Canadian rocker and the man responsible for one of the greatest power ballads of all time, Bryan Adams, has announced that he is cancelling his upcoming concert in Mississippi due to the state's treatment of its LGBT citizens.

Taking to Instagram earlier this morning, the 56-year-old musician, who was due to perform on Thursday at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, explained that he did not feel comfortable performing in a state which denies some of its population 'their civil rights'.

Uploading a photograph of a rainbow, Bryan wrote: "Mississippi has passed anti-LGBT ‘Religious Liberty’ bill 1523. I find it incomprehensible that LGBT citizens are being discriminated against in the state of Mississippi."

"I cannot in good conscience perform in a State where certain people are being denied their civil rights due to their sexual orientation," he continued in a move which mimics Bruce Springsteen's decision to cancel his North Carolina gig.

Extending his support to his LGBT fans, the Run To You singer wrote: "Therefore i’m cancelling my 14 April show at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Using my voice I stand in solidarity with all my LGBT friends to repeal this extremely discriminatory bill."

The multi award-winning star finished his post by offering some hope to fans disappointed by the star's decision, writing: "Hopefully Mississippi will right itself and I can come back and perform for all of my many fans. I look forward to that day. ‪#‎stop1523‬"

Unsurprisingly, the singer has received a lot of support for his decision, with one Instagram user writing: "I'm so glad you are using your voice to stand up for the LGBT citizens – unbelievable in this day and age that this is still going on – thank you for making a stand."

The new laws, which are due to take effect on July 1st, will permit religious groups and private businesses from refusing service to members of the LGBT community.

They were first romantically linked way back in 2013, but Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner are still keeping us guessing.

The singer and model were spotted together for the first time since they rang  in the New Year together in the Caribbean.

The pair were recognised by a fan who took to Twitter to share a picture of them in a shop in LA.

But now, the two lovebirds were spotted having a lunch date together and they looked all sorts of cute.

It was an emotional day at Aintree today as an Irish horse and jockey won the race.

19-year-old David Mullins won for the very first time, and his little brother, Charlie just couldn't keep the tears back.

Some of you may know that Louis Tomlinson formed his own record label last year, a little imprint on Simon Cowell's Syco label.

In October the singer announced that he would be working alongside the famed music producer to create a new girl group – and it's all underway now.

Louis spent this week in the studio, working with American teenagers Annika Rose, Charlotte Dean, Marlhy Murphy and Lexil Lynn Frazier in LA. 

According to The Sun, Louis set them up with One Direction songwriters and producers, but he still needs to make a few final touches to the girl group.

"Now Louis is on a break from One Direction he is getting stuck in to work on his record label," a source told the newspaper.

"With the help of his team he's found four of the most talented young girls and set them up with the best songwriters in the business. 

"They are all proper musicians and play their own instruments so it's not your average girl band… It's early days and the line-up isn't finalised yet but they are gelling well."

During the Late Late Show last night, there was a segment on how sausages are really made – and let's just say, it didn't go down well.

To make matters worse, the audience and viewers became very frustrated when Ryan Tubridy began to play with a pig’s head which was sitting on a table.

Some didn’t think the head should have even been there and others thought it was highly distasteful of Ryan to play with it. It's safe to say that Twitter was absolutely flooded with complaints:

Irish Harry Potter star Devon Murray has been ordered by a judge to pay €260,000 in commission fees to his former agent.

It was heard in the High Court yesterday that the actor made more than €1 million for his work in the wizarding flick and he apparently spent it on drinks, cars and girls.

“It wasn’t all women, cars and drink,” Devon told the Independent.

According to the site, the actor said he was ”gutted but there’s not a lot we can do now” after the judge ruled.

Next month, Nicky Byrne will battle it out at the Eurovision for Ireland – yet, he thinks we don't have a chance of winning.

Goss.ie reports that while Nicky hopes he might do well because of his star status, the chances are slim.

“I don’t know from an Irish point of view, if the Eurovision is even winnable anymore,” he told the site.

“We’ve fallen off a cliff with Eurovision. The way the other countries select their songs is different, they hold big TV shows, it’s equivalent to the X Factor in terms of production and viewership.

“Even if I do half descent and we claw our way back into good results, maybe next year someone else will step up to the plate and the Eurovision will become something that established acts do."

Well, we don't have all the confidence now, do we, Nicky?

It seems like they were the perfect pair, but Vicky Pattison and Spencer Matthew's relationship is now over.

According to The Sun, Vicky didn't want to be hurt by his infamous Lothario reputation.

Spencer told the paper: "Vicky has friend-zoned me.

"She sat me down at the end of Monaco and expressed her concerns that being in a full-blown relationship with me could be a little bit dangerous. My track record is not ideal."

No Spencer, it's not at all.

This morning, Rob Kardashain shared pictures on Instagram of his sister Kim Kardashian – but we haven't a frickin' clue what they mean.

In the first snap of Kim, she's has an LA Lakers filter and is heard saying, "in honour of Rob's big day."

What?! Are Rob and Chyna getting married today? And is Kim throwing shade or showing love? Or have they fooled us all?

The next picture shows Kim with a crying filter on and she gushes, mockingly, "Rob, we need to talk."

Georgia Penna has given us another little teaser of her twin boys.

When Georgia became a mum at the end of last year she told her fans that she would not be posting pictures of her twins on social media.

It's Friday, which means it's time to kick back, relax and have a few cocktails. 

And whether you're going out or staying in, we definitely have you sorted. Koh Restaurant has let us in on one of their juicy cocktail recipes, and we just can't get enough.

Ingredients:

  • 20ml raspberry vodka
  • 30ml pineapple juice
  • 30ml raspberry puree
  • Prosecco

To make raspberry-infused vodka: Add 12 raspberries to 700ml bottle of vodka and infuse for 5-7 days

Method:

  1. Add the raspberry vodka, pineapple juice and raspberry puree into a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add ice and shake for 15 seconds.
  3. Strain the drink into a coupe glass and top with Prosecco.
  4. Garnish with a raspberry and enjoy!

 

But that's for staying in, ladies!

If you really want to kick back at the weekend then head to Koh Restaurant and Bar on Jervis Street, Dublin where you can enjoy a few drinks with the girls in their lounge area and bar (it's not just food, you know!).

The Asain/Thai inspired restaurant is also celebrating the Thai New Year from the 13-15 April. Open from midday, there's no better place to relax and soak in the culture… and the drinks!
