David Brent – arguably one of Ricky Gervais’ most famous creations – has been dividing opinion since he first bumbled onto our screens in 2001.

To some, the fictional office manager and aspiring popstar is absolute comedy gold, but to others he represents nothing more than a complete and utter watch-through-your-fingers cringe-fest.

If, however, you’re one of millions who consider David a total television triumph and championed his band Forgone Conclusion from day one, you’re gonna be all over his latest offering to the music gods.

Ahead of the release of David Brent: Life on the Road on August 19th, Entertainment One has released David’s official music video for Lady Gypsy, and it’s everything you could imagine and more.

We don’t want to ruin it by giving anything away, so just take a moment and properly saviour David serenading his beloved lady gypsy.

Kendall Jenner is moving – and her new house is totally swoon-worthy.

Right in the heart of the Sunset Strip, the model has bought Emily Blunt and John Krasinski's former home for $6.5m (€5.8m).

It's kitted out with six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a huge pool and an amazing view over West Hollywood.

Lying on 4,800 square feet, Kendall signed all the documents on Wednesday and the deal closed this morning – and we just can't wait to see how Kris Jenner will decorate it (because let's be honest, we all know she will.)

Oh Chrissy, where would we be without your slick one-liners, cutting comebacks and downright hilarious approach to life and motherhood?!

Proving yet again she's one of the soundest celebs out there, the Sports Illustrated model admitted that being uber-famous doesn't make you immune to total mortification.

Taking to Twitter last night, the Lip Sync Battle co-host shared a series of tweets which had the internet lolling all over themselves ever since.

"Our hotel warned us last night they were doing an emergency drill today but I still freaked out and ran outside half naked with the baby," she told her 1.93 million followers yesterday.

"Truly thought it was over for us. Can never show my face around these employees ever again," she added alongside three crying-laughing emojis.

After explaining that she kept screaming "Where's my purse?", the new mama admitted that despite her tweets she was actually in bits since it all kicked off.

"It's on my snapchat. I'm still shaking. Strobes and intercoms, it was too real, man," she wrote. "I just threw up. I do not handle fake trauma well."

Chrissy's tweets have been liked thousands of times since she made the brave decision to revel she truly is as goon-like as us.

Never change, Chrissy!

It has been exactly a year since our favourite celebrity couple announced their intention to go their separate ways, and the world stopped believing in true love for a second.

On June 30th of last year, Ben Affleck, and Jennifer Garner announced that they would be splitting up after 10 years of, what seemed like, marital bliss.

The couple, who have three kids together, made a statement to E! News where they said "We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."

It's safe to say that this has been one of the most amicable celebrity splits of all time, leaving us all wondering WHAT is going on?

A number of months after their announcement, rumours of an affair started to spread. Nicknamed 'nannygate' by the American press, it was revealed that Ben was seeing his children's nanny, which is a real no-no in anyone' s language.

Jennifer, 44, rose above the allegations, and continued to be friendly and civil to her babydaddy.

The question, however, remains: Where do the pair stand today?

Well, according to PEOPLE, there is yet to be any signs of a divorce. A friend of Jennifer's told PEOPLE that "Ben still doesn't want the divorce."

Despite this, it would seem that the separation is still on, with the source going on to say that Jennifer "doesn't seem to mind at all that the divorce is not finalised, but she seems adamant about going through with it."

However, when Ben, 43, appeared as a guest on the HBO TV show Any Given Wednesday last week, and was asked about his career, he said 'My wife was really instrumental and helpful in me doing a lot of that work.'

Yes, that's right – WIFE.

So no matter what the outcome of this drama, it is clear that Bennifer will always have a lotta love in their hearts for each other.

If you can't hear the phrase 'forgive and forget' without picturing the moment Lauren Conrad laid that stinger on ex-BFF Heidi, you, like us, were a die-hard Hills fan.

Checking in with the rich kids of Hollywood and their endless dramz was part and parcel of growing for us, so when they finally called time on the MTV reality show we didn't know how we'd live without Lauren's pensive stares and Whitney's permanently stunned expression.

Thankfully, it looks like our pining for days gone by will soon come to an end if recent uploads to Instagram are anything to go by, but it looks like people are more concerned by Whitney's health than her foray back into reality TV.

Whitney took to social media yesterday to share a selfie which she captioned: "Shoot day!! Filming something extra special for y'all that will air on August 2nd on MTV #100ThingsAboutTheHills," but it didn't exactly get the reaction she anticipated.

While fans were thrilled by the designer's return to the show which launched her career, many were seriously concerned about her appearance.

"OMG….WHITNEY! WTH? Please eat, you are looking sick," wrote one. "You are so beautiful and it's ok put on a couple pounds despite society's expectations."

Echoing these sentiments, another fan of the star wrote: "Always loved you Whitney, but I have to say it looks like you're getting way too thin. Take good care of yourself."

"As long as you're healthy and you're happy the way you are, then I will say no more. Love ya and have fun with filming," they added.

Many Instagram users insisted the 31-year-old had lost too much weight, with another writing: "Way too skinny beautiful lady….have some milkshake – it's good for you."

Whitney will be back on our screens on August 2nd.

When applying for jobs most of us tend to err on the side of caution and use photos in which we are modestly dressed but, according to the experts, the opposite approach actually works better for women.

According to The Independent, a new French study has found – rather depressingly – that covering up can actually hinder a woman’s chance of bagging her job of their dreams.

For three years Dr Sevag Kertechian used the CVs of two women who were similar in looks, skills and experience to apply for jobs in sales and accounting.

The main difference between the two applications was the attached photos.

The results showed that the woman wearing a low-cut dress in her CV photograph was asked to 62 more interviews from 200 sales job applications than the woman whose outfit was less revealing.

A similar result was found for accounting applications with 68 more call-backs being given to whoever wore the low-cut dress.

In the interest of fairness, half of each woman’s applications featured her with a low cut neckline, while the other half showed her in a round neck.

Speaking at the Appearance Matters conference, Dr Kertechian said: “Our results showed interesting trends as low-cut dresses significantly influenced the choice of the recruiters, even for accounting positions.”

"Regardless of the job, whether customer-facing saleswoman or office-based accountant the candidate with the low cut clothing received more positive answers.”

“The results were quite shocking and negative but not necessarily surprising.”

To most of us, today is simply the start of a new month – Howiya July, looking good!

However, on this fine Friday, Canadians across the globe celebrate the founding of their lovely country with Canada Day.

Back in 1867, an act was passed that combined three former British colonies into one nation, and so Canada was born.

canada

This beautiful country, that shares a border with our American friends, has a lot to be proud of. It has become renowned for it's majestic scenery and the wonderful individuals that populate it.

With a population of just over 36 million people, it's no wonder that some of our favourite celebs hail from this snowy land.

canada

And we are here to highlight our favourite Canadians of all time, and thank them for the impact they have had in today's world.

Drake

Our favourite R&B master, Aubrey Graham, is a Toronto native. Drake frequently refers to 'the six' in his music, which is a slang word for Toronto.

As a platinum award-winning artist, we have no doubt that Canada is proud of this 28-year-old super star.

Ryan Gosling

Ryan, who made us fall in love with him in The Notebook, was born and raised in the Ontario region of Canada.

No real explanation needed here, THANK YOU Canada, thank you for giving us Ryan Gosling.

Kim Catrall

One of our favourite New Yorkers, Kim was actually raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she moved at just three-months-old.

The actress, who is widely loved for her sassy portrayal of Samantha Jones in Sex and the City, lives in New York full time, but also still owns property in her homeland.

Matthew Perry

Ah, Chandler Bing, the nineties would not have been the same without you!

Matthew Perry grew up in Ottawa, Ontario with his mother Suzanne, who was press secretary to the Canadian Prime Minister in the 1980s.

Could he BE any more Canadian?

Justin Bieber

What would a list of awesome Canadians be without the Biebs? Useless, that's what!

The Sorry singer hails from Ontario, and happens to be close friends with fellow Canadian, Drake.

Justin has French-Canadian roots, and as a result is fluent in the French language. OUI OUI!

We thank you Canada, have a fantastic day of celebrations!

With debate surrounding the result of the Brexit referendum continuing to rage, more than a few of us are starting to pull at our collars as we're forced to admit that we haven't quite gotten our heads around the implications of the whole thing.

And while recent reports have bombarded us with endless information pertaining to the UK and the EU's relationship not to mention Ireland's role in the whole thing, some of us still need a little help understanding what the future holds.

Oh, and just when you thought you had it nailed, Boris Johnson had to go and throw another spanner in the works by pulling out of the race for Prime Minister leaving many of us totally flummoxed by political events over the last seven days.

If you have to remind yourself who's who and what's what when it come to European politics, you're not alone and the good folk behind comedy act, Foil Arms and Hog, NEED you to know this.

Take it away, lads.

Every single one of us knows how hideous first dates can be, so to think a stranger – and a famous one at that – might be rooting for you and your date from across a restaurant would hit anyone in the feels, right?

Well, Twitter certainly thinks so if the reaction to a recent post from Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall is anything to by.

Taking to social media last night, the X Factor success story explained that while on a night out with her boyfriend, they spotted a girl on a first date and really wanted to boost her confidence, but Jade lost her bottle at the crucial moment.

"To the young lady we just sat next to at The Shard who'll probably never see this, Jed and I followed you and your date out of the restaurant and down the lift (bit weird) to try and tell you how beautiful you were, "Jade wrote.

"We could see it was a first date and a bit nerve wracking and we thought it would give you a confidence boost and make you look good in front of your date (we've all been there)" she continued.

"Needless to say when the time came to seize the moment in the revolving door we squeezed in with you (again, weird) to tell you how pretty you looked, I absolutely buckled and couldn't do it," Jade confessed.

"And now you'll never know how much we were rooting for you. We hope the rest of your date goes well," she finished before signing off on behalf of herself and her boyfriend Jed.

Unsurprisingly, Little Mix fans fell all over themselves as they rushed to tell Jade how lovely she was, with one writing; "AWWW it's so sweet I bet if she sees this it'll make her day lol."

"This is lowkey the cutest thing I ever read in my whole life," gushed another.

How much do we hope that gal spotted it?!

Danielle Brooks, who is best known for playing the ever effervescent Taystee on Orange is the New Black, has divided Twitter with a post about flying first-class.

Taking to social media last night, the 26-year-old actress expressed her disappointment with airport staff who appear surprised by the fact she would be flying first class.

Outlining her irritation for her followers, she wrote: "I hate when gate agents look at me like I've never flown first class and say "You're in first class, lucky you! really tho."

And while the tweet was liked more than 2,000 times, some Twitter users struggled to understand Danielle's perspective on the issue.

"Have some humility. Not everyone knows who you are," wrote one Twitter user while another tweeted: "There are people who have to be offended by something so they find anything. You are one of those people."

Stunned that some individuals seemed incapable of acknowledging the possible motivation for the agents' surprise, a fan of the actress wrote: "Spoken like a tru white dude. Do u think white people get astonishment and 'lucky you' comments when flying 1º class?" (sic)

"Say man, I suggest u stop telling black folks how they should feel about certain things," wrote another. "Ur not qualified to do so." (sic)

Debate raged beneath Danielle's post with some Twitter users insisting that the actress was reading too much into the comment while others maintained that 'casual racism' shouldn't be ignored.

As if there aren’t enough bums on the Internet already, actress Kate Hudson has gone and uploaded a new nude to Instagram for no obvious reason other than because she can.

In the full-length image the A-list star can be seen posing as she looks out a large window with her bare bum to the camera – you know, as you do.

The dimly lit photo is captioned with no other explanation than the hashtags “#tbt”, “#PrettyHappy”, “#LOVE” and “#AlmostFriday” but in fairness to the star she probably doesn't need an excuse when she looks that good in the share.

This isn’t the first time the 37-year-old has shared a picture of her pert behind with the world.

Back in November Kate allegedly ordered her stylist to share a photo of her in the bath in an apparent bid to get Nick Jonas’ attention.  Crafty!

Well, if you’ve got it – which Kate clearly has – you might as well flaunt it.

The subject of Serial – a podcast hosted by Sarah Koenig which examined the circumstances surrounding the death of a Baltimore teen and captured the imagination of millions in 2014 – has been granted a new trial.

Adnan Syed, who has always maintained his innocence, was found guilty of murdering his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee in 2000 in a judicial move which has come in for considerable criticism.

But after spending 17 years behind bars, Adnan Syed was yesterday granted a new trial by Baltimore judge Martin Welch.

While the judge disagreed that Syed's original defence, Cristina Gutierrez, had provided ineffective counsel and withheld crucial evidence, he did concede that Gutierrez should have cross-examined a state's expert witness.

And while the development does signal good news for Syed, who was just 17 when he was imprisoned, his current attorney, C Justin Brown, admits they expect the state to appeal the decision.

"We’re prepared to fight. Our heels are dug in," he said. "We know the state’s not going to give up and we’ll be ready."

Family friend, Rabia Chaudry, who was responsible for approaching Sarah Koenig with details of the case which laid the foundation for the phenomenally popular podcast,  is understandably overjoyed by the judge's decision, saying: "I’m feeling pretty confident right now."

"I am shaking with joy, shaking. This was the biggest hurdle," she added. "It’s really hard to get a new trial."

Hae Min Lee's family still maintain that Syed is guilty of murdering the popular 18-year-old high school student.
