With discussion surrounding rape culture – and its prevalence in everyday life – continuing to rage around the world, it's no surprise that things got more than a little heated on Zendaya's Twitter page yesterday when she saw herself included in a post about rape.

Sharing an image, which has since been deleted, the 19-year-old actress expressed her distress over our generation's regard for women and sex crimes.

According to The Independent, the former Disney drew her followers' attention to a post which featured her, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna alongside a reference to 2013 film, The Purge.

Drawing on the premise of the movie – where all crime is legalised for 12 hours – the Twitter user asked: "If the purge was real, who y'all raping?'

Understandably horrified by the post, Zendaya lashed out at the Twitter user, writing: "This is absolutely disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself."

"Is this really what my generation thinks is ok? she asked "People are sick."

Having gotten the star's attention, the Twitter troll basked in his newfound online notoriety before Zendaya cut him down with a quick assessment of his characteristics.

"The only thing that's lit is your immorality and inhumanity young man. I pray you find some sense," she wrote.

"I don't think I've ever seen something so disrespectful," wrote one of Zendaya's followers in response to the post while another questioned: "Why are people like this allowed on earth?"

Zendaya's posts on the subject have been liked more than 40,000 times since yesterday.

The Euromillions jackpot was, once again, won in Ireland this weekend, resulting in 22 VERY happy Dublin Bus workers.

The jackpot of €24 million was won by a syndicate of 22 Dublin bus employees, who are all great friends, on Friday night.

Here is everything we know so far…

1. The syndicate was made of 22 men that work for Dublin Bus.

2. Insiders have said that two of the winners recently retired from work, while another two are currently off work on sick-leave.

3. Dublin Bus Chief Executive Ray Coyne has also congratulated the winners, saying “I am delighted for each and every one of them and their families. It is great to see such a large number of our employees sharing in the win. We wish them all the best.”

4. None of the jackpot winners have spoken out as of yet, but five of the lucky men turned up to work this morning- FAIR PLAY.

5. Unbelievably another syndicate based at the bus same depot won more than €4,000 in the same lotto draw. Winners of this walked away with €126 each.

6. Former Lord Mayor of Dublin, Christy Burke, has also spoken out, sending his well-wishes to the 22 new millionaires.

Mr Burke said “It’s great to see it was workers who have been giving out tickets all their lives that finally got the right one."

7. The jackpot was made up of  €23.8 million, which will give each of the winners each a fortune of €1.08 million.

8. This is not the first time that the jackpot has been won in Ireland. In 2005, Dolores McNamara from Limerick, won a casual €115 million in the competition, making her one of the wealthiest people in Ireland.

What would you do if you won the lotto?

This afternoon, presenter Chris Evans has announced that he is stepping down from Top Gear and will no longer front the hit show.

"Gave it my best shot but sometimes that's not enough," he said in a Twitter message. "The team are beyond brilliant, I wish them all the best."

However, the 50-year-old added that he plans on maintaining his other projects, stating: "Full steam ahead then with Radio 2, CarFest, Children In Need, 500 Words and whatever else we can dream up in the future."

This morning, police in the UK confirmed that following an allegation made by an anonymous woman in May, Mr Evans may be charged in relation to an incident of historical sex assault.

The woman, a former colleague, claims that he grabbed her breasts during the 1990s and furthermore claims that he regularly exposed himself in her presence.

Chris has absolutely denied the accusations, which he says amount to nothing more than “witch hunt”. He has added: “All these bullying claims and other allegations are just ridiculous.”

It is understood that Mr Evans made the decision to leave Top Gear last week.

Yesterday, just 1.9m viewers tuned into the show, which has been hit by falling ratings since the departure of controversial Jeremy Clarkson.

Mark Linsey, director of BBC Studios, said this afternoon: "Chris is stepping down from his duties on Top Gear. He says he gave it his best shot doing everything he could to make the show a success.

"He firmly believes that the right people remain, on both the production team and presenting team, to take the show forward and make it the hit we want it to be."

The closest we’ve ever gotten to a yacht is singing I’m On a Boat over and over while our mates threw flipflops at us, so getting to steal a sneak peek inside a real one is kind of a big deal.

The Internet can be a nasty place for women whose bodies don’t abide by “normal” beauty standards and as one endurance athlete recently proved that idea applies to women at both ends of the size spectrum.

By the time Brittany Aäe was 39 weeks pregnant, the fitness coach was fed up of people criticising her toned body.

Taking to Instagram, Brittany posted a photo of her heavily pregnant body beside that of plus-sized model Tess Holliday – who recently gave birth to a baby boy – to highlight that despite their very different body types and weights both women were being subject to abuse for their pregnancy figures.

She wrote: “In this image these two women are at about the same stage in their pregnancies – 39 weeks.”

in this image these two women are at about the same stage in their pregnancies – 39 weeks. that is the gorgeous @tessholliday looking boss on the left and me with the defined abs on the right. she is a voluptuous model and I am a sinewy mountain athlete. both of us are shamed for our size – she for her roundness and me for my smallness. both of us are having or had healthy pregnancies as validated by our healthcare providers. both of us are making empowered choices about our personal health. why does our society shame women whose bodies do not adhere to some narrow notion of false normalcy?  let's instead keep our thoughts and words about other people's size to ourselves. pregnancy is tough enough without also being body shamed. #effyourbeautystandards #momshame

After pointing out both the similarities and differences between herself and Tess, Brittany – who purposely documented her pregnancy fitness regime for those who were interested in staying in shape through pregnancy – asked why were they being so heavily criticised.

throughout pregnancy I was so scared of how my body would look and feel after pregnancy. as a mind-body athlete, my body is my sacred vehicle for gnostic movement, my only home, my treasure. I couldn't bear the thought of ringing in my big 3-0 (two weeks from now!) in a body that didn't feel like home. so, after overthinking it too much this is me two weeks before pregnancy, twenty weeks pregnant, thirty nine weeks pregnant (and actually in labor), and one week postpartum. when I was at the gym each day taking these photos I did the same workout: ten pitches in the 5.10-5.11 range followed by a run. happy to report that, in that last image, I felt STRONGER than in the first image. I am sharing not to brag, to make others feel bad about their own unique journeys, or to put any 'should's out there. I share to dispel fear other pregnant athletes might hold about their own post-pregnancy bodies. please allow these images to broaden your idea of what a 'normal' pregnant and postpartum body looks like. once again I feel at home in my body – except this body just got done blood doping for ten months while wearing a progressive weight vest. I'm coming for you, Bust tha Move! #pregnantathlete

Brittany – who runs the Magnetic North blog – told Elle she was sick of “the general idea that women’s bodies are somehow public property”.

We think that is something everyone is sick of.  Point well made.

If tending to your bikini area with a razor is second nature to you, you may want to consider the warnings issued by experts who know so much more about the inner workings of our bits than we could ever claim to.

Commenting on the trend which exists among a vast majority of women who choose to remove most – if not all – of their pubic hair, Dr Vanessa Mackay of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists suggests we need to rethink this practice.

Speaking recently to The Independent, she explained: "Pubic hair offers a natural barrier to keep things clean, to decrease contact with viruses and bacteria, and to protect the tender skin of the area."

According to those in the know, when we go to town on ourselves with the razor for both hygiene and aesthetic purposes, we are actually increasing our chances of contracting infections.

"While protecting against diseases and skin problems, pubic hair prevents foreign particles like dust and pathogenic bacteria from entering the body," she continued.  "Pubic hair also helps to control the moisture of the area which decreases the chances of yeast infections."

It sounds like we might need to start embracing our natural look…

Let us set the scene for you.

It's a quarter to four in the morning, you and your BFF are slumped across the kitchen table after a night out and as one of you cracks open more vino with the heel of your shoe, the other begins to have what can only be described as an existential crisis.

Teetering perilously close to the edge, she insists you mean more to her than – hic – anyone else in the world, but – hic – what is the point in this whole – hic – thing called life?

If that sounds familiar, you're going to feel like you've already read Justin Bieber's latest post because it basically sounds like all of us after a few too many gins with a few less hiccups and a lot more punctuation.

"It's crazy how some people don't even question or ponder the reason for their existence and are okay going through the motions," he began in a post which has clocked up 427,000 likes in just two hours,

"We don't live to die," he insisted." We have purpose and meaning! Step outside your comfort zone and challenge your friends by asking those tough questions like what do you think the meaning of life is? What do you think your purpose is?"

"I'm not saying you have to believe the same thing I believe but at least have the discussion," he pleaded.

"Sometimes it can be scary opening yourself up to what can come from those conversations, and I think it can be easier sometimes to just avoid and not think about it."

Finishing off the post before faceplanting signing out, the Love Yourself singer wrote "But I think it's worth it!!!"

Good man yourself, Justin. Sure, you're dead right.

Many of us have heard that “eating is cheating” when it comes to drinking, but how dangerous is it to actually believe and apply that concept in reality?

Well according to new research carried out by the University of Houston, combining alcohol consumption with more extreme diet type behaviours can lead to a condition called “drunkorexia”.

Science Daily have defined drunkorexia as “a non-medical term that refers to a combination of alcohol with diet-related behaviours such as food restriction, excessive exercising, or bingeing and purging” – basically cutting calories in various ways to avoid alcohol-related weight-gain, get drunk easier or both.

Although drunkorexia is not a new phenomenon, this study suggests it is now affecting more people than ever before with 80% of the 1,184 students surveyed having recently engaged in at least one drunkorexic behaviour.

Assistant Professor Dipali Rinker who was involved in the study said: "College students appear to engage in these behaviors to increase alcohol effects or reduce alcohol-related calories by engaging in bulimic-type or diet/exercising/calorie-restricted eating behaviours."

According to the study, women were more likely to engage in bulimic-type behaviours than men but men and women were equally likely to skip meals if they planned a heavy night of drinking.

Experts have warned that drunkorexic behaviour can have negative consequences in both the long and short terms.

Not eating before drinking heavily increases the chances of blacking out, being injured and making decisions you'll regret later on.

As always drinking in moderation is advised, as is following a healthy diet and exercise regime.

We've seen some gas things at Luas stops in our day, but none of them have ANYTHING on this Irish dancing bride who was captured on camera this weekend.

While waiting at the Jervis Street stop, Facebook user, Christian Murdoch, found himself understandably captivated by the scene unfolding in front of him, and thankfully grabbed his phone in time to share it with the rest of us.

In a floor-length wedding gown and veil, a woman decided to kick up her heels (literally) and dance a jig with another girl while a bystander provided the soundtrack for their performance,

The footage, which has been viewed more than 5,000 times since its upload, was captioned: "I was really enjoying this then the Luas came!"

While Facebook users were quick to give props to the two dancers, an even bigger number were impressed by the singer, with one member of the public writing: "Let's hope the video goes viral and he gets some kind of recording deal!"

Ladies, this is why we love our country…

In an industry which consistently focuses on the aesthetic, Aussie actress, Rebel Wilson, insists she has no intention of conforming to Hollywood's beauty ideals, and even credits her shape for her global success.

According to The Independent, the Pitch Perfect actress insists that despite what Hollywood would have you think, gaining weight actually did wonders for her career and celebrity profile.

Reflecting on the moment which caused her to question the link between appearance and audience appreciation, Rebel recalled being in a play with an actress larger than her.

Thanks again to @flaremag for making me their March cover girl. Issue out now!!

Speaking to The Telegraph, she said: "I was like: ‘Oh. That girls’ getting a lot of laughs, a lot easier than me. What is it?’ Because I don’t think there’s much difference in talent."

"And I remember distinctly thinking: ‘I think it’s because she’s fatter’. And then, I don’t know if it was mega-conscious, but I thought: ‘How can I get more laughs? Maybe if I was a bit fatter…’ And then suddenly I was fatter and doing comedy,” she explained.

Rebel said her appearance has predominantly worked to her advantage, once telling Cosmopolitan: "When I walked into my agent’s office for the first time, they looked and me and said, ‘Wow, we have nobody on our books like you.’ And they signed me on my second day here."

The 36-year-old actress, who suffers from a hormonal imbalance, acknowledges that her perspective is far from the norm in Tinseltown, saying: "I saw my size as being an advantage whereas so many women see it as a disadvantage."

If we didn't love her enough already…

Back in the day the avocado was a mysterious being people in hotter countries always seemed to be putting on their faces, but since earning its superfood status the green and black beauty has received international acclaim.

Unfortunately for avo-lovers on this side of the world though, all that creamy green goodness still comes at fairly noticeable cost.

But not to worry – someone has finally come up with a simple (and cheap) device which will allow you to grow you own avocado tree at home.

The AvoSeedo is a plastic avocado-shaped bowl with a flower-shaped hole in its centre which can be bought online for less than €12.

To grow an avocado tree, all you have to do is place a peeled avocado seed into the hole and then put the AvoSeedo into a water-filled pot.

From then on your avocado plantation will be pretty low maintenance – only requiring fresh water every couple of weeks.

After one to three months you’ll finally have your own teeny tiny avocado producing machine.  Sounds amazing right?

Well, unfortunately the Daily Mail has discovered it can take up to 13 years before the tree would be mature enough to produce any actual avocados.

So unless you really have the patience of a saint, you might have to find some other source of avocados in the meantime.
