22 hours ago, Miley Cyrus took to Twitter, and sounded pretty damn upbeat.

Sharing a photo of herself rocking a badge and a broad grin, Miley wrote: "I voted today for @HillaryClinton. I am so proud of all of you who did the same. #imwithher"

Less than a day later, the popstar returned to her social media account and shed tears in front of her 31 million online followers.

Sounding understandably distraught by this morning's result, the Wrecking Ball singer struggled to maintain her composure as she questioned her country's decision to instate Donald Trump.

"I do want to say I have been very vocal in my support for everyone besides Donald Trump, heavily supported Bernie, heavily supported Hillary" Miley said.

"And I still think that in her lifetime she deserves to be the first female president and that's what makes me so sad."

Dissolving into tears, Miley continued: "It's that I just wish that she had that opportunity because she fought for so long and because I believe her when she says that she loves this county. This is all she's ever done – she's given her life to make it better."

The video, which has racked up 30,000 likes, then showed Miley attempting to reason her way out of her upset and focus positively on the future before again breaking down as she reflected on the impact Barack Obama had during his time in office.

"Happy hippies, we adjust and accept everyone who they are. so Donald Trump I accept you and I even accept you as President of the United States," Miley admitted.

"President Obama, Mr Obama, I want to say thank you for everything you've done," she added.

Miley's fans wasted no time showing their support for the singer, with one writing: "Love you Miley. This is beautiful. Thanks for being you."

She’s got eyes on the back of her neck, an elephant on her forearm and a coat of arms across her ribcage, but Cara Delevingne’s tattoo collection remains a work in progress.

Yesterday, celebrity tattoo artist Dr Woo took to Instagram to display his latest piece of work – a detailed snake tattoo which weaves its way from its owner’s palm right down to the knuckle of her middle finger.

According to the image’s tag, that hand belongs to the famous British model.

A recent post from an Amber Heard fan page suggests that the actress was involved in designing the tat for her 24-year-old friend.

And to further the celebrity links to the unique piece of body art, fans are speculating that the serpent symbol could be a subtle dig at Cara's recent ex, St. Vincent, who found romance with Twilight’s Kristen Stewart just weeks after splitting with the Suicide Squad star.

Earlier this week, we stumbled across one brave woman who decided to ditch shampoo for good.

And just as we'd come to terms with how good her hair looks despite joining the 'no-poo' brigade, we came across another young woman who has chosen to ignore the demands placed on her by society.

22-year-old Elyse Brautigam, a native of Hawaii, took to YouTube in recent weeks to explain her motivation for ditching the deodorant in favour of a more natural scent.

"I haven't worn deodorant in probably around a year, give or take a couple of days," Elyse told YouTubers. "It was around two and half years ago that I transitioned my diet to a vegan diet."

Elyse explains that this dietary change had a major impact on her hormone levels, adding: "My body odour has changed quite a bit. My body smells differently."

And despite the fact Elyse is an avid gym-bunny who happily 'sweats like a pig', she's been pleasantly surprised by the impact her diet has changed on her body odour.

The popular YouTuber has attracted serious attention, with her latest upload racking up almost a quarter of a million likes

Move over bomber jackets and embroidered boots, the most sought after style item on the Irish market has to be the Repeal The 8th jumper.

Yup, as Irish people donned the black jumpers and T-shirts en masse to show their support for the cause it became clear that wearing your political beliefs on your sleeve (literally) has never been more stylish.

The jumpers first went on sale in July, as part of a campaign to bring visibility to the issue of abortion rights – still one of Ireland's most controversial conflicts.

The jumpers, along with T-shirts, were hugely popular and sold out in mere days.

However, if you missed them during the summer there is some good news: the items are now returning… and we can't wait to get out hands on one.

Nine Crows, arguably one of Ireland's top vintage retailers, has teamed up with Repeal The 8th to host a pop-up at both their Dublin and Galway stores.

The events are happening tomorrow, Thursday the November 10, between 6-8pm.

Nine Crows will continue to sell the Repeal merchandise after tomorrow's launch, which includes jumpers, T-shirts and tote bags, along with a few other 'surprises'.

And yes, we're keeping our fingers crossed that one of those surprises is the long awaited Repeal The 8th bomber jacket!

The threads won't be available online, but according to the Repeal Project's Instagram, the online store should be back up and running next month, so even if you can't make it down to Nine Crows you should be able to snap one up very soon.

We’re still thawing out after a President Trump-induced shock-attack but, apparently, ALL the signs were there that this election result was meant to be.

Want to know how we know? The Simpsons predicted the business mogul’s victory 16 years ago!

Seasoned fans of the cartoon-comedy responded to Trump’s election by reminding everyone that, in an episode which aired back in 2000, Lisa stepped into the role of POTUS – after Trump had brought the country to its knees.

In a clip which has been doing the rounds today, President Simpson is seen enquiring as to ‘how bad’ a state Trump left the country in.

Secretary Van Houten (it’s Milhouse, yo!) simply responds: “We’re broke.”

Pitch on FOX what whaaat tv fox

The clip has been doing the rounds online, with many highlighting the irony of the current situation the US has found itself in.

Meanwhile, one of the show’s writers, Dan Greaney, addressed the spooky coincidence head-on.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Greaney admitted: “It was a warning to America. And that just seemed like the logical last stop before hitting bottom.”

“It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane,” he added.

Wow, we actually have chills.

Much and all as we love gin here at SHEmazing! HQ (and we love it a lot), the idea of necking a straight glass is not for us.

And while we tend to mix it simply because we couldn't handle it in its natural form, something tells us that our ancestors weren't worried about their delicate palates when they created the much-loved G&T.

Unlike the rest of us who tend to add a mixer to our spirit, it turns out the people that went before us actually started with the tonic and then decided to add gin to cope with the taste of the former.

Our favourite mixer contains something known as quinine which was used to combat malaria back in the 1800s, but when a British officer in India decided he couldn't handle a straight tonic, he added a splash of gin, and our favourite tipple was born.

Nowadays, however, you'd need to get through at least 20 litres of gin and tonic for any kind of anti-malarial effect to take place.

And that, ladies, concludes today's History lesson…

Making sure your seasonal wardrobe is fully stocked is one of winter's many chores.

From Christmas drinks and nights out to cosy basics for lounging on those chilly Irish evenings, we've found the best on-budget bits for any festive occassion.

The ultimate party top

Luckily, Penneys is serving up this asymmetrical piece which doesn't even need added accessories due to its' built-in choker. And for only €8, we'll see you in the queue.

The slip dress

While it's definitely not the weather for silk, our obsession with slip dresses is still going strong, especially when we saw this scarlet slip from Boohoo.

Add a ribbed, long sleeved polo neck underneath to keep cosy or dress it up for evening with an oversized boyfriend coat.

The velvet choker

Chokers are here to stay for the party season, but amp it up with a few embellishments.

This baroque style piece from New Look's Christmas collection is an on-budget €9.99 and is the ideal piece to jazz up that LBD.

The seasonal watch

Staying on time in the Christmas rush has never been so chic.

ASOS has just dropped this minimalist emerald green time keeper, so treat yourself or a loved one to this evergreen piece.

The perfect jumpsuit

Culottes are still going strong, and why wouldn't they be? The wide legged trouser style is comfortable, elegant and shows off your amazing new shoes brought by Santa.

The strappy top leaves plenty of room for statement jewellery and a helping of festive faux fur, and best of all? It's only €29.99 from New Look, in stores November 16th.

A cosy cap

Keeping warm in the winter months is a nationwide hobby, and there's no better way than with a cosy hat.

This ASOS  pom pom knitted beanie is the perfect stocking filler at only €16. Or you could just keep it for yourself.

A velvet top

90s necklines aren't going anywhere, and luckily this River Island velvet plisse top is bringing full festive season glam.

Ideal for a quiet Christmas eve beverage or a full on night on the town, this top says winter without screaming December 25th. In stores this month.

Festive PJs

We all need some cosy, fluffy flannels in our lives, especially when the winter weather kicks in.

The countdown to The Late Late Toy Show has officially begun (it's on the 2nd of December, people) and Penneys is serving up the very best in Late Late Toy Show themed night wear. Lying on the couch with junk food and Ryan Tubridy's festive antics in front of us is our idea of Christmas heaven, so having the cheap and cheerful (€14) outfit to match is a no-brainer.

Instead of dividing your empties by colour in the local carpark, why not hold onto them and create a Christmas tree of epic proportions?!

After Silver Oak Cellars got the ball rolling last year, the rest of us mere mortals are catching up this time around, and Pinterest is all over it.

This is a work of art…

And this is truly beautiful…

If you (like countless others) need a little comforting in light of this morning's presidential result, Dublin's favourite doughnut shop have offered their services.

Taking to Instagram to share their latest creation with a very stressed public, the folk behind Aungier Danger didn't hide their disappointment over this morning's news.

"For years people over our side have always said things like 'Americans are stupid' etc. Today, and all on their own, they have just reinforced that for at least another 50 years!" they wrote.

Alongside a doughnut decorated with the American flag and a message that reads 'we're all f*cked', the uber popular doughnut spot added: "Introducing our #peanutbutterandjelly. Available in both store for today only!"

And while the snap has racked up hundreds of likes, not everyone is impressed by the sentiments behind the post.

Calling the store out on their remarks, one Instagram user relied: "I love your doughnuts but your racism toward "dumb" Americans is literally why you would condemn Trump if he said the same against Mexicans."

It looks, however, like others are siding with the store today, with one writing: "Ughhh we are an embarrassment to the world."

The Trump-themed doughnut will be available in the store's Aungier branch and Arnott's outlet should you get the need to feed your feelings.
