The joy of Countdown's letters board is that things are left totally up to chance – and every once in a while, we're treated to an epic combo of vowels and consonants.

Like earlier this week, when the show's co-presenter Rachel Riley saw a pretty unfortunate word arise in front of her on the board. After pulling out a 'C', an 'L' and an 'I', Rachel managed to hide her smile as she pulled out the fourth letter, which was – you've guessed it – a 'T':

Oops.

And the silliness didn't stop there, because a few letters later, Rachel was left with this:

The English presenter took to social media after the show, though she seemed surprised with all the attention the unfortunate letter combination had garnered:

If there's still a Making A Murderer-sized hole in your life, then our fave lawyer ever, Dean Strang is here to fill it.

The hot shot is coming to Cork city for A Conversation with Dean Strang… But, you're going to have to wait a while for it.

The evening of conversation is taking place in Cork Opera House on September 22 and tickets are going on sale next Thursday March 31 at the Opera House box office.

The evening will see Dean talk about the Netflix documentary, the failures of the justice system and he will also spill a few details about the Steven Avery case.

With Steven's case becoming bigger than ever, we can't wait to see the man in person and ask him a few juicy questions.

We JUST got over the Luas debacle, and now Dublin Bus drivers are seeking a pay rise, too.

A hearing took place in the Labour Court this morning, with the National Bus and Rail Union (NBRU) looking for salaries consistent with the Luas drivers' pay rise.

Last week, Luas drivers were offered increases of 18 percent over 33 months as part of a deal aimed at ending the ongoing strikes of late.

The NBRU is expected to ask for a six percent increase as well as any rise received by Luas workers, reports The Irish Times.

Honestly, we don't think we could handle another Luas strike, let alone a bus strike. Here we go again….

Kris Jenner has finally opened up about her son's relationship with Blac Chyna.

She's not one to keep her mouth shut but in a recent interview she revealed that Rob is happy with his new lady.

"He feels so much better about himself [since they started dating].

"He is doing really, really well. He is trying to be healthy and get in shape and he is also working on a couple of projects," she told Australia's The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

But even though she's delighted that her son is happy, the momager admitted that she doesn't really know too much about the former exotic dancer.

"I don't know too much about their relationship. I haven't really seen her that much and I don't know her as well as everyone else. She seems like a really nice girl but I just haven't been around her."

Rob has practically spent the past two years as a hermit, so it's safe to say we're all happy to see him out and about again.

There are a fair few iced treats that Irish people hold dear to their hearts – Choc Ices, Orange Splits and Brunches to name just a few.

But one Cork man’s dessert was left lacking earlier this week, and he wasn’t going to keep quiet about it.

Darryl O’Connell, from Goleen, County Cork, took to HB’s Facebook page on Monday to voice his concerns at “the severe reduction on the sprinkles applied” to his “personal favourite”, the trusty Brunch ice cream – and their reply was pretty amazing.

After “after a long day working on the farm pulling beet” he opened one of HB’s “delicious ice creams” to find it looking a little sadder than usual.

You can see how strongly Darryl felt from his post here:

Dear HB ice creams,I am a loyal customer of your delicious ice creams, My personal favourite being the brunch. In…

Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to  be an isolated incident.

However, Miley seems pretty satisfied with her exceedingly sprinkled Brunch.

Thankfully, HB have since replied to Daryl’s post and promise they’re going to investigate. Phew!

This isn’t the first time that our favourite childhood treats have let us down. In recent years, Irish chocolate-lovers seem to be coming across more and more cases of “shrinkflation”.

Take the drastic reduction in Quality Street size, for example:

Is nothing sacred?

If you're a Louis Walsh fan (and even if you're not), you won't be able to help laughing at the new ad for The Drive.

The Drive is a new game show airing on ITV which sees a bundle of celebrities driving a race car Top Gear-style.

Hosted by Vernon Kay, stars including Professor Green and Johnny Vegas will test their limits on a mud track.

But the funniest thing about the new ad has to be Louis. He clearly hasn't a notion how to actually drive the race car and at the end all you can hear is, "Is Louis going in reverse?!" Brilliant.

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan are basically a living embodiment of Relationship #Goals.

They both have independent and successful careers, but love spending time together. They're definitely best pals. They're totally loved up. Oh, and they both just happen to look AMAZING in swimwear.

But it seems there was some trouble in paradise yesterday when Mark took to Instagram to gush about his wife of eight months – before deleting the entire thing just hours later.

The original post, featuring an old image of Michelle looking tanned and toned in a bright pink bikini, was definitely something of a trip down memory lane for Mark.

"I will never forget the day I first saw this pic. Before we had ever met," he wrote.

"I said, 'One day I will take that girl on a date'. We then bumped into each other. After one conversation I said, 'Whatever it takes, one day I will make that girl my wife.'

As per Mark's predictions, the pair did indeed marry last July in a sumptuous English country ceremony – but the TOWIE star said he had to be persistent to get Michelle down the aisle.

"She made it hard but just over three years later it happened. Never give up on something you want so badly.

"You can make any dream come true by just believing."

So far, so adorable, right? Totally – except that a few hours later, the post was nowhere to be seen on Mark's page.

Whether Michelle wasn't happy with an old photo of her being posted, or whether Mark just had second thoughts about getting lovey-dovey on social media is unclear, but the most is most certainly gone.

Better luck next time, Wrighty.

It's only three months into the year but Zayn Malik has already changed his hair around more times than we can count.

From grey, to pink, to black and white, he's certainly taking a fancy for it.

But last night, Zayn debuted a makeover and we're totally loving it.

Yep, he shaved his head. But he's so gorgeous he can pull it off.

The last time he cut his hair this short was when we all thought he was having a meltdown as he left One Direction and split with Perrie Edwards.

But this time around, we think he has his life on track. The real question is, what will he do next? And will he out-do Kylie Jenner in the changing-hair stakes? Hmmm…

Of all the bizarre things that happen in this little country, seeing wild animals around the place is certainly something new.

And by wild, we're not talking about a fox or a rabbit found in the woods. Nope, we're talking about three MASSIVE elephants just lounging around on a green in Dublin.

Yep, we kid you not. On Tymon Park in Tallaght, local residents were welcomed to the sight of the beautiful creatures.

The Echo Newspaper reports that the elephants belong to the Belly Wien circus who are situated just across the road from the green.

The elephants were held in by a simple plastic rope, and we'd say people waiting for the bus beside them got quite a scare if they came close.

Ah, Dublin. You never fail to surprise us.

Finally! After years of waiting, Bridget Jones is finally set to return to our screens – and she's not the only cast member from the two previous films who'll be coming back.

The third film, Bridget Jones's Baby, was originally thought to be based on the third of Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones books, in which Mr. Darcy sadly doesn't feature. But instead it appears the movie will take inspiration from Ms. Fielding's newspaper columns.

And a first look at the trailer confirms that yes, Colin Firth will indeed be back as the ever-attractive Mr. Darcy.

Starring alongside Renee and Colin is former Grey's Anatomy lead Patrick Dempsey, and while we've no idea of the character he'll be playing yet, we could definitely see him in a Hugh Grant-esque cheeky love rat role.

In the teeny-tiny trailer, an ultra-slim Bridget is seen dancing the night away, checking out music festivals and generally reliving her misspent youth.

If that 15-second snippet isn;t enough for you, panic not, because the full trailer is set to be released today.

In the midst of performing at the O2 in London last night, Adele paid a powerful tribute to the victims of Brussels Airport.

Between sets, the singer stopped and praised her fans for uniting together amid the horrible event that took place yesterday.

"We're all here for the same reason. I'm hoping you've all come to be entertained by me," she said.

"I'm here to entertain you, so we're all united, so that makes us much better than them f***ers. You're on, you f***ers."

Twitter user Liam Edwards filmed the clip and captioned it, "Adele has a message for the terrorists who were involved in the # brusselsattack # AdeleLive2016 #brusselsairport."

She then asked her fans to light up their phones as a visual statement to show solidarity between them.

We've always envied Laura Whitmore's trim bod – and now she's giving us the secrets to her fitness regime.

Speaking to The Star magazine, Laura said that she enjoys various ways to stay healthy.

"I’m obsessed with Bikram yoga – I try to do that four times a week – and I also run,” she said.

She also admitted that she stays away from diets – as many of them are fads – and believes that balance is all you need.

“It’s all about balance for me. I would never completely deny myself something. I don’t believe in starvation because food is too nice.

“Sometimes I use a fitness app and think to myself, ‘I either have a glass of wine or a bar of chocolate.'”

But as all women, Laura still has her hang-ups. "I like my legs but they could always be a bit longer,” she said.

We're loving her take on a healthy and balanced lifestyle… We might just adopt it ourselves!
