Actor and model split after five years of marriage
It's a sad week for English actor and comedian David Walliams, who has split from his wife Lara Stone.
Dutch model Lara reportedly walked out of the couple's London home on Tuesday evening, leaving David "devastated," according to The Sun.
Lara and David married in 2010 in a ceremony in London's Claridges Hotel. The couple, who have a 12 year age gap, welcomed their first child, Alfred, in May 2013.
it's thought Lara took Alfred and the couple's dog, Bert, with her when she left on Tuesday.
Despite them not making any public appearances together since before Christmas, the couple's friends are said to be shocked as they believed the marriage was strong. David is reportedly equally stunned and hopes the pair can make things right, according to a source.
"David hopes it is a blip and that they can get the marriage back on track somehow, especially seeing as there is a child involved," said a friend.
Just last year Lara spoke about how happy her life with David was. "We've just bought a house together and we've got this lovely baby and lovely dog, and everything is so nice," she said in an interview in July.
The couple's last notable public appearance was at Elton John and David Furnish's wedding shortly before Christmas:
