What you wear when hitting the gym is important and no, not to impress the guys there. What you wear can either enhance or diminish your performance and leave you with either sweat patches or a dewy look – we know what look we’d prefer.

Cotton t-shirt
Don’t wear a cotton t-shirt if you want  to avoid sweaty armpits and back, it’s not a good look. Cotton absorbs the sweat and doesn’t let it evaporate. It can also irritate your skin and cause chaffing. Ouch.

Baggy trousers
Avoid at all cost as they are a serious health hazard. Your foot can get caught in the leg and cause you to trip. Cue embarrassing walk of shame out the gym door.

Revealing clothes
You may want to show off your slim, toned physique but avoid wearing a top that shows off too much cleavage. You are putting yourself at risk of showing more than you want when you’re running or stretching.

Make-up
Just don’t do it. it is not good for your skin and a patchy orange face is not a very attractive look.

It has been reported that Peaches Geldof had been in initial talks to join Australia’s Next Top Model.

In what was to sadly be her final interview, Peaches alluded to future plans saying: “I can’t say what it is yet, but I’ll be there for three months. Of course the babies will come with me because obviously I wouldn’t leave them for that long.”

We think Peaches would have been a charismatic and bubbly personality to have on Australia’s Next Top Model.

Peaches tragically passed away at her home in Kent on April 7th at the age of 25.

The world can be a hectic place and it’s easy to lose sight of the simple ways we can let go of the stress and make our lives more Zen.

1. Forgive

Forgiveness is a golden life rule. You should forgive others if they’ve hurt you and especially forgive yourself for the mistakes you’ve made. Don’t be so hard on yourself!

2. Accept the things you can’t change

Try to accept the things that are holding you back from moving forward in life. If you really can’t change them, accept them and let them go.

3. Relate to others

It’s so easy to judge others, especially when we are feeling angry or hurt, but if you want to have more peace in life, you should learn to relate to others. Put yourself in their shoes and try not to judge.

4.  Refresh your life

It’s important to refresh your life with new goals, new dreams and new ideas once in a while. Just make sure you don’t set too many goals, as this can be overwhelming and you can’t stick to them all!

5.  Improve your relationships

We should never stop improving relationships with ourselves and other people. Make an effort to keep in touch with friends, tell your family how much they mean to you and respect college friends or colleagues. This will give you a great sense of peace.

Lorde may only be 17 years-old, but that does’t stop magazines from altering her appearance!

According to the singer, Canada’s Fashion magazine may have altered her nose.

Lorde said: “apart from the fact that i’m pretty sure this magazine gave me a new nose (:|), i really like this photo”.

The shot is of course, stunning, and the last thing Lorde needs is an altered nose, especially at 17!

Hopefully it’s just the angle and the magazine did not feel the need to change her nose.

She was everyone’s favourite nanny.

And now, some 20 years after the film became a worldwide hit, a Mrs Doubtfire sequel is said to be on the way.

Robin Williams starred in the original as a divorced dad who disguised himself as the Scottish nanny to take care of his kids

The actor is reportedly ready to step into the role of Mrs Euphegenia Doubtfire again, with Chris Columbus set to direct.

Elf writer David Berenbaum has been tapped to the write the script.

The studio have apparently been trying to get a sequel off the ground since 2001 when Bonnie Hunt was signed up to write a script.

But despite a slew of rewrites, Robin, 62, and Chris, 55, weren’t happy with the story lines – until now!

British designer, Jenny Packham has spoken about what it’s like to dress the Duchess of Cambridge and what influences the royal’s choices.

Packham says she usually finds out that Kate Middleton is wearing one of her famous designs when her Twitter feed goes crazy.

“You kind of always know where it’s going to be worn. Sometimes when we dress celebrities, there are always loads of Twitters and things like that when I wake up. I think, ‘Oh right, she wore it.’”

However, Jenny revealed that she does work directly with Kate on her outfits and said the Duchess has a great sense of style: “It’s always quite a collaboration.”

The Duchess recently wore a Packham dress to a state dinner while on her royal tour in New Zealand. Kate wore a long-sleeved black dress with some leaf detail by the designer.

Jenny says she was delighted to see Kate wear her dress during the New Zealand tour: “I was very excited and it was such a lovely moment to involve in. It was quite surreal, actually.”

Miley Cyrus could be in hospital for several weeks after her health has gone from bad to worse.

The 21-year-old Wrecking Ball star was hospitalised in Missouri on Tuesday after suffering a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics for a sinus infection.

Miley has reportedly been told by doctors that she’ll have to stay in hospital for weeks to come, as her sinus infection continues to get worse.

An allergic reaction can also take up to 27 days to reverse and it is unknown exactly when Miley will be released from hospital.

She has had to cancel three concert dates on her Bangerz Tour this month due to illness and it appears likely she’ll have to strike a few more shows from the schedule.

Now the sun is finally returning, this home made strawberry lemonade recipe will help you and your friends keep cooled down, this warm Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

What you’ll need:

  • 250ml water
  • 250ml lemonade
  • 1l -1500l cold water (ice cold depending on your taste)
  • 250g sugar
  • 500g strawberries

What you’ll need to do:

1. Start to make a syrup by combining the sugar with 250ml of water in a saucepan. Place over medium heat and heat until the sugar is completely dissolved, swirling the pan occasionally. Let it cool.

2. Once the simple syrup has cooled, puree strawberries in a blender with 125ml of cold water.

3. In a large pitcher, combine strawberry puree, simple syrup and lemon juice.

4. Add the rest of the cold water into the mix. The amount of water you use will depend on your taste, so add as little or as much as you want to achieve your perfect sweet or sour balance.

5. Serve over ice. To make it even more perfect you can finish it off with fresh strawberries and lemon slices.

Notes: If you really want to mix it up, you can turn the lemonade into a cocktail by adding 250ml of vodka at step 4. To make the strawberry lemonade even more delicious, use eight freshly squeezed lemons instead of actual lemonade. This only make the drink, even more refreshing.

When you meet that someone special, you naturally want to spend all your time with them. But there is often the danger that your close friends might feel neglected as a result.

Schedule

As ridiculous as it is going to sound, if you want to fit everyone in during the week, you are going to have to organise a schedule. Sometimes it’s a good idea to alternate the weekdays and weekends. You can spend some evenings with friends and then spend some weekends with your boyfriend. But most importantly, make sure your schedule makes you happy.

Group it up

Who said you can’t bring your friends out with your boyfriend? It doesn’t necessarily mean everyone has to get along, but if both your friends and boyfriend finally meet, they might understand why you value your relationships with them. Who knows, they could even become friends as a result.

Be honest

But if you’re struggling to keep everyone happy in this scenario, the best thing that you can do, is be honest. Explain to your boyfriend and your friends, that you are finding it difficult to spend time with everyone, but do value each of your relationships with them. Once they hear this, they will feel reassured and will often find a way to work it out.
