Adam Levine must have plenty of money stashed away from his successful music career – so we imagine that was a big deciding factor when he said yes to being in the indie flick Begin Again for no money at all.

The star admitted that he is very fortunate to be in a position where he can work for free: “I did this movie for no money. I’m very lucky that I’m in that position.

“I want to have good experiences. I don’t want to do a bunch of s**t that I hate. I want to treat [acting] completely differently because I have the very fortunate luxury of not having to think of this in terms of money.”

Well, isn’t it well for some. If you have written Mr. Levine off as being slightly arrogant with all his ‘I don’t need money’ talk, then think again. He’s not arrogant, he’s cocky. He said so himself: “I’m cocky. It’s different. Cocky is playful. I’m confident. Some people don’t like confidence. They resent confidence.

“I’m not the easiest person to love right off the bat, you know. If I knew everyone in the world, they would love me. Every single last f**king one of them.”

Kanye West, eat your heart out.

We knew Channing Tatum was a man’s man but this is a bit much!

The actor’s wife, Jenna Dewan Tatum, has revealed that the Hollywood hottie infected her and their household with poison oak!

The actress told Dujour magazine: “My husband decided to go camping and bring back poison oak – the perks of living with a man who loves to be outdoors! We’re a family of poison oak at the moment – we’ll be really sexy on the red carpet tonight!”

We’re not so sure we would be happy if this happened to us – but at least she had a sense of humour about it!

Poison oak generally causes an itching, red rash – not nice at all.

Although, it’s a small price to pay to get to live with one of the world’s hottest men we guess!

While nothing beats a packet of our own favourite Taytos – we can’t help being partial to the taste of some homemade crisps. And now you can create your own favourite flavoured crisps, thanks to this simple recipe.

What you’ll need:

  • 200g potato
  • ¾ tsp.  salt
  • 150ml malt or cider vinegar

What you’ll need to do:

  1. Preheat your oven to 120°C and line your baking sheets with olive oil (otherwise the crisps may stick to the baking sheets).
  2. Mix the salt with the vinegar until dissolved.
  3. Scrub your potatoes well and leave unpeeled. Then cut as thinly as possible with a sharp knife.
  4. Place the potato slices in a bowl, pour over the liquid and leave to soak for 10 minutes.
  5. After soaking, drain the potato slices well and shake off any excess liquid. Lay the slices in a single layer on your baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, then turn the baking sheets around, swap the shelves that they’re on and bake for another 15 to 30 minutes until crisp. Ovens, potatoes and slicing thicknesses vary, so make sure to check them often.
  7. You can then eat your crisps on their own or if you like can serve with dips.

A story surfaced yesterday about a New Mexico woman called Linda Murphy being jailed after she called her ex 77 639 times, sent him 1937 emails, 41 229 text messages and 647 letters in one week.

Apparently the woman had a history of obsessive compulsive disorder and drank a LOT of energy drinks so that she could stay awake 24/7 to ring her ex.

However, people are starting to question the truth in the story after some pretty smart guys did the math and realised there are only 10,080 minutes in one week. No matter how much caffeine you had in your system it’d be pretty hard to make just over seven phone calls a minute, aswell as sending a bunch of emails, text messages and letters.

The mug shot used in the photo also turned out to be that of Cierra Reed, who was arrested in 2010 after crawling through a McDonald’s drive through window when she was asked to pay. We’re sure she’s delighted with the recent publicity!

It looks like someone was just trying to proliferate the crazy ex-girlfriend stereotype yet again.

We all want to be there for our friends, but there are just some things you don’t say to your friends, especially if they’ve just been dumped. Here is what not to say to someone who’s just been dumped:

You’ll get over it
Harsh. Yes, they will eventually move on, but that’s not what they want to hear so soon after being dumped.

You’re better off without him
Although that might be true, and your only trying to help by saying this – stating this fact will not make their heartache any easier.

But he seemed so nice!
It’s probably best to take your friend’s judgement on her boyfriend, considering she knew him better and spent more time with him.

Maybe he’ll come back to you
Even though this may be a last result to reassure your upset friend, it’s best not to encourage ideas that may not become a reality.

Plenty more fish in the sea!
A cliché and probably one we’re all sick of hearing. Even though a new man might cheer her up initially it might be a good idea for your friend to be on their own for a little while.

Heading to the beach? Don’t forget to pack these much needed beauty essentials to ensure you always look your very best on the sand.

Suncream
The must-have beauty essential doesn’t only protect your skin from burning, it also keeps lines and wrinkles at bay.

Tinted moisturiser
Leave your heavy foundation at home and instead pop a tinted moisturiser into your bag. Try to buy one with an SPF for extra protection.

Waterproof mascara
If you plan on cooling yourself down in the ocean, make sure you have waterproof mascara on. Don’t go for a colour that is too dark either, instead go for a dark brown that looks a little more natural for a beach setting.

Waterproof eyeliner
If you can’t bear to step outside without eyeliner on, make sure you bring a waterproof one to the beach. No one looks good with panda eyes.

Lip balm
The sand and sun can cause your lips to become quite dry so regularly apply a lip balm to keep them smooth. Your lips can also be forgotten about when it comes to suncream so get one with an SPF.

It can’t be easy breaking up with one of the most desirable men in the music industry – so it’s no wonder Laura Whitmore was less than impressed when Paolo Nutini chatted up every woman within a five mile radius at this year’s Glastonbury festival.

A source said that Paolo was seen doing laps of the press tent and headed off with a fistful of phone numbers: “Things looked really awkward between them. And Laura certainly didn’t look impressed when Paolo was going around flirting with every woman in there.

“There was no stopping him – it seemed like he’d been drinking. He left with a pile of phone numbers from all the girls he’d chatted up.”

Yikes, poor Laura. We can’t imagine it’s easy to see your ex doing that!

Zac Efron is on holidays in Italy with some friends at the moment, and we’re jealous. Not JUST because he’s on holidays, but also because of his epic dance moves. We’d forgotten he started out as an all singing, all dancing star of High School Musical!

The star indulged in some table top dancing to Jason Derulo’s ‘Wiggle’ – and boy, can he wiggle!

Check out his moves in the video – we’re hoping they might make some room for him in Magic Mike XXL!

If you read the back of you packet of crackers, you might be horrified to find out that they actually contain a good deal of fat. However, before you banish them from your life completely, read this to find out the difference between good fat, and bad fat.

Good fat
Yes, your crackers have fat in them, but if you look closely, you’ll see that only point something of a gram of this is saturated fat (that’s the bad stuff). The rest is essential for a healthy diet (within reason).

These good fats also go by the name of polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fat – it’s essential for bodily functions but your body can’t produce it itself, so that’s why you need to include it in your diet.

These fats help to build cell membranes, the exterior casing of each cell, and the sheaths surrounding nerves. They’re also vital to blood clotting, muscle contraction and relaxation, and inflammation.

You can find these fats in things like vegetable oils and fatty fish (salmon, mackerel, herring and trout).  You’ll also get what you need from nuts and seeds.

Bad fat
This is the delicious kind of fat, also known as saturated fats and trans fats. It’s found in buns, cakes, butter, cheese, meat, fast food and just about anything that’s really tasty. You should reduce this kind of fat from your diet as much as possible, as it can lead to blockages in your arteries and high blood pressure down the line.

We all love going to water parks to enjoy the fun activities and rides, but this is one slide that’s definitely not for the faint of heart. Without any riders or little cars, just sandbags to sit on, this is the most extreme waterslide we’ve ever seen! Watch the video above and ask yourself; will YOU be giving it a try?
