Well girls, as the weather and the abundance of 'basic' jokes have reminded us, it's officially the season of the pumpkin-spiced latte. Love it or loathe it, there's a lot to be said for the health benefits of the enormous orange fruit.

Here are just a few reasons you should think about including it in your diet:

Skin
Pumpkin is a fantastic source of vitamin A and what's vitamin A good for? Your skin! With the changing weather, our skin can really suffer at this time of year so anything that keeps it in good condition is good with us!

Weight
Pumpkin is full of fibre and fibre-rich food keeps you feeling fuller for longer. If you're currently watching your weight, then be sure to introduce some pumpkin into your diet. At 40 calories a handful, you really can't go wrong.

Mood-booster
Pumpkin seeds can actually boost your mood! The evenings are getting darker, the mornings are getting a little more miserable and that chill in bed at night is definitely not your imagination; it's no wonder that a lot of us need a mood booster around this time of year. Pumpkin seeds are rich in an amino acid called tryptophan, which is important in the production of serotonin. Serotonin levels dictate your mood. Something to think about!

Detoxification
Pumpkin juice is very useful for flushing toxins from the body so it's often recommended as a detoxifying food. Drinking water throughout the day and including pumpkin juice in your diet will increase urine content, thereby helping you to maintain a healthy urinary system.

Immune-booster
If you haven't already caught a cold, then you need to keep it that way! Pumpkins are full of immune-boosting vitamins that will help keep you in tip-top shape this autumn and winter. Incorporate it into your diet to keep sniffles and tissues at bay.

Less carving, more eating!

We've been waiting nearly a month for Natasha Hamilton and Richie Neville to reveal a picture of their new baby girl – and they've finally obliged!

The couple posed with little Ella Rose for a shoot in OK! magazine:

Isn't she a cutie!

The doting parents had kept their new arrival shielded from the media until now, although Natasha did give fans a sneak peek when she posted this adorable picture on Twitter late last week:

The Atomic Kitten singer had a hypno-birth in water, and said the whole experience was extremely emotional. "I pulled her out from under the water and into life. She came out with her hands above her face… We were both in tears," she explained.

Proud dad Richie was also delighted with how things went. "After all the stress, as soon as she arrived it was all very calm. I'd lit candles and was playing music. It was amazing," he said.

Natasha has three sons, Josh, Harry and Alfie, by previous partners, but this is her first child with fellow popstar Richie.

The couple even hinted that wedding bells might be ringing soon – though nothing has been confirmed yet! "She's Ella Rose Neville – and hopefully I'll be a Neville soon, too!" said the singer. Aaaaw!

Remember when America's Sweetheart, Reese Witherspoon, was arrested for a DUI in April 2013 and the world went into meltdown? Remember when she uttered the words “Do you know my name?” and the world cringed? Well, it turns out the stunning 38-year-old actress was cringing along with us.

Speaking about the incident at a press conference for her new movie Wild at the BFI London Film Festival yesterday, the Oscar winner said: “I made a mistake. We all make mistakes. The best you can do is say sorry, learn from it and move on. I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said.”

This isn't the first time Reese has commented on the event, but it seems like she may be dogged with questions about it every time she intends to promote a film for the forseeable future and Reese seems to know exactly why this may be the case. Analysing the interest in the story, she said: “I think it was a moment where people realised that I wasn't exactly what they thought I was. I guess maybe we all like to define people by the way the media presents them, and I think I have showed that I have a complexity that people didn't know about.”

We don't know how much more Reese can say about the incident. Maybe it's time to move on.

With so many new trends emerging in the world of beauty, it's easy to get caught up in the latest ones. We tend to focus primarily on the shade or finish that is hot this season, but we should never neglect primary necessities. Remember; trends come and go, but some beauty regimes will stand to us for life.

Moisturise
Beauty director at Marie Claire, Didi Gluck, tells us to think of our skin like leather. Yeah, gross we know, but doing so will remind you to constantly hydrate the largest organ you have! What does leather look like when left untreated? Yeah, exactly.

Splurge on your hair
You could be wearing last night's top and last weekend's jeans, but if your hair is healthy, glossy and cut well, then you're fit for a runway. We love DIY tips and tricks, but for some things you just need to turn to a professional and hair care is one of them. Establish a good relationship with your stylist, use photos, allow yourself to be guided and communicate, communicate, communicate!

Tools of the job
Put simply, you wouldn't run a fork through your hair to tease tangles, so why do some many of us use the wrong brushes on our face? Using the correct brush in the correct way makes the world of difference. Invest in a tool kit, girls!

The lighter touch
Now that you have the right tools, it's essential you mix them with the right amount of product. Didi reveals that Jemima Kidd revolutionised her beauty regime by advising her to confine foundation to the nose and under eye region. Be brave, and reveal more of your natural skin tone. You may be pleasantly surprised by the result.

Nailed it
If your nails look like they're crying out for some TLC, then you better listen! Hiding stained nails with a few layers of plum varnish isn't going to cut it. Get to the root of the problem. Hydrate and shape your nails at home, but seek professional nail help from time to time to keep hands and feet looking immaculate.

With every new season comes a trend we know we can get on board with and this season is no different. Girls, it's time to rock the midi dress.

The 70's inspired dress is the style of choice for the A/W season and its versatility makes it the perfect choice for our lovely country's changeable weather – what more could you want!

With a hemline that falls between the knee and the ankle, you can opt for the more feminine, floaty style or alternatively, rock a more structured, tailored version. Unlike a lot of dresses which have a very specific space in the wardrobe, the midi can overlap between work events, drinks with friends or a chill-out afternoon.

As always, your choice of footwear can dictate the vibe. Dressing down with ballet pumps will promote a laid back, hippy inspired look, while teaming with a good pair of Autumn boots will channel your inner 70's fashionista.

Similarly, your choice of jacket will play a part in the look you're going for. An edgy leather jacket teamed with a midi dress will have you bang-on-trend, while a mac over a midi will keep you warm and cosy as we head into winter.

Unsure whether the length and style of the midi is for you? Fear not; with the abundance of midi dresses currently on the high street, you are bound to find one to suit your style, figure and budget.

Next, Zara, Topshop, Warehouse and H&M are all carrying affordable designs, which differ hugely in style, colour and fabric; so get out there and find the midi that best suits you. It's a staple for this season's wardrobe, so don't get left behind!

Oh, how we've waited for this moment! Amid rumours and gossip, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have finally addressed the stories regarding an impending change in their family dynamic. So, after six years of marriage, are one of America's cutest couples welcoming a baby into their home? Unfortunately,no.

Giving us a jokey insight into their family planning decisions, the two ladies pretended to decide in front of The Ellen DeGeneres Show audience whether or not to have children.
“We're not gonna have a baby?” Ellen asked.
“No, we're not.” Portia replied.
“Good for me to know now,” the 56-year-old TV host joked.

So, that's that. Now we know. Feeling pressured into explaining their choice in the past, Portia ,41, simply said that she and Ellen decided to remain childless because they didn't feel they wanted children with “their whole hearts”.

Discussing their love for their nieces and nephews, there's no doubt that the multi-talented couple adore kids, but are content as they are. “It's just going to be me and Ellen and no babies- but we're the best of friends and married life is blissful, it really is.”

Speaking on early morning Australian TV show, Sunrise, Miley surprised everyone present by revealing her true feelings about…herself. “Look at me, I'm a walking joke. I am the joke!”

Commenting on her personality and demeanour, she thinks that she might be better suited to stand-up comedy than singing. Hmmm, don't give the critics too much ammunition, Miley!

The 21-year-old singer is currently performing all over Australia as part of her Bangerz tour and while performing a special set outside the Sydney Opera House, Miley sported pieces from her own jewellery collection, a collaboration with fashion designer Jeremy Scott. The multicoloured, beaded pieces may not be to everyone's taste, but they certainly suit Miley's infamous stage wardrobe.

Discussing her transition from child star to fully-fledged popstar, she revealed her secret to staying sane in such a hectic setting. “I just kind of grew up in this world, so fame and money, I kind of know what they give you, which isn't alot. I just decided, about a year ago, that my whole life goal was just to be happy all the time.”

With so many young stars struggling with the pressures of fame, we're glad Miley has such a positive outlook.

We’re not going to lie here – we are beyond excited for this musical collaboration.

It’s being reported today that singer Iggy Azalea is teaming up with the one and only Britney Spears on a new record.

Yes please!

The legendary Britney is heading back into the studio to start recording some new material and is planning some supposedly epic collaborations, starting with the fabulous Iggy.

No doubt artists will be queuing up to work with the Toxic singer, so we are pretty darn excited by this piece of news.

According to reports, the 32-year-old is planning on making her new album “a huge event” and is promising a “star-studded” record to wow her legion of fans.

We might have a little while to wait before being graced with Britney’s album, however. The singer is currently in the middle of her live show, ‘Britney: Piece of Me’, in Las Vegas, and will be taken up with the project until the end of February 2015.

If her past collaborations are anything to go by (we’re thinking Me Against the Music with Madonna – wow) then Britney fans are in for a real treat.

Can you tell that we’re a tad hyped?

Ah, the rom-com. Is there a more perfect genre of film? Probably, but none that we care to know about.

Any movie fan will knows the Nineties was the absolute golden age of romantic comedies. Nora Ephron’s scripts, Meg Ryan’s pre-Botox cuteness and Hugh Grant’s floppy English hair. All the ingredients for a great decade of films.

Here are just five of our faves…

1. Sleepless in Seattle (1993)
This was Meg Ryan’s second Nora Ephron film after When Harry Met Sally (just one year too early in 1989!) and it’s one we come back to time and time again. If that Empire State Building scene doesn’t have you tearing up, then you simply can’t call yourself a rom-com fan.

2. Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)
As the name suggests, there’s a whole heap of love stories in this film – and one heart-wrenching funeral scene too. Have the Kleenex ready.

3. You’ve Got Mail (1998)
Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks reunited for this iconic movie, loosely based on the 1940 film The Shop Around the Corner. Watching it back now, the dial-up internet and chat rooms are adorably outdated, but any Tinder user can identify with the thrill of meeting someone new online!

4. 10 Things I Hate About You (1999)
The late Heath Ledger is a total heartthrob in this film, long before his terrifying days as The Joker. We still smile every time we hear Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.

5. Notting Hill (1999)
We can’t decide if this or Four Weddings is our favourite Hugh Grant flick. He gets extra bonus points for this scene…

Facing your ex is always an awkward situation, so we can’t imagine how we’d react if the whole world was watching.

Apparently, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult aren’t too thrilled at the prospect, either.

The actors, who dated on and off for three years after meeting on the set of their first X-Men movie, and are set to reprise their roles as lovers Mystique and Beast in the next instalment.

According to reports today however, as production for X-Men: Apocalypse looms, Jennifer is said to be growing increasingly nervous about their love scenes together.

A source told Heat magazine: “It’s come at a difficult time and [Jennifer’s] worried she may get confused if she starts talking to Nick again.”

And we can see why. They couple first got together on the set of X-Men: First Class, later splitting, but deciding to give their relationship another go after reuniting to film sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past.

To make matters worse, the next movie is set to give a lot of focus to the relationship between Nick and Jen’s characters.

Sounds like a recipe for major awkwardness.

While nothing is ever easy where matters of the heart are concerned, Jennifer and Nicholas are total professionals, so we have no doubt that they’ll do a top job with the next movie.
