If you're trying to have a baby, or thinking about starting a family in a few years, you may want to start taking notes.

According to new research, your man should be chowing down on nuts (sorry boys) as they increase his sperm count.

Researchers took 119 healthy males between the age of 18 and 35 and gave one group a portion of nuts whilst the other continued to eat as normal.

They found a 16 percent increase in sperm count from those who had the nuts.

Their sperm vitality also rose by 4 percent, sperm motility by 6 percent and sperm morphology by 1 percent.

The study was run in the Human Nutrition Unit of the Rovira i Virgili University in Spain, by lead author Dr Albert Salas-Huetos.

Dr Albert says they embarked on the study in response to "pollution, smoking, and trends toward a western-style diet," which is impacting the quality and quantity of human sperm.

The results also concluded that those who ate nuts had a “significant” fall in sperm DNA fragmentation, which is crucial for successful fertilisation and normal embryo development.

Before you run out and stock up on the nuts and force-feed them to your partner, the author said more investigations need to take place before they can solidly conclude the benefits of the nuts when baby-making.

“We can't yet say that based solely on the results of this study,” says Salas-Huetos.

During the 14-week study the men ate 60 grams of mixed almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts.

Dr Albert did say that if you want to try for a baby, evidence points to a healthy diet aiding your chances of conception.

“But evidence is accumulating in the literature that healthy lifestyle changes such as following a healthy dietary pattern might help conception – and of course, nuts are a key component of a Mediterranean healthy diet," he said.

It's never too early to get his swimmers fighting fit!

Ever sit down to your morning fry and think "God, I wish there was Viagra in my sausages?"

Well, now there can be!

Save Our Sausages (or SOS) is a new campaign by the founder of Fathers4Justice, Matt O’Connor, and – in a bid to improve the state of male mental health – Matt has helped develop a brand of totally edible pork sausages which contain natural Viagra.

According to The Metro, these culinary delights are infused with L’Arginine, Horny Goat Week, Red Chinese and Siberian Ginseng, all of which assist those with erectile dysfunction.

Matt – who worked on the sausages with The Butchery – believes the product will help get British men talking about the hugely prevalent issues of depression, suicide and low testosterone.

He says the new series of Cold Feet made him realise that humour is a great way to prompt discussions among men about difficult topics and so he thought the sausages would “help break the wall of silence”.

Fair play!

Liam Hemsworth really loved his former fiancée, Miley Cyrus.

It's been two years since The Hunger Games actor and Miley mutually called off their engagement, but Liam promises he has no ill-feelings for the pop star.

"You fall in love with who you fall in love with; you can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage," Liam told Men's Fitness.

"I mean, look—we were together five years, so I don't think those feelings will ever change. And that's good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn't just a fling."

Miley and Liam met as co-stars on the set of The Last Song, which was released in 2010. But even after their relationship came to a dramatic end, Liam regards it as an important time in his life.

"It really was an important part of my life and always will be. She's a free spirit. I think she'll always surprise people with what she does, but she's not a malicious person in any way. She's a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do."

Ms Cyrus went on to date Patrick Schwarzenegger for a brief few months, and even though Liam was linked to Eiza Gonzalez for a while, he has been mostly single since calling off his engagement with Miley. In fact, he told Men's Health that he finds it really difficult to date.

"I'm constantly travelling, and I don't go out to clubs or anything like that. I have a great small group of friends in my life, but I barely ever meet anyone new."

"It's tough to have a relationship in this industry, though not to the point where it makes me depressed. I'm constantly working, and I love working.

"I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything at this point—I feel like I'm focusing on the right things and prioritising things in the right way, and I'm a healthy, happy person."

In his latest interview, 39-year old Colin Farrelll has opened up about the very unusual method he employed in order to quit smoking for good.

Speaking with Men’s Health, the True Detective actor revealed that cutting out the habit required him to put pen to paper and get the creative juices flowing.

Colin says her ended up writing a break-up letter to the ‘Spirit of Tobacco’.

“I wrote a breakup letter to the Spirit of Tobacco. I got a frying pan and tossed the letter with a load of tobacco, put some paraffin over it, and lit a match that sent a big, wallowing cloud up into the sky.”

The father of two sons, James, 11, and Henry, 5, says that it seemed to do the trick because after he “didn’t have a cigarette for another two years.”

Well, whatever works for you…

We would really appreciate if we had gotten a peek at the literary work before it all went up in flames though. Can you imagine how that would have panned out? The old reliable ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ line probably took an interesting turn.

Colin also discussed how in recent years his dating life has taken a back seat in favour of his career and raising his sons.

After being single for five years he admits that “It’s not that I don’t get lonely sometimes, but I’m okay about it.”

He added that his public life is not what matters the most to him, rather what he values most is his family:

"When you get home, the only thing that matters is your son is not eating his turkey sandwiches and he's not into avocado anymore, so you have to find something new that he'll eat for lunch."

Kellan Lutz has been chatting to Men’s Health about how he got in shape to play Hercules in the upcoming film of the same name.

Using his spare time while filming Twilight to visit the gym and having a dietician when filming Immortals seems to have done the trick for him. He said: “Every hour they’d hand you eight almonds or a plate of spinach”.

Kellan also revealed his secret to staying on track when eating out: “Just ask if they have salmon and avocado and if they would mind throwing together a salad for you. It’s being deliberately ignorant but it works”.

Well Kellan, all we have to say is, whatever you’re doing, never stop. Ever.
