First off, no this article isn't from 1996 – The Backstreet Boys were set to play a gig last night.

Unforch, severe weather conditions caused a structure to collapse, injuring fourteen concert-goers.

Luckily, the fans were treated by emergency personnel and then taken to local hospitals.

According to Billboard, group member Kevin Richardson revealed in a tweet what had happened as that the band were set to perform at the outdoor pavilion at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville.

"Hey folks! Severe weather, high winds and rain just passed thru here in Thackerville, OK. Emergency crews are on the scene as tent collapsed and some folks who were seeking shelter were injured. Waiting to determine damage to our stage and production," he wrote.

Fellow band member Nick Carter also tweeted, ''waiting and praying for our fans that were injured. If we can perform we're ready to go. But safety is first."

According to KOCO-TV, the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. local time and people were evacuated due to an oncoming storm.

However, the fan injuries occurred when "something happened inside" the pavilion.

WinStar said in a statement released to ET that, ''all patrons in the area were asked to move and to seek shelter from the storm. However, about 150 patrons who were standing in line for the Backstreet Boys concert did not heed staff's warning … the storm hit and knocked over the concert entrance trusses with 70-80 mile an hour winds and heavy rain. 14 people were treated at the scene and then transported to local hospitals. Two have already been released."

Dallas reporter Allison Harris of Dallas shared a video tweeted to her from someone at the concert from "right after it fell. Several people hurt including a young girl. Several fans spring to action including former army nurse who’s husband was hurt."

She also tweeted, "friend at the Backstreet Boys concert at Winstar Casino says an awning fell on people. She estimates 10 ambulances responded, paramedics took people out on stretchers."

Kevin later confirmed that the show would not be going ahead but he promised, ''keep your tickets because, Backstreet WILL BE BACK!''

Backstreet will be back, alright?

Taking an embarrassing tumble ius all part and parcel of life – but have you ever done something extremely stupid and ended up accidentally injuring yourself?

A Twitter thread is currently going viral, in which people share the most idiotic injuries they have ever sustained.

Created by writer and editor Elanor Penny, it's been keeping us amused all morning.

We are absolutely HOWLING:

The production crew working on The Rhythm Section have been told to find other work as lead actress Blake Lively undergoes surgery in her hand.

The star sustained an injury while doing a stunt on the Dublin set last December.

Production temporarily came to halt to allow the actress time to heal, but it has now emerged that the initial surgery did not go as planned.

The producers on Monday confirmed the shutdown in a statement: "Hiatus on the production of The Rhythm Section has been extended due to the hand injury Blake Lively sustained while filming an action sequence on the action thriller at the end of last year."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, just under half of the feature has been shot, and it is unclear at this time when filming will resume.

One source told the publication that it could be five months before the production gets back on track.

The Rhythm Section is an adaptation of the first of Mark Burnell’s Stephanie Patrick novels, which follows the story a woman who is desperately trying uncover the truth behind a plane crash that killed her family.

Paramount, which is handling worldwide distribution, has dated the film for a February 22, 2019, release. However, given the latest push-back, this date is likely to change.

According to emerging reports, production on Blake Lively's latest film, The Rhythm Section, has been temporarily halted after the actress sustained an injury on the Dublin set.

Confirming the reports, director Reed Moran who also directed The Handmaid's Tale, explained that the actress was injured while filming an action scene.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she said: "Paramount, Global Road (formerly known as IM Global) and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli today confirmed that filming has been temporarily suspended on The Rhythm Section as Blake Lively sustained an injury to her hand while filming an action sequence."

It is understood that the 30-year-old, who shares two children with husband Ryan Reynolds, has since left Dublin for New York following the incident.

Production on the film, which is an adaptation of Mark Burnell's novel, will resume as soon as possible,

The Rhythm Section is scheduled to be released cinemas in February 2019.

Ed Sheeran has been forced to cancel a string of Asian tour dates after he sustained injuries to his arm in a bike accident in London earlier this week.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Ed revealed to fans that he'd “had a bit of a bicycle accident,” and was waiting on medical advice.

He warned that the injury may affect some of his upcoming shows, though fans remained hopeful.

It has now been confirmed that some dates on the Asian leg of his Divide tour will no longer go ahead as scheduled.

Last night, the Galway Girl singer shared a photo showing his arm in a cast, revealing that the extent of his injuries had left him unable to perform live.

The caption read: “A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future. Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong.”

It is not yet known whether more dates will be cancelled as a result, though as it stands, he is not due to perform again until March 2, 2018.

“I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details. PS – Ed isn’t typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged.”

We're wishing Ed a speedy recovery and thanking our lucky stars that this didn't happen before his Irish tour.

Laura and her partner Giovanni Pernice were all set to dance the jive, but due to an injury sustained earlier in the week, she was advised by the medical team to rest.

Geordie Shore’s Gary Beadle has been hospitalised after a night out in Loughborough.

The popular reality star sparked concern among fans last night when he posted a series of Snapchats from Leicester’s Royal Infirmary after injuring his knee while making a nightclub appearance.

The 28-year-old shared a picture of two ambulances with the caption “Not how you want your night to end” before uploading a video of himself being pushed around A&E in a wheelchair.

Spin 1038 DJ, Daniella Moyles, picked up a new friend to bring to the office today – which we assume isn't a regular occurrence.

She was on her way to work when she spotted a hobbling injured baby seagull on the side of the road. Nooooo!

She stopped to help the little guy and somehow got him into a cardboard box and into the safety of her car.

Daniella tried getting in touch with as many vets as she could in the city, but given that it was so early, most of them were all still closed.

Thankfully, someone listening in to the breakfast show texted the guys with the name of a vet that specialised in birds and would be able to help them.

The well-known Spinis transported the bird out to the veterinary clinic in Raheny in Dublin and Hoppy finally got the help she (or he, we're still not sure) needed.

The little bird has been given painkillers (phew) and it turns out she just has a small fracture but that should be OK soon.

Hurrah! And congratulations to Ms Moyles on her good deed for the day.
