The entertainment industry was left reeling last year when news broke that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were calling time on their two-year marriage.

The couple, who began dating in 2005 and share six children together, were at the centre of a media storm last September as the press and public clamoured for more details on the abrupt split.

And while Angelina maintained a dignified silence in the face of media intrusion, it seems the Oscar-winner has decided she is now comfortable to open up about her split from one of Hollywood's best-known stars.

Speaking to the BBC, the actress insisted that the decision was made to best suit the wellbeing of the entire family.

"It was a very difficult time and we’re a family. And we will always be a family. And we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it," she stressed.

"Many, many people find themselves in this situation. My whole family – we’ve all being through a difficult time."

41-year-old Angelina revealed that caring for her children helped her to navigate the aftermath of the very public divorce.

"My focus is my children, our children, and my focus is finding this way through and as I said we are and forever will be a family and so that is my, that is how I am coping."

“I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer," she added.

Angelina received sole custody of the couple's children at the end of last year.

It's been a long time since this lad graced our shores.

We love everything from The Office, to The Ricky Gervais Show, but one thing we missed over the past few years was Ricky Gervais' stand-up.

But the comedy superstar is on his way back and will be in Dublin during our summer months.

Taking to the 3Arena stage on June 24, Ricky will perform his Humanity stand-up gig, which is said to be the angriest and most honest yet.

If you fancy heading along, tickets go on sale next Friday, February 24, at 10am on Ticketmaster.

See you there!

Since her stint on Celebrity Masterchef didn't last too long, Holly Carpenter has turned her head to a more glamorous endeavour… jewellery.

Yep, the Dublin native is set to launch her own jewellery line and has teamed up with designer Nicola Shields to create the collection.

A post shared by Holly Carpenter (@hollycarpenter) on

Nicola was previously the businesswoman and brains behind Pulse Accessories, and according to the Irish Mail on Sunday, Holly is "flat out" working with her.

A source told the publication: "Holly knows she is not a food blogger and she always wanted to find her niche. And she has, she loves art and creating and obviously she loves fashion and accessorising. So it's the perfect match."

We can't wait to see what Holly and Nicola come out with.

The Fupin Eejits have delighted us all with their weird and whacky Irish videos.

Honing in on their happy-go-lucky personalities, Stevie Cahill, Eddie Whelan and Senan Byrne, have gone viral all around the world with their Facebook and YouTube skits, which always look like great craic.

But, the lads have tackled a much more serious issue in their latest video, and we think it spreads the message brilliantly.

"Mental health matters."

What you might not know about these guys, is that they all work together as mental health nurses in Kilkenny, and worked on this video together to raise awareness for issues that still have stigma in the media.

Speaking to the DailyEdge, the group said: "We all work together in Kilkenny/Carlow/South Tipperary services and we are all based in the Department of Psychiatry, Kilkenny.

"We have never covered mental health from a promotion point before and for obvious reasons, have never done a comedy sketch on it either.

"We have seen celebrities and other people in the media speaking out on mainly depression and anxiety. This is more than inspiring, but there is over 200 other mental health disorders, and most of these are rarely spoken about due to stigma, lack of education, etc.

"We would like to break the barriers of stigma in this country. We get so many messages from people who have mental health difficulties, and a small amount of comedy really seems to be beneficial to so many."

We hope this video spreads like wildfire throughout Ireland, and indeed, the world.

Sunday Brunch viewers were sickened this morning after a guest proceeded to rub raw chicken… and then lick his fingers.

English cricket captain David Gower appeared on the show this morning and throughout the hour-long stint, helped chef Simon Rimmer prepare a beetroot chicken, potato and mustard salad.

We'll say that David got caught up in the cooking moment, as he thoroughly rubbed the chicken with marinade… but, when he was finished, he put his hands straight up to his mouth and licked them.

BRB, just gagging.

After he happily licked both hands, he looked to the side, presumably for a tissue, but the damage was already done.

Many took to Twitter to voice their disgust, while others actually warned him about food safety.

Let's hope his stomach isn't dodge after that encounter.

It looks like Pippa O'Connor and Brian Ormond will be the next duo to grace our TV screens.

According to the Irish Mail, the married couple are in talks with TV3 to nab their very own show.

The pair apparently proved their worth a few months ago when they presented The Seven O'Clock Show together, and have now been in with the network to discuss a deal.

An inside source claims that Pippa and Brian have been in studio many times over the past few months, and their last screen test was just before Christmas.

"Brian and Pippa have been in with TV3 quite a few times. They have done a few screen tests together," they said.

With Brian having a heap of experience presenting, Pippa previously said working with her hubby was "great craic," so hopefully this will be an exciting time for them both.

Way to shake up the alien conspiracy theorists, NASA.

UFO conspirators went into a frenzy this weekend after a video emerged online showing alleged aliens flying past the NASA International Space Station.

The 31-second clip shows six unidentified flying objects making their way past the space camera, until it cuts to black.

According to the Daily Mail, the UFOs were spotted by Youtuber Streetcap1, who then posted the video online.

It was later shared with a conspiracy website called SecureTeam.

A user named Tyler, said on the website that the objects were "fairly large" and were too big to be random floating particles roaming through space.

He said the objects were "much larger than NASA's typical excuse of ice particles… we must be looking at ice bergs," he joked.

The UFO-enthusiast then explained that NASA suspiciously cut the live feed to black before it was replaced with a camera from the inside of the space station's briefing room.

Last month, another man claimed to have seen a UFO on the same live feed.

He told The Mirror: "I've been watching it [the live feed] for years but never seen any UFOs on it before.

"I was showing a friend how it worked at around 11.30pm when the feed cut out, and 35 seconds after it came back on, this object appeared.

"At first it was really small and then it grew bigger, lasting for about 25 seconds."

Forget about zombies, we could be facing an alien invasion next, lads.

Dee Devlin has sporadically shared photos of her pregnancy over the past few months, but she is absolutely glowing in her latest snap.

The mum-to-be took to Instagram to share a selfie of her cradling her growing baby bump, and captioned it with a simple smile emoji.

A post shared by Dee Devlin (@deedevlin1) on

The 28-year-old showed off her maternity style in the snap too, wearing a black, floral mini-dress with over-the-knee boots and had her hair flowing long behind her back.

Dee is set to welcome her first child with UFC two-time champion Conor McGregor in May, so we'd say excitement is building for the due date at the moment.

Fans gushed in the comments section of Dee's photo, including Conor's sister Erin, who wrote: "You look fab babe."

Earlier this week, Conor told GQ that he's going to be fairly protective of his son when he's out in public.

"I'm not trying to bring a kid into that. If someone comes near me when I have my kid in my hands, like the way they come near me now, looking for pictures, someone’s gonna be badly hurt," he said.

We've been warned.

We were sad to hear that as a new series of Gogglebox begins filming, one family that won't be sitting on the couch is the Moffatts.

The producers of the show are giving the excuse that Scarlett is too well-known now and it would effect how people see her parents.

The brunette beauty originally took time off the show to film I'm A Celeb last year, and it was thought she'd eventually make her way back to the TV-watching series.

A spokesperson for Channel 4 told The Sun: The Moffatt family will not be appearing in this series.” While an insider told Sunday People: “The whole premise of Gogglebox is normal people commenting on the TV.

“Scarlett is now a celebrity in her own right, so it made sense she wouldn’t continue.”

We're sure going to miss their banter on the show.

The term "breaking the internet" gets thrown around a lot these days, but when a new secret menu Starbucks drink is revealed, social media literally goes crazy.

We joined in on the excitement when we had a little look at the latest offering from the mysterious menu.

A brand new, colourful iced beverage has just landed on Instagram, and we foresee queues out the door for this one.

The Pink Drink was the way to go for summer 2016, but now the refreshing strawberry and acai blend is getting a 2017 update.

Introducing the Matcha Pink Drink, the perfectly ombre, two toned iced blend that is on a mission to steal our unicorn-loving hearts.

The drink was first revealed on Friday, when Instagram user @dailyfoodfeed shared a photo clutching the beverage.

A post shared by Christy Fang (@itscfang) on

The rainbow drink is made up of three parts traditional Pink Drink (Strawberry Acai Refresher with coconut milk) layered on top of part matcha coconut milk on the rocks, according to @dailyfoodfeed.

We can see major potential for this beverage, what if we went for two parts pink drink, one part matcha and one part blue drink?

The unicorn-hued potentials are endless.

There is literally nothing better than tucking into some take-out, but the guilt of over-indulging can sometimes (rarely) hold us back.

If there was a way to get our fast food fix without the potential penitence, we'd be all over it, and luckily one such cuisine concept has popped up in Dublin City.

Jackrabbit is the seriously cool new street food pop-up being hosted by Cocu on Chatham Street.

Jackrabbit was conceived as a way of bringing chef, Ian Marconi’s, cooking style, which features a medley of big flavours & seasonal ingredients, which are treated in non traditional ways, and applying them to fast food and street food favourites.

He wanted to offer items which are both very familiar to a fast food-loving palette while being completely unique.

Think green chilli and vintage cheddar fries over basic curry cheese chips.

“I like the idea of fast food made completely from scratch using ingredients found in high end restaurants," says Ian.

"My ‘fast food’ is full of fresh, natural ingredients to offset any indulgence.” We like the sound of that.

The self described "healthy street food specialists" will be serving their deliciously indulgent wares in Cocu  from Thursday, February 23, and into the foreseeable future.
