Actress and singer Delta Goodrem had a scary moment on the set of The Voice Australia recently when she collapsed during filming.

The star was in the middle of offering feedback to a female singer in front of a 200-strong studio audience when she fell ill and had to be treated by paramedics.

Delta reportedly stopped talking and told her co-judges to give her a minute before rushing backstage.

Shortly afterwards, a producer appeared on stage to tell the audience that Delta was "not feeling very well" and had complained of "pressure" on her chest, according to Australian magazine Women's Day.

Despite the scare, Delta returned to filming just ten minutes later and even made light of the situation by telling a contestant, "You were so good I just had to pass out."

Too early to joke, maybe?!

A spokesperson for the singer later said the incident had been brought on by high temperatures in the studio combined with Delta's tiredness from her hectic schedule. Delta, who was in a relationship with Westlife's Bryan McFadden for seven years between 2004 and 2011, is currently working on her fifth studio album as well as appearing on The Voice.

This isn't the first time there have been concerns for the star's health – she underwent chemotherapy back in 2003 to treat a type of cancer known as Hodgkin's Lymphoma, but luckily she has been in remission for the last ten years.

We hope Delta has a good support network and is being well looked after – it certainly sounds like she got a fright this week.

Irish men are some of the funniest and sweetest men around, but unfortunately they are also very commonly afflicted with a syndrome known as Mammy's Boy-ism.

Do they know how to work the washing machine? Yes… probably… but they've never really had to use it. Can they iron? Again… maybe… but they've never really had to. And the list goes on.

It's not that mammy's boys are lazy, it's just that they've never really had to look after themselves. Ever. Until now.

Here are a few key signs that he's well and truly grown up as a kept man…

1. The fact that laundry piles up and up seriously confuses him
"Will I just buy new underwear? I've none left for some reason."

2. He loves having dinner cooked for him
You better make enough for seconds and thirds, too

3. He'll still always compare your food to his mam's though
"Oh, what's this? A slow-cooked Moroccan lamb casserole? So it's basically stew, is it?"

4. When he cooks for himself, it's generally one of three dishes
Shepherd's Pie, Spag Bol, frozen pizza.

5. You wouldn't DARE diss his mam. Ever.
Not that you'd even dream of saying a bad word about her…

6. Even when she shows up unannounced, you still can't diss her
"Oh, great to see you Mrs. McCarthy, excuse me while I change out of my PJs and wipe this Nutella off my face."

7. Whatever happens though, he still treats you like a princess
He's been taught well, y'see.

Last week and this week mark Seachtain na Gaeilge, when Gaeilgeoirs and non Irish speakers alike celebrate just how unique our native language is.

Even if you haven't said more than half a sentence as Gaeilge since your Leaving Cert Oral exam, we bet you still use the cúpla focail here and there without even noticing.

Here are just a few Irish words and turns of phrase we all rely on in everyday life!

Grá
Meaning: Love
How we use it in English: To show you've a real soft spot for something.
Example: "Ah, Siobháin has a bit of a grá for Justin Bieber but she'd NEVER admit it."

Flaithiúlach
Meaning: Lavish, generous
How we use it: As the extreme opposite of tight, someone who loves flashing the cash.
Example: "I'd always be a bit flaithiúlach getting the rounds in on a work night out, I'd hate them to think I was stingy."

Plámás
Meaning: The act of flattery or cajoling
How we use it: To describe someone who's being, well, a bit of a lick-arse.
Example: "He's always plámás-ing the boss lately, must be after a promotion."

Sin é
Meaning: That's it
How we use it: When something's over and done with.
Example: "Well sin é lads, they're calling last rounds."

Craic
Meaning: Great fun
How we use it: When something or someone is a good laugh.
Example: "Sarah was GAS craic altogether last night, who knew she was so bad at karaoke?"

Lean ar aghaidh
Meaning: To continue, to proceed
How we use it: To tell people to get a move on
Example: "Nothing to see here, just snotted myself on the ice, lean ar aghaidh."

Ciúnas
Meaning: Calmness, stillness, silence
How we use it: As a throwback from our primary school days when we want someone to shut up.
Example: "Ciúnas, he's coming, he'll know we were talking about him."

Turns out even Emma Watson finds the world of dating hard to navigate.

The actress took part in a life #HeForShe webcast yesterday, International Women's Day, as part of her work with the UN's gender equality campaign.

She admitted that she has struggled to make all elements of her own personal life more equal, and opened up about an "awkward" date where she tried to even out the gender imbalance by picking the restaurant herself and paying for the meal.

"It was really awkward and uncomfortable. It was not going down well. I'm sure he would say he was a feminist but he was just like, 'ooh, I'm not really sure about this', it was making him feel a bit tetchy," she said.

However the actress said it wasn't all bad, as the bumpy start meant she was able to chat to her date about some issues that meant a lot to her. "The cool thing about it was that we were both willing to have the conversation about why it was awkward, why it was uncomfortable. We were able to have this dialogue."

Emma said she loves being treated on a date but that she wanted to give something new a try. "I love having the door opened for me. I love being taken to dinner, it's so great. I think the key is: would you then mind if I opened the door for you?"  she explained.

Good woman Emma – we love that attitude!

For such a nice guy, Ed Sheeran gets a seriously bad time of it!

The singer shared an image of one of his many pieces of fan mail on Instagram today, and now we just want to give the poor fella a hug.

The letter, which Ed received from a Korean fan, went as follows:

"To Ed Sheeran (my great singer)
I hope you love the shirt.
You are little ugly but I love you!
Please wear this shirt and get some 2015 concert tour!
From Lee Jaung In (your fan)"

A photo posted by @teddysphotos on

Now, we're sure something got a little lost in translation there, but was there really any need to use the word "ugly"?!

The singer shared the photo with the caption "God Bless Korea," so luckily he didn't seem too put out, and his fans were quick to reassure him a little bit, with one writing, "He's so perfect ! What is wrong with that person!" and another saying "thats sweet but not really…. Wtfudge?!"

Well, we hope the shirt was nice at least… and that the singer is following his own advice today:

Wise words!

If you're a Parks and Rec fan (or an SNL fan… or a Mean Girls fan…), prepare to get VERY excited.

The comedy legend that is Amy Poehler will be gracing Irish shores with her presence this Friday, to visit Trinity College's Philosophical Society.

Amy's event is technically open to the public, but all attendees must have a Philosophical Society member's card, meaning you must be a past or present Trinity student.

As for the rest of us, it's looking VERY likely that the actress will also be appearing on Friday's night's Late Late Show, so prepare for an epic night in with the TV!

How amazing is this?

Yup, you got it in a nutshell there Amy.

Meet grandparents Brighid and Paddy from Dundalk – a Roman Catholic couple who have been married for 50 years.

They are one of thousands taking part in the #VoteWithUs campaign, which encourages Irish citizens to share videos explaining why they'll be voting Yes in the Marriage Equality referendum in the Republic of Ireland on May 22nd of this year.

Speaking about their choice to vote Yes, Brighid says, "We wish other couples, gay or straight, could avail of civil marriage and experience the love, protection and companionship that we have experienced."

We challenge you not to get choked up watching this.

Trouble in paradise?

One Direction star Zayn Malik has been engaged to Perrie Edwards since August 2013, and although the couple have always said their wedding will be a long way off, recent events suggest it might not happen at all.

Little Mix singer Perrie was spotted out and about in London yesterday with her ring finger looking unusually bare, for the second time in three days.

Perrie has rarely been spotted without the diamond-laden sparkler since getting engaged, making her choice to leave home without it all the more worrying.

The blonde singer attempted to hide her hand from photographers as she walked to her car in London yesterday. A spokesperson for Perrie says she is simply having the ring cleaned, but it's unclear whether this is true.

Zayn is currently on a break from One Direction's world tour but has remained quiet on social media and has not been spotted in public with Perrie of late.

Before Christmas, Perrie spoke to reporters at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards about the couple's plans for a long engagement, saying they were in no hurry to get married. "I don’t want to rush it – I want to take my time and make sure it’s perfect," she said. "We need time.”

We hope the pair can get their plans back on track soon!

Kim Kardashian has changed things up yet again!

The reality star sent Twitter into meltdown last Thursday when she appeared at the Balmain show at Paris Fashion Week with brand new bleached platinum locks – but she hasn't stopped there.

Less than a week later, Kim has gone for yet another new look, further lightening her blonde hair to an almost white shade:

The mum-of-one was pictured leaving the L'Atelier salon in Paris with her new peroxide-heavy 'do, which reportedly took over three hours to perfect.

Kim later shared some pictures last night from the Louis Vuitton Foundation Gallery, where Kanye has been performing exclusive concerts over the last three nights. The 34-year-old posted a picture of herself watching Kanye on stage, captioning it "Watching Bae perform tonight at The Louis Vuitton Foundation/ Frank Gehry Museum."

Just another chance for her to showcase her new hairstyle, by the looks of it!

A new study has revealed one of the biggest health risks to adults today, and it's not drinking, smoking or even using a mobile phone.

Nope, it's… sitting.

Apparently an adult's risk of heart disease increases by 14% for every hour spent sitting during an average day.

Researchers from the Medical College of Wisconsin studied 2,031 adults, tracking their daily activity and taking regular blood samples. All of the adults spent between two and 12 hours per day sitting down, either at work or in front of the television.

The longer spent sitting down each day, the higher the levels of deposits in blood vessels that act as a telltale sign of heart disease.

Even regular gym or aerobic sessions did nothing to counteract the risk, as any increase in fitness was cancelled out by the many hours lacking in physical activity.

So if your job requires you to sit down all day (as many do), how can you help your body to lessen the risks?

"It’s clear that exercise is important to reduce your cardiovascular risk and improve your fitness level," said the study's lead researcher  Dr Jacquelyn Kulkinski.

“The lesson here is that it’s really important to try and move as much as possible in your daily life, for example, take a walk during lunch, pace while talking on the phone, take the stairs instead of the elevator and use a pedometer to track your daily steps… And if you have a sedentary job, don’t go home at night and sit in front of the TV for hours on end.”

Excuse us while we pop out for a quick stroll…

There are fans and then there are Kanye- fans, and this weekend we all learned the difference.

Supporters of Kim K's rap-star husband have actually managed to put Directioners to shame with their devotion to their music idol and how are they doing this?

Well, prepare yourselves, ladies.

Die-hard Yeezy fans began outbidding each other on eBay for plastic bags of air captured during Kanye concerts.

That's right, plastic bags of air.

And how much do you think these little treasures are going for? Ten dollars? Twenty? Nah, not even close.

One of these bags of air reached a staggering $60,000 on the popular auction website. We need to sit down.

Proud wife Kim Kardashian took to Twitter to comment on the public's devotion to the Stronger singer, tweeting: "WOW he can sell anything! Lol."

Indeed.
