Actress and singer Delta Goodrem had a scary moment on the set of The Voice Australia recently when she collapsed during filming.

The star was in the middle of offering feedback to a female singer in front of a 200-strong studio audience when she fell ill and had to be treated by paramedics.

Delta reportedly stopped talking and told her co-judges to give her a minute before rushing backstage.

Shortly afterwards, a producer appeared on stage to tell the audience that Delta was "not feeling very well" and had complained of "pressure" on her chest, according to Australian magazine Women's Day.

Despite the scare, Delta returned to filming just ten minutes later and even made light of the situation by telling a contestant, "You were so good I just had to pass out."

Too early to joke, maybe?!

A spokesperson for the singer later said the incident had been brought on by high temperatures in the studio combined with Delta's tiredness from her hectic schedule. Delta, who was in a relationship with Westlife's Bryan McFadden for seven years between 2004 and 2011, is currently working on her fifth studio album as well as appearing on The Voice.

This isn't the first time there have been concerns for the star's health – she underwent chemotherapy back in 2003 to treat a type of cancer known as Hodgkin's Lymphoma, but luckily she has been in remission for the last ten years.

We hope Delta has a good support network and is being well looked after – it certainly sounds like she got a fright this week.
