The Catholic Grandparents Association are on the hunt for Ireland’s longest married couple.

The group are based in Westport, Co. Mayo and, like the rest of us, they are looking for the answer to the eternal question: what is the secret to a happy, long-lasting marriage?

If you know someone who might have the answer (they don’t have to be your grandparents), and have been married for ideally 65 years or more, you can let the organisation know by emailing: catholicgrandparents@gmail.com.

We are big fans of a good love-story here in SHEmazing! so we'll definitely be keeping an ear open for the results of this nation-wide search. It's such a nice idea!

In this age of communication, long distance relationships are becoming more and more common. As well as more people meeting online, with so many young people leaving Ireland to find work you might find yourself suddenly in a different country from your beloved.

There are ways to make it work though, and app developers are on the case. Here are three relationship apps which will help the two of you stay in touch.

Couple

Couple is basically just a social network, but for only two people. You can send messages, share photos, and schedule important events – from you anniversary to your nightly Skype call.

Cutest of all, it has a feature called “Thumb Kissing” where it will show you where your partners thumb is pressed on their screen so you can press your there too. Aww.

Avocado

With Avocado you can send messages between the two of you, share lists and archive special moments.

You can also create personal emoticon – “photocons” – shared just between the two of you.

The sweetest part is the name; avocados only grow in pairs.

2Life

This is the most comprehensive couples app. With this you can not only chat privately, create lists and record events, but you can share a daily journal between you to record your feeling while apart.

It’s the next best thing to being in the same room.

When 22-year-old singer, model and actress Sky Ferreira posted a photo of her new haircut with the caption: “THE RACHEL IS REAL”, her fans got very confused.

Why? Because they didn’t know who Rachel was, or what The Rachel is.

Apparently Rachel Green’s haircut from the first few seasons of Friends is still the most requested haircut around – but only if you’re above the age of 20!

Miley Cyrus's little sister Noah was among the bewildered young 'uns, and Miley was so shocked that she posted a screenshot of the message she got from her after sending her a photo of Sky’s new haircut.

There is also a string of confused comments on Sky’s Instagram post, which have to be seen to be believed.

We’ll just be over here so, in our rocking chairs and slippers. How did this happen so soon?!

American TV personality and psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow has said that he doesn’t want nutrition advice from Michelle Obama because she needs to “drop a few”.

There was a discussion about federal nutrition standards for school lunches on Fox’s talk show Outnumbered on Tuesday, and when one contributor spoke about Michelle Obama being a spokesperson for school nutrition, Ablow responded:

“How well can she be eating? She needs to drop a few.

“No, let’s be honest. No, listen – we’re taking nutritional advice from who? Let’s be honest, there’s no french fries ever? That’s all kale and carrots? I don’t buy it.”

What we don’t buy is that an apparently educated man could make such a ridiculous comment! Michelle Obama looks perfect to us – someone needs to get their eyes tested!

First we had the #nomakeupselfie, now it's the #makeuptransformation trend that has hit Instagram in all it's trending amazement.

If you haven’t already heard of it, we will assume you were trekking through the Amazon, otherwise you are simply a lost cause…

But it’s not just us ladies who seeking to transform ourselves into our favourite celebs – men have gotten in on the trend, with obvious hilarious results.

Not only are they transforming themselves, they are also providing much needed tutorials.

It’s actually pretty good!

Is there anything worse than an ingrown toenail, or anything that sounds more disgusting? We’ve often wondered what causes them so that we could perhaps prevent ourselves from getting them – and so, we found out:

Genetics
There’s not a whole lot you can do if this is the cause of your ingrown toenail. Some nails are a shape which is more prone to becoming ingrown, so you just have to pay your toes some extra attention.

Sports
Some sports, such as running or football, cause repetitive stress on your toes. This can make them more likely to become ingrown. One way of combatting this is to invest in the proper footwear.

Not cutting your nails properly
It’s important to cut your nails straight across and not to make them too short. Giving them a bit of a curve and making them too short can lead to ingrown toenails, and it doesn’t sound like super short toenails would feel too nice either!

Shoes that are too small
We’d all love dainty little feet, but squeezing your size nines into something smaller is not doing your toenail situation any favours. They can push the side of your nail into your toenail – ouch!

Injured nails
If you’ve ever dropped something on your toe and the toenail fell off, the nail that grew back is more prone to becoming ingrown. So watch out!

After a public and messy break up, it appears that pop star Rita Ora had her performance cancelled at this weekend’s Teen Choice Award by her ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris.

She apparently had been rehearsing for the show for over a month when Calvin intervened. The planned song was her hit single ‘I Will Never Let You Down’, but as Calvin wrote and produced the track, he has final say over when and if it can be performed.

“For anybody who doesn’t understand how it works, he wrote and produced the song," Rita explained in an interview. "So he has to approve anything TV-wise… He owns the rights to it and he didn’t approve the Teen Choice Awards.”

The drama has heated up however as Calvin has responded on twitter to Rita’s claim, saying that he did stop her performing, and that he “had a damn good reason”.

Oooh intriguing. 

We have a feeling their public split has a lot more juicy details to come.

Beyoncé, it seems, has done a Kardashian and touched up her Instagram photos before posting them.

It’s not clear what’s been photoshopped but something has definitely been done – her phone has a weird curve in it and the wine glass is completely wonky. A digital nip and tuck Bey?

If that’s the case can we just say, you don’t need it! Whatever you were trying to alter we're sure it was perfect the way it was. 

There's no comment on the matter from Beyoncé, but we very much hope it was one of her "people" rather than Bey herself who is responsible for the fakery.

Kristen Stewart’s new film Camp X-Ray sees her play a Guantanamo Bay guard who forms an unlikely connection to a detainee – and it looks pretty great.

The role was originally written for a man, but judging from the trailer, they did the right thing in casting K-Stew instead. Could this film we worthy of an Oscar? We think it stands a chance!

After years of campaigning by fans, the cancelled series Veronica Mars is coming back on our screens – our computer screens that is.

The new series is called Play it Again, Dick, and won’t be quite the same as before.

The show is coming back as a series of webisodes, and will be half Veronica Mars, half the campaign to bring back Veronica Mars. Creator Rob Thomas has described it as being like a crossover with his other show, Party Down, and is expected to have a mockumentary vibe.

All of the Veronica Mars cast have returned for the new series, and will be playing not only their usual characters but a warped comedic version of the selves.

Kirsten Bell will star as Veronica Mars (and Kirsten Bell), while Ryan Hanson will reprise his role as Dick Casablancas, and as Ryan Hanson trying to revive his career by having a Veronica Mars spinoff.

It seems a bit complicated so far, but we’re sure that it will be as clever and funny as the original series, if more meta.

The series wil air on CWSeed on September 15th.

Ariana Grande believes an ex-boyfriend cheated on her with another man. The 21-year-old singer opened up about her heartbreak recently while discussing a track on her new album.

The song, called Break Your Heart Right Back, was inspired by Ariana’s own relationship experience, though she wouldn’t reveal which ex-boyfriend she was referring to.

“It's about a boy who cheats on a girl with another boy,” the singer said. “It's one of my favourites on the album and it's really funny because I believe it has happened to me. I'm not 100% positive, but I'm 99.9% positive.”

But Ariana admitted that she would be far more upset if a guy did the dirt on her with another woman, rather than a man. “I would rather he cheats on me with a guy than with a girl any day! If I found out my boyfriend was gay, I would be like 'OK!' I'd be so relieved.”

Hmm… not so sure we agree with that one, but whatever works for you Ariana!

The singer recently broke up her boyfriend, YouTube personality Jai Brooks. The pair had been together on-and-off since May 2012.
