Taylor Swift

We're looking forward to hearing her reaction to this.

Last night was taken over by the 2014 Country Music Awards, but there was one incredibly familiar face missing – Taylor Swift.

Taylor has made no secret of the fact she's done with country music and now wants to be a fully fledged pop star, highlighting her desire several times during recent interviews.

Well it seems that Nashville aren't going to take this lying down.

Country music stars Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley devoted much of their opening monologue to T-Swizzle's abandonment of her country roots – the country roots that made her the star she is today. And while it was all done in good fun, it's pretty obvious that there are some unfriendly feelings towards the newly-crowned pop princess.

The hosts took a page out of Taylor's own book and after many jokes regarding PPTSD (Post Partum Taylor Swift Disorder) composed a song about the new pop star and her break-up with Nashville.

After Carrie and Brad said they were "just going to have to Shake It Off,” Taylor's fan didn't feel quite the same way, with many taking to Twitter to criticise the CMAs and defend their beloved musician.

Taylor's infamous for always having the last word in every confrontation – will this get a song on the next album?

This is hilarious.

Apparently Louis Tomlinson got papped snogging Taylor Swift…according to Zayn Malik that is!

One Direction were doing an interview where they played a story game, and let’s just say things got out of hand!

Here’s how the story went:

Harry: “Louis Tomlinson…”
Niall: “Got papped snogging…”
Zayn: “Taylor Swift”

Hmm, did it really say Taylor or did Zayn see an opportunity he just couldn’t resist?!

Harry’s reaction meanwhile was actually very cute as he mutters: “You could have told me.”

The signer dated Taylor for four months at the end of 2013.

While the entire thing was a joke (or at least we hope it was!) we still have hopes for a Haylor reunion…

Skip to the 6:00 mark for the hilarious moment Zayn lets Louis' big secret slip…!

In a recent interview, singer Taylor Swift opened up about her (somewhat unexpected) friendship with Lena Dunham.

The pair first became pals in 2012 when Lena sent Taylor a direct message on Twitter, gushing about her music. Two years on, Taylor describes her bestie as “a hug in the form of a person,” saying that “her perspective has truly shaped me in the past couple of years.”

Lena has also spoken numerous times about how much of an inspiration Taylor is, describing her songs as “a soundtrack to many of my feelings.”

The fact that the two stars have formed such a strong bond in just two years might seem a little strange, but when you consider that our twenties are some of the most formative years of our lives, it’s no surprise that friendships formed during that period would be equally life-defining.

During childhood and secondary school, our relationships are generally limited to those we meet at school or where we live. It’s only when carving a path for ourselves as adults, at college and beyond, that we get a chance to meet people who we truly identify with, rather than those we meet simply because they live in the house down the road.

That’s not to say that old friendships aren’t just as strong as new ones – we all envy those girls who’ve been a part of each other’s lives since they were three or four – but sometimes it takes growth and perspective to see what we really value in a friend.

Lena and Taylor both found what they were looking for in each other – someone who understands what it is to be successful and creative without being a full-on party animal extrovert. “We have the same responsibility and the same pressure that's on you when you write every single word you end up performing,” said Taylor in an interview last year. Lena’s also praised her pal for helping her “be stronger and make better decisions.”

Happy Birthday to my favorite person to have picnics with.. the magical, kind-hearted, wondrous @lenadunham

As we grow older, it becomes easier for us to decide for ourselves who we want to give our time to. In our twenties we meet so many diverse groups of people but we don’t instantly become BFFs with everyone that crosses our path. If we don’t see eye to eye with someone, it’s no big deal, we can move on and drop that empty baggage.

That kind of viewpoint means that when we do find someone who we truly admire and relate to, we know the bond is real and worth holding on to.

People are LOVING Kelly Clarkson’s cover of Shake It Off – especially Taylor Swift!

Taylor tweeted her approval of Kelly’s cover, saying it was a perfect way to mark 26 hours to her album release (which happened today).

The singer didn’t just do a regular version of the song however, she changed it and made it her own.

While we’re not convinced it’s better than Taylor’s version, it has to be said it’s damn good!

The video has amassed over one million views on YouTube since Taylor's shout out on Saturday evening.

Poor Taylor Swift.

She’s had a rough old time of it in the press, thanks to her turbulent romantic life, and it seems like all the unwanted attention has taken its toll on her.

Speaking after the launch of her new album, the Shake It Off singer said that she’s been taking a break from dating in a bid to avoid a media bashing.

“I get stressed when I think about getting into a relationship because I get beat up in the press whenever I go near a boy,” said the singer.

“So that’s why Shake It Off is a cheeky play of the character of me that has been written in the press. It’s this complex mess of a girl who can get all of these guys but scares them because she is just very clingy and needy and mercurial and unpredictable,” she added.

Taylor’s romantic life has come under the spotlight once again with the release of her new album, featuring the track Out of the Woods, supposedly written about ex-boyfriend Harry Styles.

Let's hope this is the end of beart-break for her.

Everyone has their own signature and this can be a good, or a very bad thing…

We have all either seen these dancers or been these dancers on one occasion or another!

1. The Having a Good Time Dancer

They don't care who's watching, their dancing shoes are there and the floor is theirs for the taking.

2. The Person Who is Actually Great at Dancing Dancer

You stand there doing your awkward dance (see below) when suddenly they break out the Irish dancing moves…

3. The Awkward Dancer

They do not feel comfortable dancing and you can really tell. They don’t want to be here but were dragged out to the floor by their ‘friends’. They haven’t had nearly enough alcohol to even pretend to be having a good time.

4. The Ironic Dancer

Maybe they can’t dance, maybe they don’t have the confidence to try, but they don’t let that stop them from being one of the dance-floor’s favourites. They are masters of the Macerena, the Chicken Dance, the Robot, and Gangham Style. The crowd loves them and they love performing for the crowd. Like #1, they have a great time but unlike #1 they need the crowd to prove to themselves they are having a good time.

5. The Sexed Up Couple ‘Dancers’

The nightmare dancers.

6. The Wasted Dancer

You honestly can’t tell how they are still upright, and then they’ll fall to the ground. They try to bring their drinks out with them and the bouncers keep a keen eye on them. Usually they are alone which makes you wonder did they arrive like that and if so how did they get in? And looking at them giving it their all on the dance-floor, surely they’d have sweated out all the alcohol by now?

7. The Enthusiastic Floor Hogging Dancer

They are waving their arms and jumping around like no one else exists. They are having an unbelievable time. And are having it all by themselves. Too much vodka red-bulls for this chap.

8. The Girls Night Dancers

These girls are out to have a good time. They are screaming ‘This is our song!’ for basically every single song the DJ plays. We've all been these girls and it is SO much fun!

9. The Unwanted Grinding ‘Dancer’

What. The. Hell. These guys never give up either – they'll just be there, at your butt all night.

It looks like Olly Murs has been feeling the heat since his comments about Taylor Swift’s songwriting hit headlines.

The X Factor star has now admitted that he has apologised for his comments, after Taylor appeared on radio calling speculation on her songwriting “sexist”.

Taylor was replying to questions regarding the men in her life that have inspired some of her most favourite songs: “That’s a very sexist angle to take. No one says that about Ed Sheeran, no one says that about Bruno Mars, they’re all writing songs about their exes … and no one raises a red flag there.”

See the moment at 5:36 in the video below:

Olly seems to feel that Taylor’s comments were aimed at him, as he has recently said: “I reached out to Taylor around two days ago. I gave her a letter and said, “I’m really sorry … It came out wrong. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make any offence. It always came out that every article says Taylor writes songs and they always link it to Harry so I was just making a joke and defending my mate. But there’s one thing – I’m not and I’ve never been sexist. I don’t think that’s right.”

Hmm, who says Taylor was speaking to you directly, Olly?! Sounds like someone has a guilty conscious!

So Taylor Swift HATES Jamie Oliver – but it’s all for a good cause!

The singer and the British TV chef appeared in a skit for Stand Up to Cancer which sees Taylor getting very, very wound up by the chef!

Showing that Taylor takes her baking VERY seriously indeed, she is less than impressed by Jamie’s version of Shake It Off, and when he starts to steal her ingredients all hell breaks loose.

We must say, Taylor is quite the actress if this skit is anything to go by!

As for Jamie's singing skills…well let's hope he doesn't quit the day job.

Hold the phone – Harry Styles wrote a song about Taylor Swift?!

Touché!

While we’re all still obsessing over Out of the Woods, Taylor’s supposed ode to ex-boyfriend Harry, it seems that the One Direction singer has put his thoughts on their romance into song too!

This is just too much.

According to reports today, Harry has penned a break-up song all about “the one that got away” – that’s Taylor – and it featured on a record by singing duo Alex & Sierra.

That’s not even the saddest part – the song is called I Love You.

The song is all about Harry’s regret over the failed romance, and includes such heart-breaking lyrics as: “I fell in love with a beautiful girl/ And she still takes my breath away”.

Guys, you are killing us here.

Just take a listen to the song below, and let us know your thoughts.

Could it be that Harry and Taylor’s love story isn’t over just yet? We’re secretly still rooting for them!

Olly Murs has slammed Taylor Swift’s new song, 'Out of the Woods', which is said to be about his good friend, Harry Styles.

The singer appeared on a radio show and was questioned about Taylor’s new song which is said to be about Harry as it references an incident in which Harry needed 20 stitches after a snowmobile accident.

Olly said about the Harry reference: “come on, let it go. Write something new that isn’t about Harry … Bless him, it’s been like two years and he’s still getting lashed out isn’t he?”

Hmm, does he have a point?

Olly also pointed out that 'We are Never Ever Getting Back Together' was also about Harry.

Nah, we love 'Out of the Woods' too much to care who Taylor was writing about!

Oh Taylor, just when you think you can’t surprise us anymore, you tell us that you stalk your fans.

The singer, who is eagerly awaiting the release of her new album, 1989, was speaking to BBC America about her secret listening sessions, saying: “I would go online and would look at their Instagram pages, or their Twitter or their Tumblr or whatever and I just kind of watched them for months and months.”

We love how we can just imagine Taylor sitting in her room with Meredith and Olivia, watching Law & Order and stalking her fans – amazing.

The singer was also forced to explain why her most recent single from the album, Out of the Woods, wasn't made available on iTunes UK, taking to her Tumblr account and writing:

"To all my wonderful UK fans, I realise that you are not able to get ‘Out of the Woods’ due to a new strategy my record is working on it the UK. I’ve never been one to hold my music back from any of you so I will be watching closely to see of this is ultimately a better experience for you, the fans.”

Taylor went on to say that her bestie Ed Sheeran had done something similar: “My good friend Ed Sheeran utilised the same strategy with’One’ in the UK and he seemed very happy with the feedback from his fans. But ultimately, it’s down to you. Let me know.”
