Ryan Tubridy really went through the mill last night with probably the most awkward interview we've seen in a while.

Nigella Lawson was a guest on last nights The Late Late Show and (after obviously having a few too many) completely mixed up her sentences and slurred her words. 

Ryan even pulled out two Nutella jars with their names on them side by side and jokingly said, "I thought we could be jarred together."

Oh, Ryan.

And not surprisingly, Twitter went crazy following the awkward interview:

On a cold Sunday evening, there is nothing better than cuddling up to watch your favourite shows and indulging in a steamy hot chocolate.

Well, Nigella Lawson has TOTALLY upped the hot cocoa game as she adds a little caramel twist to the sweet drink.

Here's the recipe that will make you never want to go back to plain hot chocolate again:

Ingredients:

  • salted caramel sauce
  • 250ml full fat milk
  • 50g finely chopped dark chocolate

Method:

To make a mugful, put 250ml full fat milk into a small saucepan with 50g finely chopped dark chocolate, and 3 x 15ml tablespoons of salted caramel sauce.

Cook, stirring over medium heat, until chocolate is melted and you have a rich hot liquid to pour into a waiting mug.

If you want you could dollop whipped cream over the top, followed by some drizzled salted caramel sauce.

This is unbelievably shocking to say the very least!

Paintings of the awful moment Charles Saatchi grabbed his ex-wife Nigella Lawson by the throat outside a restaurant in London, are being sold on his website.

Seven images of the moment, which sparked the downfall of their marriage, have appeared on SaatchiArt.com, an American based site that is closely linked to his gallery in London.

Saatchi spoke about the paintings, saying: “Would it have been a better story if I had censored artists whose work might be personally disobliging?”

Reports are revealing that Katie Holmes is set to be the next Nigella Lawson.

Apparently, American cook show The Taste are interested in having the former Dawson’s Creek star replace current British chef, Nigella on the show.

A source revealed that it’s all early days, but Katie is extremely interested in taking on the role.

“They’re keen to hear more about how Katie’s planning to reinvent herself as a Martha Stewart-style culinary guru. It’s very early days and it all depends on what happens with Nigella, but Katie is very excited and would jump at the job if it came available.”

Katie apparently wants to leave acting behind and become a cooking star. Not sure how Nigella would feel about this.

Nigella Lawson was turned away at a London airport after being banned from the US for taking drugs.

The celebrity cook was due to fly from London to Los Angeles to act as a judge on TV cooking show The Taste but was reportedly not allowed on the plane.

The 54-year-old ‘Domestic Goddess’ confessed under oath during a trial last year that she had snorted cocaine several times and smoked cannabis in front of her children.

Although Scotland Yard did not act over her confession, it seems the US authorities are taking a tougher stance.

Nigella is said to have arrived alone at Heathrow airport on Sunday morning to catch a direct British Airways flight to LA.

She is thought to have checked in and passed security before being told she could not board her plane. She had to return to the first class check-in to arrange to collect her hold luggage.

The celebrity is said to have tried to enter the US by registering online for permission to travel and confirming she had not been arrested or convicted of offences including taking illegal drugs.

However, the US reserves the right to ban visitors to their country if they have admitted to drug use, even if they have not been convicted.

Before going to the airport, Nigella posted a photo on Twitter with the caption, “Packing for my holiday!”

The photo showed a sunhat, a tube of Colman’s Mustard and a small tin of Maldon sea salt.

Nigella Lawson is the cover star of next month’s British Vogue and decided to wear hardly any make-up.

In what could be interpreted as an attempt to stop hiding behind her perfect ‘domestic goddess’ persona, the TV chef is photographed with just a little blush and a dab of mascara.

Vogue insiders have said the cover photo has only undergone a little photoshopping: “Miss Lawson received a little retouching as we do with all cover images. Oddly given that she is a woman in her fifties, less than some people decades younger.”

Given the troubles Nigella has experienced in the last year after rumours of domestic abuse and a court case that revealed she’d taken drugs, we have a lot of admiration for her honest photo shoot.

We find it difficult to leave the house without make-up, don’t mind appear without it on Vogue!

No stranger to controversial comments, it seems Trinny won’t change her ways just because she’s reached her 50th birthday.

Trinny is currently dating Charles Saatchi, Nigella Lawson’s ex who divorced the TV chef last summer. Their split followed shocking pictures of what appeared to show Charles grabbing Nigella by the throat outside a restaurant in London.

Considering this, we find it disturbing that Trinny would go on to say what she has.

Writing on a blog about turning 50, Trinny said: “It’s great that, at 50, life can still grab you by the throat and shake you up. And it’s even better when you’ve learned to cope with whatever’s thrown at you. So long as it isn’t a bedside lamp.”

Wow. So much for women empowering one another, eh? Stay classy Trinny!

Irishman Barry Johnston had the best dish on The Taste last night and we’re not even being biased – they were the exact thoughts of judges Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson and Ludo Lefebvre.

His delicious dish of cured and grilled mackerel with pickled beetroot, wasabi mayonnaise and tempura samphire went down a treat with the judges and they all fought to win Barry for their teams, with Bourdain emerging as the winner.

Barry, from Ballinasloe, joked that “his friends would kill him for not choosing Nigella,” but that his dream had always been to work with Bourdain, an American food critic.

So what is different about this new cooking show? Well, contestants can only cook a mouthful (or a taste, if you will), of their chosen dish to impress the three judges.

Nigella is the judge Irish audiences would be most familiar with; however, the other two are far from dull. Lefebvre, a French chef based in LA is hilariously dramatic, while Bourdain provides us with that no-nonsense dry humour we all love to hate.

Nigella hasn’t had much luck lately, but if news of a new movie is anything to go by, things may be looking up.

According to reports, the 54-year-old’s life may be turned into a movie, with Angelina Jolie as frontrunner for the lead role.

“Angie had planned to take a lot of time off next year but this role is very tempting. She has been gripped like everyone else by all the drama surrounding Nigella these past few months and thinks she is a remarkable woman.”

The last few months have been chaotic for the domestic goddess and shocking to fans, so the film would make for some interesting viewing.

The British TV chef split from her husband, Charles Saatchi, at the end of last year after he was photographed with his hand around her neck. After that story broke, she then then had to deal with rumours of drugs and abuse. Most recently, the celebrity chef had to endure a trial, which saw her former assistants, Elisabetta and Francesca Grillo, accused and cleared of fraud.

If Angie does take up the role, we’re sure the movie will be big, but if not, we can’t see it being a box office hit.
