Taylor Swift's 1989 world tour was a hot topic for most of this year, so it's no wonder the starlet is releasing a film version of her gigs.

On Sunday, Tay gave a birthday treat to her fans and debuted the trailer to for The 1989 World Tour LIVE.

Most of it was filmed in front of 76,000 fans at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney, Australia. It captures Taylor's entire performance plus never-before-seen footage from backstage AND all of the celeb cameo appearances.

We have been anticipating the release of Room for well over a year now and thank goodness, we don't have to wait much longer.

To appease our appetites, a brand new trailer has been released and it has pretty much cemented the fact that this will no doubt be the first film we go to see in 2016.

Based on the hit novel of the same name written by Irish author Emma Donoghue, the movie version has been tackled by esteemed Irish director Lenny Abrahamson, known for such titles as Frank and What Richard Did

Room tells the story of a mother, played by up and coming American actress Brie Larson, and her 5-year-old son who are finally released back into the world after years spent in captivity.

The film is already receiving highly positive reviews and there are murmurs that the film may enjoy some Oscar nominations at the 2016 awards.

Room will be in cinemas on the 15th of January, but in the meantime enjoy the trailer below.

It’s the battleground that every couple knows only too well: just WHAT do you go to see in the cinema for date night?

Sometimes, you agree readily and easily on a newly-released flick… on other occasions, the discussion is rather more fraught.

And even when you do finally come to a settlement, there is always the possibility of that tetchy, unforeseen scenario: a sold-out screening.

It’s frankly enough to test even the toughest relationships.

Fear not, however! ODEON Cinemas has come up with a solution – namely its innovative Screen Unseen drive.

Audiences are asked to go to the cinema (nothing new there, granted)… the twist is they never know exactly what they’re going to watch upon arrival.

But ODEON always plans the screenings meticulously, showing movies that get people talking – something out-of-the-ordinary and just a bit edgy, like Whiplash, Nightcrawler, and Selma.

Last night, Me, Earl And The Dying Girl was shown – to great acclaim by those who took the plunge.

A nice bonus is that tickets cost just a fiver AND you’ll save hours arguing over what to go see with your other half.

So we say… trust your judgement and buy a cinema ticket blind. It’s a fantastic way to try something new too.

ODEON Cinemas are located throughout Ireland, so keep your ear to the ground for the next Screen Unseen event, logging on to the website and its Facebook page for more information.

Two months ago she was spotted at a West Hollywood eatery with her life coach… and now Amanda Bynes has emerged once again.

And while back in May she certainly appeared noticeably happier and healthier – yesterday, the 29-year-old actress positively shone at an LA fashion event.

Wearing a tight white lace dress, she completed her outfit with leather stilettos and a small leather shoulder bag. She also had on oversized sunglasses and her trademark long, blonde wig.

Ms Bynes was attending the launch party for Project Runway star's Michael Costello's capsule range in Los Angeles – seemingly the first bash she’s been a guest at since her much-publicised breakdown and mental-health issues.

Also attending the same soiree were former Danity Kane members Shannon Bex and Abrey O'Day, as well as singer Nicole Scherzinger.

Earlier this year, a spokesperson for the star said: "Amanda is doing great. She appreciates all of the love and support she receives from family, friends and fans."

Legal representatives for her parents, Lynn and Rick, also said at the same time: "She is doing great, working on her fashion design and staying focused on living a balanced and healthy life."

It has been furthermore reported that Ms Bynes has made sufficient health improvements to move out of her parents’ home and into her own apartment.

It is believed that Amanda’s relationship with her mum and dad, which at times has been hugely strained, has also improved significantly since late last year.

As recently as last October, the star was being treated in a psychiatric facility.

In 2012, she was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, and two years ago she was involuntarily hospitalised because of her erratic behaviour.

Two sets of hit and run charges against her were dismissed when she made financial settlements out of court.

She has also been caught shoplifting and in a series of worrying tweets, she made several incredible accusations – including that she had been sexually abused by her father.

It was a comment she later retracted, saying that a "microchip made her say it".

The former Nickelodeon star remains under the temporary conservatorship of her parents.

She raised eyebrows when she jetted into Cannes on Sunday to mingle with A-listers including Rachel Weisz, Sienna Miller, and Miranda Kerr, but Ferne McCann has proven that she was doing more than merely making up the numbers.

Indeed, it has now been revealed that the Towie celeb was in the south of France for a series of exciting get-togethers with leading film executives.

"Ferne can't believe her luck. She was flown out for a lucrative meeting at the plush La Tonnelle restaurant," says an insider tells The Mirror today.

"She's always dreamed of being an actress, so she's really excited."

Yesterday, she attended a swish boat party wearing a nude wrap dress by Topshop and an YSL clutch. Meanwhile, on Monday night she wore a €200 black beaded dress from H&M when she attended a bash at The Carlton Hotel.

New Media Law director Ian Penman has since confirmed to The Mirror: "We are currently negotiating something for Ferne in Cannes."

The reality TV star split from her boyfriend of five-years Charlie Sims, also a Towie cast member, in March – after he dumped her on Twitter. Unsurprisingly, the move shocked Ferne.

Ferne with her ex, Charlie Sims

She told Closer magazine recently: ''I thought my life was mapped out.

''Me and Charlie were looking at moving in and I imagined I'd be married by the age of 25 and ready to have kids.

''One night I went to bed, happily in a relationship the next, it was all over – and on social media. It was hard.''

Those of you who have read Fifty Shades of Grey will be all too familiar with the er, tampon scene…

For those of you who haven’t, in the scene Anastasia has her period and before they have sex, Christian pulls her tampon out. Sorry…

Now that has been uncomfortably explained, it has been revealed that the scene won’t be making the movie, which we have to say isn’t all that surprising given that it isn’t the sexiest of scenes to imagine.

Talking to Variety, the director Sam Taylor-Johnson revealed that the infamous scene wouldn’t cut it: “It didn’t make the movie. It was never even discussed.”

Producer of the movie, Michael DeLuca explained that the decision, saying: “The book needed to put you in Ana’s shoes to be a successful experience. A lot of it was very literal. The movie didn’t need to do that. It’s a completely different medium.”

Are you relieved or disappointed that the scene won’t be hitting the cinemas?

The cast for the upcoming rom-zom-com Pride, Prejudice and Zombies has finally been announced, and involves some of the biggest up and coming stars this side of the atlantic.

The film, based on the best selling book by Seth Grahame-Smith, is a comedic twist on the original 19th century novel where the country dances and witty wordplay is interrupted by a zombie attack.

Playing the now action-hero Elizabeth Bennett is Lily James, best known as Lady Rose in Downton Abbey.

Playing opposite her will be Maleficent’s Sam Reilly as Mr Darcy and Australian actress Bella Heathcote as Elizabeth’s sister, Jane.

The film adaptation has been slow to get off the ground, with Natalie Portman, Lily Collins and Emma Stone involved at various points.

Natalie will not be acting in the movie, but is still attached to the project as a producer.

Bradley Cooper shocked fans at the weekend when he was spotted flipping burgers in a fast food restaurant in the centre of London.

But fear not, our lovely Bradley has not fallen on hard times, but was instead preparing himself for his latest film role.

The actor was seen practicing his burger flipping skills on Sunday before he was pictured filming the scene yesterday.

An insider revealed that Bradley wanted to learn the “art of the flip”.

“Bradley was training alongside genuine Burger King staff. The aim was to learn the ‘art of the flip’ which he nailed fairly quickly.  There was no real fanfare from him. You’d never know he was a big star by the way he spoke to people.”

Cooper plays a chef in his new movie, which has yet to be titled.

With all of this practice, we’ve no doubt that he’s mastered the art of flipping burgers already!

The film version of E.L. James’s best selling erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey is well on the way, as the author decided to treat fans with a photo of one of the most coveted of props: the key to Christian Grey’s ‘Red Room of Pain’.

She didn’t give too much away, captioning the image with a simple “#nuffsaid”.

The film is at the editing stage and when Director Sam Taylor Johnson was asked if it turned out how she wanted, she replied: “Absolutely. Yeah. I’m excited.”

So are we!
