Pop idol Britney Spears is clearing up rumours about her mental health and well-being on her social media, confirming: “All is well”.

37-year-old Toxic singer checked into a mental health facility earlier in April to cope with the stress of her father’s ongoing illness.

Rumours were swirling that there was more going on beneath the surface of Spears’ visit, but she shared a video on Instagram on April 23 to dispel the myth.

“Hi guys, just checking in with all of you who are concerned about me,” Britney said in the video, referring to her father Jamie, who she is very close with.

“My family has been going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately, so I just needed time to deal. But don’t worry, I’ll be back very soon,” she continued.

Her fans were deeply concerned about her treatment and suspected that her family had forced her to enter the facility.

Mental health has been known to play a big role in addiction as a whole. Brittany spears is a perfect example of this. She has finally understood that she cannot enter a drug rehab program without getting help with her mental health issues.

A group of protesters gathered outside City Hall on Monday in LA to demand her release from the facility after claims about her mental health went viral.

Britney’s caption disputes the “out of control” things which fans online have said, and even alluded to shocking death threats made to her family and team;

“I am trying to take a moment for myself, but everything that’s happening is just making it harder for me,” Britney wrote. “Don’t believe everything you read and hear.”

She wrote a detailed and emotional Instagram post about her dad’s health back in early January;

“A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalised and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time.”

Britney also spoke out against her former manager, Sam Lutfi, who she claimed wrote fake emails in her name to communicate with her team; “My situation is unique, but I promise I’m doing what’s best at this moment,” she said.

“You may not know this about me, but I am strong, and stand up for what I want!” Britney continued in the social media video.

“Your love and dedication is amazing, but what I need right now is a little bit of privacy to deal with all the hard things that life is throwing my way. If you could do that, I would be forever grateful.”

We wish her well and hope her father makes a speedy and full recovery. We need Brit back to her best.

Paris Jackson, daughter of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, is seeking treatment for issues relating to her emotional and mental health.

"She checked herself into a treatment facility to aid in her wellness plan and is looking forward to coming out of this revitalized and ready to tackle the exciting new projects that await her," the insider added.

The young model suddenly ceased sharing any images on social media from the middle of December, and failed to join her family on holiday in Toyka over Christmas.

This is an unusual move for the star, who is very close with her younger brothers especially. Her followers then began to speculate that her mental health may have been suffering.

The 20-year old has had a manic year career-wise, and had to face the heartbreaking death of her grandfather Joe Jackson.

She has been hugely sought after in the fashion world, and since her Hollywood debut, it's apparent that the youngster is a new 'It Girl' on the scene.

Paris last hit the headlines in September 2018 for calling out paparazzi who were verbally attacking her as she left a New York Fashion Week event.

She has regularly discussed her struggles with self-confidence and depression, which drove her to attempt to commit suicide for the first time when she was only 13-years-old.

She later attempted to take her own life again aged 15 multiple times, leading her to enter a therapeutic school;

"I was going through a lot of, like, teen angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and my anxiety without any help," she told Rolling Stone in 2017.

Hopefully she's getting the help she needs.

Selena wore a black outfit for her outdoor activities, striking a pose with her friends and looking healthier than ever after snow-tubing.

Gomez entered a treatment facility for anxiety and depression last October following her struggle and ongoing issues with Lupus, a disease which caused her to require a kidney transplant in 2017.

After undergoing a trip to hospital in September, the star appeared under a huge amount of strain.

A source told E! News that Selena "started to feel super overwhelmed" but just a week after entering the treatment centre she was "already feeling better than she did last week."

Since leaving her treatment programme in New York, Selena hasn't made many public outings or appearances.

She utilised dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), a form of cognitive-behavioural psychology, while receiving treatment.

The 26-year-old told Vogue in 2017 that  "DBT has completely changed my life," adding,

"I wish more people would talk about therapy. We girls, we're taught to be almost too resilient, to be strong and sexy and cool and laid-back, the girl who's down. We also need to feel allowed to fall apart."

The former Disney star seems to rely a lot on her friendships for support during times of tough mental and physical health.

During a photoshoot for a campaign, she had her friends join her on set;

"I don't know what I would be without my friends. They've saved my life, they've been there for me through the thick and thin of it all," she said in a video for SGxPUMA.

We're so glad for Selena that she has such loyal friends, and wish her all the best with her health in future.

She's truly inspiring, it can't be easy to discuss mental health under the public eye.
