The Minister for Justice has spoken about the ongoing ‘serious incident’ in Dublin.

Helen McEntee has released an official statement, after an alleged multiple stabbing incident occurred in Parnell Square East shortly after 1:30pm this afternoon.

As of 3pm, Gardaí noted that five casualties have been taken to numerous hospitals in the Dublin area. The wounded include an adult male, an adult female and three young children. It is believed that the injured adult male carried out the attack.

A young girl has sustained serious injuries, while the other two children are being treated for less serious injuries. Meanwhile, the adult female is being treated for serious injuries and the adult male obtained less serious injuries.

In a message posted to social media, Minister McEntee wrote: “I am deeply shocked by the appalling attack on three innocent children and a woman in Dublin today. All our thoughts are with those injured, especially with the children, their parents and families, during this extremely difficult period.”

The 37-year-old went on to detail: “I have been briefed by the Garda Commissioner and will remain in close contact with him and senior Gardai. It is my understanding that Gardai are following a definite line of inquiry and are not looking for any other person at this time.”

Minister McEntee, who is a mother to two sons, concluded her message by penning: “This attack has shocked us all, and I have no doubt that the person responsible will be brought to justice. However, my thoughts now are with the innocent children and the woman who have been attacked, their families, and those who are caring for them at this time.”

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar also confirmed on X, formerly Twitter, that “Gardaí have detained a suspect”, and further wrote: “We are all shocked by the incident”.

Gardaí have since announced that the area in Dublin’s city centre remains closed off at this time, with further updates on the situation to be provided in due course.

Dani Dyer has been sharing new details about her daughters.

The former Love Island star welcomed her identical daughters, Star and Summer, at the end of May with her boyfriend Jarrod Bowen. She is already mum to her two-year-old son Santiago whom she had during a previous relationship.

Six months on from welcoming her daughters into the world, Dani has shared an insight into how she and Jarrod chose the unique names for their twins.

While answering a Q&A on her Instagram Stories for her 3.7M followers, a fan asked the 27-year-old how she decided that ‘Star was Star, and Summer was Summer’, when picking which name to give to which baby.

Dani revealed, “So… how can I explain this? Twin Two, who was Star, was always the one that played up a little bit on the scans. She was always the one that we had to go back extra for”.

“So Twin Two was always Star because she was always the one that played up and Jarrod said, ‘See, that’s you all over. You are Twin Two’".

"And then Jarrod was Twin One so he named Twin One and I named Twin Two”.

“But now I can’t actually imagine Star being Summer and Summer being Star if that makes sense. It definitely worked out in our favour”.

Dyer continued, “He always wanted the name Summer and I always, always wanted the name Star so I’m really glad that we chose correctly with the names because it just makes a lot of sense”.

Dani previously explained where she got the inspiration for the name Star from when chatting to OK!.

The reality TV star said, “It was the easiest decision ever. I always loved the name Star from the film The Lost Boys when I was young”.

“The vampire was called Star and she was gorgeous. That was always the name I wanted. Jarrod always had the name Summer, so decision made!”.

“The other day he said, ‘How lucky am I to have famous parents?’. I said, ‘It doesn’t matter’. He goes, ‘Yeah. But it’s pretty cool’”.

Charlotte Crosby has finally revealed how her fiancé Jake proposed!

On November 2, the former Geordie Shore star announced that she is now engaged to her partner, Jake Ankers. The couple’s milestone came just over a year after they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Alba Jean.

Now, a few weeks after saying ‘yes’, Charlotte has finally given her a glimpse behind the scenes into Jake’s proposal.

On this week’s episode of her podcast Charlotte Crosby Always On, the 33-year-old gushed that she was “so gobsmacked”, and that an engagement is “all she has ever wanted”.

The podcaster then went on to share that Jake decided to pop the question during the pair’s romantic holiday to Dubai for their anniversary.

After enjoying a “wild” night out on a yacht until 4am, the mum-of-one woke up feeling worse for wear on the morning of her anniversary.

Charlotte then went on to detail that she doesn’t want to give away “too much” ahead of her reality series, Charlotte In Sunderland. However, the reality star did confess that she began to get suspicious that evening.

“I didn’t expect that he was going to propose because it was a romantic setting, don’t get us wrong, but Jake does romantic settings all of the time,” she explained, recalling their dinner date.

“There was something that happened while we were at the table, that really gave the game away. At that point, I knew that something was coming,” she teased.

After she said ‘yes’, Charlotte confessed that she did not have another ‘wild night’, as she joked: “I went to bed with a McDonalds, and I stared at my ring from night until morning.”

Concluding with her thoughts on her upcoming wedding, Charlotte admitted: “I am in no rush to get married. My importance in life is babies, babies, babies. I’ve always wanted to be engaged, and I would quite happily be engaged for a long time.”

The hit Noughties band Girls Aloud have confirmed they are reuniting for a tour across the UK and Ireland in 2024.

Cheryl, Nadine, Nicola and Kimberley have revealed they are going on tour in memory of their late bandmate Sarah Harding, as part of a ‘celebration’ of her life.

The announcement comes on the 21st anniversary of the band as they share details on social media.

They posted a video of the group joining together to look back at iconic performances from their past to their official Instagram account.

The clip is captioned, “We’re so excited to announce that we will be touring the UK & Ireland in May and June 2024. A celebration of Sarah, our music and our incredible fans. We can’t wait to sing and dance with you all once again. -Cheryl, Kimberley, Nadine & Nicola”.

Opening up about their decision to go on tour again, Girls Aloud spoke to Vogue, with Nadine explaining, “I swear to God, I cannot for the life of me remember how we even came to this decision”.

“I just remember diaries being sent through and thinking, ‘Oh well, here we are!’. Suddenly I’m getting all these emails about flying around the roof of the O2 again”.

A post shared by Girls Aloud (@girlsaloud)

Cheryl added, “Just don’t call it a comeback. I see it more as a celebration of a milestone. And listen, it’s gonna be unreal. And it’s gonna be the nostalgia of your life”.

Discussing Sarah’s heartbreaking death following a battle with breast cancer, Nicola admitted, “It’s hard to talk about it. It’s hard for us to be here without her. It was our 20th anniversary last year but we were in no emotional shape to even contemplate celebrating it at the time”.

“Everything went out the window when we learnt about her diagnosis. We just needed to be there for her and support her as much as we could”.

A post shared by Girls Aloud (@girlsaloud)

Kimberley went on to say, “I think we channelled our grief into all the fundraising we did for The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal and that helped us a lot. And as tough as it will be, we want to give Sarah her moment on this tour. We need it. The fans need it. She needs it”.

Cheryl also revealed why the group won’t be recording any new songs as she said, “We couldn’t because Sarah wouldn’t be included in that newness. This is about celebrating the 20 years we’ve all had”.

“So the tour has got to be inclusive of Sarah because she’s such a massive part of our make-up. It will never feel like the old Girls Aloud again but we’ve reached a point where we feel ready to celebrate all of it. Sarah included”.

Tickets for The Girls Aloud Show will be going on sale next Friday, December 1. Fans can sign-up to girlsaloud.com for an exclusive pre-sale next Wednesday, Nov 29.

Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have announced they are going their separate ways.

The actors, known for their roles as Debbie Dingle and David Metcalfe in Emmerdale, have confirmed their split after recent speculation that they were no longer together.

Sharing the news on social media, the pair have revealed they wish to ‘remain friends’, with their ‘priority being focused on the love for their children’.

They released a joint statement to their Instagram Stories, with Charley writing, “It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate”.

“We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children”.

The 35-year-old added, “For their sake we would appreciate privacy at this time. C x”.

Matthew shared the same message to his 194K Instagram followers and signed off with ‘M x’.

Charley and Matthew first met on the set of Emmerdale back in 2007 before they began dating.

They went on to tie the knot surrounded by loved ones in 2018 with a surprise ceremony as guests thought they were attending Charley’s 30th birthday, but it turned out to be their wedding.

They share three sons together- 13-year-old Buster, eight-year-old Bowie and four-year-old Ace.

The couple faced recent speculation that they had split up after they were both seen out in public without their wedding rings.

Last month, Matthew opened up about his and Charley’s busy work schedules and shared an insight into their living arrangements while chatting on Loose Women.

The 43-year-old explained, “Charley's on tour, I’m down here in London. Bless my mum and dad, I owe them a holiday after this run because they've stepped in and moved into the house”.

“And they're looking after the kids, so yeah thanks, mum and dad! It's tough, it’s really tough, and I'm a real softie with the kids as well”.

Wolfenden added, “I just love being at home with the kids, to be away from them, I'm kind of counting down the days to the weekend”.

Princess Eugenie has opened up about her difficulties with food, after being scrutinised for her appearance.

Eugenie, who is the niece of King Charles III and the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, revealed for the first time that she has struggled with body confidence.

Speaking on the Tables Manners podcast with hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware, the 33-year-old was asked how she has coped with the constant media scrutiny of herself and the wider royal family.

“I think that definitely has caused a couple of issues around food, you know, for me, in terms of my relationship with that, or my relationship with having to look a certain way because it’s always like, ‘That was not a nice outfit’, or ‘She looked terrible there’. I guess everybody has that if you’re in the public eye,” Eugenie noted.

The mum-of-two then went on to explain how her many appearances in the public eye have affected her mentally.

“I guess within our family, it happens at that perfect age where you’re, you know, 13 years old and you’ve got that dorky bowl haircut and you’re a bit chubby and you know, all the boys are bullying you and all that kind of stuff,” she recalled.

Eugenie, who now spends half of her annual time in Portugal with her husband Jack and their two sons, admitted that she prefers to spend time away from home in London.

“This is why Portugal is the dream because I can go to the supermarket in my exercise gear and my hair piled on my head and not mind. Not care. No one cares,” she praised.

Eugenie’s revelations surrounding her mental health come just a few months after she welcomed her second child with Jack.

The couple announced the birth of their son Ernest on May 30, joining their two-year-old son August.

“Augie is loving being a big brother already,” Eugenie gushed on Instagram at the time.

Rochelle Humes has shared a new insight behind the scenes of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The Saturdays star’s husband, JLS hitmaker Marvin Humes, is currently taking part in this year’s series.

Now, a few days into his stint in the Australian jungle, Rochelle has uncovered some secrets into the production of the hit ITV reality show.

Speaking on This Morning earlier today, Rochelle’s co-host Dermot O’Leary asked her for her thoughts on her husband’s progress so far.

“I’m going to be honest, in all of the over 14 years we’ve been together, I don’t know those facial expressions,” she teased, as footage was shown of Marvin skydiving out of a helicopter during Sunday’s episode.

“He’s genuinely terrified… heights are not his thing, so I think he was looking forward to getting that bit over with,” she added.

The 34-year-old, who shares children Alaia-May (10), Valentina (6) and Blake (3) with Marvin, went on to admit that it is “weird in the house to watch him on telly and not talk to him.”

The mum-of-three then detailed an insight into production, while referring to a moment from Monday night’s episode. In the clip, Marvin and his fellow campmates – Fred Sirieix, Sam Thompson and Nella Rose – sang to Jamie Lynn Spears as she bathed in the middle of the jungle.

“The producer calls us, they give us a little call earlier on in the day and they say, ‘This is what’s going to happen tonight, just so you know, he’s doing okay,' and it’s sort of like a little courtesy call,” Rochelle explained.

“And she said, ‘At one point tonight, he does serenade Jamie Lynn Spears in the bath,’ and I was like, ‘Good job I’m not the jealous type!’, while I’m there with his kids,” she exclaimed, adding that she “understood it a lot more” after watching it.

“I’ve realised that I actually don’t ever want him to do that to me,” Rochelle concluded with a smile.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
