Amy Hart has shared a health update on her boyfriend Sam after he injured himself and had to go to hospital. 

The former Love Island star revealed her partner had ‘sliced his head open’ following an accident with their gate.

“When he came in and said he'd sliced his head open on the gate. My parents are still away so luckily my auntie sprung into action to come and sit with Stanley so we're here for next however many hours!”, she continued alongside a photo in hospital.

“We got moved from A&E to the urgent treatment centre… I think Sam is just about to go into see someone”.

Hart then updated her fans by sharing the good news that the couple made it home from the hospital after Sam had to get his head glued. 

Sharing a snap of Sam cradling and feeding their newborn son with a smile on his face, the former reality TV star penned, “Home now with a glued head”, followed by a laughing emoji.

Amy and Sam welcomed their first child, Stanley, into the world in March of this year.

The couple have just returned from their first holiday with their baby boy. The family-of-three headed to Spain where Amy revealed it was, “A lovely few days away in our home away from home! Lots of firsts for Stanley but sadly not his first time in a big pool as it was far too cold! We improvised”.

“Really changed my mindset and now instead of being sad the newborn stage is ending, I’m excited at all the exciting things we’ve got to come!”.

So, it turns out that a quarter of Irish people are unhappy in their current jobs, but the majority of people cant find the self confidence to move onwards and upwards

51% of Irish workers admitted not applying for a new job because of a lack of confidence, according to new research by LinkedIn.

The reasons people felt a lack of confidence were pretty varied: 

42% of professionals lacking confidence thought they didn’t have strong enough experience, while 40% thought that there were better candidates for the role and 40% were apprehensive about leaving their comfort zone.

This self-doubt applies to all professionals surveyed, with almost a third  of all workers surveyed questioning whether they would like their new job or if it is worse than their current position; almost 2 in 10 professionals stating that they are scared of rejection and failure; and 18% also admitting that they do not know what to do next.

However, LinkedIn's Jobstacle research found that there are a few tools people can utilise to help them charge up with enough confidence to move roles. 

One of the methods to overcome their lack of confidence was talking to someone in a similar role so they would know what to expect, with a third of professionals saying that such a conversation would be helpful.

24% of the research participants say that they are currently in a role that they are unhappy with or uninspired by. The lack of job motivation typically leads to people moving on quite quickly, with three quarters of people unhappy with their previous job admitting that they had been in the role less than a year before they applied for a new job.

When asked about the biggest motivational factors for applying for a new job, two thirds  of professionals say that a salary increase would tempt them to apply for a new role.

This was followed by better benefits like flexible working hours and healthcare (41%) and better work life balance (41%).

The appeal of feeling wanted was also a plus with four out of ten workers saying that they would be more likely to apply for a role if they were approached about it.

Even though summer is thankfully fast-approaching, we’re still having too many of these rainy days. We’d much rather be out enjoying the fresh spring breeze and sunshine but the weather has other plans unfortunately.

Ladies, your next date night dinner is here and it is delish.

We’re taking you on a little trip around the world with this dish, and we definitely think it will spice things up! Transport yourself to the Greek islands with this spicy and fragrant prawn Saganaki dish, full of rich flavours and succulent seafood.

The perfect dish to try something new and make any at-home date feel that little bit more special, this dish will bring your night in to the next level.

You will need:

Flat-leaf parsley

2 cloves garlic

1tsp smoked paprika

Oregano

Thyme

½ tsp chilli flakes (adjust for however spicy you like it!)

1 red onion (chopped)

1 can chopped tomatoes

Salt and pepper

200ml olive oil

100g Feta cheese

200ml white wine – something that pairs well with seafood

250g Prawns

1 loaf fresh bread

Turn on your grill to 200C.

Put olive oil into a large pan over a medium heat until it has warmed up. Place chopped red onion and garlic into the pan and allow to cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add prawns to than pan, turning to cook on both sides. This shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper, smoked paprika, chilli flakes, oregano and a little thyme. Allow to simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavours to really sink into the prawns.

Pour white wine into the pan, followed by the can of chopped tomatoes and allow to simmer and reduce for about 10-15 minutes, stirring now and again.

Meanwhile, chop up a garlic clove and place it into a small cup with a little olive oil.

Slice your loaf and set onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush the olive oil-garlic clove mixture over your slices of bread before popping them under the grill for 5-10 minutes or until toasted.

Ladle your Saganaki mixture into a small baking tray and crumble feta cheese over the top and place under the grill for five minutes.

Serve with a side of toasted bread and top the mixture with some parsley. Enjoy!

Millie Court and Liam Reardon are officially back together!

Speculation had been growing in recent weeks that the former Love Island winners had rekindled their romance. 

The pair initially broke up in July of last year, just shy of their one year anniversary of leaving the villa together. However, Millie and Liam had announced earlier this year that they were both in new relationships.

Yesterday, Millie shared that she has embarked on a stunning cruise holiday with her ‘mystery man’.

Although the identity of her partner has been hidden on Millie's own Instagram account, a fellow cruise passenger has given fans some exclusive information.

Singer Jessica Kate Yallup, who performs on the cruise, couldn’t contain her excitement yesterday as she shared a selfie of herself with Millie and Liam.

“Love Island Winners – Liam and Millie are sailing with us around Europe this week – what lovely people! They love live music and I’m a big Love Island fan,” Jessica Kate wrote in her caption.

On her own Instagram account, Millie teased that her boyfriend was incapable of taking Instagram-worthy snaps of her on holiday.

“Managed to get a couple good ones after a lot of direction but this is what I was getting to begin with…” the 26-year-old joked, before uploading a low-angle photo of herself from behind.

The confirmation of the couple’s rekindled romance comes just a few days after fans’ suspicions had peaked even further.

Last week, Millie’s best friend and fellow Love Island star Chloe Burrows shared a TikTok of the two girls ordering a Chinese takeaway.

In the background of the clip, a man with a Welsh accent could be heard asking Chloe what drink she wanted, before the 27-year-old went on to imitate the Welsh voice.

“I hear Liam, cheers for the confirmation Chloe!” commented one follower at the time, with another adding: “That is def Liam we have the same accent we’re from the same town, I know a Merthyr accent when I hear one.”

Ryan Tubridy has been opening up about the options for his successor!

The 49-year-old is due to leave his role as host of The Late Late Show at the end of this month.

Since the announcement of his departure, there has been much speculation about who will be taking on the infamous and demanding role. 

Many big names have already ruled themselves out as an option for Ryan’s replacement – but Patrick Kielty is not one of them!

As he attended the Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA) awards last night with his wife Cat Deeley, the 52-year-old comedian was understandably asked about his thoughts on the matter.

The Co. Down man described the Late Late as “one of the greatest shows on the planet.”

“Whoever gets it will be really lucky,” Patrick continued, giving no hints as to whether or not that person will be him.

However, the presenter also remarked that it would not be an easy position to gain, especially after Ryan’s 14 year stint as host.

“Of all the stuff I've read and what people are saying, they have to remember they are big shoes to fill,” Patrick added.

Following Patrick’s comments on the IFTA red carpet last night, Ryan then chose to give his reaction to the rumours.

“Patrick Kielty featuring strongly and firmly in a lot of the papers today, with a suggestion being maybe it’s time for another PK to take over The Late Late Show,” he joked during his radio show on RTÉ Radio 1 earlier this morning.

“Lovely man, lovely fella, and lovely wife, and a good egg all around. So, we’ll see where that all goes shall we,” Ryan added teasingly.

The list for top candidates has narrowed in recent weeks, as fellow presenters such as Tommy Tiernan, Miriam O’Callaghan, Claire Byrne and Sarah McInerney have already taken themselves out of the running.

RTÉ have previously said that they will officially announce Ryan’s replacement this summer. We can’t wait to find out who it will be!

Wes Nelson has been hospitalised after losing his vision and consciousness while at home. 

The former Love Island star, who appeared in the villa in 2018 and came in fourth place with Megan Barton-Hanson, has been preparing to go on tour around the UK and Ireland as he shares a concerning health update.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Wes shared a snap of himself in a hospital bed and dressed in a patient gown as he holds his thumb up.

“Managed to get to my neighbours who took care of me and got me to hospital in the ambulance”.

The Nice To Meet Ya singer then revealed he had multiple tests done and the overall outcome was positive.

“Won't go into detail but we did a bunch of tests and throughout the day and they've have told me I'm all good now”.

Luckily, Nelson closed off by adding, “I feel LOADS better today! Got the green light for TOUR tomorrow”, so concert goers shouldn't worry.

Wes and Megan went their separate ways at the beginning of 2019, just months after their time in the villa.

The 25-year-old's tour will kick off in Glasgow tomorrow, before he heads to Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Dublin and London.

As well as starring in Love Island, Wes appeared on Dancing on Ice, The X Factor: Celebrity, as well as Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

Adam Collard has spoken out about his time in the Love Island villa and the ‘game’ he played in order to stay on the show. 

Adam originally appeared on Love Island in 2018 and then returned in 2022 where he coupled up with Paige Thorne, before their relationship came to an end in October.

Speaking to MailOnline, Adam revealed he chose who he coupled up with as part of a ‘game plan’ so he could stay in the villa for as long as possible.

He admitted, “The thing with Love Island is I'm the only one who is willing to admit it, I would completely choose the right person to stay on the show”.

“That's why I got back on the show in my eyes, they realised I didn't care about anything. We all know the game. It was really hard for me the second time because I could see through everything, it is unbelievable how clear it is the second time”.

Adam then opened up about why he thinks people join the dating show now, and addressed the new rule that meant contestants’ social media accounts couldn’t be used while they were in the villa, meaning they may not get as much of a following online.

“I don't know if I would have said yes the second time if they had said that to me because what is the point”.

“I don't feel sorry for anyone who puts themselves in that situation. Unless you are from one of the early series, the first three series you could come off and have a normalish life but now everyone is going on to strive to be a Molly-Mae”.

Collard continued, “If you stay on there for more than two weeks you are going to be in the public eye, you are going to get trolled, you've got to take the rough with the smooth. You have to be thick skinned because it is horrendous”.

“You are getting a few followers, if you have a business like me it's going to help amplify that and that put you in a better situation and there's going to be loads of really good opportunities afterwards”.

The reality TV star closed off by adding, “So yes, everyone comes on and says I am here to find love and that, yes you kind of are and obviously that is unreal but nobody is daft”.

It has been revealed that a man arrested on suspicion of murdering a Mayo woman was known to her.

Angela Canavan was in her 50s and lived alone at St John’s Terrace in Sligo town, but she originally hailed from Crossmolina in Co Mayo.

Angela’s body was discovered shortly after 8:30pm last Monday, May 1. The mother-of-two and grandmother was found with head injuries. 

After she was discovered and pronounced dead, a forensic examination of her home and a post-mortem examination of her body were carried out.

Angela’s funeral was held on Saturday, May 6 in her native Crossmolina. According to her funeral notice, she is survived by her loving son Nigel and his wife Claire, and her son Keith and his partner Paul, as well as siblings, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The day after her funeral took place, on the morning of May 7, Gardaí confirmed that they had arrested a man on suspicion of Angela’s murder. The man, who is in his 30s, is still being questioned at a Garda station in the North Western Region.

Gardaí have also stated that they will not be releasing the results of Angela’s post-mortem “for operational reasons.”

Gardaí are continuing to investigate all avenues and motives behind Angela’s death with the suspect that was known to her. As per the law, Gardaí only have 24 hours to question the man before deciding if they will charge or release him.

With the investigation into Angela’s murder ongoing, Gardaí have requested for anyone with any relevant information to contact Sligo Garda station on 071 9157000, the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

Jamie Oliver has shared some stunning family photos to mark a very special occasion. 

Jamie and his wife Jools were celebrating their daughter Poppy turning 21 years old over the weekend. 

To commemorate the moment, Jamie took to Instagram to share snaps with his wife and children that are rarely seen in pictures all together at Poppy’s fabulous party.

The celebrity chef captioned the post, “Me and the gang on my daughter Poppy’s 21 st birthday party… What’s a night…Thanks to all that celebrated with us and who helped put the party together big love jamie”.

Many fans of Jamie’s headed to the comments to share how lovely it was to see the family photos.

Poppy’s actual birthday was back in March and to mark the day before her big party, Jamie shared a sweet video from when he and Jools took her home from the hospital and wrote a moving tribute for her.

He penned, “Poppy 21 today woop woop ! what a gift you were and still are 21 today !!! Amazing we’re has that time gone…..you were born into a mad family that loves you dearly….happy birthday I love you so much dad”.

Laura Anderson has spoken out against a claim that she made a ‘dig’ at Gary Lucy.

The former Love Island contestant is currently expecting her first child with her ex-boyfriend Gary. 

Last night, the expectant mum took to Instagram to share her experience of seeing her baby in a 4D scan for the first time. In the caption of her post, Laura teased that her little girl “doesn’t have my nose”, adding the hashtags “#guttted” and “#lucenostrils”.

Some took the caption to mean that Laura was insulting her daughter’s father, and so the reality star has chosen to speak out on the matter.

Earlier this morning, the 34-year-old posted a screenshot of an article which claimed that her words were a ‘thinly veiled dig’ at Gary.

“So fed up of this,” Laura penned alongside the article.

“I’m trying my best to keep everyone else happy during my pregnancy. I have never felt so much stress in my life at what I always imagined would be a very special time,” she confessed. 

Laura then went on to explain the meaning behind her caption. “This comment was said to me by Gary, it’s an ongoing joke in his family which I repeated to be inclusive of him,” she detailed. “It’s an Instagram caption for goodness sake.”

The former Love Island star concluded her message by urging the public to give her space. “I’m honestly at my wits end with the media creating negative narratives towards women who are pregnant! If I wanted to make thinly veiled digs at my ex you’d know about it trust me. So stop fuelling online trolls and give me the peace I deserve!” she exclaimed.

Laura and Gary first met during filming for Celebs Go Dating last year, and subsequently entered into a relationship together. 

Laura announced her pregnancy on February 15, and although Gary was included in the reveal video that she shared, he confirmed later that day that they were no longer dating.

Laura has since insisted that the expectant parents will never get back together, but that they are planning on co-parenting their daughter.

Kaley Cuoco has been opening up about how her boyfriend Tom Pelphrey has been adapting to fatherhood. 

The Big Bang Theory star has revealed that she ‘can’t believe’ how much of a ‘natural’ Tom is to being a new-dad to their newborn daughter Matilda. 

While speaking to People, Kaley discussed her Ozark actor partner’s relationship with their baby girl.

“I cannot believe how natural he is, how much he loves it”, she admitted.

“I mean, when we were in the hospital, he did everything – every diaper, he's the swaddle king. All the nurses said, ‘'Oh my God, you're the best guy swaddler we've ever seen’”.

Kaley went on to say that Tom “just loves” their daughter, who looks just like him, and explained the sweet response Matilda has to hearing her dad’s voice.

The mum-of-one then spoke about being a “kind of stay-at-home mom” and chatted about her and Tom’s parenting style.

“Tom's working and I'm chilling and playing with the baby. I never thought I would have kids, so this is very special. Neither of us thought we would be here”.

Kaley and Tom welcomed their first child into the world together on March 30 of this year. 

When announcing her birth, Cuoco shared a collection of snaps of the new parents and their daughter. 

The 37-year-old captioned the post, “Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle”.

“Thank you to the doctors, nurses, family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief”, she penned before sweetly adding, “@tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you , but I did”.
