Is there any better feeling then having a crisp new bank note at your disposal?

Well, that feeling is about to become all the more frequent, as a brand new fifty euro note arrives in circulation in Ireland and across Europe today. 

The new note, released by The European Central Bank, features some new security measures which makes forgery of notes much more difficult. 

The new security features include a portrait window which becomes transparent when looked at against the light.

The window reveals a portrait of Europa, a figure from Greek mythology, which is visible on both sides of the note, according to the ECB. 

The brand new note is part of the new Europa series, which will be followed by new €100 and €200 bank notes.

While Donald Trump's legacy will surely go down in history, the POTUS is now being immortalised further in a comedy series on the small screen. 

Comedy Central has created a brand new weekly sketch called The President Show, which depicts the President in a late-night talk show.

The series was created by Anthony Atamanuik, a well known Trump impersonator, who also plays the POTUS in the show. 

"The losers dominating late-night are in for a rude awakening when the smartest, handsomest, most winning-est president of all time enters the fray to address the nation," reads the Comedy Central description of the show. 

Anthony's impersonation of President Trump is completely uncanny, and the teaser trailer for the show had us in stitches. 

The President Show premieres on April 27, and we may just have to wait up to watch it.

It’s an extremely busy morning for baby news in celeb land as another star has something to celebrate.

This time it’s our very own Tommy Bowe who has become a dad.

The Irish rugby star took to Instagram last night to share the good news with a sweet picture of his baby girl.

“Little Emma Bowe arrived yesterday morning. We are so in love,” reads Tommy’s caption.

This is the first child for Tommy and his wife, Lucy Whitehouse, who married two years ago in a lavish ceremony.

The couple managed to keep the pregnancy very quiet, with Tommy dodging questions about their plans for children in interviews recently.

The pair met back in 2011 when the 33-year-old was playing for the Wasps in Wales and now live in Belfast.

The couple seem to be enjoying their new life in Belfast, as Tommy told Independent.ie:

"Marriage didn’t change anything between us. We have remained the same people. And Lucy is from near Cardiff, so she’s settled in to Belfast very well because it’s very similar.

"People are very friendly up here and she’s made lots of friends at work, which is what you have to do when you move away."

There’s more celebrity baby news this morning as it’s been revealed that Jesse Eisenberg and his girlfriend, Anna Strout, have welcomed their first child together.

News broke back in October that the pair were expecting their first child and now E! News reveals the pair were spotted out in New York today spending time with their new baby boy.

The couple have kept their relationship very private over the years so it’s no surprise that there was no official announcement made.

The pair started dating way back in 2002 before taking a break in 2012 but Jesse has since made it clear that Anna is the one.

The Social Network star gushed about Anna during an interview with Seventeen magazine back in 2011 saying:

“I find people who want to help other people to be the most interesting. I come from a family of teachers, and my friends are teachers, often times in very difficult school situations.

“My job is so selfish and focused on my own vanity that I like to surround myself with people who are actually helping people throughout their day.”

We’re yet to hear any word on when the little boy was born and if a name has been chosen, but we’re sure the couple are enjoying this incredibly special time with their newborn.

Netflix has been killing it with its amazing range of Original series.

Now, Netflix has developed a series based on Sophia Amoruso’s best selling book, #GIRLBOSS.

The new series focuses on the Nasty Gal founder's rise to retail success, and is set to be a witty and edgy portrayal of Sophia's life.

While Nasty Gal may be under new ownership, Sophia's legacy as documented her book is being immortalised in the series.

Starting off selling thrift store finds on eBay, the entrepreneur quickly finds that there is more to be achieved by selling her own creations, and Nasty Gal is born. 

The show premiers on April 21, and we can't wait to binge watch it!

It’s a big congratulations for Harry Judd as it’s been announced that he and his wife, Izzy, are expecting their second child.

The McFly drummer took to Instagram to share the news with an adorable picture of Izzy and daughter, Lola, holding their tummies, saying:

“Lola, where’s baby?”

Within minutes comments of congratulations started pouring in.

“Beautiful. Congratulations, such amazing news,” read one comment.

Mum Izzy also shared the news on her social media, again with the help of little Lola.

The sweet picture showed Lola holding her mum’s bump, as Izzy shared a glimpse into the struggle she and Harry went through to get pregnant.

“Harry, Lola and I are so happy to share our news,” read the caption.

“After having IVF to Conceive Lola, people used to say to me you’ll probably fall pregnant naturally next time.

“I wondered how it would ever be that simple after all the difficulties we have previously faced. I never believed we would be lucky enough, but whilst writing Dare to Dream, this little miracle happened.

“I want to give others hope that amazing things can happen.”

The exciting news comes two weeks after the couple celebrated another big moment – Lola’s first word.

Harry and Izzy shared an adorable video of little Lola uttering her first word, and we’re sure dad Harry was delighted.

“Lola’s first word. As you can hear, Harry and I got a little over excited,” wrote Izzy in the sweet video of Lola saying “papa”.

Harry and Izzy met back in 2005 when Izzy was a part of the band that travelled with McFly on their concert tour.

The pair were engaged in May 2012 and were married by December that same year.

Just over three years later the couple welcomed their first child, Lola Rose Emma and now look forward to the birth of their second.

Huge congratulations to the growing family at this very special time.

As a child, I was regularly bribed, coaxed and awarded with food.

The stand-offs which took place between my mother and I were not dissimilar to that of a hostage negotiator and a kidnapper.

With her sanity hanging in the balance, she would tentatively approach (sometimes holding my miniature megaphone for effect, sometimes not) and begin listing the various treats I would be provided with if I agreed to start playing by the rules.

And while I'd like to say that this period in my life ended with the development of a conscience, that would be a lie.

With my 30th birthday fast approaching, I am still the type of person who will decide whether an event is worth attending based on the potential food and snack situation.

Just shy of my third decade, I can be practically tranquilised with treats, mollified with the mention of a meal out, and placated with the possibility of a takeaway.

And it doesn't stop there.

I have, on more than one occasion, manufactured a boxset binge session purely to indulge my sweet tooth.

While the television drones on in the background, I can be found appraising my selection of goodies much like a monarch surveying its subjects.

I will sit through any show you care to switch on as long as I have sufficient snacks to keep me going.

Indeed, I have been bribed to sit through series of no interest to me by friends and family who are safe in the knowledge that the advice my mother has imparted will stand them in good stead.

For now, anyway.

Let’s face it, we all know deep down that the scales are not the be all and end all when it comes to measuring our health, but it can be easy to ignore that fact when the numbers start to creep past that ‘ideal’.

In a post which has racked up almost a quarter of a million likes since its upload, P!nk took to Instagram on Saturday to give us all a reminder that those ‘regular standards’ don’t always apply to everyone.

The singer gave birth to her second child last December, but it seems she wasted no time in getting her body back in shape, and yet admits that her progress would fall short of societal ideals.

Posing in her workout gear, the Leave Me Alone singer encouraged her 1.4 million followers to focus on feeling fit and healthy rather than trying to look a certain way.

Sharing the snap, she wrote, “Would you believe I’m 160 pounds and 5’3”? By ‘regular standards’ that makes me obese"
