The celebs were out in force last night to open the festival, and there were more than a few show-stopping dresses on parade.

There is concern across the country for cancer patients this morning, after a warning that hospitals are running low on chemotherapy drugs.

Baxter Healthcare, the only supplier of the drugs, has only been able to provide a limited supply of the product in recent weeks.

Several specialists are readjusting treatments because of the lack of supplies, according to The Irish Independent.

A spokeswoman said they are currently dealing with 'a temporary supply constraint' of compounded chemotherapy products.

These product are provided to many public and private hospitals in Ireland.

'We are doing all we can to restore production capacity as quickly as possible and minimise the impact to patients.'

'We are working with other Baxter compounding units in the UK to identify if any extra capacity can be utilised,' she added.

At last!

Scientists are one step closer to producing a male contraceptive pill and it’s an entirely plant-based remedy.

Researchers at the University of Berkeley have discovered that a compound found naturally in olives, grapes and mangos could be used to produce the world’s first unisex contraception.

The group have identified two chemicals that could work to hinder the sperm’s ability to fertilize the egg.

The natural substitute to hormonal medication could produce the same effect as the morning after pill if taken within five hours of unprotected sex.

What’s more, scientists also revealed that the findings could potentially pave the way for the development of a male contraceptive pill.

According to The Daily Mail, the study’s co-author, Dr Polina Lishko, explained: ‘It is not toxic to sperm cells – they still can move. But they cannot develop this powerful stroke, because this whole activation pathway is shut down.’’

‘’This is a potentially safer morning after pill, regular Pill, and a future male contraceptive. Essentially it is a future version of a unisex contraceptive.’’

The natural alternative is a breakthrough not only in terms of male contraceptives, but also for those women who struggle to take hormonal contraception due to its many side-effects.

Okay, not to alarm anyone, but a Nutella café is about to open and it’s everything you imagined it would be.

There’s just one problem. It’s in Chicago.

But if you think that’s going to st op us from getting way too excited, think again.

The menu is packed with variety of sweet and savoury dishes, most of which are smothered in the delicious hazelnut spread.

Crepes, gelato, waffels and pancakes are just some of the amazing treats on offer and unlike the pop-up Nutella cafés of the past, this one is here to stay.

According to director of operations at Brand Innovation Group, Angela Baird, the architectural design of the cafe is meant “to make you feel like you're actually walking into a jar of Nutella."

Amazing.

The café will open it's doors at 10 a.m. on May 31, and we're praying an Irish version won't be too far behind.

Meet Feminista Jones.

The author, activist and social-worker can often be found using her social media platform to discuss women’s issues, and her latest Tweet has prompted some hilarious responses.

Last Friday, she jokingly challenged her followers "to piss off a man today. Tell him you agree with his compliment of you."

Speaking to BuzzFeed News, Feminista revealed that she felt compelled to talk about the issue in a "tongue-in-cheek" fashion after hearing other women’s stories and experiencing the dynamic in her own life.

"It's not a new idea, but in my own experience when [a man] complimented me and I say, 'I agree,' they get upset."

She added, "It’s the idea that they bestow the compliment on you, and you’re not supposed to be aware of it."

"Generally we’re taught that we’re not supposed to compliment ourselves," she explained.

"When a women does that, she needs to be humble."

After the tweet was posted, Feminista was almost immediately inundated with replies from woman looking to share their own experiences.

However, Jones did acknowledge that this does not apply to all men.

"This is my blanket commentary: Just because you don’t do it or you don’t see it being done, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen" she said.

"When men go, 'Not all men,' they make it about 'I’ve never seen it, I've never done it…so it can’t be true.'”

"I’m saying to listen to what women are saying — try to understand what’s going of."

Getting cash back from your bank for shopping has to be one of the sweetest deals around, and that's exactly what AIB are doing with their AIB Everyday Rewards scheme.

To mark the introduction of the epic rewards programme for its customers, AIB revealed the average Irish adult owns four loyalty or rewards cards, proving that Irish folk want the best deal wherever they can get it.

Not that we're a nation of stinges, after all, who wouldn't want to get a little extra bang for their buck.

Close to 30 per cent of those sampled in the study owned more than five individual loyalty or rewards cards.

The lads are a little less wise to the loyalty card jive, with men being more likely to have one to four cards while most women have more than five.

One way to free up some space in your wallet and avoid carrying around all those rewards cards for different places is to sign up for the AIB Everyday Rewards scheme.

In partnership with Visa, it uses transactional data to serve customers attractive, relevant and simple cashback offers with brands such as Lidl, Topaz, Boots, H&M, Easons, Butlers, Thorntons, GAA and Elverys Sport.

This eliminates the hassle of printing vouchers, entering codes or carrying multiple reward cards.

Launch partners for AIB Everyday Rewards include Lidl, Topaz, Boots, H&M, Easons, Butlers Chocolate Café, Elverys Sports, Parking Tag, Apache Pizza and Enterprise Rent a Car, with new offers made available every week from a wide range of retailers, all matched to customer’s own shopping preferences.
