Bette Midler just won Halloween.

The actress gave us the ultimate throwback last night when she dressed up as her Hocus Pocus character, Winifred.

The 70-year-old was out to attend the Hulaween Party last night at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

Bette recently opened up about the 1993 flick, saying she's baffled as to why it didn't get a spin-off.

“For the life of me, I can’t understand why there’s not a sequel.

“You don’t get to see women doing slapstick too much, and in the movie you can see that we’re having a blast…All the shackles were off…and we were allowed to be as wild as we wanted to be. It was a perfect storm of fun.”

We don't understand either! A sequel NEEDS to be made.

Halloween can be pretty stressful, trying to come up with a really impressive costume.

The thing is, there are so many really easy costumes out there that still look fantastic.

Skeleton

This look is really easy to do, and super creepy.

All you need for this look is your normal makeup, and two pairs of fake eyelashes. OH! and a terrifying stare… 

Deer

This is SUCH a pretty makeup look. You can also use twigs from your garden as antlers, so it's an eco-friendly costume. 

Black cat

This look will take you all of five minutes, and you will be absolutely purrfect. 

Vampire

Literally just add blood to your normal makeup for this look. Simple yet effective.

Emmm… yes please. This simple and gorgeous mermaid tutorial is EVERYTHING.

Laura Whitmore had to bow out gracefully from last week's Strictly Come Dancing due to an ankle injury.

The Bray native will take to the dance floor again tonight but has admitted she's lost a lot of confidence in herself.

She told the Irish Mirror: “I am a really confident person when it comes to presenting on TV but I’ve lost it.

“I feel like I’m not 100% me. When you start the show you’re so out of your depth.

“I felt terrible last Saturday but I’ve given myself a new lease. You can only do your best.

“The support from everyone willing you on makes such a difference," she added.

Stephen Bear has reportedly been punched in the face after he was mugged in a London carpark.

According to The Sun, Bear was attacked by a stranger who stole his watch and bank cards.

A source told the publication: "A man said hello to him and Bear replied as he always does. 

“To start with, the conversation was friendly but suddenly, while they were chatting, the man punched Bear in the face and knocked him onto his back.

"Bear was stunned for a few seconds by the blow, but it was long enough for the guy to take his watch and some bracelets from him. 

“After kicking him in the head, the man was also able to take his debit cards and his wallet.”

We hope he's OK.

A shooting has taken place in Swords in Co. Dublin this evening.

According to the Independent, the incident took place around 7pm where several shots were fired at a car where the man was sitting.

It took place in Rathbeale Crescent estate in the Dublin suburb.

A black Audi was later fund burnt out near the airport, which is believed to be the car used for the shooting.

The Mass Facebook page has been doing the rounds all week, but this post has possibly taken the biscuit.

Kevin RyanFitzgerald took to the Facebook group and posted a parody of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and we have to say, it's brilliant.

"In the west side of Rome born and raised, in the Vatican is where I spent most of my days, chilling out with priests and praying all cool and all saying Hail Marys outside Sunday school, when a couple of prodies who where up to no good, started slagging Jesus in my neighbourhood, I got in one little row and me Ma had a mare, she said you're moving with your aunty and uncle in Kildare."

The post already has 63,000 likes and has been shared over 2,000 times.

She's just finished filming Pretty Little Liars, but it looks like Janel Parish already has a new role to play.

The actress has announced that she's set to play the main role of Jamie Sullivan in A Walk To Remember: The Unauthorised Musical.

While the rest of the PLL cast we're posting messages of goodbye, Janel tweeted, "So this is happening!" to let her fans know the good news.

A Walk To Remember "follows the rite of passage of a jaded, aimless high school senior who falls in love with a guileless young woman he and his friends once scorned. 

"The two develop a powerful and inspirational relationship in which they discover truths that take most people a lifetime to learn."

Congrats Janel, we look forward to seeing you on our screens again!

We're firm lovers of pizza (as you probably know) here in Shemazing HQ, so we're a little bit sceptic about KFC's latest offering.

The fried chicken chain has added Chicken Fried Pizza to its menu and we have to say we're giving it some proper side eye.

The Chizza, as it's called, is a piece of fried chicken smothered in pizza toppings.

Looking at the ads, there's only one version available which has tomato sauce, pepperoni, cheese, green peppers and pineapple on it.

According to Rocket News 24, it's going to debut in Japan in November and if all goes well, will be added to menus all around the world.

Pizza is perfect. Southern fried chicken (with gravy) is perfect. Why can't they just remain separate?!

Congrats are in order for Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins – they have just landed a prime time Saturday TV show.

After all the drama with the Great British Bake Off, where both women quit the show, the duo have been confirmed as hosts of a new TV series called Let's Sing and Dance for Comic Relief.

The ladies seem to be delighted with their new gig and Sue told The Mirror: "I'm thrilled to be co-presenting Let's Sing and Dance for Comic Relief, not least because it will finally show the world why I was voted West Penwith's Krumping Champion."

Mel added: "Since leaving the Royal Ballet twelve years ago, Mel is really looking forward to getting back on her points and showing the brave Comic Relief celebrity dancers how to split leap and ball change."

Even after all the stress they went through with GBBO, it's good to see the ladies still have their humour!

Let’s Sing and Dance for Comic Relief will be on BBC One next year ahead of the UK's Red Nose Day.

Burger King and McDonald's have always been fierce rivals, but the King of the flame grills has just stepped up its game.

Burger King in Queens, New York dressed up as the 'the ghost of McDonald's past' this week to celebrate Halloween, and we just think it's hilarious.

The staff at the franchise draped the whole building in white sheets and cut out holes over the Burger King sing. They then spray painted 'McDonald's' on the sheets.

The sign on BK's marquee read: "BOOOOO. Just kidding. We still flame grill out burgers. Happy Halloween."

The gas staff even continued the joke inside the store:

Whatever you're doing this weekend, make sure you have your transport sorted because it'll be HELL if you get caught out.

Dublin Bus has just released its October Bank Holiday arrangements and there's a few diversions in place.

According to the Dublin Bus website, "The Nitelink service will operate on Friday and Saturday night.  There will be no Nitelink service on Sunday night.

"Please note, clocks go back one hour on Saturday night/Sunday morning. When getting a Nitelink they will depart as per their normal timetable i.e. as if the clocks have not changed.

"The SSE Airtricity Dublin City Marathon 2016 will take place Sunday 30th October. As a result there will be diversions in place from 7pm on Friday 28th October until 6pm Monday 31st October." You can view diversions here.

And for Halloween, "a Sunday timetable will operate on all services on Monday 31st October."
