There was a time when we skipped over the property pages in search of juicier content before we eventually saw the error of our ways.

It turns out NOTHING is as juicy as getting an insight into how the other half live – Think Cribs, but with less rappers.

Poring over the country’s most breathtaking properties has become our new favourite pastime, and while we’d struggle to afford a plant pot in the driveway, that doesn’t stop us from dreaming or crossing our fingers that the Euromillions €15,000,000 jackpot has our name on it.

Join us in salivating over these five properties, won’t you?

Ouragh Shrewsbury Road , Ballsbridge, Dublin 4

If you, unlike us, have €6,500,000 to spare, you may want to check out this little gem on Shrewsbury Road.

Touted as the quintessential Dublin trophy home, this property boasts four floors, six bedrooms, six reception rooms as well as a bar, gym and sauna – Yes, you read that right.

Girls, we give you Ouragh

Glin Castle, Glin, Co. Limerick

We’ve always fancied ourselves as castle dwellers, so we are all OVER this Co Limerick find.

Not only does Glin Castle overlook the Shannon estuary, it also boasts 21 bedrooms and has its origins placed firmly in Irish history.

Dating back to the 13th century and set in 380 acres of parkland, we’d get a thrill just driving past this place.

Ladies, it's Glin Castle

Westport House, Westport, Co Mayo

If €6,500,000 seemed excessive for the previous two properties, you may want to look away now.

Coming in at €10,000,000, Westport House is one of Ireland’s most historic homes and has a library that wouldn’t look out of place in Beauty and the Beast.

With views overlooking the lake, Clew Bay and the Atlantic ocean, the owners of this luxurious gaf would be literally spoiled for choice.

Have a sneak peek at Westport House!

Kilcooley Estate, Thurles, Co. Tipperary

While undoubtedly in need of serious restoration, there's still something about Kilcooley Estate that makes us wish we hadn't closed our Post Office account after the old Communion fund ran dry.

Maybe it's the ornate ceilings, the high stone walls or the fact that there are actual swans on the grounds, but this place has made quite the impression on us.

Ladies, take a look at this Tipp treasure.

Inniscorrig, Coliemore Road, Dalkey, Co. Dublin

Ladies, we’ve saved the best for last.

Inniscorrig, which costs a staggering $10,500,000, is the home we’d like to get our hands on if the Prize Bonds Nana gave us ever come up trumps.

Located on Dublin’s coastline, Inniscorrig has six bedrooms, a cinema room AND a lodge house in case you get sick of the sight of your stunning main gaf.

We’re going to pipe down now and let you see for yourselves….

More and more local authorities in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland are on their way to banning smoking in playgrounds.

The Journal reports that authorities all over the country are moving forward to implement a smoke-free policy in and around areas where children play.

Research reveals that 82 percent of county councils have already implemented the change, with others quickly moving further towards it, says Dr Helen McAvoy, the director of policy at the Institute of Public Health in Ireland has reported.

“This helps to reduce exposure to second hand smoke and to denormalise tobacco use for future generations," she said.

The change comes after smoking in cars with children was banned in January of this year.

"The new law prohibiting smoking in cars came into effect in January 2016 and we would expect that the new legislation will, over time, like the ban on smoking in the workplace support people to change their behaviour," Dr McAvoy said.

Modern Family star, Ariel Winters is a high school graduate!

The actress graduated yesterday from private school, Campbell Hall, and she looked as mature and elegant as always at the ceremony.

Ariel's graduation was held at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA, and she wore a soft pink dress, which hugged her figure in the perfect way, and dyed her hair bright red for the occasion – really accentuating her individual style.

It's actually done…I GRADUATED

She was seen leaving the venue wearing a blue and yellow robe, as well as holding a yellow rose.

In April, the young starlet revealed that she's heading to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to study in September.

She said, "The college process was so long and just really, really insane. But at the end of the day, I'm so happy with UCLA."

But fear not, it won't be the end of acting for her as she's going to continue to star on the silver screen throughout her college life.

Congrats, Ariel!

A huge lump of butter has just been found in Ireland – and it dates back nearly 2000 years.

The prehistoric 10kg 'bog butter' was found by turf-cutter Jack Conway, while working on Emlagh bog in Co Meath last week.

The 'bog butter' has now been given to the National Museum, where the Irish Antiques Division said it was a significant discovery as it was found in the ancient Drakerath area.

The Drakerath area was where 11 townlands and three boundaries of ancient baronies met.

“These bogs in those times were inaccessible, mysterious places,” he said.

“It is at the juncture of three separate kingdoms, and politically it was like a no-man’s-land – that is where it all hangs together," said Andy Halpin of the National Museum.

But most surprising, is the fact that the butter is STILL edible. Top chef, Kevin Thorton has admitted that he tasted the butter already, because bogs used to be the place that farmers would store there food to preserve it.

“Theoretically the stuff is still edible – but we wouldn’t say it’s advisable."

Yep, we think we'll pass on eating it.

The new Mayor of London Sadiq Khan is set to ban ads from London's public transport networks which could promote body shaming.

According to Business Insider UK, the Mayor – who was elected in May – has announced that from next month no advertisements which are "likely to cause pressure to conform to an unrealistic or unhealthy body shape" will appear on the city's buses or tubes.

During his election campaign last year, Khan promised to remove such images from London's public transport lines after more than 70,000 people signed a petition against a Protein World ad which asked: "Are you beach body ready?"

In a press release which was posted to the mayor's website yesterday Khan said: “As the father of two teenage girls, I am extremely concerned about this kind of advertising which can demean people, particularly women, and make them ashamed of their bodies. It is high time it came to an end."

“Nobody should feel pressurised, while they travel on the Tube or bus, into unrealistic expectations surrounding their bodies and I want to send a clear message to the advertising industry about this.”

A spokesperson for Transport for London – the group who will enforce the move – recognised the importance of the ban by acknowledging that commuters cannot avoid the advertising which appears on public transport.

They said: “Advertising on our network is unlike TV, online and print media. Our customers cannot simply switch off or turn a page if an advertisement offends or upsets them."

With so many people being affected by body shaming, we think it's great that the issue is being tackled in such a public way.

It has only just started, yet the latest series of Big Brother has already been a rollercoaster.

Between two housemates leaving, extremely inappropriate behaviour from Marco and Laura, and many revelations about the past lives of the contestants, BB bosses are having a 'crisis talk' today about the future of the latest series of the reality show.

According to The Mirror, the producers of the show have a lot of choices to make, which might include putting new housemates into the mix, creating a new twist, or it has been rumoured, that they might pull the show completely.

Betting agent, William Hill are currently offering 9/4 that the show will be totally scrapped in 2017 – the shortest odds BB has seen since moving to Channel 5.

“Viewing figures are dropping, numbers of complaints are rising and it would appear that BB is running out of ideas,” said Joe Crilly, spokesman for William Hill.

Following the antics of Marco Pierre White and Laura Carter, nearly 300 complaints were made to the show.

Can you see it lasting?

It's the salad bar with the serious following – and now Chopped has branched out from its city centre, Ballsbridge, Baggot St, and Fairview locations to another site in Rathmines.

Suffice to say from now on it will be giving Dublin 6-based folk some incredibly delicious lunch options, but right now it's practically a riot down there.

Why? Well, because at the moment salads are being given out FOR FREE.

The offer extends until lunchtime (1pm) so if you happen to be in the area, you need to elbow your way in pretty much immediately.

After 1pm, all purchases for the rest of the day are a wholly tempting half price.

For anyone who misses out – there is some further good news, however: Tallaght and Sandyford will also be getting their own outlets very soon.

Hurrah for salad!

If anyone has the right to weigh in on a discussion surrounding The Late Late Show , it's the man who brought it to our screens in 1962 and fronted it for the next 37 years, right?

And it doesn't sound like veteran broadcaster, Gay Byrne, is at all happy with talk that the long-running RTÉ show is due a major revamp

Despite ratings being at an all-time low given the rising popularity of RTÉ player, Gay insists it' should be the last thing on the mind of new director general, Dee Forbes.

"I can tell you there would be a lot more important matters on the plate of an incoming RTÉ director general than sorting out The Late Late Show."

"I would be a rich man if I had a penny for every time somebody announced The Late Late Show was on the way out, or in trouble, or going down the plughole," he added.

Reminding those who have recently slammed the quality of the show that little can be done to overhaul its standard template, 81-year-old Gay insisted: "How could RTE revamp a chat show?"

"A chat show is a chat show. It does what it says on the tin," he blasted. "The idea of revamping The Late Late Show is plain ridiculous."

Look, if Uncle Gaybo says it's graaand, then it's graaand.

Suffice to say that breakups are rarely straightforward.

But one disgruntled husband has certainly taken things to the next level – sticking up a load of his wife’s possessions on eBay.

Under the username CalibraSteve, the post reads: "JOB LOT OF ALL OF MY VILE CHEATING EX WIFE'S CLOTHES AND POSSESSIONS."

He furthermore reveals that he has already successfully offered up the couple's Smart Roadaster car – a sale which now has bids of some £1,480 (€1,865) –leading him to post up further items for immediate disposal.

Explaining that his “evil cheating wife couldn't be arsed to collect” the things from their home following their split, he adds: “This whole endeavour was all about me ridding myself of the cheating slime of a woman I'm now proud to a call my ex wife and me getting some closure.

“I was going to burn all of these possessions but I have decided to just sell the whole lot as one complete job lot. It will all go to the highest bidder, nothing will be sold separately!”

On offer is “a heap” of clothes (most of which are a size 10-12), and “some electrical bits”.

He goes on to state: “I want rid of this s*** as it's taking up vital room I could be using to store booze and porn.

“There are designer dresses she wore on our honeymoon which I paid a fortune for, shoes, lots of shoes but apparently since the rotten cow ‘found herself’ she decided she doesn't want material things,” he explains.

“There's some jewellery but I've already taken the gold and expensive stuff to our local jeweller who proceeded to rip me off whilst smiling at me.

“But it's ok cos now I can afford a heap of cheap scotch.”

The Shropshire-based man concludes: “Please help me clear out this pile of utter c**p. Cash on collection only please.”

The lot has now amounted to some £225 (€285) from a total of close-to 40 bids. It will wrap up on June 23.

It’s no secret that Charlotte Crosby has had a difficult time over last month with the revelation of her ectopic pregnancy and shock exit from Geordie Shore, so we’re delighted to hear the star is back making plans for the future.

In an interview with OK! Charlotte revealed that she’d love to follow in Vicky Pattison’s footsteps and enter the I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! jungle.

But while admitting that being part of the show would be “absolutely amazing”, she’s not sure she’d be able to cope with the show’s famous challenges as well as her former co-star did.

She said: “I don't think I'd do as well in the tasks as what Vicky did man…it was like nothing phased her.”

“Like I couldn't be travelling over them snakes as if it's just a b****y stick – I’d be full on screaming.”

And speaking of challenges, Charlotte – who recently arrived in Sydney- told OK! that she has a new screening process in mind for any potential love interests.

“I think I'll have a series of tests for any future boyfriends, I think after this phone call I'm gonna write them all down like tricky little tests I can give each one to see if they'll pass them.”

“Say if I'm away and I'm meant to be going to see them and I'm like I can't do it, I've got to be in London, see if they're like, 'Oh I'll come to London’, stupid little things like that.”

Given her complicated on-screen relationship with Gary Beadle, we think Charlotte's new plan sounds like a very good idea.

Top Irish model Roz Purcell has revealed that her sister, Rachel, is battling with leukaemia.

Roz currently lives with her older sister in the city centre and admitted that she adopted her dog, Wilko, as it was suggested a pet might help with Rachel's illness.

According to the Irish Independent, the model's big sis was diagnosed earlier this year: “When my sister Rachel was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia earlier this year, one of the things she was advised to do was to keep her stress levels down, and it was suggested to us that we get a dog.

“Rachel and I live together in Dublin, so it made sense because we love dogs and had wanted one for a while,” she said.

Roz also admitted that Wilko has definitely helped Rachel to be more active throughout the day and at weekends.

"Having Wilko has helped Rachel so much because having a pet there really encourages you to go out every day walking.

“CML is a long term illness, but Rachel is very positive about it and has been reaching health milestones since her diagnosis in January," Roz added.
