We all know what it's like to feel super-awks on a night out, but at least the moments where we look like a spare t*t at a wedding aren't caught on camera for millions to see like poor Demi Lovato this week.

Despite looking like a million dollars and rocking this year's Met Gala theme to the max, the former Disney star admitted that she felt completely out of place at the New York event, and shared an image to explain exactly why.

Taking to Instagram last night, the 23-year-old singer uploaded a picture of Nicki Minaj throwing the star some serious shade as she approached to get in a photo on the red carpet.

Commenting on the moment, the Heart Attack singer wrote: "This picture pretty much summed up my first and probably last met' before hashtagging the words 'cool' 'so f*cking awkward'. 'not for me', 'sweatpants', 'forensic files' and 'whats good'.

Demi later edited the post and added: "P.S. some of y'all need to learn how to take a joke.. I'm obviously laughing at the fact that 1. I look incredibly awkward and 2. That the shade being thrown in this picture actually gives me life."

In an effort to show that they have Demi's back on this one, one fan went to town on the Anaconda singer, writing: "Nicki is just f*cking ill-mannered, don't pay attention to that ugly b*tch, because Demi looks stunning."

Oooh, we can't wait to see how this one pans out.

If you are, or ever have been, in a long-term relationship you'll know that there eventually comes a point when you and your other half actually need to pencil in some 'us-time' instead of letting it just happen naturally.

It's no big deal really, but it definitely helps if everyone is on the same page when it comes to the timing of your romantic endeavours, so when Pink recently revealed that she and her partner of ten years still struggle on this front, we KNEW we were in good company.

Chatting to Ellen, the Just Like Fire singer admitted that she and Carey most recently argued because he faceplanted after the singer set about creating a romantic night for both of them.

Recalling the scene for Ellen and her audience, the 36-year-old singer said: "The other night I said, 'Are you going to stay up tonight?'"

"And he said, 'I would like to.' I said, 'I don't really know what that means." she recalled. "Should I light candles and open wine and put on a show? Like, are we going big here? Or are you going to fall asleep again?'"

The star then admitted that she created the perfect romantic setting only to realise Carey hadn't managed to stay awake for it – something all of us have lived through, right ladies?
