If we had one complaint about the weepy romantic blockbuster that is The Notebook, it's that we never got to see any more of Noah and Allie's story after they finally got together.

Yes, of course we meet them again in their final days on earth, but what about everything that happened in between? Their marriage, their kids, their jobs… it's all a mystery.

Now though, that mystery is about to be solved with a new series. US TV network The CW is currently developing a show based on the 2004 sleeper hit, and it promises to fill in the blanks for us all.

The new project will "follow the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie, at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina," according to The CW.

In the words of Noah himself:

While we won't get to see Ryan Gosling getting drenched in the rain as he smooches Rachel McAdams, we're sure whoever does step in to take on the roles will be equally charming (and hopefully as handsome).

Author Nicholas Sparks, who wrote the bestselling book behind the film, will be an executive producer on the series, which is currently in development but has no start date as yet.

As for the poignant end to Allie and Noah's story which sees Rachel McAdam's character end up in a nursing home, the TV network behind say the series most likely won't touch on that…. but they don't know for certain.

"I don’t believe we’re going to see the older couple—what they become,” The CW president Mark Pedowitz told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Los Angeles. “But things change [in development]."

Whatever way it works out, we will definitely be giving this new show a look.

'Once a cheater, always a cheater' may be little more than a line from Friends to you, but it turns out this is actually quite accurate.

The sad fact of it is as you grow up you realise that a lot of people cheat and get cheated on in relationships.

If you have cheated or have been cheated on, it's probably worth noting this statistic. Once someone cheats, they are 3.5 times more likely to do it again.

These figures are the result of research student Kayle Knopp from the University of Denver. She examined the relationships of 484 unmarried people who were ranging from 18-34 years old.

Kayle presented her findings at the annual American Psychological Convention in Washington and explained that not only are those who cheat more likely to cheat again, but people who have been cheated on, are more likely to a victim of adultery again.

She advises that relationship professionals need to better coach people to learn from negative behaviour and move on from it so it doesn't effect future relationships.

And no, 'We were on a break' does not excuse your actions!

Yesterday saw the official launch of the Rose of Tralee with a photo shoot involving all of the contestants and Daithí O' Sé himself. Unfortunately things didn't end to well for poor Daithí.

In an attempt to create an absolutely gas photo of the roses holding Daithí up, they somehow lost their grip and the presenter landed on his backside.

We feel a bit bad for him, but we can't help absolutely laugh our heads off watching the clip, as did the rest of the country when it was on the nine o' clock news on RTÉ last night.

But it seems Daithí might not have taken the fall too badly, earlier in the day in an interview with The Sun, he said: "If you do make a boo-boo, who cares? Actually, the people at home kind of like it, anyway! It's a bit of fun."

Settling into a new place is difficult enough without being made to feel unwelcome, and 12-year-old Lilly McFadden has no time for that kind of negativity.

Lilly's mum Kerry Katona recently moved her family to a new home in Crowborough, East Sussex, after abandoning her former neighbourhood of Oxfordshire for fear her house there was haunted.

However the move hasn't gone very smoothly so far, with many locals claiming on social media that Kerry's presence will "lower the tone" of the upmarket area and even serve to "drive down" prices.

After hearing about the negative reaction online, Kerry's 12-year-old daughter Lilly decided it was time to have her say.

Taking to Twitter last night to post an open letter to Crowborough residents, she made her views clear.

"Dear Crowborough, it's Lilly here one of the newest locals," she wrote.

"I'm excited to meet you all apart from a little hate going round please remember everyone who is hiding behind screens typing hurtful words you are not just slagging off my mum but her children too!"

She continued: "Except I would love to thank everyone else in my new village for standing up for us all so excited to meet you all and know that once you know us and my mum we'll all get on."

Lilly is the second of Kerry's four children, alongside 13-year-old Molly, eight-year-old Heidi, seven-year-old Max and one-year-old Dylan.

Kerry herself took a more subtle (and sarcastic?) approach, writing her own message on Twitter which read, "Would like to say a big hello and a big thank you to all the lovely people in my new town for such a warm welcome" followed by two kiss emojis.

In response to Lilly's open letter, the mum-of-five wrote, "aww wow my baby girl, love you too the moon and back again xxx."

The family have moved into their area along with Kerry's husband George Kay, following recent rumours the couple had split up. Two weeks ago George was seen arriving at the house with a "tonne of luggage" suggesting all was well again with the pair.

Model and food blogger Chrissy Teigen is well known for her stunning red-carpet looks, her amazing dishes she whips up in the kitchen and being quite outspoken on social media.

But her latest comment has gotten her in a little bit of trouble with fans who think she might be "promoting eating disorders".

When speaking to Delish recently, Chrissy said "I lick off the nacho cheese seasoning and put the chips back in the bag, you still get all the flavour, not all the carbs!"

Fans immediately hit back for this comment and Chrissy really isn't happy about it the negative reaction. She took to Twitter to say, "I can't believe i have to address this but my quote about licking the seasoning off Doritos isn't 'promoting eating disorders' it's a hobby"

Her annoyance was extremely clear when she explained that she "wasn't honestly saying licking the seasoning off Doritos is my idea of diet, you morons. It was in the context of 'it's a gross thing i do and i am disgusting but hey it's low carb HA HA' man social media you are the death of me!"

But before she would face anymore fan backlash she set the record straight saying: "sorry. you all aren't morons. just the people who seriously think i go on doritos seasoning diets. the rest of you are my everything."

Chrissy was speaking to the Delish website about her eating habits and admitted that although she's a swimwear model, she eats fast food a few times a week.

She said "when I cook everything is organic and very clean; I'm meticulous and kind of insane about it. But sometimes you just want a Doritos Locos Taco"

Queso fucking good

Sad news for animal lovers and movie fans alike today as it's been confirmed that Uggie the dog has passed away aged 13.

The adorable Jack Russell terrier was put down earlier this month in Los Angeles after battling a prostate tumour. His trainer/owner Omar Van Mueller confirmed the news to TMZ and said that it had been time to put him out of his suffering after an "especially difficult" final few weeks.

Little Uggie was best known for his role in The Artist, the 2011 Oscar-winning silent film about 1920s matinee idol George Valentin.

Uggie's scene-stealing role in the film garnered him worldwide recognition and adoration, and earned him his first prestigious award, the Palm Dog at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.

Speaking about Uggie's star quality, Omar said a lot of it was down to his relaxed and fearless attitude. "One of the most important thing[s] is that he was not afraid of things. That is what makes or breaks a dog in the movies, whether they are afraid of lights, and noises and being on sets," he explained in an interview in 2012.

In 2012, Uggie became the first ever dog to leave his pawprints at Graumann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, joining the ranks of celebrities like John Wayne, Julie Andrews, Ava Gardner, Marilyn Monroe and hundreds more.

Also on Uggie's stellar acting CV is 2011's Water for Elephants, starring Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz and Robert Pattinson.

The sweet pooch almost had a very different life story, however. If it wasn't for Omar, Uggie would have ended up in the pound, having been rejected by his original trainers for being "too wild," according to his IMDb profile.

RIP, Uggie.

We were really hoping that the entire cast of Friends still hung out together in coffee shops and each other's apartments, but the fact that some of the lead cast members were not invited to Jennifer Aniston's wedding shows otherwise.

Jennifer got married to Justin Theroux at her home last Wednesday in front of 70 guests, but Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer were MIA.

Matthew and Matt confirmed on Monday that they were not invited to their co-star's wedding and it seems they didn't even know it was happening.

Matthew, who played Chandler for ten years, told Entertainment Tonight "I was surprised, I didn't know about it." But despite not receiving an invite he went on to say that he was "very happy for them."

As for Matt LeBlanc, he also expressed his well-wishes for his former co-star saying "I wasn't there, so I wish her the best."

However it seems the girls from the television show were reunited as Matt explained that "The girls were there. You've got to have the girls there."

Despite the invite snub, there are no hard feelings between former colleagues, as the guys said the wedding reception "was small", hence why Joey, Chandler and Ross were not there to complete the Central Perk gang.

"Everybody is okay," said Matt, giving a shout out to his pals Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow.

Although the actors were not invited, the wedding was not short of several A-list celebrities. Orlando Bloom, Chelsea Handler, Tobey Maguire and Howard Stern were all in attendance, with Jimmy Kimmel officiating the ceremony.

Ed Sheeran has long been a fan of large and colourful tattoos, but his latest one has definitely caused a few gasps of disbelief among fans.

The Thinking Out Loud singer took to Instagram yesterday to show off his new ink, which he says is only "halfway" done. What has he gone for this time? A giant lion's head… right in the centre of his chest.

Halfway and ouch

A photo posted by @teddysphotos on

This addition to his collection has us thinking Ed might be aiming for a full body tattoo sleeve somewhere down the line.

Some politically minded commenters suggested Ed's new ink could be a tribute to Cecil, the lion whose killing by dentist Walter Palmer caused global outrage, but Ed has confirmed that's not the case. Speaking to the BBC a few weeks back, the singer said he had chosen a lion's head – the England football team's logo – to commemorate his trio of sold-out gigs at Wembley Stadium.

"Originally I was going to get the floor plan tattooed on my side, but that seemed a bit ridiculous," he explained.

This won't be the first time Ed has chosen a tattoo design based on a meaningful time in his life, of course.

Other tatts in his huge collection include a teddy bear (his childhood nickname was 'Teddy'), Damien Rice’s signature (taken from 11-year-old Ed's autograph book), a snow flake (to mark his 2012 tour with Snow Patrol), the word ‘Red’ (to commemorate his time on Taylor Swift's Red tour) and jigsaw puzzle pieces (his close friends have corresponding pieces on their own arms).

We can't wait to see Ed's new inking all finished!

He set tongues wagging when he liked a week-old sexy snap of Kylie Jenner – and then turned up to her birthday bash in West Hollywood on Sunday evening.

But Zayn Malik is certainly keeping his options open. Not only was he reportedly making a beeline for older sis Kendall, 19, at Kylie's 18th celebrations, but the former One Direction singer now has his eye on another major Hollywood starlet… namely, Selena Gomez.

Yes, yesterday he made sure to follow her on Twitter; considering the Texan posts plenty of her own sultry pics, she'll no doubt be right up newly-single Zayn's street.

Actually, we reckon the 23-year-old singer and actress would be a GREAT match for Zayn, 22, but the fans' reaction was a mixed bag of the good, bad, and ugly.

Of course, Mr Malik reportedly dumped fiancee Perrie Edwards via text at the end of July. Meanwhile, Ms Gomez and superstar singer Justin Bieber have seemingly been an on-off stable for years.

Pretty only thing that could make this situation better? Perrie and The Biebs hooking up before the week is out.

Hey! Stranger things have happened, we say…

Has Facebook asked you for your number yet?

If you thought the only way to get rid of that annoying notification was to submit your digits then think again.

A British software engineer has discovered that by adding their number to the site, people are making it easier for others to find and share their information online.

Reza Moaiandin used a coding script to generate every possible phone number in the U.S, Canada and the U.K. He then sent millions of the number to Facebook’s app-building programme.

In return he was able to then receive millions of personal profiles completely unblocked.

Any data that Facebook users have made viewable by the public was accessible to Reza whether he was friends with them or not, or even through friends of friends.

Some of this personal data included not only individual’s phone numbers but also their addresses, birthdays and relationship statuses.

He told the Mail Online: 'With this security loophole, a person with the right knowledge can harvest the non-private details of the users who allow public access to their phone numbers, enabling the harvester to then use or sell on the user details.”

Facebook then told him that they do not consider this a “security vulnerability” as they have controls in place to “monitor and mitigate abuse”.

Ultimately it appears the responsibility always lies with the user. We just know that we’ll be keeping some things to ourselves.

Can you imagine if that questionable ex from your past managed to get your new number? Nope. No thank you.

Ice-cream lovers of Ireland can celebrate tonight as it has been announced the much-loved American chain Baskin-Robbins will be opening shops across the nation.

The specialty ice-cream chain, is owned by the same people as Dunkin Donuts, so you know it’s going to have some incredible flavours for you to choose from. We have our eyes on the 'Hokey Pokey'; white chocolate ice cream with crunchy honeycomb candy pieces and a caramel ribbon.

The brand is seeking to improve their presence in Europe and the Irish Times reports that possible locations include Dublin, Cork, Waterford/Wexford and Belfast. Initially.

Meaning there could be a shop coming to your neighbourhood before you know it! Amazing.

Vice President of international development for the brand Jeremy Vitaro said about the news:

“We feel our value proposition – high-quality ice cream, ice cream cakes and frozen beverages, served in a friendly environment and at a great value – will resonate well with consumers throughout Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland.”

Ice-cream cakes? Yes. That is a phrase which certainly resonates with us.

Baskin Robbins are responsible for the creation of more than 1,200 ice cream flavours. We honestly can’t wait to try them all. Every single one.

Founded in 1945 there are now close to 8,000 Baskin Robbins shops in almost 50 different countries. Now Ireland gets to be one of them. Yay!

We’d have thought a whole heap of graduates and fashionistas-in-the-making would give up their Hermes bag to nab an internship with The Row.

But it seems that one disgruntled former employee is less than happy with her lot.

Indeed, Shahista Lalani is suing Dualstar, the parent company run by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen which also oversees The Row – for wage theft.

Now a designer herself, Shahista also reckons that around 40 past and present interns are in her position: overpaid and underworked.

A graduate of the prestigious Parsons School Of Design in Manhattan, she worked under The Row’s head technical designer for five months.

“She was very demanding,” Ms Lalani recalled. “I was doing the work of three interns. I was talking to her all day, all night. Emails at nighttime for the next day, like 10pm.”

Ms Lalani even claimed she was hospitalised for dehydration because of the job’s demands: the 29-year-old stated that she worked in 38C New York summer heat, carrying “like 50lbs worth of trench coats”.

The Canadian native also said she put in 50-hour weeks “inputting data into spreadsheets, making tech sheets, running personal errands for paid employees, organising materials, photocopying, sewing, pattern cutting, among other related duties”.

“You’re like an employee, except you’re not getting paid. They’re kind of mean to you.

“Other interns have cried. I’d see a lot of kids crying doing coffee runs, photocopying stuff,” Ms Lalani furthermore claimed.

And while she never worked directly for the Olsens, both 29, she said she saw them occasionally at meetings.

“They’re really nice people,” she said. “They were never mean to anyone. They’re business people.”

Former child-stars the Olsens launched The Row, named as an homage to the precision of Savile Row tailoring, in 2004 with a simple white t-shirt.

The label now turns over tens of millions annually creating uber-expensive, high-end clothing and accessories.
