Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher learnt the hard way that you just DON'T mess with Ed Sheeran, after he made a throwaway comment about the singer earlier this month.

Speaking to music magazine NME, Noel branded Ed's music as "polished pop," adding, "I don’t think I can live in a world where [Sheeran playing Wembley] is even possible." Ouch!

Ed was quick to respond with a tongue-in-cheek message on Twitter to put Noel in his place:

Now though, the Thinking Out Loud singer has revealed that he also contacted Noel directly to get some mischievous revenge. "I texted him because I have his number and asked him if he’d like some tickets," the singer told Radio 2. "He wrote back, ‘You cheeky so and so. My daughter would love some.'"

See, even Noel can't resist Ed's charms!

Luckily the Oasis star's comments won't result in a lifelong feud, as Ed says he understands that these things have to happen. "He’s always going to be the guy who’s outspoken,” he said. “I wasn’t offended. I found it quite cool to be in his interview."

The red-haired singer added that every celebrity needs a certain level of criticism to stay down to earth. "“I get a lot of stick from press and people but it’s good to get stick,” he said. “If you speak to anyone from Adele to Chris Martin, they would say they are grounded cos they get a hiding from the press."

We're not sure we'd have taken things quite so well, but kudos to Ed!

Actress Margot Robbie has supposedly been in a relationship for the last seven months, but it certainly didn't seem that way over the weekend.

The Wolf of Wall Street star was spotted getting very cosy with actor Alexander Skarsgard during a recent event at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, where Margot is promoting her upcoming film Z for Zachariah.

The pair met on the set of Tarzan, which comes out next year, but onlookers said they definitely looked like more than just co-stars during a night of partying on Friday.

Margot and Alexander were seen sitting together at a 10AK Tinder party looking seriously cosy. "They were there late-night holding hands. Margot and Alexander definitely looked like a couple," an eyewitness told E! News. "They were very touchy-feely and at one point were full on kissing."

Despite the apparent PDA on Friday, Margot has been seeing film director Tom Ackerley for around seven months, since the pair met together on the set of Suite Francois.

No reports of a split have emerged – in fact the couple even holidayed in Margot's native Australia together over the festive season, with Tom spending Christmas at Margot's family home in Queensland followed by two weeks of touring the Gold Coast.

Although Margot kept quiet about the trip on her own social media accounts, Tom posted a number of pictures on Instagram throughout his visit.

For his sake we really hope the reports of Margot's cheating are untrue!

The 21st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place last night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and the stars were out in force. Although the red carpet looks were all a little safer than at the Golden Globes earlier this month, there were some great choices all the same.

As with any awards show though, not everyone got it right!

Here's our pick of this year's best and worst red carpet looks…

The Best

1. Keira Knightley
After her Golden Globes Victorian-style disaster, Keira Knightley showed that she can still rock maternity style with a stunning vibrant purple number from Erdem. Although the actress joked that her waist has "disappeared" since she became pregnant, we reckon she looks as dainty as ever!

2. Emma Stone
Emma's Dior Haute Couture tuxedo dress may have been a hazard for poor Naomi Watts, but we can't deny that she still looked downright fabulous!

3. Emmy Rossum
This sparkling Giorgio Armani dress was a total win for Emmy… we have some serious red carpet envy right now!

4. Lupita Nyong'o
Although there was a somewhat mixed reaction to Lupita's boldly printed Elie Saab dress, we reckon she rocked it. There's such a lack of prints and patterns on the red carpet so this was a refreshing change.

The worst

1. Kelly Macdonald
There's nothing wrong with this dress in theory, but it would be more suitable for a debs than a red carpet event we reckon! Looks like the Boardwalk Empire actress wasn't too bothered about making a big impression…

2. Amanda Peet
Amanda's J. Mendel dress was just a little bland for the red carpet, and that lavender colour seriously washes out her English Rose complexion.

3. Rashida Jones
Beach holiday dress? Yes. Red carpet dress? No.

4. Rosamund Pike
This dress might be Dior but it made poor Rosamund look seriously frumpy. Did it have to be so… bulky?!

Yoga is a great way to relax the mind, tone up and loosen your muscles.

With so many kinds to choose from though, trying to decide on the right class can be a little daunting. Before you sign up, check out our guide to picking the form of yoga that’s best for you!

If you want… a gentle, relaxing yoga session that’ll leave you feeling calm and content
Why not try… Hatha or Iyengar yoga

These slower-paced forms of yoga are perfect for beginners. Hatha refers to any type of yoga where poses are straightforward and the pace is gentle and unhurried. Iyengar yoga focuses on alignment, and each pose is taught with lots of attention to detail. An Iyengar class may feel slow-paced and serious, but it’s great way to learn breathing techniques and to get used to certain poses before trying out other types of yoga.

If you want… an energetic yoga session that’ll tire you out and clear your head
Why not try… Vinyasa Flow or Power yoga

Vinyasa and power are perfect for heating up and loosening the muscles through constant movement. Your first class may be a little overwhelming but as you get used to the poses you will fall into step with the fast pace. The best part? Your mind will be so focused on working through the poses that you won’t have time to think about anything else. Instant relaxation!

If you want… a seriously tough workout that’ll get you sweating
Why not try… Ashtanga or Bikram yoga

These are two of the most physically demanding types of yoga, so a certain level of fitness is expected. If you feel your muscles are stiff, try a few Hatha classes first to loosen you up. Both Ashtanga and Bikram consist of strict sets of poses and the transition between poses can be faced paced. If you’re really looking to detoxify, go for Bikram – it’s performed in a heated room with 40% humidity.

If you want… to de-stress, work on mindfulness and soothe your nervous system
Why not try… Restorative yoga

Restorative yoga takes a very slow pace, with each posture supported by blankets, blocks and other tools. Each pose is held for several minutes at a time, giving both mind and body time to settle and be fully present in the moment. A great way to combine meditation and relaxation, and a good complement to other more active yoga practices.

Well, you might have missed out on the chance to see Ed Sheeran's play at Whelan's over the weekend, but we've found something to cheer you up.

Or terrify you, as the case may be.

Who knew an upside-down chin could be so freaky?! We have to admit though, it does look quite like Ed!

We'll never listen to Thinking Out Loud the same way again…

After some seriously bleak weather conditions earlier this month, we were all starting to breathe easy again, but of course Mother Nature wasn't going to let little old Ireland off that easily!

Met Eireann have just released another grim weather forecast for this week, announcing that snow, ice and "bitterly cold" conditions can be expected from Wednesday night. We won't put that winter jacket into storage just yet, so.

"It will be windy with frequent wintry showers giving falls of sleet and snow, and accumulations of several centimetres of snow are likely in many areas, particularly in the North and West," said Met Éireann this morning.

Even if your area isn't affected by snowfall, people all over the country are still advised to prepare for low to freezing temperatures, as well as a strong possibility of frost and ice.

The wintery temperatures are expected to continue next weekend too, with "severe frosts and icy roads by night" and "daytime temperatures 4 to 6 degrees at best."

Just when we thought spring was on the way!

Emma Stone's amazing Dior Haute Couture tuxedo dress may have won in the style stakes at last night's SAG Awards, but it caused her more than a little embarrassment, too!

The actress took to the stage along with her Birdman co-stars to accept the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, but didn't think to tuck in the black net train of her dress. When fellow star Naomi Watts walked up to the microphone, things went a bit pear-shaped…

While we do of course feel sorry for poor Naomi after that Jennifer Lawrence-style trip, it's Emma's face that is winning the internet this morning:

We've seen that expression somewhere before…

At least Emma can rest easy in the knowledge that she looked seriously gorgeous in the offending dress!

What a beaut!

Actor Zach Galifianakis is certainly taking his New Year's resolutions seriously!

The star of The Hangover was looking dramatically slimmer at last night's Screen Actors' Guild Awards in Los Angeles, so much so that he looked almost nothing like his former self – especially without his signature beard! Having skipped the red carpet, it was only during the ceremony that viewers noticed his weight loss.

The actor showed he hadn't lost his funny side though, playing up to the cameras during the ceremony's opening sequence. While other actors gushed about their craft and the dedication it takes to become a star, Zach turned to the camera and simply said, "I'm Zach Galifianakis… I'm an actor."

Thanks for clearing that one up, Zach!

The 45-year-old first showed off a noticeably slimmer figure back in October at the New York Film Festival, looking dapper in a grey suit:

Speaking about his choice to drop the pounds, Zach said his weight loss was mainly to do with cutting out alcohol. "I stopped drinking and I just kind of put the weight off…I was having a lot of vodka with sausage…delicious but bad for you,” he told Conan O'Brien last year. "I was getting into too much trouble with the drinking, so I just kind of stopped."

Well done, Zach!

With so many different beauty products on the market, each for a different purpose or a different skn type, it can be daunting trying to work out what's right and wrong for you. Are you using the right day cream? Is that primer necessary? How much mascara is too much?

But some of the most common beauty mistakes are simpler than you might think. Here are a few that most of us make on a regular basis and that are easy bad habits to kick!

1. Forgetting to clean your brushes regularly
It's one of the most boring beauty chores, but cleaning your brushes is so important for keeping your skin clear and ensuring your beauty tools do the best job they can. Leaving leftover product on brushes means your skin is more likely to become irritated and break out – never good. Overloading your brushes with different pigment also makes it more difficult to apply your make-up precisely. Try to clean your brushes at least once a week using lukewarm water and a gentle shampoo.

2. Testing foundation on the back of your hand
Our faces and hands receive different amounts of sun exposure, so they are generally different tones. Rather than comparing foundation shades by applying them to the back of your hand, try testing them on your jawline instead.

3. Not taking your make-up off every night
Sure, your make-up will wash off just fine in the shower tomorrow morning, but sleeping in it tonight is still a very bad idea for your poor skin. Even if you're not prone to breakouts, sleeping with your face on causes make-up particles to settle in your pores, enlarging them over time. The key to looking youthful no matter what your age? Start looking after your skin now!

4. Wearing too much foundation
One of the most common mistakes us Irish ladies make is to cake our entire face in foundation even if we only have uneven skin tone on certain parts of our face. Avoid the "orange mask" look and only use foundation on key areas like your T-zone – as long as your foundation is well matched to your skin tone you don't need to apply it all over!

5. Not applying concealer properly
Rather than just swiping concealer under the eyes, apply it in an upside-down triangle with the point touching the apple of each cheek. This reflects light upward, brightening those dark under-eye circles. Stop concealer from fading by setting it with a small amount of translucent powder.

Keen to marry his fiancee Sophie Hunter before she gives birth this summer, Benedict Cumberbatch has sent friends and family emails detailing his wedding plans.

Deciding to go all 21st century on us, the Sherlock star chose to email the invites instead of using good, old-fashioned snail mail because apparently, "time is of the essence."

The Imitation Game star and his director fiancee are said to be overjoyed planning their special day, with an insider revealing: "They're planning the perfect day. Life couldn't be much better for them at the moment."

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, a source said that a few people were taken aback at the talented couple's decision to celebrate their wedding before the arrival of their much-anticipated first-born.

Commenting on the couple's choice, the insider said: "It's shocked a few people but they want their special day to happen before they have their baby."

Well, we wish them all the best with their plans!

For any fans out there of Mrs.Doubtfire (and frankly, who isn't one?!), we have some pretty amazing news for you!

It has been announced that the 1993 smash hit comedy is being turned into a musical! We know, we squealed too.

Commenting on the project, Oscar- winnning composer Alan Menken has said: "It's going very well. It's in its early stages and that's probably all I can say!"

Alan is collaborating with David Zippel, who is currently working on lyrics for the production's songs, and went on to admit: "We're really enjoying working on it."

This is very welcome news following the tragic death of Robin Williams last year who starred as the Scottish nanny desperate to spend time with his family.

We can't wait for it to hit theatres!
