Irish people love complaining. It’s a fact. Here are some of our favourite things to get mad about:

1. The weather forecast
“Ah sure, they said it was going to be sunny and I got lashed on, would they ever make up their mind”. The Irish have a really bad relationship with weather forecasters. Unless they bring good news of course.

Where do you start with the bus?! They are either always late or always early and take the most ridiculous route imaginable. It is also the most unsociable environment ever, and on a warm day it feels like a sauna where everyone’s body odour sort of mushes into one.

It doesn’t matter who is in office, we will always complain about how they’re ruining the country, even in good times. Our Taoiseach could be Dustin the Turkey, sure it would be funny for a few weeks, but after that we would complain about how we voted in a Turkey.

They all think that they’re Irish in someway and us Irish are sick of them saying: “Top of the morning to you” and “St.Pattys Days.” They think we’re leprechauns and that we all have ginger hair.

Ireland is divided on Bono. Half the country love him, the other half are jealous he doesn’t have to pay taxes.

“Ah sure, they’re only voting for each other for God’s sake, we only have the Brits.” We have won it 7 times and we’re still complaining about The Eurovision. Ireland doesn’t do wacky, so we throw everything at them: ginger twins, blonde twins, a turkey… Anything!

We all wonder the same thing when comes it comes to Louis Walsh – how on earth he got on TV. In all fairness, for someone who looks like a failed fashion stylist he did pretty well for himself.

People young and old across the country have a united hatred for The Late Late Show presenter. “Ah no I don’t like him, sure look at him, he is so skinny that has to be unhealthy”. We still haven’t fully gotten over the loss of Ireland’s sweetheart Gay Byrne.

Anytime there is a GAA match on we will always have a reason to complain. We complain when the ref keeps giving frees and then when he lets everything go. “Jaysus, they’re not a bunch as pansies, it isn’t soccer” or “Come one Ref!! he was pulling his shirt for feck sake”. We can never quite make up our mind.

“Sure, they win it every year for god sake”. Everyone around the country rejoiced last years when someone other than Kilkenny won the Mcarthy Cup. Clare were heroes  for a month when they toppled Kilkenny.

The world cup started yesterday and we will all be complaining about Eamon Dunphy’s analysis  of the game. We all love to hate him … but now and again he is actually right.

Us Irish are used to travelling, generations have emigrated far and wide to greener pastures. No matter how many times we travel though, we always leave things to the last minute.  Booking our flights, packing, boarding pass and then we forget we left the stove on at home.

“Your know your man? He’s after cheating on his wife, awful all together it is”. Irish people always complain about “your man” and what he has been up to. Even though we don’t have a clue who you’re talking about, we have to act like we know.

No matter what is on the show, there is always something we can find to complain about. We know about how many letters RTE get when Tommy Tiernan comes on the show.

When someone pours a bad pint they might as well start all over again. There is nothing worse than when a pint is rushed and the head is wrong. You say to the barman that it’s grand, but inside you’re raging.

The Irish take their tea very seriously, it is in some ways a fine art. When you ask someone else to make you a cup and they don’t make it the way you like, we look at them as if to say “What it is this sh**!!

We take not being allowed into a club way too seriously, even though it’s their job.

Every Irish person experiences this on a weekly basis, waking up after a night out and not having a clue what happened the night before. Piecing the night together in your head and then you remember ... SH**!!

Lana Del Rey has caused concern amongst her fans for her alarming comments about death.

The singer was speaking to The Guardian when she said: “I wish I was dead already.”

Um, what?!

When asked by the interviewer as to whether she finds the deaths of music heroes such as Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse glamorous, she replied: “I don’t know. Ummm, yeah … I don’t want to have to keep doing this but I am.”

She also spoke of the backlash her album received, saying that she never got to enjoy any of the good that came from it: “I never felt any of the enjoyment. It was bad, all of it.”

We don’t think Lana’s fans will be happy to hear the talented singer is in such a bad place.

We really hope you feel better soon, Lana.

Winona Ryder was seen in Brooklyn, New York, recently with what seemed like a huge baby bump…but it’s only for her new film Experimenter, The Stanley Miligram Story.

The movie is based on the real-life story of Yale University social psychologist, Stanley Miligram, who ran controversial and eye-opening experiments in which people administered electric shocks to strangers.

The so-called Obedience Experiments proved how far people will go when somebody in a authoritative positions tells them what to do.

Peter Saarsgard is set to star as the psychologist while Winona will play Sasha Menkin, his student and love interest.

We’re really looking forward to this movie and to seeing Winona on-screen again!

We’d all like a few indoor plants to brighten up our home and purify the air a bit. But if you aren’t particularly green-fingered, you might feel like you can’t offer them a good enough home.

Well think again – we’ve found five of the hardiest indoor plants around, so you don’t have to worry about coming home to a sad, old, withered up plant.

Dracaena marginata (also known as dragon tree)
This plant survives in bright locations, so keep it on your windowsill or somewhere the sun shines. It also doesn’t like to be too wet, so get one of those pots with holes in the bottom and keep it elevated so the excess water can drain out.

This plant is tolerant to draughts, and while you shouldn’t let it go too long without a drink, it will recover quickly. Sounds good to us!

Apparently these plants need such little light, they could even survive in a closet. Not that we’d recommend keeping it there.

This leafy vine survives with low light and irregular watering, so what could go wrong?

50 cent has just announced that he will be an executive producer on an upcoming BMF (Black Mafia Family) film.

He took to Instagram to reveal the news by posting a picture with details of the film with the caption:

“I’m out of control now, watch my next move. STRATEGY #smsaudio #animalambition #power”

The rapper hasn’t revealed much about the plot, but it’s likely to follow BMF’s run from the late 1980s to the mid 2000s as one of the most infamous drug trafficking cartels.

BMF was founded by ‘Big Meech’ Flenory and his brother Terry ‘Southwest T’ Flenory who were both sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2008 for being behind the nationwide cocaine-trafficking ring.

It looks like Gwyneth Paltrow is not too impressed with the increasing speculation on her separation from Chris Martin.

The couple fuelled rumours that they may be getting back together when they were spotted enjoying lunch recently.

Now the actress has had to put an end to all of these rumours through her rep, who said: “You will many times see them together, as they are raising two children. I don’t know why that is surprising since they were very clear when they announced their break-up that they were still very much a family, just not a couple.”

Well, that’s us told.

Hopefully now they can be left alone to be a family, though we doubt the rumours will stop any time soon!

But now it seems that Irish lads can keep as cool and as stylish as Pharrell,  as its been revealed that the short suit is now coming to our local high-street stores.

The lads will also be able to mix up their short suits with various stylish looks, such as a tweed short suit to even a rocking tuxedo version.

Well, it seems Ireland really wasn’t her ideal honeymoon location as she certainly didn’t post as many happy selfies when she was here as she’s doing in Mexico!

Kim and Kanye are soaking up the sun and she decided to make us all incredibly jealous – not only of her beautiful figure, but of her location aswell.

A source revealed that “It’s been really nice for them to relax, just the two of them. After their time in Ireland, they really wanted some tropical sun”.

Photographer Jack Salzke was so sick of models being told they were only beautiful because of Photoshop and make-up, that he decided he needed to do something about it.

Talking about his mission, he said: “Whenever a model comes to shoot with me… she shows up looking beautiful. She hasn’t got make-up on yet, she hasn’t been Photoshopped yet, it’s just her. And that’s what I want to share with the world. I want to share the ‘before'”.

He doesn’t use Photoshop or make-up during the shoot, although he does make use of lighting to create the perfect picture.

He said: “Whenever you see a gallery online of models ‘caught’ without make-up, they’ve been caught in bad lighting, in an awkward position (maybe eating or talking) and they probably have some make-up on anyway.”

However, while he is trying to show off the women in their most natural form, the photographer does in fact remove temporary blemishes like spots – so we feel kind of cheated if we’re being honest.

Explaining why he removed certain blemishes, he said: “I will only be removing blemishes that will have disappeared within a day or two. Anything permanently on the models’ faces will remain such as scars and/or freckles.”

Talking about the project, the Australia based photographer said: “I want to demonstrate the true beauty of these models and prove to the world they DON’T need a ton of make-up or Photoshop to make them look great.”

Model Tiffany Stanley was at the Maxim Hot 100 party with a friend when she ran into bad boy Chris Brown, but according to the former Miss Kildare, he was actually really nice:

“Chris Brown’s table was right beside ours so we got chatting to him and his entourage for ages.

“He was lovely, really sweet and so polite. He was a total gentleman. I told him I was from Ireland and we had a chat about that.”

We’re not sure if any amount of charm and polite conversation could convince us that Chris Brown is actually a lovely fella!
