She is extremely loved-up with Stephen Belafonte, but Mel B has revealed that she experimented sexually with women in the years before meeting her husband.

Appearing on Alan Carr: Chatty Man, the X Factor judge raised the topic of heterosexual women who become lesbians, saying: “Yeah. I was one of those for a few years.”

Mel, who has been married to Belafonte for seven years, said that while she went through a “phase” of experimentation, she never identified as a lesbian.

“I would not call it that,” she said, adding, “I was just one of those ladies. Now I’m happily married.”

The former Spice Girl was previously linked with Playboy model Luann Lee, who claimed to have once enjoyed a romantic clinch with Mel in a disabled bathroom.

Lee made her claims in July of this year, telling The Sun On Sunday that the singer followed her into the bathroom and started kissing her, while husband Stephen Belafonte waited outside the door.

Mel has previously refused to address rumours regarding her sexuality head-on, once saying: “People call me lesbian, bisexual or heterosexual, but I know who's in my bed and that's it."
