Let's be honest, dropping to your knees and sliding across a floor is a move generally reserved for hyper seven-year-old boys at weddings.

That, however, didn't stop aspiring rapper, Honey G, going for it at the weekend after learning she had made it through to X Factor's next live show.

But unfortunately for the 35-year-old contestant, she didn't quite pull it off, and ended up almost face-plating in front of millions of viewers.

While Honey G played it cool in the wake of the facepalm moment, Twitter had absolutely no chill.

Twitosphere, you can take it from here.

Let's have one more quick look and then move on with our lives…

It seems like there's one controversy after another in this year's X Factor, and the latest contestant to get on the wrong side of the public is Finnish contestant Saara Aalto.

Having had her performance dubbed 'ridiculous' by Simon Cowell on Sunday night, Saara probably didn't expect her weekend to get much worse, but it looks like she was mistaken.

Slamming the star and the production theme for her Japanese-inspired performance of Sound of the Underground by Girls Aloud, X Factor viewers wasted no time branding the singer 'racist'.

"Why have they styled Sound of the Underground into a weird racist parody of Japan? I thought it couldn't get any worse this week #XFactor." wrote one viewer on Twitter in the wake of the performance.

"OK I like Saara but why is she dressed like an offensively stereotypical Japanese woman singing Sound of the Underground?? #XFactor," added another.

Commenting on the backlash this morning, Saara told Good Morning Britain hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard she thoroughly enjoyed her performance, but insists the production team had a lot to do with the concept.

"I loved it, because I love Japanese culture – I've studied it for many years." she said earlier today. "We had a party in Tokyo with that song. I wanted to bring something new, so it was kind of my idea to bring something Asian to it."

"But then, it was mainly the intro of the song that I did in an Asian way, but then the costume, the staging… they were like woah, very produced!"

Something tells us that won't be enough to placate viewers…

Adding fuel to the rumours that this year's X Factor has been a fix from start to finish, the latest contestant to leave the show has revealed she had been told her time was up 24 hours before the announcement was made.

Gifty, who lost out to girl band Four of Diamonds on Sunday night, sounded pretty resigned while being interviewed in the aftermath of her departure, and even suggested that there's more to the show than meets the eye.

While viewers and fans of the show were left reeling by the 20-year-old's departure. the aspiring star seemed less stunned and admitted that the result didn't come as a surprise.

During an interview with On Demand Entertainment, the former contestant said: "Oh I knew I was going home, I got told I was going home on the Saturday night, so I knew.”

And yet in spite of this shocking claim, Gifty played down fix rumours, saying: "When it comes to the whole fix allegations I don’t know I can’t say anything, I’m not the producer."

"I feel like the show is what you make of it," she continued. "We just perform and we just have to be great and hope people vote for us."

Gifty's departure was the subject of intense criticism after her own mentor, Simon Cowell, opted to vote her off the show in error – a gaffe for which he has since apologised.

"It was embarrassing and humiliating! That's the nature of live TV but it was horrible," he said. "People should have voted for her that's the way it goes."

Gifty's remarks come after reports that Honey G is being given the royal treatment behind the scenes.

While the X Factor is no stranger to novelty acts (Wagner, Stevie Ritchie and Jedward to name but three), it's not often you hear they receive special treatment from the production team, right?

In all fairness, most novelty acts have been used to stir up debate among viewers until they're eventually booted out and the contest can really get started.

But it looks like Honey G is the exception to the rule, with rumours flying that the aspiring rapper is being treated like royalty by members of the show's production team.

"Honey G‘s ego is out of control at the moment, she is the only contestant who gets her own dressing room and anything the G wants, the G gets," admitted a source.

Unsurprisingly, fellow contestants are feeling pretty put-out by the dynamic – something which Honey G apparently couldn't care less about.

"There is such an atmosphere backstage with Honey G going from being a really popular member of the team to the token favourite, and the other contestants are getting angry," the insider added.

Confirming the rumours, Honey G told radio presenter Scott Mills that she's the only contestant to be given her own private space in the multi-million pound house which the contestants share over the course of the show.

"I have my own room because I'm special like that. Hip hop stars who are rich and famous who've made it probably don't sleep in bunk beds," she reasoned during the interview.

Unlike other years when novelty acts were wheeled out and subjected to a barrage of criticism from the judges week in week out, Honey is the star of the show right now, and her treatment confirms that.

"She only has to click her fingers for water and the production assistants are all over her. Everyone else has to fend for themselves," the show's source added.

Imagine what it'll be like when she actually hits the big-time… ahem.

After being dropped from Simon Cowell's record label, X Factor winner, James Arthur, found himself facing into a fairly bleak future.

Without a penny to his name, the singer looked like he was going to be confined to the X Factor 'has-been' category alongside the likes of Steve Brookstein and Leon Jackson.

And it was then that reality show execs began inundating him with offers to appear on some of Britain's biggest reality television shows – invitations which James ultimately declined.

Recalling this period of life, the singer, whose comeback track hit the top of the charts in recent weeks, insists it was the right decision at the time, and even says he wouldn't have gotten a number one had he become a Celebrity Big Brother housemate.

"I got offered loads of reality shows including I’m A Celebrity and Celebrity Big Brother," he revealed during an interview with the Daily Star Sunday.

"They were life-changing amounts of money. The most I got offered was £250,000 for CBB, which I really needed at the time, not knowing if I had a career."

While paying tribute to the shows which helped revive some stars' flagging careers, James insists it wasn't for him.

"I’m a huge fan of those shows but I don’t think there’s any chance I would be back at No. 1 now if I’d gone down that route."

He might have a point, in fairness.

Look, when it comes to the X Factor, there are a lot of egos to massage, and that's before you even consider the judging panel.

So, it's no real surprise that the contestants who don't make it through to the live shows rarely take it too well, but James Hughes has definitely taken the biscuit.

After making it to the Judge's Houses after performing I'd Rather Go Blind, the Scottish singer failed to impress Nicole with his rendition of Aint No Mountain High Enough.

And it sounds like Nicole's attitude failed to impress poor ol' James.

Lashing out at the judge during an interview with Now magazine at a charity event, he said: "She’s a c**t" She’s so nice on camera, but I felt she had no time for me once they were off."

Casting doubt on Nicole's role in the selection process, James added: "I don’t even think she picked her final three boys!"

Well, good to see James isn't feeling bitter.

As part of The X Factor’s biggest success story, Niall Horan was surely once the apple of Simon Cowell’s eye.

But ever since signing with Universal, it seems the Mullingar man’s relationship with his former mentor has gone downhill.

X Factor sources have told The Sun that despite having a new song out, Niall will not be asked to perform as part of this year’s series because Simon believes he lacks loyalty.

The insider said: “Niall hasn’t been invited to sing on any of the remaining live shows, despite having a big release.  That’s not an oversight from the bookings team, it’s intentional.”

“Simon really thought the 1D boys would show loyalty after he mentored them on the show and made them the huge global success they are.  Instead they went behind his back,” they continued.

“He’s not going to do them any favours.  He knows artists love performing on the show as there are eight million viewers to promote their songs to.”

A source close to the 23-year-old singer says he is well aware of the situation with Simon but suggested that he has chosen to take the high road.

“They knew when he didn’t sign with Syco he wouldn’t be appearing on The X Factor. Everyone is totally fine.”

“He’s extremely proud and grateful for everything The X Factor did for him,” they said.

Earlier this month, the 57-year-old music mogul suggested Niall’s first solo single would have made number one if he had signed with Syco.

He then bragged that James Arthur has taken the chart’s top spot after returning to his label.

That was one of the best performances ever seen on @TheXFactor. Congratulations @LittleMix

Another day, another X Factor scandal.

This time round, Honey G has found herself amid the controversy after a Scottish nightclub revealed she's scheduled to perform there on the same night as the X Factor final.

Kittys & Kandy nightclub claimed that the reality star will appear on December 10, yet fans were quick to spot that that's the same night of the final results show.

Writing on their FB wall, the club said: "We’ve just confirmed the most talked about act in Britain at the moment! Get down to Kittys on December 10th where we have.. HONEY G !!!”

Fans responded with remarks such as, "X Factor final is this date this mean the shows a fix lol," and "X Factor final is the 10th December who’s to say she won’t be there.”

After the fix claims spread, Kittys & Kandy told The Sun that they have "secured the date providing Honey G is eliminated from the show".

Do you think this means the series is a fix or is it just a simple mistake?

From dishing dirt on their exs to taking down Honey G, Little Mix are dominating this week’s headlines.

But just because they’re one of the world’s most popular girl bands, doesn’t mean they’ve escaped the criticism of Twitter’s infamous trolls.

After performing their latest release, Shout Out To My Ex, on The X Factor over the weekend, the girls were hit with a barrage of abuse online for their outfits of choice.

Commenting on the band’s mix of leotards, crop tops and thigh-high boots, social media users asked: “Why do Little Mix have to give in/conform and go for the prostitute look?”

Others suggested that the group “have turned into strippers”.

It felt so good to be home tonight… Where it all started! Thank you @thexfactor as always

When quizzed about the comments on The One Show last night, band member Jesy Nelson defended the stars’ style.

She said: “Our mums are all for it and I think it’s nice that we’re four young girls who are confident in our bodies and want to go out there and rock it.”

“We don’t get told what to wear,” she continued.  “If we want to wear something, we’ll wear it.  And the thing is…no one moans when Beyoncé comes out in a leotard, so what’s the difference with us?”

Leigh-Anne Pinnock suggested that because the girls first entered the entertainment world in their teens, the public sometimes forget that they are now adults.

She said: “Obviously on The X Factor five years ago we looked so young, we didn’t know what we were doing…Now our fashion’s evolved and we’re a bit more daring and we’re very confident in ourselves.  That’s a good thing, no?”

If it’s good enough for Beyoncé, it’s good enough for us.

When Honey G popped onto the scene we *hoped* she'd be a one hit wonder on the show and might get booted off after the audition phase of the show.

But as she remains in the live finals, fans and celebrities alike have been slamming the rapper, saying that she doesn't deserve to go any futher.

And the latest star to bash her is Boy George.

Georgie appeared on Good Morning Britain and told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid that Honey G is "ridiculous."

"I think she would be a great BGT contestant but I think for a singing show it's ridiculous.

"The fact Freddy got sent home, it's a joke."

Freddy Parker found himself booted off the show last weekend after the competition went to deadlock and Freddy received the least number of public votes.

Having recently confessed his reluctance to working with girl bands, Louis Walsh has now taken a pop at The X Factor’s biggest success story, One Direction.

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday’s Event magazine, the outspoken television personality called the lads “monsters”, before predicting that Harry Styles will be the only member of the band who will have continued success.

The 64-year-old Mayo man said: “Too much money, too much success, too quickly.  They all think they’re going to be solo stars.  They’re not.  Only Harry.  That’s it.”

Continuing to bash the band, Louis suggested they will eventually regret breaking up.

“Then they’ll be sorry they broke up,” he continued.  “And it’ll be too late because there’s another boy band.  That always happens in boy bands.”

On a lighter note, the music mogul was optimistic about Liam Payne and Cheryl’s relationship.

“I think she was in a bad place over the last two years.  And she brought her misery to The X Factor.”

Their short-lived marriage barely limped on for 18months, but the subsequent divorce of Jean Bernard Fernandez Versini and Chery Cole has been in the offing for close-to a year.

However, it has now been revealed that the former X Factor judge and her estranged businessman spouse will be granted a divorce in a London court on Thursday.

Neither party will be required to appear in person.

It is believed that Jean Bernard – affectionately known as JB to his friends – will not receive a financial settlement as part of the split.

A source told The Sun: "This has been the result of months of negotiations, but Cheryl and JB reached an agreement two months ago. And there has been no financial settlement… JB is not going to be paid any money by Cheryl."

In light of her relationship with One Direction star Liam Payne, 23, Cheryl has been eager to get her divorce finalised as soon as possible.

Several photographs of the popstar suggest that she is pregnant with her first child – another motivating factor in bringing her second marriage to an end before the year is out.

It is not know how far into her pregnancy the 33-year-old is, but some sources have told tabloid publications that she is already nearing the six-month mark.
