We love wearing heels. We just hate the fact that by the end of the day, or night, they have got us in some serious pain most of the time.

However, this could possibly become a thing of the past.
The world’s first pair of convertible shoes have been invented! Yes, someone has finally done it, they have created the ultimate style-hack, and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Canadian designer Tanya Heath decided to develop the shoes with detachable heels (of various heights, FYI) when she got sick of suffering from crippling heel pain.

Speaking to The Sun, Tanya explained: “I just could not manage the pain anymore but I did not want to stop wearing heels.”

After buying all of the various gel pads and inserts she was fed up and found that despite shelling out all the cash to avoid the pain, nothing was working.

"I used to always say I wish I could just take the heel off and finally my husband encouraged me to look for a solution. I think he was fed up with me complaining and buying so many shoes and he saw this as an answer."

The shoes took 3 and a half years to develop and Tanya needed to help of over 20 engineers and shoe designers to construct the perfect heel.

"Expect a lot more diversity from us this fall but the brand will remain essentially Parisian. The 4cm heel while not flat is very, very comfortable, great for walking and gives you a tiny bit of lift.”

They are currently available online and from Tanya’s boutique in Toronto.

If you wondered about how well they work, university graduate Catherine Reid put them to the test on a night out in London and sang their praises. She wrote a review of the shoes for website The Tab, and she was seriously impressed.

Another reason to love them, Catherine brought her smallest handbag out to see how convenient the heels really were and said they take up less space than she imagined:

"I took out my smallest clutch bag as a test to see if they fitted in alongside my make-up, keys and phone and they fitted in perfectly."

All you have to do is pick your desired heel and then when the going gets too tough, swap the lower and more comfortable heel. So now there's really no excuse for throwing some shapes on the dance floor.

We've all been there, feeling a little guilty because maybe we splashed out just a bit too much of our pay cheque on that pair of shoes we needed. But that doesn't seem to be a problem for international superstar Beyonce, she spent a huge €280,000 on a pair of stilettos.

The singer is well known for her amazing outfits, but this time she pulled out all the stops when she had an English jeweller sculpt these shoes to the exact shape of her foot.

The boss of the British company, House of Borgezie, has said that they have crafted a pair of princess constellation heels for Bey which weigh an outstanding 65.60 carats and are encrusted with 1,290 sparkling diamonds.

It is reported that these shoes are going to make an appearance in her upcoming music video

Chris, head of House of Borgezie, flew to LA to meet with Beyonce and measured her feet for the shoes for an astonishing four hours.

He said "The word had gone around and I had a call from her people a couple of months ago.

"I went to America and spent four hours measuring her feet. It has to be down to the millimetre, once they are done there is no going back.

When speaking about meeting Beyonce, Chris said "She was really down to earth and really lovely and was very happy with the shoes.

"Ive been told the stilettos are for her next video which should be out in the autumn."

The constellation collection was launched last pair and two pairs of the shoes have been sold so far, one to Beyonce and one to a mystery buyer in Dubai.

The shoes come with a lifetime guarantee so no need to worry about wrecking them on a night out.

This summer is bringing with it some serious fashion trends. Whether its mermaid hair for men, or the crop tops with staying power, there’s something for everyone.

Fashionistas everywhere were cheering when it was unearthed that their feet were no longer going to be aching in the name of fashion.

Pencil thin stiletto heels and those clunky smelly festival wellies can take a back seat, this summer your trusty trainers are making a big comeback. Kanye West managed to have Dublin’s BT2 sell out of his new design in less than a day.

You can wear them at almost every occasion this season, such is the variety.

At a festival

A solid coloured crop and your favourite denim cut offs make the perfect match for your favourite retro style runners. Less fuss than strappy sandals and guaranteed to keep your toes a touch warmer.

Soaking up the sun poolside

Heading on holidays? Throw some light weight trainers in your luggage to add some colour to your life. Seeing as everyone loves to customise their footwear so much these days, you could even have yours match your bikini if you really want to dedicate yourself to the feet on fleek aesthetic.

Weekend BBQ

If you did manage to get yourself a pair of Kanye’s Yeezy boost 350s, then this would be the time so show them off. They would also make for a great conversation piece. Just because Kanye. Casual, yet chic, trainers paired with a sweet jumpsuit (sans wild prints) make for the most comfortable style.

Ok, so we have picked out a few things you need to purchase on your next pay day, and, yes you guessed it, they are all SHOES!

We know the good weather isn't always promised but June has been good so far so we definitely think it's safe to invest in a few sandals.

With mid-season sales beginning everywhere at the moment, we don't think you need much convincing either…

Wedges

First up, for those summer nights out, you need a good pair of wedges. These will see you through the long BBQ/evening pints that turn into a full blown night of dancing as they are SO comfortable!

River Island – €60

Zara – €50

Lace up

These are absolutely EVERYWHERE and they are gorgeous. You definitely need to get yourself a pair of lace up heels for a night out or the flats version for heading to a festival.

Penneys – €18

Missguided – €50

Fringe

We have seen a lot of this trend this spring/summer so far, and that's not about to change now. Our only rule with fringe is – choose ONE item of clothing. Wearing a fringe leather jacket and fringe suede jacket to go with your shoes is definitely a bit much.

Zara – €50

New look – €40

Sandals

This one goes without saying, we all need a few pairs of sandals for the summer months. Definitely worth investing in a good pair if you are heading on holliers.

River Island – €50

Keds

These are really comfortable and ideal for a day out which involves a good bit of walking around.

Oasis – €56

Move aside, Christian Louboutin: Gianvito Rossi is about to be crowned kings of shoes.

And while catwalks are full of offspring-of-famous-folk trying to carve their own niche in the industry – it’s also been well-documented that a lot of the time their efforts fall somewhat short.

Not so with the talented Gianvito, however – the second generation of the prolific Rossi fashion dynasty who has already shown that he can very much stand on his own two feet.

Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Alicia Keys

Son of shoe extraordinaire Sergio, his creations can be seen on a host of famous ankles including Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and Cheryl Cole.

“I grew up among shoes. That was my playground as a child, it has always been a part of my life,” he said in one recent interview. “Right after high school, I started collaborating with my father and I learnt everything from him.”

Miranda Kerr, Cheryl Cole, and Olivia Palermo

Earlier this year, he opened his first London store on Mount Street (Christopher Kane and Celine are neighbours). His flagship is in Milan, but he also has outlets in Paris and Hong Kong. And rumour has it that he will shortly open another chic outlet in Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Indeed, whisper it, fashionistas-in-the-know are now declaring that Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, and Manolo Blahnik have officially been overtaken by Gianvito Rossi’s wares.

Emma Watson, Cameron Diaz, Rosie Hungtingon-Whiteley

So, if you’re in the market for a pair of beautiful Italian shoes – start saving up your pennies, because sadly his creations aren’t cheap (prices start from €395 for a patent-leather pump). But it you're looking to stay ahead of the fashion pack, Gianvito Rossi can certainly help.

It’s time to say goodbye to the pump well at least for a while anyway and get a good pair of winter boots. There is nothing worse than walking around in wet feet, so now is the perfect time to invest in a good pair of boots that will take you right though to the spring.

Here are five to choose from:

Chelsea boots
These ones from River Island are both stylish and comfy and would look great paired with skinny jeans and an oversized cardi. Available for €45.00

Over the knee
What better way to keep your legs dry on wet days than a pair of boots that go right up over the knee. These gorgeous ones are available from asos for €85.31

Biker boots
Give your outfit a bit of an attitude with a pair of biker boots. They look good with skinnies and a cape or a skirt and tights. These particular ones are available from schuh for €145.00

Chunky heeled boots
If you are after a bit of height, pick up a pair with a chunky heel. Stylish yet comfy, they work with various outfits. These ones are available in Oasis for €88.00

Platform shoe boots
For a more sophisticated look, platform shoe boots are a must. For €25.00 you can’t go wrong with these ones from Dunnes Stores.

We have got serious shoe envy right now!

Elle Fanning and Angelina Jolie looks uh-mazing at a photocall in Paris last night to promote their new movie, Disney’s Maleficent.

The two ladies wore gorgeous colour block outfits: Angelina opting for a black Ralph Lauren jumpsuit and Elle in a forest green skater dress.

But it wasn’t their outfits we’re interested in – just look at those shoes!

Angelina and Elle managed to incorporate the Disney theme in a major subtle and classy way.

Angelina channelled her character in the movie by wearing clear and black heels with some major edge in the heel. We think they allude to Maleficent‘s horns, don’t you?

Elle, on the other hand, wore a beautiful pair of Charlotte Olympia heels that featured a queen on the front of them.

Simply stunning, ladies!

Isabel Marant has a problem with other designs of her wedge trainers – they’re “super-ugly”!

The French designer spoke with Women’s Wear Daily and told them she cannot wear her own design too often any more although they are still special: “They still have something special, even though there are a lot of copies, and the bad copies are super-ugly.”

The sneaker, known as The Beckett was nine months being designed and three years after they first appeared they still sell out often. That is not surprising when the likes of Miranda Kerr, Kate Bosworth and many other celebrities often seen wearing them!

New York is currently under a lot of snow, but that didn’t stop Sarah Jessica Parker from popping on some particularly unsuitable footwear.

Not one to put sense before style, the former Sex and the City star struggled to manoeuvre through a pretty treacherous snow mound recently as she tried to get into a waiting cab.

Rather than going back and popping on a pair of wellingtons, the actress enlisted the help of her assistant to get her over the pile.

She was all smiles as she finally managed to get into the car – probably chuffed that she managed to get in without falling.

We shouldn’t expect anything less from the fashionista who, just like her character Carrie Bradshaw, has a bit of an obsession with shoes. The fashion designer has even launched her own line of footwear – she may want to design a nice pair of wellingtons, without a heel.

Famous Irish designer, Orla Kiely has designed a stunning capsule collection for shoe company, Clarks.

The collection is very much retro-inspired with much of the familiar Orla Kiely colours such as mustard, navy, red and orange seen throughout the collaboration.

The collection includes six pieces, including our personal favourite – the mustard and cream coloured platformed Mary-Janes named Orla Marianne that would brighten up any summer outfit in no time.

Each piece also has Orla’s signatory pattern on the sole – a nice touch from the designer!
