So we all love a sneaky McDonald's every now and again, and it's safe to say many of us opt for the Big Mac as our main meal.

The two-burger patty is drenched with Maccy D's secret sauce, and while we're lobbing the calories into us, it's just so, so tasty.

Then why change it, you ask? Well, the fast food chain isn't actually changing any of the ingredients, BUT it has created the Mac Jr and the Grand Mac.

Basically, a smaller and bigger version of the burger. But people are fuming.

In April, it was only supplied to chains in Texas, but after scoring a major hit, it was rolled out to all US states this week.

However, many people are still complaining:

We're guessing if they're a hit in America, they're going to be rolled out over here too. Brace yourselves…

Even though we love a shneaky McDonald's every now and again, we're not sure about this one.

The fast food chain has introduced a Nutella burger, and we fear it's just OTT.

The Sweety Con Nutella is a sweetened bun stuffed with a heap-load of the chocolate spread.

The McDonald's Facebook said: "A soft sweetness has arrived that you will not be able to resist. Try Sweety with Nutella now: soft bread with a creamy, indulgent centre."

For the moment, it's only available in Italy, but everyone is probably going to love it, so no doubt it'll be rolled out to numerous other Maccy D chains around the world.

We could be wrong, it might be delicious, and we'd say any sweet-tooths out there are going to go crazy for it.

Burger King and McDonald's have always been fierce rivals, but the King of the flame grills has just stepped up its game.

Burger King in Queens, New York dressed up as the 'the ghost of McDonald's past' this week to celebrate Halloween, and we just think it's hilarious.

The staff at the franchise draped the whole building in white sheets and cut out holes over the Burger King sing. They then spray painted 'McDonald's' on the sheets.

The sign on BK's marquee read: "BOOOOO. Just kidding. We still flame grill out burgers. Happy Halloween."

The gas staff even continued the joke inside the store:

And of course, the Twitter exploded when they saw it:

Your move, Maccy D.

We've all heard of the creepy clown sightings taking place all over the world in the past few weeks.

The sightings are both real and creepy, and even though they're fake clowns, it's threatening nonetheless.

And now, McDonald's has decided to pull its mascot from public events.

The fast-food chain made a statement on Tuesday, explaining that due to the "current climate around clown sightings in communities," they will do their best to be "thoughtful in respect to Ronald McDonald's participation in community events."

The company didn't mention to what extent Ronald will be out of the picture, but we're sure hoping the creepy clown sightings stop soon.

As anyone who’s ever pretended to be a car to get a late night McFlurry will know, drive-thrus are a no-go zone for pedestrians.  But thanks to some innovative people at McDonald's that trend could soon be a thing of the past.

A Welsh branch of the fast food giant has become the first McDonald's to trial a “walk-thru” lane for weekend party goers.

According to The Sun, the restaurant in Llandudno, North Wales now opens a pedestrian lane between the hours of 2.30 and 4am to help those feeling the effects of the night get their fast food fix.

A spokesperson for Mickey Ds told the paper that the “walk-thru” was set up by the local restaurant manager to help those attending the area’s recently re-opened nightclub go home happy.

Oh, what a time to be alive!

To much delight, McDonald's brought back the all-day breakfast last year, and to celebrate… it's launching a line of workout gear.

I kid you not.

The new Maccy D's tracksuit is plastered with Egg McMuffins, hash browns and hotcakes, and it also threw in a few palm trees for fun.

But don't be too quick to think the fast food chain has lost it's mind.

It actually ties in with the brand's Olympic sponsorship for this year's games and all of the profits will benefit the Ronald McDonald House, which provides housing close to hospitals for families of children undergoing treatment.

According to Ad Week, the trackie is available on eBay with prices starting at $50 (€45).

An understandably distressed mother has now spoken out about the moment her eight-year-old son saw the Munich shooter loading his gun in a McDonald's toilet… before targeting children and opening fire on them.

The woman, named by CNN as Lauretta, said she was with her child was in a bathroom when the killer struck.

"My son saw in the toilet the man loading his gun. It was a pistol.

"That's where he loaded his weapon.

"Boom, boom, boom, I heard.

"He's killing the children. They were sitting to eat. They can't run."

She added that she heard the gunman say: "Allahu Akbar" meaning 'God is great'.

Mail Online has named 18-year-old ‘loner’ Ali Sonboly as the perpetrator who killed at least ten people in the attack.

The Iranian-German teenager – who complained that he had been bullied for seven years – “targeted innocent children and then turned his gun on himself following the massacre,” the website additionally reports.

Shockingly, Police are investigating claims that Sonboly lured his young victims to their deaths with a promise of free McDonald's food.

A fake Facebook page reportedly told youngsters to gather at the restaurant yesterday afternoon for the special offer.

Munich Police President Hubertus Andrae has confirmed that a number of adolescents were among the dead and that several children were injured.

Armed and armoured cops are still on the streets around the Olympia-Einkaufszentrum shopping mall in the centre of the German city.

ISIS-related social media accounts have been sharing reports of the attack, but reports in German newspaper Bild suggests right-wing extremists are responsible.

The shopping centre is next to the Munich Olympic stadium, where the Palestinian militant group Black September took 11 Israeli athletes hostage and eventually killed them during the 1972 Olympic Games.

The attack took place a week after a 17-year-old asylum-seeker wounded passengers on a German train in an axe rampage claimed by Islamic State.

A movie debuting this autumn is going to reveal the scandalous past of McDonald's.

Michael Keating plays the 'founder' Ray Kroc, in the flick about the fast food chain, and it looks like we might be in for a mix of Mad Men and burgers.

The Founder will expose how a humble businessman came across a fast food diner that made burgers "in 30 seconds not 30 minutes," and how he tries to steal the idea.

With 50s flair, dramatic pauses, and a lot of sticky businessmen, it looks like we're going to be in for a good one. Now, get the popcorn!

Anyone who has eaten at McDonald's will know that its red container of fries is never enough. Whether you go small or large, within a minute all the fries just seem to disappear. Poof.

That's why this glorious chain in Missouri, USA unveiled plans to have all-you-can-eat fries this summer.

It has been dubbed the "McDonald's of the Future," as the new location will also feature table service, digital order kiosks and the ability to customise orders.

"Today's customers seek a comfortable and inviting atmosphere," the local franchise owner Chris Habiger told New Press Now. "So we're committed to providing a modern look and feel to this restaurant."

We just want ALL the fries. Imagine how amazing all-you-can-eat-fries would be with a hangover?! YUM.

Do you ever lie in bed on Sunday with a banging hangover and just WISH McDonald's could roll up to your window so you wouldn't have to move? Yep, us too.

The fast food chain rolled out a new app over a year ago, but until now all you were able to do was check for the nearest restaurant and look up the menu – not very exciting.

But according to TheStreet, Big Mac fans will soon be able to order from an updated app as well as use a loyalty awards programme.

"We will be piloting ordering capabilities through mobile in some geographies outside the United States this year," said McDonald's chief digital officer Atif Rafiq.

However, he declined to specify which locations would be included in the trail run but we're guessing it'll be a few European cities (like us!).

There's also no word on whether the app orders will be available for delivery or just in-store pick-up but we're PRAYING it'll deliver.

Don't get us wrong, we LOVE McDonald's. Nothing cheers us up more than launching into a Big Mac and getting burger sauce all over our hangover clothes.

But recently the fast food chain has been making a lot of changes to its menu… And we're not sure we like the latest.

Every blogger and Instagrammer's fave sweet treat has made it into the restaurant – macarons.

Yep, the French fancy has been welcomed in South Korea and are available in chocolate, vanilla and caramel.

While we love our macarons, we're just wondering how fancy Maccy D's is going to get. Will we no longer be able to rock up in a hungover state and eat until our heart's content?

The pastries are only available overseas at the moment, but if all goes well they'll be making their way to our shores.

There was a slow start to the turnout at Ireland's polling stations this morning , and we may have figured out why.

As well as being voting day for the general election in the Republic of Ireland, February 26 also happens to be Free Breakfast Friday at McDonald's.

And when it comes to demand, it seems a free Egg McMuffin definitely trumps a ballot box – just take a look at the MENTAL queues this morning:

Diners were treated to a free Sausage and Egg McMuffin or a Bacon and Egg McMuffin this morning until 10am at all 89 Irish McDonald's outlets.

Thanks for the #freebreakfastfriday
