London

Prosecco has easily become one of our favourite drinks in the past few years.

And especially with the introduction of skinny Prosecco, we don't feel too bad about having a boozy brunch every now and again.

But now, we need to gear up for a whole festival surrounding the drink, because it's coming to London pretty soon.

Aptly named Prosecco Springs, the three-day festival will allow you to meet the makers of your favourite fizz, as well as attend tastings, masterclasses and more.

And if the booze wasn't enough to sway you, there will also be live music that will range from jazz quartets to bass-pounding DJs.

The festival is taking place at the Oval Space in East London from the May 12 – 14.

We already have our tickets booked.

Even though we're only 25 days in, 2017 has already been a fierce year for memes.

And one that swept away the whole world was definitely #SaltBae. Who else could sprinkle salt so slickly?!

His suave AF seasoning skills quickly went viral earlier this month, and with that followed a whole host of other memes inspired by him.

Well, now #SaltBae, real name Nusret Gökçe, is opening a restaurant in London, and we're SO there.

The Turkish chef already has restaurants in his native country, but has now decided to take the plunge with London, he confirmed to the Hurriyet Daily News.

When asked by Time Out if he's worried about the language barrier, Nusret said no, because he's "going to communicate with people through meat."

As well as the new London restaurant, SB also has plans for New York, so we can definitely see 2017 being the year of his salty suaveness.

The legendary Ed Sheeran has just become even more awesome in our eyes: he's now performed an AH-MAZE-ING acoustic version of The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.

Yup, the 25-year-old was appearing on Capital FM in London yesterday when a caller made a request: in honour of her two great passions in life – the Fresh Prince and Ed himself – would he get out his guitar to sing the "intro bit" for her?

After a bit of reluctance, Mr Sheeran agreed. And the result is, well, it's just stunning.

International beauty pageants: when a collection of accomplished women come together in a fierce battle of beauty, brains, poise, and… great teeth.

And last night, Miss World 2016 was crowned in London – with Miss Puerto Rico Stephanie Del Valle being decreed the overall winner.

The moment was undoubtedly a high-point for the 19-year-old model – who currently resides in New York where she is furthermore studying for a degree in communications.

However, and both flanking the winner while holding her hand, Top 5 finalists Miss Philippines Catriona Gray and Miss Kenya Evelyn Thungu couldn't hide their personal disappointment as the result was announced.

Stephanie also beat runners-up Miss Philippines Catriona Gray and Miss Kenya Evelyn Thungu to nab the title.

Miss Ireland Niamh Kennedy sadly did not place – but she proudly represented her country and looked stunning for the final in a sweeping green gown.

She's kept her fans guessing for months – but now, finally, pictures of 33-year-old Cheryl Cole have clearly displayed her pregnancy.

The former X Factor judge, who has been with her boyfriend Liam Payne for close-to a year, was out and about this evening in London.

The loved-up duo, who first met on the reality TV talent show when Liam was just 14, were today attending a Christmas fair in the centre of the English capital.

The pop-star, who recently divorced second husband Jean Bernard Versini Fernandez, wore a tight green wool dress with black boots for the occasion.

However, and despite Cheryl's appearance, Mail Online reports that a spokesperson for the Newcastle native refused to confirm her pregnancy.

Liam, 23, and Cheryl began dating late last year – although it was the spring until their relationship was social media official.

In the past year there has been a huge boom with… naked stuff. From restaurants to rooftop bars, it looks like the world is keen on getting starkers to enjoy their weekend activities.

And the latest venture into the world of no-clothes is a nightclub.

Now, we all know that your average nightclub is not the most hygienic, and give it an hour or two of people bopping around, and the place is practically a sweat house.

So, imagine THAT – along with sweaty pits and jiggly bits everywhere in sight…

The club, called Get Naked at the Takeover Bar in Greek Street, Soho, launched last month and operates two nights a week.

It is optional to get your kit off (you can't exactly force anyone to go nude), and those who do decide to take their tops off will be rewarded with a bottle of champers for their, erm…'bravery'.

Live music, naked hula-hoopers (???) and naked shot-servers fill the bar each night, with the promoters saying it is "steeped in debauchery", with "booze, bubbles and bums."

We think we'll pass on this one…

From gin-infused Christmas baubles to gin-inspired advent calendars, there's very little that doesn't improve with a quick dash of gin.

And if a little good, a lot is even better, so it's no surprise that a hotel dedicated solely to the spirit has popped up in one of the world's most glamorous capital cities – London.

Set to open on Portobello Road on Dec 16, The Distillery will become a veritable haven for gin connoisseurs who can pursue their passion across four floors.

From the Resting Room on the first floor which boasts suspended gin barrels to the first floor GinTonica restaurant, we're already planning our visit.

Oh, and if that wasn't enough, the Ginstitute, where guests can learn how to make their own gin, is being moved to the hotel in addition to a gin museum which will school guests on their favourite tipple.

"Guests can enjoy a considered selection of international spirits that have been aged in hand-built barrels suspended above the bar from which they will be directly served," a spokesperson for the hotel confirmed.

"Due to the spirit’s ongoing ageing process within the barrel, no two drinks will be the same,’ they added.

And yes, that is the sound of us swooning.

‘The most exciting parts of the project are the new and unexpected opportunities that have come with a development of this size and scale."

"We are proud purveyors of London spirit and we look forward to exciting guests from around the globe with amazing gin and other wonderful new distillates and aged spirits," they added.

Guests from around the globe? That's us they're talking about, you know.

See you there.

She’s a successful actress, outspoken feminist and proud bookworm, but did you know Emma Watson is also a total sweetheart?

The Harry Potter star has surprised fans with handwritten notes hidden inside copies of Maya Angelou’s autobiography, Mom & Me & Mom, which she placed along the sides of escalators in a London tube station.

The 26-year-old took to Facebook last night to share a video of herself distributing the books in a move which has led fans to call her “the best human in the world”.

Some lucky commuters have already shared news of their finds online.

Pictures of the special notes reveal Emma’s hope that the books will be left in tube carriages once their finders have finished with them so that they can then be read by other passengers.

Earlier this year London gained itself a restaurant with a difference when The Bunyadi stripped open its doors in Elephant and Castle.

Offering diners the opportunity to eat completely naked, the adventurous pop-up quickly became a resounding success and so its owners have decided to spread the nude experience.

According to the Evening Standard, the venue’s founder, Seb Lyall, is currently hunting for a new site in the British capital to allow more foodies the unique opportunity to dine naked by candlelight.

As with the pilot project, diners will be given a locker and robe before having their phones confiscated.

They will then be seated at a discreet table, where they can choose to protect their dignity or drop the robe altogether.

After learning that a Chanel bag is a more solid investment than a house, our fashion focused daydreams became that bit more luxurious.

And while it is obvious that designer goods will never come cheap, it seems there is no better place to splurge than on the other side of the Irish Sea.

Thanks to Brexit, the pound has fallen to a six year low against the euro which means the UK has some major deals to offer Irish fashion fans.

According to new research from Deloitte, designer goods now cost less in London – when compared in dollars – than anywhere in the world.

Earlier this month, a Speedy 30 Louis Vuitton handbag cost £645 ($802) in London, €760 ($850) in Paris and $970 in New York.

As reported by the BBC, China was the most expensive place to make the purchase, with the same piece costing 7,450 yuan or $1,115.

The argument for a shopping spree is quickly gaining pace.
