Famous folk have an incredible knack for remaining ageless. They just don’t seem to crinkle, cease, and wear and tear like the rest of us eventually do.

But then there are the celebrities who seem to only ever get better with the passing of each year. Whether the result of good genes, expert grooming, expensive beauty treatments, or even the odd nip-tuck, these six stars are more beautiful and more striking now than they were a decade ago…

Beyonce Knowles has never been anything less than a total hottie – but it’s also clear that she’s never looked better. Gone is the dodgy fashion of her Destiny’s Child days and, as displayed at the recent Met Ball in New York wearing Givenchy Couture, Ms Knowles is now definitely approaching goddess territory. That and she still looks significantly younger than her 33 years.

We’re going out on a limb here, but we think that fatherhood and Angelina Jolie have done Brad Pitt a world of good. He may be now 51 (nope, we can’t believe it either), but there’s a certain gentlemanly distinction to the Brad of 2015 that was lacking in his youth. He's busier than ever too: later this year, By The Sea, staring both Jolie and Pitt, will be released – their first collaboration since 2005’s Mr & Mrs Smith

Singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham, 41, had oodles of male fans during her Spice Girls days – including her now-husband David Beckham, who spotted her donning a black leather cat-suit in her Say You’ll Be There video and quickly arranged for the pair to meet. However, fast-forward to 2015 and Victoria rarely looks anything less than picture-perfect: she’s found her fashion niche and has established herself as a serious style icon.

Colin Farrell is one of the things that our nation can be proud of – and while we’re sure he turned a few heads during his Ballykissangle days, he’s really coming into his own now. He celebrates his 39th birthday later this month, but we reckon he looks better than he did a decade ago at the height of his fame. A father-of-two, he’s kicked the booze and replaced it with yoga – and it’s a lifestyle that clearly suits him.

Cheryl Fernandez Versini, 31, has just signed a big-money deal to return to the X Factor this year – and she is repeatedly referred to as one of the world’s most beautiful women. She’s always been stunning, but these days she’s definitely looking a lot more groomed. And frankly we’d give our right arm to have a sneak peek inside her surely-extensive wardrobe.

He is in incredible shape for a man of any age – never mind for a guy who’ll turn 44 next month. In his Marky Mark days back in the early Nineties, Mark Walhberg was arguably on wrong side of cringe, but these days he’s sophisticated and suave. His 1992 Calvin Klein advert alongside Kate Moss remains iconic, but we’d take the suited-and-booted Mark of 2015 over his younger self any day.

Uh-oh: after months of rumour, it's being reported that Louis Walsh has officially been axed from The X Factor.

The pop-music manager has been a judge on the show for an incredible 11 years – but it seems that Simon Cowell has now wielded the axe, telling Louis in person that there's no room for him in this year's line-up.

A source told today's Sun On Sunday: "They are close friends so Simon wanted to do this the right way."

With falling viewing figures and critics calling the show past its prime, Mr Cowell is under pressure to seriously shake up the format for 2015.

A second source added in The Sun that audiences had become "sick of Louis's constant use of tired cliches and the same old jokes".

Mel B's contract will also not be renewed, but Cheryl Fernandez Versini has already signed a multi-million euro deal to return.

Still, it is unlikely that Louis, 62, was shocked by the recent revelation. Last month he told Lucy Kennedy and Martin King on TV3's The Seven O'Clock show: "I’m done with X Factor, honestly.

"I've done 11 seasons and that's a long time in television – I don't think I'll be going back."

Louis is currently managing Hometown. The six-piece boyband has enjoyed two No.1 hits in the Irish charts.

Last week she beat off stiff competition to be crowned FHM's sexiest woman in the world  and Michelle Keegan has another reason to celebrate.

One survey has now discovered that more than a third of women and more than a quarter of men reckon the actress has the world's most desirable hair

There were several famous faces with particularly lovely locks vying for the prize – among them Kim Kardashian, Cheryl Fernandez Versini, and Beyonce – but bride-to-be Michelle beat the lot of them with her gorgeous tresses.

Cheryl's tresses were also coveted in the survey

The Viviscal hair supplements research also found that half of those surveyed live to regret a hair decision – the biggest regret being cutting it too short. Getting a perm or fringe, and choosing the wrong colour also ranked highly among the hair horror stories.

Michelle was awarded the FHM title on Tuesday after making the runners-up spot last year, and fourth-place in 2013.

The role that made her famous, playing Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street, concluded last year, but she's since been involved in other acting projects, as well as high-profile modelling gigs for Garnier and Lipsy.

Nadia was the highest ranked Irish woman on the FHM list

Flying the flag for Ireland on the influential FHM list was Laura Whitmore, ranked 37th, Georgia Salpa, who made number 85, and Nadia Forde at number 30.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has been enjoying some rare time off with her family recently, and it seems she's been taking advantage of her relaxed schedule to go make-up free.

Going by her latest Instagram picture, we reckon 31-year-old Cheryl barely even needs to wear make-up, her skin is THAT flawless.

The singer and X Factor judge shared a fresh faced image with her 1.4 million Instagram followers, showing off her gorgeous olive-toned skin without any help from cosmetics.

"My dad is making me post this picture bc he said I am the double of my nana (his mother) when she was my age, and has a photo just like this but with a scarf on her head.. So here you go," she wrote, proving that her fabulous skin must all be down to good genes.

This isn't the first time Cheryl has referenced her dad on Instagram – just last week she shared a picture of her new red hairstyle with her followers, capturing her father in the background much to his annoyance. The sweet photo was captioned, "Dad: "what ye deeing" "wait til I git doon these stairs" Got him !! #rundadrun"

The Geordie girl is tipped to return for the next season of The X Factor, so no doubt she'll be back on our screens looking as glamourous as ever, but in the meantime we are loving seeing a different side of her.

It has been announced that Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding will be joining the cast of Coronation Street.

Although the role is a guest one and will only last for four episodes, Sarah is set to make big trouble on the cobbles – especially for Tracy Barlow. We already can’t wait!

The singer and TV star spoke of her excitement about the role, saying: “I am extremely excited to be joining Coronation Street. As a fan of the show it is a huge honour for me to join the cast. I can’t wait to get started!”

Sarah isn't the only member of Girls Aloud to make an appearance on the popular soap as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini also made a highly anticipated cameo in the Rovers Return back in 2013.

We can't wait to see what sort of story surrounds the pop star during her guest appearance on Coronation Street

We're used to seeing Cheryl dolled up to the nines for her X Factor appearances, but this new look has us wondering if she might be better off toning things down.

The singer's make-up artist Karin Darnell shared some images from Cheryl's shoot with the Sunday Telegraph's Stella magazine, which hit news stands yesterday.

Cheryl looks like a totally different woman with simple make-up, a nude lip and slightly messy dark brown hair:

How gorgeous?! Karin captioned the image, "So simple… so striking… @cherylofficial looking so young… so beautiful!!!!"

Another image from the shoot shows Cheryl with a similarly natural look, and we have to say it totally suits her.

The former Girls Aloud star reveals she rarely reads comments online or in the media about herself anymore, admitting she has "absolutely no idea” of how she is portrayed these days.

“I know that they don’t know us… They only know what they’re fed and what they’re given, and half the time, that’s not me," she said.

Speaking about her new single Only Human, Cheryl says it's about "going back to basics, and saying, 'Look, we’re only human, we’re only dust. That’s all we are made from’.”

So could this simple, natural look be a permanent change for Cheryl? We hope so!

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini was visibly absent from the National Television Awards last night, at which The X Factor won a Best Talent Show award.

Although the star gave no reason for not attending the awards, she took to Twitter to slam those who had been making assumptions about her absence.

"People should never jump to conclusions about others .. You never know what they may be dealing with #thatsall," she wrote, in what was her first time on Twitter in three weeks.

Shortly after, the X Factor judge tweeted again to congratulate her colleagues on their win, posting a throwback picture of herself, Mel B and Louis Walsh with the caption, "Congratulations to #Xf for winning the NTA last night!!! Woohoo #xf2014"

Yesterday's cryptic tweet isn't the first time Cheryl has lashed out on social media – when an Instagram fan accused her of miming on her X Factor performance late last year, she responded by saying, "Don’t mug yourself on my page. It’s not cute. Go teach yourself some dance instead.” Ouch!

The star hasn't been seen in public since last month, and although we reckon she is just taking some down time following a busy few months on The X Factor, we hope she is okay all the same.

The inevitable has happened. Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has put the final nail in the coffin that is her friendship with Nadine Coyle and officially unfollowed her on Twitter.

Ooh, that’s gotta hurt!

It’s been no secret that things have been tense between the girls since Cheryl said that her former bandmate was "full of sh**" – and it doesn’t sound as if they are going to patch things up anytime soon!

Rather bizarrely, it was only in recent days that Nadine said she would be open to a Girls Aloud reunion…Perhaps Cheryl was afraid of that dreaded invite in her Twitter messages box and decided to take drastic action.

Either way, it looks like this Girls Aloud friendship is OVER!

People on Twitter were quick to notice Cheryl’s sly move:

It looks like all hopes of a Girls Aloud reunion tour are once and for all, dashed.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s new ‘I don’t care’ attitude is winning her no fans, that’s for sure.

While we’re waiting with baited breath for Nadine Coyle’s response to being labelled as “full of sh*t”, one person who has made their feelings on Cheryl’s cattiness known is Olly Murs.

Everyone was surprised when Cheryl booted X Factor contestant Monica Michael from this year’s competition, criticising her for choosing one of Olly’s songs, Troublemaker, for her audition.

“I know what you’re capable of, I don’t understand why you would do an Olly Murs song,” said the judge at the time.

Now, Olly has hit back at Cheryl over the incident, saying that it left him “annoyed”.

The former X Factor host told Attitude magazine: “I was a bit annoyed because I think the crowd were loving it and she [Monica] did a really good job.”

He added: “It’s the best I’ve seen someone sing Troublemaker. Obviously Cheryl didn’t like it. I don’t think she likes the song.”

If she keeps going the way she has been, we don’t think she’ll remain the nation’s sweetheart for very much longer!

When Cheryl Cole sings “I don’t care”, she really does mean it!

While Girls Aloud have always done their best to smile through the rumours of catfights and feuds, Cheryl’s latest comments about former band mate Nadine Coyle prove that the gloves are finally off!

The X Factor star has branded Irish singer Nadine as being “full of sh*t” in a recent interview with Attitude magazine.

Addressing Nadine’s claims that she wanted Girls Aloud to stay together after their reunion last year, Cheryl didn’t mince her words.

“She’s full of sh*t. What d’you want us to say? She’s full of sh*t. She was the one who wanted to make a solo record, which is why we took the hiatus,” she said.

Cheryl wasn’t finished there though, and didn’t hold back as she exposed the real reason behind the Girls Aloud split.

“Okay, so do you want us to tell the truth?” she teased, continuing, “She wasn’t going to make another Girls Aloud record until she got a solo deal. I feel she held us ransom and then made her solo deal.”

Meow!

What will Nadine have to say about Cheryl’s latest swipe?

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is not having the best week of her career so far after being accused of miming on Sunday’s X Factor and blasting a follower on Instagram yesterday.

Now, the singer has angered mental health sufferers and charities after comments she made during Lola’s performance last weekend.

Lola performed Crazy by Gnarls Barkley and when Simon asked where the Halloween aspect was in the set, Cheryl replied: “It was crazy, we had a theme. If you didn’t notice there were people in straitjackets.”

Now, mental health organisation, Mind and Rethink Mental Illness’ Time to Change have blasted Cheryl’s words, as spokesperson Kate Nightingale told The Daily Mirror: “The X Factor is watched by millions and implying that mental health problems are scary it’s irresponsibly fuelling damaging myths and misconception.”

Twitter users also condemned Cheryl, with many complaining that her words are offensive and damaging to those suffering from mental health issues:

As of yet, Cheryl hasn't addressed the controversial situation but it may be a good idea…

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini took to the stage on X Factor last night to perform her newest single, I Don't Care. The singer filmed a pre-recorded segment which was aired during the results show last night – but fans didn't approve.

Cheryl's sensational white outfit and high-octane dance moves weren't enough to disguise the fact that she seemed to mime for the majority of her performance.

Many viewers took to Twitter to share their criticism of the X Factor judge's decision to lip-synch:

Despite the negative reaction, Cheryl's rep claims she was indeed performing live. And the singer herself admitted she was suffering a serious case of the butterflies before going onstage. "It's natural to be nervous," she told presenter Dermot O'Leary afterwards. "I think it's healthy."

Cheryl's singing wasn't the only thing causing some shock, though. Her gaping white top left a number of fans wondering if they'd seen just a little too much more than they bargained for:

Hmmm, maybe stick to judging for now, Cheryl!
