Conor McGregor recently starred in an ad for Budweiser promoting a competition to win €50,000 and a job of your dreams.

However, RTÉ has banned the ad from appearing on its station.

The national broadcaster cited that they are against “heroes of the young” promoting alcohol, reports the Sunday Business Post.

When you watch the ad on Youtube you have to confirm your age but Budweiser have said they had the ad already pre-approved for TV.

It seems like Donald Trump might NOT be allowed to enter our fair green isle.

TDs and senators have to discuss the outcome of two petitions calling for Donald Trump to be banned from coming to Ireland.

The Joint Committee on Public Service Oversight and Petitions have to address both petitions after Irish citizens were appalled by Donald's comments on banning Muslims from America.

Yet, it might not be so easy as the panel have to examine if the petitions comply with standing orders.

Last month, Enda Kenny said that Mr Trumps comments were "not acceptable."

However, Donald does own his very own hotel in Doonbeg, Co. Clare called Trump International Golf Links and Hotel, where he was warmly greeted in 2014, so for now, the outcome of these petitions is high up in the air.

It looks like all of our favourite apps are staring in the dark face of banishment over in the UK.

New laws are set to pass that will see the banishment of WhatsApp, Snapchat and iMessage because they use encrypted messages.

The government views the use of encryption as a potential security threat and they hope to ban the use of those types of messages with the Draft Communications Data Bill, or as it’s more commonly known, the “snooper’s charter.”

The bill stipulates that internet service providers and mobile phone companies are to retain records of each user’s internet browsing activity.

There does seem to be some light at the end of the tunnel though. If the companies restructure their apps to meet the proposed requirements, they will be allowed to stay up and running.

So while the Brits may get to continue using the apps in the future, they may want to think twice before sending any sexy snapchats… you never know just who might be having a snoop.

Orange is certainly not the new black at Saginaw County Jail in Michigan. Sheriff William Federspiel has decided to change the inmates orange uniforms back to the old black and white striped ones, because he reckoned the inmates were getting a bit confused between real life and pop culture:

“When the lines get blurred between the culture outside the jail and the culture within the jail, I have to do something to redefine those boundaries, because they’ve been blurred far too often in public culture.”

We suppose it makes sense in a way, it’s not good to circulate the idea that being in jail is trendy. Federspiel says he also wants to make sure there is no confusion when inmates leave the premises between the people in jail and the people who just like to wear a lot of orange.

Thanks for that Federspiel, but we think we can tell the difference!

Samm Newman, from Ohio in the US, has accused social media giant, Instagram, of deleting her account due to her size.

The teenager believed her account was deleted because she shared photos of herself in lingerie, she explained: “Fat is not a bad word. How confident can you be if you keep censoring yourself because people don’t want to look at you? My Instagram, it was my safe place because when I was there, I could share anything.”

Instagram have since reinstated the woman’s account and apologised: “When our team processes reports from other members of the Instagram community, we occasionally make a mistake. We apologise for any inconvenience.”

This is not the first time Instagram has been accused of double standards when it comes to deleting people’s accounts. Instagram is not short of women in bikinis, however, when Meghan Tonjes shared a photo of herself recently, her account was deactivated: “I have pride for my curves. My still very fat body. I like a lot.”

The Only Way is Essex star Mario Falcone has been temporarily axed from the show after a drug video was leaked.

The footage is said to show someone who looks very like Mario snorting cocaine on a night out with pals in Essex.

The TOWIE cast and crew are currently in Spain filming scenes for the forthcoming twelfth series of the reality show.

But Mario has been ordered to stay away while his TV bosses carry out an investigation into the tape.

The reality TV star was previously in hot water following a brawl with a group of young boys after they reportedly made nasty comments about his then fiancée, former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh.

Mario was cautioned by police after grabbing an 11-year-old boy by the neck.

This is NOT good news for the TOWIE star!

Bruce Jenner doesn’t want his youngest daughter Kylie anywhere near the bad boy pop star Justin Bieber!

Bruce reportedly hit the roof when he found out about Justin and Kylie’s date to Las Vegas to see the Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight last month.

Bruce was fine with his daughter tagging along with older sister Kendall when she hung out with Justin, but is REALLY not keen on the idea of Kylie and the Heartbreaker singer spending time alone.

The reality TV dad has told Kylie she is forbidden from dating Justin, as he’s a major bad influence on her.

Kris Jenner is said to have backed Bruce’s Bieber ban and said Kylie is WAY too young to be hanging around with the 20-year-old singer.

Kylie went crying to her mum after the big argument with Bruce, but was shocked to see Kris siding with her estranged hubby on this one.

Somehow we’re not so sure this is going to stop her!

If we had Rihanna’s body, we’d probably never have our clothes on either!

But it seems photo and video-sharing site Instagram aren’t having any of it, after they banned topless pictures the We Found Love singer posted of herself on the site.

Rihanna had posted her ‘birthday suit’ snaps from her shoot with French adult entertainment magazine Lui on Instagram yesterday.

But after only an hour, she was told by the site to take them down as they violated the service’s rules against nudity.

The 26-year-old Barbadian singer received an email from Instagram asking her to remove her raunchy photos from the site or else her account would be suspended.

The singer obeyed Instagram’s request, but not to be outdone, the naughty singer just moved the banned images onto Twitter instead!

There’s just no stopping this girl!

A TV ad for Vicky Pattison’s best-selling fitness DVD has reportedly been banned for being ‘misleading’.

The Geordie Shore star said she has shed three stone in the past six months, dropping from a size 16 to a size 6.

Vicky’s fitness DVD cover shows a ‘before and after’ bikini picture of the 26-year-old celebrity.

The DVD, called Vicky’s 7 Day Slim – knocked Davina McCall’s Davina: Fit in 15 off the number one spot earlier this year.

A voice-over on the TV ad for the DVD said, “Here’s Vicky from Geordie Shore before she found 7 Day Slim…..now look at her!”, with Vicky then saying, “I’ve lost three stone with this DVD.”

On-screen text said, “Weight lost over six months. Works as part of a calorie controlled diet.”

Bosses at the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) are said to have banned the ad for misleading viewers into thinking they could lose three stone in just seven days.

It criticised the ad for its failure to clarify in sufficiently readable text that the 7-day slim workout refers to weight-loss over 12 months with a calorie controlled diet.

However, bosses at Universal Pictures (UK) Ltd – which made the DVD – said the product name 7 Day Slim referred to a weekly cycle of seven workouts to be repeated over time in order to achieve significant weight loss and that Vicky weight loss took place over six months.

Justin Bieber was reportedly banned from some of Miami’s top nightclubs.

The Baby singer and his entourage’s party plans didn’t get off the ground over the weekend, as they were apparently denied access to the city’s biggest hotspots.

Although the 20-year-old singer’s team rang ahead to reserve tables, the managers of the clubs were said to have refused to let them in as the singer is one year under the legal age.

The managers were also said to have thought the star would create bad press for the venues as the last time he let his hair down in Miami he was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), resisting arrest and driving without a valid licence.

Some clubs offered to let the Heartbreaker singer in if he agreed to perform but he declined.

Justin, who has pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him, is set to appear in court again on May 5th.

The actress is involved in Sodastream’s new campaign and this new ad was due to be released during the Superbowl on the Fox network in the US.

However, due to the reference at the end of the advert when Johansson says, “Sorry, Coke and Pepsi,” the ad has been banned and must be redone to remove competitors names.

Pepsi and Coke are big sponsors of Fox so this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to Sodastream.

The ad centres around proving that Sodasteam is not only healthier but is less wasteful than other soda brands.
