Kate Ferdinand has excitedly announced she has written a book called How To Build A Family.

The former The Only Way is Essex star shared the wonderful news to her 1.4M Instagram followers and revealed she was excited but also nervous about breaking the news. 

Alongside a photo of the book’s front cover, the 31-year-old explained why she chose to write this book and what it’s based on. 

“I’m just so excited (& a little nervous) to finally be sharing this with you all…I’ve written a book”, she began.

“How To Build A Family is the kind of modern parenting handbook that I wish I had been given when I started out on my journey in a fully blended family”.

Kate continued, “It’s packed full of advice from experts, every day stories & some of my experiences along the way. It’s there to guide you on your journey & pick you up when your not feeling so great”.

“I’m just so grateful I’ve been able to bring my vision to life & create something that will hopefully help others along the way with their parenting journey”.

Ferdinand was flooded with hoards of supportive messages from her former TOWIE co-stars and fans alike. 

Georgia Kousoulou wrote, “Forever proud of you”, while Lauren Lauren Pope penned, “Amazing congratulations”.

“So so well deserved kate! I love seeing you blossom like this”, added fashion blogger Lydia Millen. 

As well as having this book, Kate is the host of the Blended podcast where she has guests on each week to talk about their different blended families.

Kate is step-mum to Rio Ferdinand’s three children- 16-year-old Lorenz, 14-year-old Tate and 11-year-old Tia. Rio’s former wife, Rebecca Ellison tragically passed away in 2015 after battling cancer.

Kate and Rio have been together since 2016 and tied the knot in Turkey in September 2019. The pair went on to have a two-year-old son named Cree together.

Gina Rodriguez has had to get creative in recent months!

The Jane The Virgin star is currently expecting her first child with her husband Joe LoCicero, and is not far away from her due date.

The actress has been taking part in a press junket for her new show Not Dead Yet, the filming of which accidentally aligned at the same time as her pregnancy.

Speaking on a panel during the Television Critics Association Press Tour on Wednesday, the 38-year-old opened up about how she had to adjust to falling pregnant at the same time as filming. 

"It's my first time experiencing this, and [the cast and crew] have been so loving and supportive of me, you know, accidentally getting pregnant right before the show started," Gina elaborated. "Me and my husband are obviously very excited about it, but it definitely wasn't planned."

The Hollywood star then went on to explain how Not Dead Yet’s executive producer Dean Holland helped to come up with some unique ways to cover up her growing baby bump on screen.

“He helped all the directors come up with very creative ways to either cover the belly, whether it was costumes or my cubicle, or a plant or refrigerator,” Gina teased.

The mum-to-be reminisced on the panic she felt on set surrounding her pregnancy being visible to the viewers. "I'll never forget, because each day I felt like, 'I'm so big, I can't imagine hiding [this]' and now I look back and I'm like, 'That was nothing’”, Gina joked. 

However, the Someone Great star praised her fellow cast and crew members for helping her to feel at ease. "They figured it out and my costars helped figure it out and the crew, so it was a very loving, protective set.”

Gina decided to announce on her 38th birthday that she was expecting her first child, after 3 years of marriage with Joe.

“This birthday hits different,” she teased on Instagram in July of last year, with a video montage concluding with Gina and Joe showing off their positive pregnancy test.

Celebrities from around the world have been paying tribute to Lisa Marie Presley, who has suddenly passed away.

It was announced in the early hours of this morning that the only child of rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley had died aged 54, following a cardiac arrest.

In a statement released to the publication People, Lisa Marie’s mother Priscilla confirmed her daughter’s passing. 

"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” the 77-year-old shared.

The wider Presley family then went on to release a statement in honour of Lisa Marie’s life.

"Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie," the family said in a statement.

"They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time,” the statement added.

Concerns surrounding Lisa Marie’s health were initially reported by TMZ, who stated that the singer had been found ‘unresponsive’ at her home. Her death comes just shy of 48 hours after she attended the Golden Globes awards ceremony to celebrate Elvis, a biopic of her father, starring actor Austin Butler.

Celebrities and friends of the 53-year-old have since been taking to social media to express their condolences and heartache over her sudden death. 

“Lisa baby girl, I’m so sorry,” wrote Grease actor John Travolta. “I’ll miss you but I know I’ll see you again. My love and heart goes out to Riley, Priscilla, Harper and Finley.”

“We are heartbroken over the loss of Lisa Marie Presley. Absolutely broken…”, penned Rita Wilson and her husband Tom Hanks, who also starred in Elvis.

“My heart breaks for you and your beautiful family and your children. The world lost a rare gem today. May your soul rest in peace, friend,” the 43-year-old added.

Lisa Marie is survived by her mother Priscilla, eldest daughter Riley, and teenage twin daughters Finley and Harper. Her death also follows the sudden passing of her son Benjamin, who took his own life in July 2020 at the age of 27.

Mark Wahlberg and his wife Rhea have been celebrating their youngest daughter Grace turning 13 years old. 

Model Rhea took to Instagram to share a glimpse into Grace’s special day which they celebrated in Las Vegas. She posted a group photo surrounded by friends and a snap of her brilliant horse-themed birthday cake.

On Wednesday, Rhea shared a moving birthday message for her youngest to her 194K Instagram followers with a collection of adorable photos. Some show Grace riding horses, while another shows her as a baby and a third was taken on her Communion day. 

“WHAT?!?!? I love you more than words can describe. Happy Birthday my little lady”, the mum-of-four penned.

Mark has previously spoken proudly about his daughter’s love of horse riding and show jumping. The 51-year-old explained, “She's already travelling the world, jumping horses and doing her thing”.

“Of course, she picked the most expensive sport possible”, the Golden Globe Award winner joked.

The couple tied the knot in August 2009 in Beverly hills and went on to have four children together. As well as having Grace, Mark and Rhea share 19-year-old Ella Rae, 16-year-old Michael and 14-year-old Brendan.

Mel C, former member of the hit band the Spice Girls, is celebrating her 49th birthday today, January 12, and has been flooded with sweet messages from most of her former band members. 

Tributes poured in on social media for Melanie with Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham leading the lovely birthday wishes.

Emma Bunton shared an adorable video collage with their song Stop playing in the background. The clips show the pair over the years up until the present day, from dancing in music videos to performing on stage together. 

Baby Spice captioned the post, “Hey birthday girl, my bestie @melaniecmusic! Have the best day. Sending lots of Bunton hugs. ‘Cause we’ve always got each other’”.

Ginger Spice opted to post a collection of photos with a sweet caption referencing their song Say You’ll Be There.

Posh Spice went for a different way to reflect back on her friendship with Mel C by sharing a snippet from their 1997 movie Spice World.

The video shows Victoria trying to choose an outfit while Mel poked fun at her because she always wears the same style of dress.

Next Monday, January 16, is Blue Monday which is supposedly the most depressing day of the year, which isn’t exactly something we’re looking forward to.

Research has found that the third week in January is when we are at our lowest because let’s face it, it’s still freezing cold, the days are darker, we’re broke because we haven’t been paid in weeks, we’re not socialising after the busy Christmas period, and we’ve probably not booked any holidays!

It’s no surprise this is when we can lose motivation and start failing our New Year’s resolutions, but, Lindt has come to save the day and give us a boost.

Dr Cliff Arnall, a tutor at Cardiff University’s Centre for Lifelong Learning, originally came up with the concept of Blue Monday in 2005. He calculated it using a series of factors, such as days since last pay day, days until the next Bank Holiday, average temperature, hours of daylight and numbers of nights in, meaning this Monday is not normally one to look forward to.

With this in mind, Lindt has decided to combat the trend of the most depressing day of the year by brightening the days of some lucky commuters in Dublin with a little red LINDOR bliss on Blue Monday!

The world-famous Swiss chocolate brand will be in Connolly Station in Dublin on Blue Monday handing out FREE LINDOR treat bars of chocolate to give the public a little pep in their step!

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu might not be able to attend the launch of Dancing On Ice!

The reigning Love Island winner is currently signed up for the brand new series of the ITV competition show, which is due to launch this Sunday night, January 12. However, the 28-year-old Turkish actress has since revealed today that she isn’t feeling her best.

Taking to Twitter earlier today, she shared a worrying update with her 104.7K followers. “Very ill,” she stated. “doctors have told me to rest hopefully I can recover very quickly ready for Sunday,” Ekin-Su added, along with a prayer hands emoji.

Ekin-Su had previously warned her fans that she hasn’t been feeling well for some time. “Had this flu for over a month now!”, she posted on Twitter yesterday. “Not what you need for the live show Sunday! Need to rest”.

Luckily for the reality star, however, it appears as though she has got an abundance of love and support around her as she tries to get well enough to make her skating debut.

Taking to Instagram earlier this afternoon, Ekin-Su’s boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti, with whom she won the eighth series of Love Island last summer, posted a heartfelt snap of himself cuddling his girlfriend in bed.

“Someone’s home with the fever,” Davide wrote in his caption, alongside an ill person emoji. “In good hands tho”, he added sweetly.

Ekin-Su was first announced as a Dancing On Ice contestant back in October of last year, to the delight of Love Island fans. In true Ekin-Su fashion, she has already stated that she is in it to win it. “Yes I am, otherwise I'm not doing it,” she explained at the press launch for Dancing On Ice earlier this month. 

“I don't mind going home early but my mind doesn't work like that. If I'm doing it, I'm putting 100 per cent in,” she insisted.

Fingers crossed Ekin-Su will be able to make her ice debut on Sunday!

Stacey Solomon is ready to become a mum-of-five any day now!

The former X Factor star was speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, making her first TV appearance since she announced her surprise pregnancy on December 28. Stacey is currently eight months pregnant with her third child with husband Joe Swash.

Stacey glowed on the Lorraine set as she wore a stunning sky blue dress, which perfectly accentuated her baby bump. In the interview, the 33-year-old exclaimed to presenter Lorraine Kelly how excited she is to welcome her new arrival.

"Yeah, nearly there now, very soon. We are just so grateful,” Stacey gushed. 

“It was a surprise but we’re so grateful to have this again. We love being parents and can’t believe how lucky we have been,” the mum-of-four added.

As she revealed that she is due to give birth “any minute” now, Stacey kept things lighthearted by teasing, "You could be delivering it Lorraine!".

Stacey’s pregnancy update comes as the Tap To Tidy author shared how she is preparing to add another addition to her loving family.

On her Instagram stories yesterday, Stacey shared a montage video with her 5.5M followers, showcasing how she is re-purposing several of the items she used during the newborn stage with her one-year-old daughter Rose.

Revealing a stunning wicker cot furnished with adorable blankets, Stacey wrote: “Doesn’t feel like yesterday I bought this cot for Rose, & I was so sad when she grew out of it.”

“I never took it out of the front room because I didn’t want to let go,” she joked. “Which worked out well because now we get to use it all over again and I can’t wait,” she gushed further.

Stacey and Joe’s proud new addition will be joining daughter Rose and their three-year-old son Rex when the little one arrives this month. The tots are Stacey’s youngest children in her family, alongside 14-year-old Zachary and 10-year-old Leighton from her previous relationships, and Joe’s 15-year-old son Harry.

Today, January 12, marks one year since the tragic death of primary school teacher Ashling Murphy. 

The 23-year-old was going for a run in Tullamore, Co.Offaly when she was murdered in broad daylight.

A memorial mass for Ashling, who touched the hearts of many people with her love of music, education and sport, will be held today at 7pm in St. Bridget’s Church, Mountbolus in Co.Offaly.

Last night, on the eve of the one year anniversary of her death, Ashling’s boyfriend, Ryan, shared a moving statement for the young woman he described as his “soulmate”.

Alongside a photo of the couple on Ashling's graduation day, Ryan posted the emotional message on the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund page. 

He wrote, “Time can move at a pace which can be impossible to comprehend but one thing for sure is no matter how fast time may pass, there isn’t a single second that goes by where my heart doesn’t ache for you”.

“There’s a saying that goes…“You don’t know what you have until you lose it”…but the reality is, we both knew exactly what we had, exactly what we wanted, it’s just we never thought we’d lose it”.

He continued, “You are the one who has made me the person I am today, the only reason I get out of bed every morning, the only reason I got through graduation, the only reason I’ve continued on and started my working career”.

“Everything I have done and everything that I do is completely for you. I Love and miss you so much Ash. Forever my soulmate”.

Ashling’s family have asked for privacy, and for privacy to be extended to her friends and loved ones as they remember Ashling.

The lineup for this week’s edition of The Late Late Show has just been released, and it’s a cracker!

Brian Cox, one of the biggest stars of HBO's Succession, will be joining presenter Ryan Tubridy live in the studio. Last, but by no means least, a huge Irish trad session will be taking over the Late Late studio this week! To celebrate the return of TradFest Temple Bar later this month, Ryan will be joined by some of Ireland’s most talented musicians and singers, including the likes of Mike Hanrahan, Aisling Lyons, Tommy Hayes and Sorcha Costello.

Plus, family performers Cuckoo’s Nest, who found stardom in November on the Toy Show, will return for a performance and a quick catch-up.

Love Island is set to hit our screens on January 16, but the show has revealed a major twist for this year’s winter series

Sharing the news earlier this morning, Love Island announced that viewers will get to vote on who they think the first bombshell should be to arrive at the villa.

“Who will be the first bombshell? YOU decide”, teased the dating show’s Instagram page. “Head to the app now to vote to send Ellie or Tom into the villa! Vote closes at 9pm on Friday 13th January”. 

Fans of the show wasted no time in sharing their opinions of who they want to be the first bombshell in the post’s comments. 

“So we’re all picking Tom then? Okay”, wrote one fan while a second penned, “Tom all the way”.

This is not the only change-up that’s happening in this year’s winter series as Laura Whitmore has passed the hosting torch to Maya Jama. 

As well as a new presenter for the main show, the Morning After podcast also has new hosts- Indiyah Polack and Sam Thompson. The pair will also be joining Maya on Aftersun to chat all about couplings and bombshells. 

The line-up for this year’s show was announced earlier this week with a mix of people including farmer and TikToker Will, biomedical science student Tanya, make-up artist Lana and airport security officer Shaq.

We can’t wait for the winter series to kick off and see which bombshell gets voted in first. Who are you picking?
