If you've ever been on Tinder, a dating website, or even just existed somewhere on the internet, then you have probably been approached by a stranger looking for nudes.

The phrase 'send nudes' has become ingrained in popular culture, as both a joke and as a genuine request.

While it's all fun and games for some adults to exchange racy pictures to partners they trust, it's another thing for children and teens to be approached by strangers online looking to take advantage of their naivety.

YOUWANTNUDES

In many cases, sextortion can turn an exchange of flirty photos into a tragedy.

Sextortion is the act of sending someone a nude, and then having them extort you for more sexual content while threatening to leak, release or send the images they already have to your friends, family or workplace if you don't comply.

It's a concept explored by TV dramas like Black Mirror and exposed in hard-hitting documentaries like Stalking Amanda Todd.

The Canadian Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children has created a new campaign to combat the issue, through the use of a pretty odd animal.

The campaign curaters have created a series of GIFs, images and videos which describe why teens should send pictures of naked mole rats to nude-seekers when asked, rather than an actual pic in the nip.

'Simply put, sextortion is blackmail,' says the CSPCC.

'It’s when someone threatens to send a sexual image or video of you to other people if you don’t pay them or provide more sexual content.'

'Unfortunately, sextortion has been on the rise lately. But there are ways to prevent and fight it.'

And these ways include sending a sassy naked mole rat as a response to that demanding message.

Next time we get a thirsty lothario in our DMs, we know what we're sending back.

Obviously we all love our jobs, but some days you just can't help but watch the clock as the minutes slide by at a glacial pace.

It's Friday, and it's about to be a bank holiday, so we're dying to get stuck into the weekend as soon as possible.

Luckily, it's Leave the Office Early Day, and we're down for any international event that lets us clock out a tad earlier than usual.

Employees are encouraged to ask their bosses if they can leave work early when they complete all their tasks for the day.

So the sooner you finish your work, the sooner you can head home (if you have a super sound employer).

This unofficial holiday is celebrated annually on June 2, unless it falls on a weekend.

If it happens on a weekend, it's moved to the next Monday.

We can think of a few things we'd rather be doing than hanging around the office this evening…

The Great Barrier Reef is one of the world's most beautiful habitats, and is home to hundreds of marine life species.

One resident of the reef is being negatively impacted by human pollution and chemicals.

The green sea turtle has been found to have been impacted by contamination, researchers found.

Human medications, pesticides, herbicides and industrial chemicals have all been found in the blood streams of the sea creatures, according to the World Wildlife Fund.

'What you put down your sink, spray on your farms, or release from industries ends up in the marine environment and in turtles in the Great Barrier Reef,' said environmental chemist Amy Heffernan from the University of Queensland

'Humans are putting a lot of chemicals into the environment and we don't always know what they are and what effect they are having, we need to be conscious of that,' she said.

A post shared by Sea Turtles (@sea_turtle_) on

'There is one new chemical registered for use every six seconds, so the libraries and the databases that we use to identify these chemicals just can't keep up.'

Turtles from multiple areas were tested by the researchers.

Chemical exposure has been linked to stress and other negative side effects in marine wildlife.

The turtles tested were already showing indications of inflammation and liver dysfunction.

Moral of the story? Be careful what you pour down the sink.

Today, an internal election will take place in the Dail to decide who will lead the Fine Gael party.

Members of the Fine Gael parliamentary party will vote this morning between 9am and 12 noon.

This morning, Taoiseach Enda Kenny took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the election and candidates, and expressed words of support for both.

'I remember this day almost 15 years ago & the sense of excitement & possibility.'

'On this very important day in their lives, I want to wish both @simoncoveney and @campaignforleo every good wish in today's election.'

'Their participation in this internal election has been democratically valuable & has energised the @FineGael party across Ireland.'

There is nothing better than a bank holiday, but those three-day weekend feels can be marred by heavy traffic.

Motorists are reminded to pay extra attention while driving over the weekend due to the bank holiday traffic.

AA Roadwatch is reminding drivers that there will be tourists on the roads as well, who will be driving unfamiliar routes.

'Well we expect traffic volumes to pick up earlier than usual in the cities as people leave work early for the Bank Holiday,' AA Roadwatch's Lauren Beehan told Breaking News.

'It's likeliest to be busiest around 1pm and 6pm, as well as the commuter routes in the cities you can expect delays in places like Naas, Adare and Carrick on Shannon,' she said.

Clueless was one of the most iconic movie of the nineties, and to this day it holds a special place in our hearts.

It bought laughter, tears, and most importantly, some of the greatest costume to ever grace the big screen screen.

Cher's designer wardrobe was the envy of every budding fashionista, but as it turns out, the actress who played the role wasn't such a big fan.

In a recent interview with ET, Alicia Silverstone revealed that she didn't quite grasp the importance of the outifts.

“At that time of my life, I wore jeans and a green t-shirt every single day and that was it. I just didn't get fashion at all. I was just kind of a tomboy and I just wasn't into it.”

“I just didn't get it until I saw the movie and then I was like 'oh I get it.. the costumes are the star of the movie'”

She also admitted that even though she was able to take many of the items home once filming had wrapped, she ended up giving most of them away because she didn't know how to incorporate them into her everyday style.

We'd say she only kicking herself now.

Just imagine how much that iconic yellow suit would be worth today.

So, the world's first anti-aging gin has just landed in Ireland and we are very, very intrigued.

CollaGin's (wahey!) unique recipe stays true to that of a classic gin, but there's one major twist – and it comes in the form of pure collagen.

The unique drink is the brainchild of Liz Beswick and Camilla Brown, two PR girls turned 'gintreprenurs'.

The business savvy pair saw a gap in the market for a collagen distilled spirit, and quite frankly, we're just sad we didn't think of it first.

CollaGin's official website lists a number of serving suggestions, including something called 'The Elixir' which got us very excited.

Check out the recipe below.

  • 60ml CollaGin

  • 30ml lemon juice

  • 15ml 2:1 sugar syrup

  • 15ml egg white

  • Top up with soda

''Combine the CollaGin, lemon, sugar and egg white in a cocktail over ice and shake hard for 15 seconds. Strain into a small, chilled wine glass. Garnish with pink peppercorns and a sprig of mint.''

If you fancy getting your hands on a bottle, CollaGin is now available at The Loop in Dublin Airport and will cost you €60.00.

Meet Haru and Ryo, the Japanese couple who just tied the knot in a ceremony fit for any Disney princess.

They met through a mutual friend and dated long-distance for six years.

But, it wasn't until a massive earthquake hit Japan that they decided they didn't want to be apart anymore, and so Ryo moved to Tokyo.

After 13 years together, the pair decided to tie the knot in the fairytale surroundings of the Tokyo Disney Sea resort.

Their lavish wedding gowns gave a subtle nod to the outfits worn by characters Anna and Elsa in Frozen.

Each bride wore a custom sash around her waist, one green and one blue.

And of you thought this love story couldn't get any cuter, you'd be wrong.

It turns out Haru and Ryo actually got engaged at the same Disney resort during a Halloween festival.

Dressed as Flynn Rider from Tangled, Ryo got down on one knee and proposed to Haru, who was dressed as Rapunzel.

Told you it got better.

Although same-sex marriage is not currently legal in Japan, couples have been able to get "Partnership Certificates" since 2015.

Speaking to Buzzfeed, Haru said, "Something that normally gets done with a piece of paper does not apply to us. That is why having a ceremony is meaningful. Saying the vows in front of everyone and being treated as a married couple makes us one."

The couple are planning to start a family of their own and we're sure they'll live happily ever after.

Children's Minister, Katherine Zappone, has said she would be in favour of examinations at the sites of other mother and baby homes.

Speaking in the Dáil today, she announced the appointment of a forensic archaeologist who will lead a team of experts which will assess the future of the former mother and baby home in Tuam, Co. Galway.

She also told her colleagues that the dignity and memory of those children who died at the home needed to be respected and that she hopes to build consensus among survivors about what should happen next.

As well as that, the Minister assured the Dáil that the process of examination would be transparent and open.

“We have made too many decisions in this country in the dark,” she said.

“We are not going to do that again in relation to Tuam.”

Speaking to reporters this evening, Ms Zappone said:

"If there is the possibility for remains of children that are unidentified in other homes, in terms of what I've heard and what I feel, yes I would like to see the possibility of work done in that regard," she said.

"That's why what we're trying to do in Tuam is so significant and frankly it's unparalleled throughout the world."

This comes after the remains of over 800 babies were found at the Tuam site during a test excavation in October 2016.
