It's a well know fact that the French are not embarrassed by the human form, and with a host of beaches, campsites and pools dedicated to those you prepare to love their lives sans clothing, a restaurant made especially for nude diners was the next natural step.

According to Le Parisen, the aptly named O'naturel restaurant opened to the public last Friday after successfully it welcomed the Paris Naturist Association for dinner on Thursday night.

On the surface, O'naturel looks like any other Parisian establishment. The space is large enough to hold up to 40 customers and the menu offers a classic array of French dishes – oh, and of course, there's plenty of wine too.

As guests enter the premises they are directed into a cloakroom where they can strip off and store their clothes, before taking a seat and settling in for one of the most intimate dining experiences the city has to offer.

“We propose you to taste a bistronomic and refined cuisine in a sober and friendly environment,” says the restaurant.

“Whether you are already a naturist or want to try you will be delighted to experience this.”

So, if you're planning a trip to the French capital and fancy trying something a little bit different, you can book your table at O'naturel here.

If your anything like us, an impromptu browse through the makeup counters will generally result in one hand covered in liquid lipsticks and the other caked in every various shades of biege and orange.

After all, most of us wouldn't dream of picking up a new product without testing it first, right?

Well, according to experts, the old 'try before you buy' method could actually be doing us more harm than good.

One microbiologist has warned how in-store makeup testers could carry viruses such as herpes and salmonella.

It's thought that lip products could contain tiny droplets of saliva which could carry infections, while mascara wands and eyeliners shared among friends could lead to the spread of conjunctivitis and even pink-eye.

*shudders*

According to The Daily Mail, Dr Amreen Bashir, a microbiologist from Aston University in Birmingham, said: “Most people would never consider sharing a toothbrush with a stranger, yet they happily use make-up testers.”

“There is a real risk of catching bacterial infections and herpes, as we all have different organisms living on us and one cosmetic tester can be used by 30 or 40 different people, which spreads the risk of infection.”

And if that wasn't enough to turn you off makeup testers, studies have revealed that a massive 43 per cent of eyeliners and mascara wands contain contaminants of some kind.

Makeup brushes are another huge offender, with experts warning that they could contain bacteria including Staph aureus, E.coli and streptococcus.

Please excuse us while we decontaminate our entire makeup collections.

If you've been out for a few late ones in Dublin city over the past few months, you'll notice that it's becoming increasingly difficult to hail a taxi home.

And it looks like the problem is only going to get worse with one Dublin City Councillor warning that the capital could face a taxi shortage due to the rising costs of insurance premiums.

According to The Irish Examiner, Fianna Fáil's Pal McAuliffe said taxi drivers are being forced to leave the industry because they simply can not afford to keep their cabs on the road, or in some cases, because insurance companies won't even quote them.

He went on to say how he has already received a huge amount of complaints from Dublin residents who had been inconvenience by the lack of available taxis.

"Well we've seen increasingly over the past three years the cost of car insurance increase, but those in the taxi industry have been particularly impacted," he said.

"The real issue now is that we're being increasingly getting taxi drivers who are coming to us saying that they can't enter the market because insurance companies will not insure them.

"This week alone, I've had two people contacting me saying that they just cannot get a quote."

British comedian Jo Brand has received huge praise after she was forced to explain the seriousness of sexual harassment to an all-male panel on the hit BBC show Have I Got News For You.

This week's show featured team captains, Ian Hislop and Paul Merton, with guest panellists comedian Miles Jupp and columnist Quentin Letts.

While discussing a headline reporting that an MP had taken his personal trainer to the cinema, Ian said:  "Some of this is not high level crime is it, compared to say Putin or Trump?"

As host of the show, Jo felt it was her duty to explain why the panellists should be taking sexual harassment seriously.

“Can I just say as the only representative of the female gender here today, I know it's not high level, but it doesn't have to be high level for women to feel under siege in somewhere like the House of Commons,” she said.

Adding how being constantly harassed "even in a small way … builds up and wears you down."

The 60-year-old received huge cheers from the audience and viewers took to Twitter to shower her with praise.

Believe it or not, a new study has revealed that Irish men are a cut above their European counterparts when in it comes to household cleanliness.

Research conducted by the Dublin-based agency EuroFound, shows that 48 per cent of Irish males and 89 per cent of Irish females do housework on a daily basis.

According to The Irish Examiner, the figures put us way ahead of the European average which stands at just 34 per cent for men and 79 per cent for women.

What's more, the study also found that the sharing of household chores is more evenly divided between Irish men and women, in comparison to our most neighbours on the continent – (though Sweden and Latvia claimed the number one spot).

However, while these figures might seem like a positive result for the male population of Ireland, the 2017 Periscope Report from Bord Bia showed that Irish women still do the majority of food shopping and cooking, with just 29 per cent of men saying they take responsibility for meal preparations.

We still have some way to go when it comes to gender equality in Irish households, but hey, at least we know that, male or female, we're amongst the tidiest people in Europe.

“I've bullied women. I've overlooked women. I've underestimated women.”

He continued: “From time to time, I’ve done what a lot of men do, which is…when you don’t treat women the same way you treat men.”

Earlier this week, the 30 Rock star told reporters that he was unaware of the any allegations made against director James Toback, who has worked with on numerous occasions – a topic he seemed to touch in this in his speech.

Meanwhile, Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria have just announced that they are expecting their fourth child together.

A man has been slammed by Facebook users after he revealed that he wanted to ask his girlfriend to lose weight.

The man, who chose to remain anonymous, made the admission on the popular Humans of New York Facebook page – a photography project featuring a number of portraits and interviews collected in the streets of NYC.

In the post, he explained how his girlfriend's weight had bothered him since the beginning of their one-and-a-half year relationship, though he had hoped he would be able to “get past it.”

He went on to explain how he loves everything else about her, and doesn't want to end the relationship over that “one little reason.”

“It’s been 1.5 years. And I feel horrible, but I just can’t get past it. And I feel like a bad person for being bothered by it. I can’t bring myself to tell her,” he said.

“We’re going to couple’s therapy next week, but I still don’t think I’ll be able to say it. Is there any right way to ask someone to lose weight for you?”

Comments immediately began to flood in, with many users expressing their outrage at the man's comments.

"If you're concerned about her health, approach it from that angle. If you're concerned about her appearance, you should probably just stay single," one user wrote.

Another said: "No. You are the one with the problem, not her. Do her a favour and end it."

Speaking to The New York Post, couples counsellor, Rachel Sussman, gave her thought gave the issue:

“When you see your partner change significantly, it may change the way you feel about them,” she said.

“He might find [that he’s] attracted to someone else, that he has intimacy issues, that he loses attraction to his partners after a certain period of time — or he might be super immature.”

Other users were quick to jump to his defence, with one even describing his dilemma as a "natural issue."

"He’s asking for your advice, not your validation to hurt his girlfriend, which is obviously the last thing he wants to do. So stop attacking him for dealing with the way he feels in a really reasonable and self-reflective way."

Either way, I think we can all agree that Facebook probably isn't the best platform to seek advice for such a sensitive issue and an open and honest conversation bewtwen the pair is what's really needed.

As the last few fireworks light up the sky and the Christmas sections in shops getting bigger by the day, it's safe to say that winter 2017 is officially here.

And with that, there is a definite chill in the air as temperatures look set to plummet over the weekend.

Tonight will see temperatures drop to lows of one to five degrees, with gusty northwest winds set for the Atlantic coasts.

Tomorrow will be a cool but bright day with sunny spells as well as the odd shower over the northern half of the country. Highs of seven to 11 degrees.

Sunday night will see temperatures drop back to between one and five degrees once again, with some grass frost expected for the eastern half of the country.

It's a similar story for the rest of the week, with a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers.

Wrap up warm, ladies. It looks like we're in for a cold few months.

Netflix has cut ties with Kevin Spacey, the star of its show House of Cards, following allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour.

Earlier this week, the streaming service announced that it had suspended production of the political drama series' sixth and final season, and it had now emerged that Spacey's character, Frank Underwood, has been axed from the series completely.

“Netflix will not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey,” the company said in a statement late on Friday.

Earlier this week, Broadway actor, Anthony Rapp, claims Spacey tried to seduce him when he was just 14-years-old.

Spacey has since issued a statement saying he does not recall the incident and offered an apology before announcing that he is living his life “as a gay man.”

While it is unclear at this stage how producers will deal with his absence, it is understood that his departure may not mean the end of the show.

“While we continue the ongoing investigation into the serious allegations concerning Kevin Spacey’s behaviour on the set of House of Cards, he has been suspended, effective immediately,” Media Rights Capital, the company that produces the show, said in a statement.

“MRC, in partnership with Netflix, will continue to evaluate a creative path forward for the program during the hiatus.”

According to Variety, one scenario being discussed by producers is the option of killing off Spacey's character, and instead, have the sixth series focus his wife Claire, played by Robin Wright.
