‘Food regret’ is REAL. You know what we mean: that utter devastation when you realise you’ve made a grave error with your food choice.

And making it even worse is when your mate has picked the winner – and tucks in happily, blithely unaware you’re shooting her looks to kill.

Here are five times you’ve definitely experienced the pain that is food regret:

1. When you’ve dithered too long – and panicked

Panicked decisions are one of the main causes of food regret. You’ve been dithering for ages (because everything looks nice), but when the waiter arrives you blurt out the first thing you see on the menu. Noo!

2. When your date’s meal is WAY nicer

You were torn between two choices – so you pick one and your date picks the other. When the food arrives his is clearly the superior dish. Oh WHY didn’t we listen to our instincts?

3. When you’re trying to be ‘good’

So you order the kale salad while your BFF goes for a mahoosive burger with all the trimmings. Big mistake. HUGE.

4. When you thought you could watch a film without snacks

The queue for the snacks in the cinema is so long, you tell yourself you don’t need anything anyway. Cue the torture of listening to the sounds of munching and crunching throughout the movie, and you wishing to God you hadn’t made such a rash decision.

5. When you’ve made a grave takeout error

You went for Indian, your friend chose Thai. Suddenly you smell the lemongrass and chilli emanating from her dish and realise you’ve made a huge mistake. Of course you chance your arm at a swap, but she having none of it. Dammit!

We'll admit, back in the day Britney Spears was a total idol.

We all wanted to be like America's sweetheart… well, that is until her 2007 meltdown, but we all have rough times, eh?

She's been through her fair share of ups and downs, and now a movie is being made about her fall from grace.

According to Cosmo, the biopic is set to air on Lifetime in February, however, the woman herself has not given her blessing.

We'll admit that we'll watch the movie for our own guilty pleasure, however people are freaking over the cast.

Natasha Bassett will play Brit, while Nathan Keyes will take on the role of Justin Timberlake. Clayton Chitty has also been cast to play her ex-hubby, Kevin Federline.

Many have taken to Twitter to show their shock about the casting, because… well, it looks nothing like her:

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, filled with mulled wine, mince pies and selection boxes. Soo hard to resist…

BUT it seems like a diet rich in fresh fruit, vegetables, lean meats, and fresh fish – with the odd indulgence, is the best go-to, low maintenance, way to stay in shape.

Adriana Lima who follows a diet rich in fresh fish, fruit and vegetables, swears by her buckwheat shakes.

Lima suggests mixing with hemp milk (you could try almond) and honey.

2. Martha Hunt

Salad dodger Martha Hunt, eats plenty of meat and eggs to achieve and maintain her toned figure.

Martha ensures she has protein in every meal, due to her extensive workout regime which includes going to the gym, yoga and Pilates. She does admit to indulging in pizza from time to time though – well, she is only human after all!

“If my body is really craving something, I don’t deny it,” the model previously said. “You need to eat bad food in moderation. It’s good for peace of mind.”

3. Bridget Malcom

Vegan Bridget Malcom enjoys a diet rich in plant protein including almonds, soy, and tempeh.

In order to curb overeating, Bridget follows the Japanese principle ‘Eat until you are 80 percent full’, and leaves 12 hours between lunch and dinner.

4. Rachel Hilbert

Prone to suffering from food boredom, Rachel Hilbert frequents many New York restaurants such as the Souen, Soho which specialises in macrobiotic Japanese food.

When cooking at home, the Victoria Secrets' model regularly eats a breakfast of eggs and avocado, grilled chicken and avocado for lunch and baked white fish with vegetables for dinner.

Coming up to a show, Rachel admits: “I drink a lot of water. . . and I usually double the amount of greens I eat. They give you a glowing look.”

Strictly Come Dancing's Anton Du Beke is set to become a father for the first time after his girlfriend, Hannah Summer, became pregnant with twins through IVF.

The dancer is celebrating Hannah's pregnancy after years of trying to start a family.

He confirmed the news on Good Morning Britain: “Hannah and I are delighted to announce that we are expecting twins in the spring. We are over the moon!”

He further revealed that he's going to have a boy and a girl.

A source told The Sun: “Anton and Hannah are very happy together, and they decided some time ago that they were both ready to have children.

“Hannah didn’t fall pregnant quite as quickly as they would have liked and it was a source of worry for them for a while.

“Eventually they decided they wanted to try IVF treatment and they are delighted it has worked."

Hannah and Anton began dating six years ago after meeting at a golf club.

There were widespread reports yesterday that the infamous alcoholic beverage Four Loko was coming to Ireland.

The news came from a seemingly legitimate Facebook page called @FourLokoEire, who claimed that the cans would be available in Ireland in 2017.

SHEmazing! reached out to Phusion Projects, the company behind the drink, who said that they will not be coming to Ireland any time soon.

They also confirmed that the @FourLokoEire page was not affiliated with Four Loko in any way and was presumably a hoax.

"We currently have no definitive timetable as to when we may enter the market," said a Four Loko spokesperson.

Thanks for getting our hopes up lads.

The @FourLokoEire Facebook page was deleted after contacted by SHEmazing! regarding it's legitimacy. 

“WE'RE BRINGING FOUR LOKO TO IRELAND. It's the truth. Get excited,” the page previously claimed, in a post that had garnered thousands of likes.

For those not in the know, Four Loko is a malt liquor drink that is extremely popular with those on a J1.

The fizzy drink comes in a 750ml can, and has a 12% alcohol content.

Congratulations are in order for Skins and Maze Runner actress Kaya Scodelario – she has given birth to her first child with hubby, Benjamin Walker.

The pair welcomed a baby boy into the world and shared the news on Instagram last night.

 

Welcome to the world little man. We couldn't be happier or more in love with you & Arnie's loving his new cuddle buddy.

No details of his name have been revealed, but the picture is still totally adorable.

Congratulations are in order for Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis – they have welcomed their second child into the world!

Mila gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday, November 30.

Mila Kunis: I'm done tolerating sexism in the workplace

Mila and Ashton are a pretty private couple, however E! News has reported that they haven't chosen a name for their little bundle of joy yet.

The pair already have a two-year-old daughter, Wyatt Isabelle, and married in July 2015 after two years of dating.

British television star, Andrew Sachs, best known for playing Spanish waiter Manuel in Fawlty Towers has died. He was 86-years-old.

Andrew died last week in a care home after a four-year battle with vascular dementia.

His wife, Melody Lang, told the Daily Mail that he was buried last Thursday.

Andrew was born in 1930 in Berlin to a Jewish father and a Catholic mother. When he was 8 years old, he and his family moved to England to escape the Nazis.

He took on the role of Manuel in the 1970s, and since then has made several appearances in soaps such as Coronation Street.

Our thoughts are with his wife and three children.

It’s the telly highlight of the festive season, and we are counting down the hours until the Late Late Toy Show kicks off on RTÉ.

Every year, there is a unique and charming theme to the show – and this year is set to be a real corker.

The 2016 Late Late Toy Show is taking its inspiration from none other than The Jungle Book!

Each child participating on the show will be host Ryan Tubridy’s ‘jungle VIP’, with a whopping 72 performers delivering the show’s sure-to-be-magical opening number.

Rumour has it that Ryan’s costume for the night is ‘a sight to behold’, and the presenter can barely contain his delight.

“I am tremendously excited that we are doing The Jungle Book this year. It’s a great classic, a real family favourite and something which I think everyone can enjoy whether they’re young or old, boy or girl,” he said.

Looking ahead to the big show, Ryan added: “I may not be the king of the singers, but I hope that for a couple of hours tonight people will get a chance to settle down with the family and forget about all their worries and their strife.”

Over 320 children from all over the country are set to play special roles in tonight’s show, with all toys featured being donated to charity afterwards.

Buying presents for the lad in our life isn’t exactly a walk in the park.

On April 17 2014, four-year-old Ciarán Treacy tragically lost his life when the car he was a passenger in was hit by a drunk-driver.

He was travelling with his mum, Gillian, and brother, Seán, at the time; Gillian was left with devastating injuries.

In an effort to raise awareness of the devastating reality of drink driving, Ciaran’s mum and his dad, Ronan, have worked tirelessly over the past year on the RSA Crashed Lives campaign.

The video further aims to demonstrate the ripple effect that a collision such as the tragic one experienced by the Treacy family has on all who knew the little boy.

A report launched earlier this year, showed that alcohol contributed to 38 percent of collisions between 2008 and 2012.

In this period, drink driving claimed the lives of 286 people – a shocking loss of life.

Imagine having FREE McDonald's for the rest of your life?

You could have all the Big Macs, McNuggets and McFlurries you wanted. It seems like a nice dream, but in fact, the McDonald's gold card is practically impossible to get your hands on.

The card, which gives you access to free food, is only given to elite members of society – like Bill Gates and Rob Low who both have one over in the US.

Very few normal folk are able to get hold of one, except for one man, who was just about to eat a Big Mac when he saw a woman about to be kidnapped.

He rushed to her rescue, and because he had to leave his burger behind, McDonald's gave him the coveted card which entitled him to free McDonald's at all locations for a year and unlimited McDonald's for the rest of his life in his hometown of Ohio.

However, according to Mirror Online, nobody in the UK has one, so chances of someone in Ireland having one are slim… unless you're Bono. He probably has one…
