We did it with Take Me Out, we did it with First Dates, and now we're doing it with Googlebox.

While we mightn't have the best one-liners when vying for a stranger's attention, and our first date etiquette leaves a lot to be desired, there's one thing us Irish can do better than anyone else.

And that – as we all know – is happily rip the p*ss out of any eejit who pontificates, jazz-hands or basically has the audacity to appear on our television screens night in, night out.

And the makers of the smash-hit Channel 4 show want to know all about it.

With the Irish version of the show set to hit our screens this autumn, the good folk behind the reality show want to remind the Irish public that there's still enough time to put yourself forward for inclusion.

Darren Smith, Managing Director of Kite Entertainment, makers of Gogglebox in Ireland has officially put the call out, saying: "We want to show decent Irish families who are likable, while being unique and different at the same time."

"We did street casting and went out and about, eavesdropping on the DART, and in cafés all over Ireland," he explained.

"The people we’ve seen so far are really good but there’s always telly gold out there," he continued. "We’re still interested in having a chat with families and individuals who’d like to take part."

The makers are looking for approximately ten families who think they might be the next Moffatts, Michaels or Siddiquis.

What are you waiting for?!

When it comes to eating out in our capital city, us Dublin-based foodies have a pretty sweet deal, but it's about to get even better.

According to Lovin Dublin, America's favourite burger joint is about to make its way over to the Emerald Isle, and we are PUMPED.

Five Guys – the restaurant which gives food coma a whole new meaning  – will be setting up shop in Dundrum Town Centre this autumn.

From providing us with their famous double burgers and cajun fries to keeping our drinks topped up for free, we haven't been this excited about the arrival of an American chain in years.

While those in the know – AKA people who have sampled the delights while Stateside – have no bother hopping up to Belfast for its famous 'fast casual' food, the fact it's fianlly coming to the Republic is definitely something to celebrate.

According to The Independent, the lease agreement has been officially signed off between Five Guys and Hammerson, the owners of Dundrum Town Centre.

All that's left to do now is start planning our first official feast in there.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know that the United States is currently in a state of major upheaval.

From the presidential campaign to ongoing debates on gun control, the vast majority of US citizens are doing their utmost to ensure their voices are heard.

So, it's no surprise that Meghan Trainor's recent admission has gone down like a led balloon with the American public this week.

Speaking to Billboard, the 22-year-old singer admitted that she has never exercised her right to vote nor does she have any intention of doing so.

"I’ve never voted and I don’t have any desire to," she admitted in a decision which has stunned thousands of her fans and followers.

"I should be way more aware, and if it was Hillary Clinton or Trump I’d definitely vote for her," the singer confided in an ill-advised commentary on her own understanding of politics and the issues which affect her fans and fellow countrymen.

Unsurprisingly, people have taken to Twitter in their droves to slam Meghan's remarks and call her out on her supposed hypocrisy.

We bet she's regretting those comments now…

When it comes to celebs and their tats, we kind of feel like we've seen it all…until now, that is.

From Cheryl's ginormous floral inking to Chantelle Connolly's neck tat, nothing surprises anymore, but then Zayn Malik went and pulled out all the stops for his latest tattoo.

Taking to Instagram to share a snap of his work, tattoo artist, jonboytattoo, showed fans and followers what the former 1D member opted for, this week and it's divided pretty much everyone here at SHEmazing! HQ today.

May the force be with you @zayn #uvink #starwars #jonboytattoo

With more than a passing nod to the Star Wars franchise, Gigi's bae went for a light saber…on his middle finger…which glows in the dark.

Tagging the Pillowtalk singer in the post, jonboytattoo wrote: "May the force be with you. @zayn #uvink #starwars #jonboytattoo"

The upload, which has attracted serious attention on Instagram today has been inundated with comments from people only dying to get one of their own.

"That's so sick!! Where was this tattoo done!?" gushed one while another insisted "I need one of those!"

The more we look at it, the more it's growing on us…

We’ve all been there; you’re having the absolute time of your life at a festival when you suddenly realise you’re doing the Robot alone.

Having become separated from your mates, you instinctively reach for your phone only to see it’s on 2% and will keel over and die if you even try to unlock it.

Thankfully, the good folk at Three know this struggle all too well and are all about keeping music-fans at Longitude connected this weekend.

For just €10, festival-goers will be able to purchase a portable power bank which can be exchanged for fully charged banks throughout the festival, and if this doesn’t suit, you can opt to leave the phone in to charge for free.

With this year’s Longitude app brimming with maps, handy alerts  and info on your favourite acts, we’re definitely making the most of this one!

Charge 'er up, lads.

After ten years of asking for a puppy on our birthday, most of us admitted defeat, quietly played with our Trolls and wondered why our parents were so goddamn selfish.

And while most of us here at SHEmazing! HQ assumed we'd gotten over the anguish, recent developments have confirmed that we're still struggling to deal with the pent-up childhood frustration.

With reports emerging that Prince George is set to get a Bolonki Zwetna puppy for this third birthday, we're finding it really hard to keep ourselves from picking up the phone and demanding an explanation from our parents.

According to the Daily Mail, little George will soon be the proud owner of a dog that looks like something straight out of a cartoon.

Commenting on Kate and Will's choice, an insider told the paper: "Bolonka Zwetnas are energetic, sturdy and playful — perfect for George."

"And while they have a tendency to suffer hip dysplasia, they also have a love of sitting on laps for warmth," the insider said in an explanation which had us whimpering into our hands.

According to those in the know, a Bolonko Zwetna can set a dog-lover back £1,800, but it's worth every damn penny from where we're standing.

If an afternoon spent lazing by the Spanish Arch and a night spent living it up in the Róisín Dubh – no shifting, mind – is your idea of heaven, you'll be pumped for the gorgeous city of Galway today.

Following long campaigns from Limerick, Galway and a three-pronged approach from Wexford, Waterford and Kilkenny, the judges have spoken and have today crowned Galway the Irish European Capital of Culture 2020.

Having arrived in Ireland last weekend, a panel of ten judges toured the cities vying for the coveted position, and ultimately chose the home of the Claddagh ring in a decision which has delighted thousands today.

Urging all those involved to pursue their ideas despite not winning, Creative Europe tweeted:"Well done to @Limerick2020 and @3sisters2020 on their wonderful campaigns for #ECoC2020 – keep the ideas alive,"

Commenting on the visit prior to today's announcement, a spokesperson for the Galway entry said: "The judges did a tour of our programme for the City of Culture and met artists and arts providers and visited many of the attractions that we hope will clinch the title for Galway."

Social media has gone into overdrive since the announcement was made at noon, with the overjoyed community taking to Twitter in their droves to celebrate the wonderful news.

Congrats, lads!

There’s an episode of Sex and the City – season four: episode eight, fact fans – where Carrie is forced to acknowledge that the laptop which has kept her in Manolos has finally kicked the bucket.

After losing much of her work and having a meltdown any technophobe would recognise at 50 paces, she’s asked countless times by numerous people why she didn’t have the foresight to ‘back up’ her work.

And eventually she blows.

Confronting the ever-organised and uber-practical Miranda, Carrie insists “You know, no one talks about backing up.”

“You've never used that expression with me before, ever. But apparently, everybody's secretly running home at night and backing up their work.”

As a 16-year-old I could empathise with her frustration, but as a 29-year-old the outburst has taken on a much deeper, more profound meaning.

There comes a point during your busy life pretending to ‘adult’ that you realise not everyone is actually pretending alongside you.

And I’m not talking about the real adults here – they are, of course, adulating like good things – but your friends, peers and co-workers.

You’ll be given hints every now and then which you’ll choose to ignore – passing references to saving accounts and multivitamins – but, like the moment you almost miss a step on the stairs, you’ll suddenly realise that everyone has been running home and backing up without you.

But instead of just investing in an external hard drive on the sly, they’ve been opening separate savings accounts, enquiring about pension plans, and putting money aside every single month which they – and this is the important part – do not touch.

You soon realise that when they say they’re broke, it doesn't mean they actually want to go halves on a Candy Floss machine – which you insist you can share joint custody of – and just unfortunately don't have the money this time around.

Oh, they have the money alright, but they just have better things to spend it on.

When they give the property pages more than a passing glance and reveal – usually after a night of drinking – that they have a five-year-plan and a few thousand in the Credit Union, you’ll realise that this has all been done without your consultation or express permission.

‘Weren’t we all in this together?’ you’ll ask as you moodily scuff your toe into the ground and wonder at what point they decided to actually grow up and you decided that Tupperware was where you’d draw the line.

Realising that countless people in my circle had been ‘running home and backing up in secret’ has made my descent into the dirty thirties – 10 months, three weeks and four days but who’s counting? – all the more traumatic.

While many of us might seek comfort in memes which remind us that our 20s are a time for multiple f*ck-ups, long romantic walks to the fridge and numerous career lowlights, many more have used the latter half of the decade to get their life together and plan for the future.

The more mature among you might suggest I take inspiration from my more practical peers, learn how to drive, answer those letters from the bank and educate myself on the nutritional value of avocados.

But my spirit-animals reading this will acknowledge the situation for the clusterf*ck it really is  –  a downright abuse of trust and a total disregard for my feelings.

And if anyone needs me, I’ll be in my fort.

It's finally happened – Tom Hiddleston has broken his silence on the romance which has captivated the world since it all kicked off a few weeks ago.

While the romantics among us have enjoyed watching Taylor Swift fall head over heels for Tom Hiddleston, the cynics among us have enjoyed pouring scorn on the budding new romance at every opportunity.

From the not-so-candid beach shots to the 'I Heart TS' vest, the whirlwind relationship has been a little much for many of us to bear, and it looks like Mr. Hiddleston has decided it's time to address the critics.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the Thor actor confirmed that his romance with Tay was as real as it gets, saying: "The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together and we're very happy,"

Responding to the countless suggestions that Tom had been caught up in the now infamous Taylor Swift publicity machine, the British star dismissed them unequivocally.

"That's the truth," he insisted. "It's not a publicity stunt."

With Taylor's former bae, Calvin Harris, having this week called Taylor out on her feud with Katy Perry as well as her decision to leak news she had written one of his tracks, Tom may have thought his girlfriend really needed a win this week.

So that's it then, it's NOT a publicity stunt…

When it comes to our prosecco, we’re generally pretty happy as long as it’s cold and fizzy, but it looks like the good folk behind Thomson & Scott want so much more for us!

In a world first, the luxury drink specialists have launched a prosecco which contains less than 50 percent of the usual sugar content generally added in the production process.

And we all know what that means, don't we? That's right, ladies; a night on the prosecco with the girls is now officially good for you.

Both organic and vegan certified, this incredible new prosecco – with origins in the Italian province of Treviso – is described as ‘light and refreshing’ with ‘floral and apple aromas’.

Speaking exclusively to SHEmazing!, Amanda Thomson, founder and creator of Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco said: "The reaction we’ve had to the arrival of Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco in Ireland has already been amazing."

With a nod to the concern growing around sugar consumption, Amanda continued: "I’m committed to changing the way in which we consume sugar without compromising on quality and taste."

"I think this Irish launch is the start of something big amongst those who loves bubbles but want less sugar in their lives," she added.

If you – like us – can barely wait to get your hands on a bottle, you can order in cases of six from the Wines of the World website.

Just a couple of weeks after demanding that the public respect the privacy of both herself and her baby son, Briana Jungwirth, who shares a child with 1D's Louis Tomlinson, has taken to Twitter to publicly deride his girlfriend.

After Danielle Campbell was spotted with Louis and baby Freddie on a beach in Malibu, Freddie's mum made her feelings for Danielle clear in a move which hasn't gone down too well on social media,

"You can pretend all you want but you will NEVER be my baby son's mother," Briana wrote in a post which has made headlines today.

While the LA-based stylist's tweet was liked more than 16,000 times, some social media users took issue with Briana's approach to the family matter.

"So funny that you're choosing to publicly tweet about personal matters despite crying for privacy days prior," wrote one Twitter user.

"You seriously cause unnecessary drama and then expect people to respect you and your privacy, like what?" added another.

Briana's tweet even caught the attention of celebrity blogger and former CBB contestant, Perez Hilton, who clearly had no time for it.

"Did you NEED to broadcast this to the world?" he asked. "You want her to be cold and bitchy to your kid? She did nothing wrong! Chill!!"

Louis has yet to respond to Briana's tweet, but something tells us he might not bother…
