They may be two of the most recognisable faces in the world right now, but that doesn't mean Gigi and Bella Hadid have the market cornered on everything as Instagram soon learned when footage of the siblings rapping Starships by Nicki Minaj made its way online this week.

Uploaded by the woman behind the 2012 track, the two Victoria's Secret angels can be seen giving it their all backstage, but not everyone is impressed.

"Even tho they are models and unreal please learn the words before you are posted on the World Wide Web," wrote one Instagram user. (sic)

"They can't do it like Nicki," added another while a fellow Nicki Minaj follower wrote: "New level of cringe."

We'll let Gigi and Bella take it from here…

There is sad news this morning as it has been confirmed that Debbie Reynolds passed away on Wednesday, just one day after her daughter, Carrie Fisher, died.

Her son, Todd Fisher, confirmed the sad news saying that the 84-year-old suffered a stroke just fifteen minutes after saying she would like to be with Carrie again.

“The last thing she said this morning was that she was very, very sad about losing Carrie and that she would like to be with her again,” her son Todd said, according to the Guardian.

“Fifteen minutes later she suffered a severe stroke.

“The only thing we’re taking solace in is that what she wanted to do was take care of her daughter, which is what she did best.”

Carrie's daughter and Debbie's granddaughter, Billie Lourd, took to Facebook to share a picture of the three generations following the sad news.

And tributes have been pouring in ever since news broke:

Debbie, who divorced Carrie's dad, Eddie Fisher, following his affair with Elizabeth Taylor, was famous for her role as Kathy Selden in Singin' in the Rain; many will also remember her for playing Grace's mother Bobbi on Will & Grace.

Earlier this week Ariana Grande took to Twitter to draw attention to an incident which took place between herself and a male fan.

Recalling the exchange, the 23-year-old singer told Twitter that she felt 'sick and objectified' after the man referred to her in degrading manner while speaking to her DJ boyfriend Mac Miller.

In a lengthy post on social media, Ariana called on female fans to speak out against individuals who objectify them – something which didn't sit well with all of her followers

Responding to the post, a number of Twitter users suggested Ariana was guilty of 'hypocrisy' considering the outfits she wears on stage and in video shoots.

"Ariana Grande literally parades around mostly naked & then has the gall to complain about being objectified? Wow," wrote one of the singer's followers.

Refusing to ignore the criticism, the singer returned to Twitter to address the accusations, writing: "Seeing a lot of "but look how you portray yourself in videos and in your music! You're so sexual!" ….

"I repeat expressing sexuality in art is not an invitation for disrespect !!! just like wearing a short skirt is not asking for assault."

"Women's choice. our bodies, our clothing, our music, our personalities….. sexy, flirty, fun. it is not. an open. invitation," she hammered home in a post which has amassed 98,000 likes.

"You are literally saying that if we look a certain way, we are yours to take. But we are not!!! It's our right to express ourselves," she finished.

Supporting Ariana, a fan of the star agreed with her stance, writing: "Her body, her choice and she deserves to be respected no matter what."

Agreed.

Way back in November 2015, Eric Schmidt shared a story involving his family which sounded so damn ridiculous, people struggled to believe it had actually happened.

And if you don't know what that story is about, fear not because it has in recent days the tale of Kitty and the Schmidt family has begun doing the rounds again online, and frankly we could listen to it over and over.

Sharing a screenshot of series of texts which were exchanged between Eric, his parents and his sister, we quickly learned that their pet cat, Kitty, had gone missing, and was tragically found dead soon after.

Or was she?

Well, according to Eric's parents, it turned out she was most definitely not dead – something they only realised after they buried what they believed was their beloved pet only to find her sitting in their home upon their return.

In a post which has racked up 31,000 likes over the past 12 months, it was revealed that instead of burying Kitty, Eric's parents actually buried something else – a rabbit.

And like any upstanding millennial, Eric did what we all do best – he shared it online, and made minor celebrities of his parents… and Kitty.

Take a bow, lads.

In a heartfelt and lengthy post on Twitter today, Ariana Grande has urged her fanbase to consider the implications of remarks they make towards women after she endured an upsetting encounter with a male fan.

Explaining that she and her boyfriend, Mac Miller, had bumped into a fan while picking up some food, Ariana went on to reveal that the exchange turned sour when the fan made degrading comments about the popular singer.

"He was loud and excited and by the time M was seated in the driver's seat, he was literally almost in the car with us," Ariana recalled.

"I thought all of this was cute and exciting until he said 'Ariana is sexy as hell man. I see you, I see you hitting that!!!'"

"Hitting that? The f**k??" Ariana continued in the post which has racked up 130,000 likes.

"This may not seem like a big deal to some of you but I felt sick and objectified. I was also sitting right there when he said it."

"It hurts my heart that so many young people are so comfortable using these phrases and objectifyin women with such ease," she wrote.

"I am not a piece of meat that a man gets to utilize for his pleasure. I'm an adult human being in a relationship with a man who treats me with love and respect."

Urging women to speak out against such behaviour, Ariana continued: "We need to talk about these moments openly because they are harmful and they live on inside of us as shame."

"We need to share and be vocal when something makes up feel uncomfortable because if we don't, it will just continue. We are not objects or prizes. We are QUEENS."

Ariana's post has been inundated with support since its upload eight hours ago, with one fan writing: "I actually respect the hell out of you for using your platform to speak up."

"I don't know if anyone has told you recently but you're amazing, loved and very appreciated," added another.

The singer's post has been re-tweeted more than 60,000 times.

Remember the last time you used an ice cream to declare your sexual preference?

Yeah us neither, but that's because we (like millions others) don't consider our love of Magnums indicative of anything other than, well, our love of Magnums.

British television presenter, Richard Hammond, on the other hand, is of the opinion that a grá for the dessert is more likely if you happen to be gay.

We know – our heads imploded too.

And, unsurprisingly, Twitter users have had had a field day over this, and wasted no time sharing their thoughts on the television presenter's bizarre remarks.
