The new Marks and Spencer’s Leading Ladies campaign features many empowering women in the public eye.

The campaign features many familiar faces such as Emma Thompson, Annie Lennox and Rachel Khoo.

Shot by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz, the campaign is set around the beautiful British countryside in the Cotswolds and Camber Sands.

The idea behind the campaign is to celebrate leading ladies in the public eye such as ‘music icon’, Rita Ora ‘international supermodel’, Alek Wek, ‘campaigner’, Baroness Lawrence of Clarendon OBE and ‘acclaimed engineer’, Roma Agrawel.

The clothes in the campaign are very suitable for these leading ladies with patterns and bright colours as well as more mature neutrals and styles.

College is the gateway to a great career, they said. Getting an education is like winning the lottery, they said.

They were wrong…

If you’re a science/tech/maths head, good grades may be enough to land you a cosy number . In humanities, experience is everything. Once you’ve finished crying into your Masters degree, I recommend you pay attention.

Now…let’s begin. Expect to experience the following:

1. Desperation

Once you’ve realised you’ve no hope of getting a job and life as an ‘unpaid slave’ begins to look appealing, congratulations you have reached ‘Phase Desperation’. You are now ready to begin the hunt.

2. The Hunt

volunt

Companies are getting better at  disguising exploitation in their quest for interns. Ask questions. Do your research. Linkedin-stalk the company and its employees. Find out how past interns progressed. Any respectable internship should offer wages or at least a stipend to get you by.

3. The interview

If you don’t have much experience, don’t sweat it, that’s why you’re here. Showcase your grades, projects, involvement in clubs and socs, dalliances with menial work , blogging, projects, the works. Tell them what your goals are, what you can bring to the internship and what you’d like to improve on.

4. Your first day

gosh

While inside you have no idea what to expect. Your first day is a free pass to ask all the questions and soak it all in. You can get away with pretty much anything on day 1. On day 2 however you’re screwed…because that’s when the real work begins. Be friendly, first impressions are important.

5. Adapting (Feeling Overqualified)

this jen is the internet

You build up trust and humility by doing well at the little things. Show you’re capable and hardworking and soon you’ll get more responsibility. If you don’t, ask for it. If you’re not learning anything, consult your boss/coworkers immediately. This is your training time, remind them of that if you need to.

6. Productivity

spinny

The windows of opportunity to doss around may be endless but remember college is over and you need to get paid work fast. Everyone loves intuition. It’s great if you can take it upon yourself to generate ideas/projects you can be working on . If you’re end goal is nabbing a job at your place of internship, the more achievements you have under your belt, the better.

7. Making mistakes

We’ve all been there, sometimes you just get  thrown straight into the deep end. If this happens don’t have a meltdown. You’re there to learn and part of learning is making mistakes.

8.Perseverance

Some days will be better than others…

pres

For bad days at least there’s coffee. *Sing it with me* Things can only get better.

9. Employment/Unemployment

Lets face it, it’ll  go either of the following ways:

There’s nothing worse than bumping into your ex, no matter how famous you are.

But One Direction’s Harry Styles managed not to flee the scene when his former flame Caroline Flack showed up at the same showbiz party.

Harry and Xtra Factor presenter Caroline both turned up at their mutual pal Lou Teasdale’s book launch party at London’s Shoreditch on the release of her DIY hair and beauty manual The Craft.

Well, at least Taylor Swift didn’t make an appearance too.

The pair caused scandal when they began dating in October 2011, due to their 14-year age difference.

However, following their split in January 2012, Caroline insisted that their relationship was just a bit of fun and that they planned to stay friends.

“It was just really fun to hang out… I don’t think we were ever going to have a long-term future,” said Caroline. “It was fun and it was hurting nobody… [Breaking up] was fine. And now we’re friends.”

Bloating – fluid building up between cells in your body – can be caused by poor digestion, too much sodium, or your period.

But according to experts, if you pay attention to what you’re eating, you can usually avoid it.

The best way to figure out what’s causing bloating is to write down everything you eat and drink and whether or not you feel discomfort afterwards.

You don’t have to totally avoid bloat-causing foods if you follow a few guidelines.

Eat vegetables cooked instead of raw. Cooking helps break down some of the fibre so your body doesn’t have to work as hard to digest it.

Go easy on bloat-causing starchy beans, including kidney, black beans and chickpeas.

Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. This helps keep your digestive system functioning smoothly and cuts down on the production of air and fluid.

Eat slowly and chew your food thoroughly.

If you feel bloated, try drinking ginger, peppermint or fennel tea, or taking one of these herbs in supplement form. They help calm your digestive system.

Bride-to-be Lauren Conrad has shared her number one beauty tip for those planning on tying the knot themselves.

The Hills star, who is getting ready to walk down the aisle with fiancé William Tell, urged brides not to overdo it on the make-up front on the big day.

“I think it’s important to look like yourself on the day,” she said. “You don’t want to be wearing so much make-up. And do a trial run so there are no surprises on the day. That would be a bummer!”

Lauren revealed that her biggest fail in the make-up department was trying to do too much with her look.

She said, “Trying to do way too much was my failure. I’ve learnt to pick one thing and go with it. If you have a simple outfit, you can have more fun with your make-up. But if you have statement hair, keep your make-up minimal.”

Since Kim K and Kanye West were revealed as April’s Vogue US cover there has been quite some controversy.

Many believe that Kim and Kanye simply don’t deserve the cover and that it must be earned.

Including Naomi Campbell it would appear!

Though the diva managed to keep her emotions more or less in check, sometimes saying nothing says everything.

Naomi simply says “I do not want to comment” followed by “I am a fashion model”, perhaps insinuating that Kim and Kanye are in fact, not. She continues to say what a big deal it is for a model to land the cover of Vogue.

It would seem there is one person Naomi may be afraid of after all and that is Anna Wintour.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle website Goop crashed after the split news with Coldplay’s Chris Martin was posted.

Traffic to the site was so hectic after she posted the announcement that it crashed, but not before the shocking news spread like wildfire.

The news sent the Internet into a frenzy last night, and users trying to access the Goop site were being faced with an error message.

“We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate,” Paltrow and Martin wrote.

“We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner,” the message concluded.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day but it can be hard to keep it fun and varied, especially on weekdays!

Here are some fun, tasty and healthy ways you can enjoy breakfast and keep it interesting.

1. Avocado on toast
So simple – an avocado + bread = avocado toast! So tasty and nutritious.

2. Homemade Granola
Granola has a bad rep because of sugar and oil content but if YOU make it then YOU can control what you put in.

3. Healthy Pancakes
Pancakes? Who said pancakes? You won’t believe how easy these are – or how healthy!

4. Chia Seed Pudding
Ok so the texture is a little funny but it is packed with nutrients and goodness. To make just cover some chia seeds with almond milk or coconut milk. Fridge overnight. Add fruit and honey.

5. Baked egg in avocado
Just break an egg into a partially hollowed avocado and bake in the oven until the egg sets.
