Jessie J made her first red carpet appearance with her new man last night and it was all kinds of cute!

The singer has been very vocal on social media about her love for Luke James, often posting photos.

However, last night’s American Music Awards saw the pair walk the red carpet as a couple for the first time, with Jessie wearing a gorgeous cream-coloured pants suit.

If things couldn’t get any sweeter than that, she later cuddled up to him as she performed and it was super cute!

Aww, we love these two together!

A couple from Jobstown in Dublin have been forced to sleep in their car for the past three weeks after their rent was increased by a massive fifty per cent.

Shane and Ciara Dwyer had been renting through an estate agent who hiked their rent from €700 a month to €1,050, which they said that just couldn’t afford.

As Ciara suffers from panic attack brought on from agoraphobia, she cannot work and her husband has essentially become her full-time carer. Because of this, the safe environment of a home is important for Ciara’s health. She has said the situation has made her: “embarrassed, depressed and just scared.”

The couple have been on the housing list since 2008, however, even this paired with a letter from the HSE in relation to Ciara’s metal health and the benefits of long-term accommodation could not help their situation: “They said there was nothing they could do until the day we became homeless. So we went down then and they said there wasn’t any emergency accommodation for couples, that there were six couples in front of us … We go down to the council every day asking them if there’s anything. They just keep saying there’s six couples ahead of us. One guy, when he heard we were sleeping in our car, said, ‘At least you’re in out of the rain.’”

For now, the couple say they are staying in their car as they cannot risk staying with family who will be in breach of their council home contracts if they overcrowd: “They have kids. They can’t risk being put homeless too,” Ciara says.

At night, Shane says they keep milk under the car to keep in cold, having a quick breakfast in the car every morning before heading off to a drop-in centre of family to wash and clean their clothes. From there, they head down to the council to see of anything is available for them yet.

Uh oh, it looks like sisterly love may not be on the cards for Khloé and her little sister Kylie at the moment!

The two were seen getting into a heated argument on the red carpet at last night's AMA's, with Khloé admitting there was an issue on Instagram, writing: “Do we have to argue on the carpet?!?!”

Do we have to argue on the carpet?!?!

Une photo publiée par Khloé (@khloekardashian) le

Khloé seemed to be pretty upset about something as she is seen gesturing at Kylie, who is taking the “are you really doing this here” approach that those with sisters will know only too well.

Thankfully the two patched things up and went on to pose up a storm as well as enjoy the show at the AMA’s.

You will never understand this kind of love!

We’re told that homemade presents are often the way to go if you really want to wow your significant other. They’re considerate, they show you care, and if you don’t have an artistic bone in your body, they’re hell on earth.

If you’re a pro with a glue gun and a pair of scissors, then spare a though for the rest of us who try to impress our other halves with badly drawn cartoons, ice-pop stick boxes and dodgy-looking knitted hats.

Frankly, we’re lucky they stay with us considering some of the junk we proffer as ‘gifts’.

Expectation: You’ll melt his heart with your thoughtful, loving present.
Reality: You’ll melt the counter-top because you thought a blow torch might be necessary.

Expectation: You’ll make a CD of all his favourite songs.
Reality: You’ll make his life difficult by forcing him to climb into the attic and search for an actual CD player.

Expectation: You’ll blow his mind by referencing a cute in-joke from your first date.
Reality: You’ll blow his mind trying to figure out why there’s a bad sketch of a pug dog saying ‘Remember?! Har har har”

Expectation: You’ll create a photo montage of all your favourite relationship moments.
Reality:You’ll create fear in his heart with badly hacked photos more akin to a stalker’s lair.

Expectation: You’ll shock him with your creative flair and eye for detail.
Reality: You’ll shock (and mildly frustrate) him with your inability to stay within the lines.

OK girls, we can't be expected to be amazing at everything.

We console them when their team loses, we let them make us dinner 'cos we're nice like that and we laugh at their jokes (Because, well, they're hilarious) so don't beat yourself up if the last present you gave him was met with confusion and a whispered "Awwww, baaaabe…what is it?"

It sounds like it is all over for Entourage actress Autumn Reeser and her husband, as TMZ report she has filed for divorce.

Autumn, who also starred in The OC, married Jesse Warren Strutzel five years ago and the couple have two sons together, Finneus (3) and Dashiell, who will be one-year-old tomorrow.

According to TMZ, Autumn wishes to share custody of their two sons, but does not want to pay her future ex-husband any spousal support.

Autumn recently had a mini-OC reunion with her co-star Rachel Bilson on the final episode of Hart of Dixie, which we were super excited about!

Rachel has since given birth to a baby daughter, Briar Rose, with her partner Hayden Christensen.

This lovely story has officially restored our faith in humanity!

Panti Bliss shared a story from another friend on Facebook last night and it has since gone viral, for good reason.

A customer was in Spar on Dublin’s Baggot Street when they were met with homophobic slurs from fellow customers. Overhearing the slurs used, the employee behind the counter refused to serve the two people responsible for the disgraceful behaviour – what a win!

Four wins for you, Spar Guy – you go Spar Guy!

Update: Since the story of Spar Guy went viral yesterday, it would appear that Panti's friend Colm has been experiencing not only support, but a lot of abuse too. Panti updated the story on her Facebook page, which you can see here:

We hope Colm only pays attention to the support he is receiving and doesn't give the trolls the attention they want.

Selena Gomez put on a very emotional display at last night’s AMA Awards.

The singer was performing her new single, The Heart Wants What It Wants as she struggled to hold in tears, becoming very emotional by the time the song ended.

However, she wasn’t the only one who became overwhelmed by the performance, as her best friend Taylor Swift was clearly moved too. When the camera rested on her at the end of the song, Taylor could be seen to be choked up but looking very proud of her BFF.

The song is known to be about her on-off love affair with Justin Bieber, who it seems she has finally let go off (for now!).

A lazy Sunday is nothing without a good cocktail and a gigantic plate of eggs/pancakes/French Toast. That's our motto, anyway.

If you're looking for somewhere to ease your hungover head back into the real world next weekend, check out one of these fine Irish establishments…

Dublin

Whitefriar Grill, 16 Aungier Street, D2
Serving steak by night and brekkie by day, Whitefriar Grill is well on the way to becoming Dublin's number one brunch spot. Advance booking is not just advised but essential for this cosy eatery, which opens for Saturday and Sunday brunch at 10.30am. The lobster hash is to die for – wash it down with a spicy Camden Banger cocktail!

Brother Hubbard, 153 Capel Street, D2
This bustling café is a great spot for some filling food of a Sunday, with lots of gorgeous little vintage touches to admire while you await their award-winning pulled pork sandwich or Moroccan-style beans on toast. These guys don't have a license to serve alcohol – but their raspberry, apple and rose juice will kill any hangover! Food is served all day on weekends from 10am.

Cork

Gulpd Café, Triskel Arts Centre, Tobin Street
This hidden spot doesn't open til 2pm on a Sunday but the wait is well worth it for some seriously epic egg dishes, including baked shakshuka eggs in a homemade tomato ragú. Yum. There's always a DJ lined up to spin some tunes, too.

Galway

Kai Café and Restaurant, Sea Road
Owned by foodie couple Kevin and Jessica Murphy, Kai is a great relaxed spot to spend a few easy hours of a Sunday. The menu varies slightly from week to week depending on what's in season, but with gems like poppy seed and pomegranate pancakes on the menu, we reckon you can't go too far wrong! Kai opens at 12 – they don't take reservations so get there early!

Limerick

Arabica Coffee Co, Unit 1, Shannon Street
This small coffee shop is best known for its beverages, but their Nutella and strawberry waffles are not to be missed, along with all the brunch classics you'd expect. Food is served from 9am on Saturdays and 10am on a Sunday.

Belfast

Harlem, 34 Bedford Street
The artwork and amazing decor alone makes Harlem a worthwhile spot, but luckily their food lives up to the hype too! Their oak-smoked bacon sandwich will ease even the worst hangover, and there is also a variety of sweet and savoury pancakes on offer. Perfection! Food is served from 9am, Saturday and Sunday.

We know twenty-two-year-old star Miley Cyrus is no stranger to flashing a bit of flesh and shocking parents the world over with her raunchy on-stage antics, but it seems the 'Wrecking Ball' star will strip down and get crazy whether she’s on-stage or off.

The controversial singer and professional twerker decided to celebrate her birthday a day early this weekend and hit up Factory nightclub in Hollywood with both her new beau Patrick Schwarzenegger and a full entourage on Saturday night.

Wearing one of her trademark bizarre ensembles, the singer-turned-jewellery designer arrived at the club with Patrick and then spent the evening straddling an enormous, mechanical sex toy. Classic Miley, right?

When she tired of that activity, she stripped down and partied topless, wearing only some neon accessories and a furry bolero across her shoulders. Again, no real surprises there.

Miley, presumably from her hangover cave, uploaded photos of the bash to her Instagram account the next morning. Posing beside her giant pizza-shaped birthday cake and smeared in icing, the birthday girl looked to be having the time of her life.

We wonder how she’ll top next years one!

Gemma Collins’ swift exit from the jungle last week shocked very few people, least of all her sixty-seven-year-old dad, Alan.

The TOWIE star, who decided to throw in the towel and leave long-running show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! after just three days, had struggled from the very beginning and speaking on behalf of her family,  Alan said: “It was very difficult for us to watch.”

The thirty-three-year-old was apparently under a lot of stress in the days leading up to her departure for Oz so her concerned dad knew that she may not make it through the experience.

“Her decision to quit didn’t come as a shock to me at all. I could see the way Gemma was from the moment I saw her on screen. As a parent I just knew.”

Gemma’s proud dad is sure that under different circumstances, his daughter would have walked away with the crown, but an incident which took place with ex-boyfriend Alex Moss mere days before she left the UK had a bad effect on the normally bubbly Gemma.

Commenting on his daughter’s appearance, Alan said: “Had she gone out earlier and avoided it there would have been a different outcome. I believe Gemma was the only one who seemed to have any personality. She was the star from day one.”

Awwww.

Now, this is news we like to hear on a gloomy Monday morning.

Food giant Nestlé reportedly has plans to create a drink or pill that recreate the fat-burning effects of exercise.

Scientists at the company's Swiss HQ say they have found a way to potentially mimic the actions of an enzyme in charge of regulating our body's metabolism.

Nestlé's ultimate goal is to create a product that could help to burn fat without exercise, especially for people with limited mobility, diabetes or obesity.

The enzyme in question, called AMPK, is like a "master switch" that boosts metabolism and burns fat when our body is low on energy, according to Professor Kei Sakamoto. AMPK is usually activated by exercise, but research has shown that there ways to activate it artificially.

So could it be a replacement for that dreaded Abs Burn class? Not quite – although the enzyme would help to burn fat, it won't tone muscles or give that great endorphin high that only comes after physical exertion.

"Exercise has so many different effects – a cognitive role and physiological function – we'll never be able to mimic all those effects in a single product," says Professor Sakamoto.

All the same, we wouldn't say no to a wonder drink next time the alarm goes off for that 6am spinning class!
