Instagram is the perfect place to go if you are looking for some travelling inspiration or even an escape from the daily toll of everyday life.
These three accounts are a sure bet to get you to feel the travel bug
@Zakshelhamer
Zak’s images will inspire you to ditch the relaxing beach holiday in favour of adventure. The thrill seeker has travelled the globe snowboarding, surfing and cliff jumping and has captured the most stunning and awe-inspiring snap on his camera.
@KevinRuss
Kevin is a self confessed full-time traveller and spends his days travelling around in his car. His up close and personal shots of western American allow you see the country like you’ve never seen before.
@Fosterhunting
Foster is a true hero to anyone who has ever wanted to ditch their day job and travel around in a VW van. His images will truly get you to the heart of the place his is in.

Before going on holidays, many ladies up their fitness levels and ditch the bad foods to get the beach body. Unfortunately, all their hard work goes out the window when they arrive at their destination; however, with a little bit of motivation you can maintain a healthy you.
Exercise each morning
True, the last thing you want to be doing on holidays is a bit of exercise, but there is no better way to start your day than a quick run or ten minute workout.
Explore on foot
Ditch the taxis and public transport and instead opt to explore the city on foot. Not only will it keep you trim and healthy you will also get to see a lot more of the area than you would behind a car.
Stay hydrated
Staying hydrated is the key to a healthy lifestyle and even more so when you are in a warm country and sweating a lot more than usual.
Stick with your fruit
Ditch the fry each morning and instead go for a bowl of fruit to start the day with.
Staying fit and healthy on holidays doesn’t mean you miss out or sacrifice fun, it just means you won’t come back with that bit of extra holiday weight.

Ever wondered what London looks like from King’s Reach Tower? Or what Chicago looks like from Legacy Tower? Well, thanks to a group of explorers who call themselves Place Hackers you can.
Place hacking is an actual thing and involves a group of adrenaline junkies that go to dizzying heights and scary edges across the world all in the name of fun. They explore old military bases, sewers, power stations and skyscrapers under construction.
Talking to Mother Jones, Bradley Garrett author of Explore Everything: Place Hacking the City the latest craze is “about going into places that are essentially off limits and, because they are off limits, have been relatively forgotten.”
The thrill seekers don’t vandalise or wreck the place, they simply explore and document so we can see the world like it’s never been seen before.
However, if you don’t have a head for heights we recommend you give these photos a miss…

Travelling is all about immersing yourself in the culture and the traditions of the country; this includes eating the delicacies of the places you are in.
Here are the four weirdest dishes across the globe that you just have to try:
Fried tarantulas, Cambodia
The entire spider is fried so if you have a fear of the eight legged creature these may not be for you.
Live octopus, Korea
Yes, the octopus is still alive. The live octopus is cut into pieces before seasoned and served for dinner, while the tentacles are still wriggling around.
Casu Marzu, Sardinia
Casu Marzu is a cheese that is infested with insect larvae – sounds yum… Thankfully, the unusual cheese is now banned but apparently people still want it and is available on the black market.
Puffer fish, Japan
Not sure why people would eat this as you could actually end up dead. The fish contains todrotoxin which is 1,250 times more deadly than cyanide so you might want to avoid this. Not surprising, only expert chef’s in licensed restaurants can prepare this fish.
Remember, while these may be considered an acquired taste to us to others they are yum

If surfing is on your to do list, you don’t have to venture miles away from home to tick it off. Ireland is blessed with an incredible coastline that has a huge variety of reef and break points – words familiar to the keen surfer.

Lahinch is the surfing mecca of the west but unfortunately everyone seems to know it so it can get a little busy.

We may have been through a few tough times recently, but this video will make you proud to say you’re Irish.

Here are some ways to make sure you arrive home content and happy with your travels.
1. Take lots of photos
Snap all around you. Who cares if you “look like a tourist” – you’ll appreciate the great memories when you come home!
2. Get out there
Hotels are strictly for sleep. Get out there and see what this new and exciting place has to offer and do it all.
3. Keep a journal
Sometimes we forget the little things so write everything down so you can remember each day as it was.
4. Early to bed, early to rise
We’re not suggesting you hit the leaba at 6pm or anything but you will need your full day to do all you need to so get your beauty sleep. You need to look good in those pictures after all!
5. Don’t miss opportunities
Just because your tired or it’s too hot doesn’t mean you should skip the day’s activities. You will regret what you didn’t do rather than what you did.
