Apparently Shakespeare’s play Macbeth is cursed, and if you say the name inside a theatre disaster will strike – but does anyone really believe it?

Well, it looks like Michael Fassbender does! The Kerryman said that there were some spooky occurrences on the set of his new film Macbeth, and that’s what made the cast and crew change the name to The Scottish Play while inside the theatre.

“Certain things that made one think ‘oh my god’. So at a certain point we changed it to The Scottish Film.

“You are evoking darker spirits, or the underworld, whatever you want to call it.”

Fassbender says he’s not the superstitious kind, so it must have been something pretty scary to freak him out!

We can’t say we blame them for changing the name – better safe than sorry and all that!

Michael Fassbender is officially the highest ranking celebrity on IMDB’s STARmeter. He’s followed at a close second by Liam Neeson, while 50 Shades of Grey actor Jamie Doran comes in third.

Only two women made the top ten – Game of Thrones actress Michelle Fairley came in fifth, while Saoirse Ronan made fourth place.

Surprisingly, Colin Farrell scraped it in at number ten – but Managing editor with IMDB Keith Simanton said the poll is pretty accurate: “It is an extraordinarily good indicator, we see people’s interest pretty early.”

Well, we’re definitely in agreement with Fassbender topping the poll!

Michael Fassbender maybe one of the most gorgeous actors in the world right now, but he proved recently that he can be just as goofy as the rest of us.

The 37-year-old actor had no problem showing off his excitement at some of Moscow’s famous sights yesterday, as he was spotted going to some unusual lengths to ensure he got some perfect shots for his photos.

Michael was of course surrounded by tonnes of security guards but that didn’t stop him from having fun whilst sightseeing.

Ah Michael you always know how to make us smile!

Michael Fassbender has undergone a dramatic transformation for his role in Macbeth.

The actor looks smouldering and different in the upcoming movie, which also stars Marion Cotillard.

While there is no release date for the movie yet, footage was shown at the Cannes Film Festival this week.

This isn’t the first film that Michael looks completely different in as he has recently starred in the Irish film, Frank, in which the actor wears a large masked head for the duration of the movie.

James McAvoy and his X-Men co-stars got up to a lot of mischief while shooting the movie.

The actor returns as Professor Charles Xavier in action flick X-Men: Days of Future Past, and said he shares a “real strong bond” with his co-stars, including Michael Fassbender and lovebirds Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult.

“We had a lot of fun when we were filming. We’ve got a real strong bond, both of the groups do actually. Me, Michael [Fassbender], Nic [Hoult]… Jen Lawrence, Peter Dinklage, Josh Helman… There was a lot of farting about, you can see [it],” he said.

“But then, I don’t know, that translates on the cameras [because] we’re all tied so closely and the things we sacrifice for each other, that makes a good ensemble. These movies always pick up a good ensemble,” the actor added.

X-Men: Days of Future Past hits Irish cinema screens from May 22nd.

The rumour mill has gone into overdrive this morning, after Bradley Cooper’s girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse, was spotted wearing quite the ring on THAT finger.

The beautiful sparkler was spotted as Suki walked the red carpet at last night’s Met Gala in New York.

Adding fuel to fire, the 22-year-old was later spotted hiding her hand by putting it into her pocket as she walked alongside Bradley.

Our hearts may be shattering into a thousand pieces right now, but if it’s true, we wish them all the best!

We would be lying if we said we weren’t jealous of Graham’s couch last night, as Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman and James McAvoy  were there to promote their new film  X Men: Days of Future Past.

Of course, the show wouldn’t be complete without some hilarious antics from the guests and Graham managed to succeed in getting the three gorgeous actors to dance along to the summer hit, Blurred Lines.

Thank you Graham, we really appreciate it.

Jude Law has stepped in to replace Irish actor Michael Fassbender in his upcoming movie Genius.

The Sherlock Holmes actor will star opposite Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman in the movie, which is based on A. Scott Berg’s biography of editor Max Perkins.

Perkins worked with literary great Thomas Wolfe on a number of his books, and the pair developed a complex friendship which changed their lives forever. Intriguing!

Law will play the celebrated writer, while Firth will star as his editor Perkins. Kidman’s role is yet to be revealed.

Director Michael Grandage is planning to begin pre-production in August and the film will start shooting in October.

The project was first announced in 2012 as Max Perkins: Editor Of Genius and Shame star Fassbender was picked for the role.

But now it seems the Irish actor’s busy work schedule means that Law will fill the role instead.

Win-win, we think!

Global dating site, beautifulpeople.com users has apparently ranked Irish men, as the third ugliest in the world.

The dating site enables users to rank each other on their looks. So, if you are not considered “beautiful” enough by the members, you don’t get on.

Our poor lads apparently don’t qualify, as only 12% of Irish lads who applied, made it onto the site. Who does the site consider the most gorgeous? Well Sweden apparently, as 65% of men who applied were successful.

But in good news, Irish girls are doing well. As beautifulpeople.com considers Irish women in top ten of the most attractive females worldwide.

Still, we think the site is being little harsh on the Irish male population. I mean look at Michael Fassbender.
