The powers that be have started rumours…rumours that we must investigate.

The theories over who would take over the role from Daniel Craig have been changing by the day, with Tom Hiddleston, Jamie Dornan and Aidan Turner being linked to the franchise over the last year.

Whispers in the film industry’s gossip crew are now reporting that actor Richard Madden could be taking up the mantle of the newest James Bond.

Sources in the tabloids are hinting that the former Game of Thrones actor (RIP Robb Stark, gone but not forgotten) and star of recent BBC phenomenon Bodyguard is top of executive producer Barbara Broccoli's wishlist for the role when Daniel Craig retires his blue steel eyes and tuxedo.

He certainly has a licence to thrill based on the excitement he caused from his turn as David Budd, protector of the fictional Home Secretary in the popular British show Bodyguard, which has recently announced will be coming to Netflix at the end of the month.

Eon Productions are expected to approach Madden regarding the iconic protagonist over the next few days, according to the Daily Mail.

Popular The Wire actor Idris Elba was previously thought to be the favourite frontrunner for the role, which would have been a major progression in diverse representation, but he broke everyone’s heart by recently quashing any Bond rumours.

Walking the London red carpet at the premiere of his directorial debut Yardie, Elba curtly ruled himself out of the competitive process of Bond auditions, despite feverish speculation surrounding him previously.

Danny Boyle has only just stepped down from the post of director of the 25th Bond film, citing “creative differences” with MGM.

It will be Daniel Craig’s fifth and final film as the infamous MI6 agent. True Detective mastermind Cary Fukunaga has been hired as Boyle’s replacement, with the film scheduled for February 2020.

We have faith that Richard Madden is the man to reignite the Bond franchise, I mean just look at that jawline?

We are completely devastated that Idris Elba will not be taking on the the role of James Bond in the upcoming film.

The Luther star recently confirmed his absence from the 007 film.

We can only guess whether his rejection of the role has any correlation with director Danny Boyle’s recent exit from the film.

Just three months before filming was scheduled to start, the Oscar-winning filmmaker suddenly stepped down from his director role.

A post from the James Bond official Twitter account said: “Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct Bond 25.”

Good Morning Britain reporter Divya Kohli spotted Idris at the premiere of his directed film Yardie and eagerly asked him to confirm rumours of his role in the upcoming film.

The reporter asked if he was ‘looking at the next 007’, to which Idris simplu replied, ‘No' , without any further explanation.

Perhaps, The Wire actor could not imagine a 007 film without the visionary Danny Boyle’s involvement.

Or has this hesitation been brewing in Idris’ mind for a while now?

In an interview with The New York Times in October, the talented actor confessed his worries about only being cast because he was black.

“It’s interesting that the James Bond thing continues to go. I think it’s more about, we just want to have a black guy play James Bond rather than Idris Elba the actor play James Bond. That’s the part that I’m like, ‘Ugh, come on,’” he revealed.

Either way, it seems we have to say goodbye to our hopes of seeing Idris play the becoming role of the suave, skilled intelligence officer.

So, who does that leave in the 007 line-up? Rumours continue to mill around  a few other male actors, including Aidan Turner, James Norton, and Tom Hardy.

Daniel Craig is expected to hang up his tuxedo and end his time as 007 after the next James Bond film, which will most likely be released in 2019.

That leaves only one question then: who will replace him as the iconic spy?

Many people have been calling for a person of colour to play Bond (Idris Elba, anyone?) and others have said that it's high time a woman take on the role.

John Krasinski is among those hoping for a female Bond – more specifically, for his wife Emily Blunt to play the part.

“I think a woman Bond would be amazing … They just did it on Doctor Who and people went ballistic [with excitement]," he told the Evening Standard.

"Emily would be an amazing Bond. Would she do it? I don’t know. But I would love to see her do it. I love to see her do anything, but the Bond franchise for me is so [great].”

To be honest, now that he's saying it we can't think of anyone more perfect.

Sexy British accent? Check. Unbelievably good looks? Check. Suave attitude? Check! Let's just make her a secret agent already.

Her acting cred puts her over the edge, too. From Devil Wears Prada to Young Victoria to Into the Woods, the 35-year-old has chops.

And who knows, maybe if Emily is involved in the project John will be on board, too.

He recently directed and co-wrote the critically acclaimed film A Quiet Place, which he also co-starred in with his wife. The 38-year-old has said that he'd love to work with Emily again, who he praises as his 'favourite actress'.

“I would do everything with Emily. She was just so incredibly supportive with the script and had ideas of how to shoot, and on set with such a great energy. She is the best person to work with," he gushed.

It also helps that John is all about empowering women. The former Office star said, "Female empowerment is vital, it’s a must, it’s not a thing you’ve got to be aware of, it’s an obvious must.

"Women are as heroic — and in my case much more heroic — than men, so I love doing it [creating those characters].”

Fingers crossed we get to see a female Bond on the silver screen soon!

The rumour mill has been working overtime this week, following speculation that Beyoncé will to record the next James Bond theme song.

Following in the footsteps of fellow musicians Adele, Sam Smith, and Alicia Keys, the 35-year-old is believed to be in talks with Bond producers, with some reports suggesting that her husband, Jay-Z could even feature on the track.

The upcoming film, which is due to be released on 2019, will be the 25th in the James Bond series and it was recently confirmed that Daniel Craig is on board to reprise his iconic role.

According to the Daily Star, Beyoncé reached out to Adele, who recorded the soundtrack for the 2017 Bond film, Skyfall.

“The two spoke before Bey’s first meeting with film bosses and Adele told her how co-writing and performing a Bond theme gave her an amazing career hike. Not many of the themes have been as successful – but there are tens of millions of Beyoncé fans out there,” the source revealed.

A studio executive for MGM added: "To tie-up a deal with Beyoncé for a theme song for Daniel’s fifth appearance as 007 would really be the icing on the cake."

However, the Formation singer remains tight-lipped on the matter with a representative for the star telling Billboard: “This is a rumour.”

But given that Beyoncé has a reputation for keeping her career moves under tight wraps, we're not going to write off the possibility just yet.

From Daniel Craig's 007, to Mad Men's Don Draper and Christian Grey of the Fifty Shades trilogy – sophisticated, dapper gentlemen have now firmly pushed to one side the scruffy, gum-chewing bad boys of yesteryear.

And while their suits, their swagger, and their many successes naturally appeal no end, their incredible abodes are something of a mega-attraction too.

Indeed, here at SHEmazing! we say there are few things sexier than a man who takes pride in his home – whether that's a box-room in his parents' place or a sprawling, detached property.

Thankfully, and choosing to ignore any lingering traffic cones or quirky beers mats from his college years, there are simple, affordable ways to revamp a living space too.

Yes, armed with the right inspiration (Fifty Shades Darker hits Irish cinemas on February 10, for example) even the dullest of spaces can be transformed into something manly and striking.

Goodbye tatty boys-club gaff; hello cosmopolitan man-cave dwelling!

Here are six simple ways to give refined home-decor a distinctly masculine twist…

1) Accessories are everything

Forming the perfect living space isn't exclusive to those with a millionaire bank balance. After all, when it comes to creating sleek, masculine interiors, the likes of leather photo frames, matching plates and cutlery, and luxurious faux-fur throws go a LONG way.

2) Get rid of any junk

Clutter is out! Small living environments in particular can't support a load of 'stuff'. Go through every possession and aim to chuck as much of it as possible. Old DVDs and CDs? Out! Keep your wardrobe simple and concise too; discard anything that's tatty, worn, or dated.

3) Keep the colour-scheme simple

Embrace earthy hues like browns, greys, or deep greens. Or alternatively opt for two or three complementing colours and work with those – not only on the walls and ceilings, but also via accessories, furniture, and paintings.

4) Storage boxes are a BIG help

Aim to keep day-to-day clutter out of sight. Bathrooms shouldn't be littered with products; bedrooms shouldn't be strewn with clothing, and sitting-rooms should be free of the likes of games consoles and gadgets. Invest in some good-quality storage boxes to help you clear away as much as possible.

5) Create a central feature

Christian Grey may have THAT Fazioli piano in his breathtaking penthouse – but even a bicycle or smaller musical instrument mounted on a wall can create a great central feature and talking point. If that feels too ambitious, use a piece of art or a quirky charity-shop find instead.

6) Stick to a cleaning schedule

After discarding, decorating, and rearranging – don't let all your hard work go to waste by then not implementing a strict cleaning schedule. Leave the actual scrubbing and washing for the weekends, but daily, aim to complete a 20-minute tidy and re-ordering.

Late last year Daniel Craig confessed in the bluntest of terms that he was more than ready to hang up his Bond boots once Spectre hit screens.

But despite the actor’s obvious lack of interest in the role – and the fact that everyone from Tom Hiddleston to James Norton is mad only to become his successor – it seems Bond bosses still only have eyes for Dan.

According to The Express, the good people at Sony Studios are willing to offer the 48-year-old actor $150 million for his part in playing the famous spy just twice more.

A source said the British actor “has played a genius hand” by publicly dismissing the part, as in doing so he has made Bond producers desperate to have him reprise the leading role.

The source revealed: “The studio is desperate to secure the actor’s services while they phase in a younger long-term successor.”

“Everyone knows how much executives adore him, and the idea of losing him at such a crucial time in the franchise isn’t an option as far as all the studio honchos are concerned.”

By the sounds of things the studio will not be taking no for an answer if they can avoid it as the source explained “they’re prepared to pay a king’s ransom” to convince Daniel to get involved.

“Then they will shoot two more films, which will be made virtually back-to-back, preferably featuring Daniel as 007 before he passes the figurative baton to someone else for a third movie that will mark the start of the new era,” they continued.

While it is still unclear as to whether or not Daniel will change his mind, for $150 mil if he doesn’t want the part we’d be more than happy to take it.

James Norton is now the most hotly tipped actor to replace Daniel Craig as the legendary secret agent James Bond.

According to the Metro, the Happy Valley star is now at 1/3 odds to play 007 in the Paddy Power betting stakes.

This puts him ahead of former favourites Tom Hiddleston (now 9/2) and Irish actor Aiden Turner (7/4) whose position in the Bond running has dropped after the BBC announced another series of Poldark in which he stars.

Norton has shot to the top of the potential Bond list – which also includes Idris Elba, Tom Hardy and Michael Fassbender – after being 33/1 just six weeks ago.

The 30-year-old British actor has previously appeared in Dr Who, War & Peace and the movie An Education.

A Paddy Power spokesperson told the Metro: “We’ve barely had any bets on Norton to be the next Bond…We thought the first this morning was like a hopeful roulette spin in Casino Royale.”

“However, after a sudden sequence of follow-up punts, we’re starting to suspect that we’re dealing with a Dr In The Know – so the odds have Skyfall-en.”

So many Bond puns, so little time.

Perhaps we should not be surprised that Dylan Brosnan picked up his famous father's debonair good looks.

Pierce Brosnan's handsome son is starting to make a name for himself as a model as he fronts the latest Burberry campaign for their SS 2016 collection.

The ridiculously tall 18-year-old looks gorgeous in a trademark Burberry trench coat and well… very little else.

The young model was shot by infamous fashion photographer Mario Testino and shows off his lovely Irish freckles in the shots.

While this may be Dylan's first role as the face of a campaign, he has already been making waves in fashion circles as he appeared with it-girl Karlie Kloss in American Vogue and walked the run way for Saint Laurent at fashion week.

The son of the former James Bond actor and wife Kelly Shaye Smith resides in Malibu, Los Angeles where he is kick-starting his fashion career.

And it seems Burberry are big fans of snapping up the good-looking offspring of famous stars.

The 13-year-old Romeo Beckham also made his modelling debut with the iconic fashion house and we think he also has a very promising career in looking good for a living.

He could sell us on ANYTHING.

We're on the verge of a brand new James Bond: Spectre will hit cinemas at the end of the next month.

And after the success of Skyfall in 2012, it's certainly highly anticipated by fans of the Ian Fleming franchise.

However, rumour is also abound that the 2015 release will represent Daniel Craig's fourth and final portrayal of the iconic British spy.

The likes of Londoner Idris Elba and Kerryman Michael Fassbender have already been linked to the role, but if recent reports are to be believed, it seems that producers already have their heart set on another candidate: Damian Lewis of Homeland fame.

The Sunday Mirror claimed yesterday that the 44-year-old has been given an "unofficial nod" from producers of the movies, and that he is very much their first choice.

A source told the paper: "If Daniel Craig leaves, it's Damian Lewis who will be crowned the Bond.

"He is seen as an all-round international star who is perfect for the role. As he ages, he looks increasingly suave and sophisticated.

"Bond bosses are now convinced Damian is their man."

However, it is the fans themselves that might need more convincing.

"No!!!!! Cannot see that working. He has zero charisma. Idris Elba would be the best choice," stated one emphatically, while others said that his ginger hair alone would rendered him unsuitable.

Although, as another highlighted, Mr Craig leaves big shoes to fill: "Daniel Craig had done such a good job whoever follows him has an almost impossible task," they offered.

Over the past few months, there have been numerous rumours of who will take on the roll as the new James Bond.

But over the past five decades, six actors have stepped into the boots of the 007 agent.

Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig have all portrayed the courteous and courageous secret agent in over 24 Bond movies.

With Spectre due to be released later this year, we look back at the actors who nearly made the cut.

Michael Caine

After Connery departed in 1967, Michael Caine was up to play the secret agent. According to BBC America, Michael was anxious he would be typecast after he played a spy in The Ipcress File. The role went to George Lazenby for a one movie stint; and back to Sean Connery for the two films to follow.

Clint Eastwood

We think Clint would have been a good one! The actor was another favourite up to play the iconic role after Sean Connery, but later turned it down. Talking to the Daily Mail he said, "I was offered pretty good money to do James Bond if I would take on the role. But to me, well, that was somebody else’s gig. That’s Sean’s deal.”

Mel Gibson

Mel was turned down to play the part after reports of him being too small and too famous. Former screenwriter for Bond movies, Tom Mankiewicz admitted to the press that he was told by one of the producers, "I don’t want to make a Mel Gibson movie; I want to make a James Bond movie.” Tough luck Mel.

Liam Neeson

Ah, our favourite action hero's of all time. Liam was offered the role over twenty years ago but turned it down because of his late wife! Natasha Richardson told the actor that is he accepted the role, she would refuse to marry him. We do like a man that listens to his wife.

Hugh Jackman

Hugh admitted that playing the role of James Bond was not an easy one to give up. When he was offered the part over eight years ago, he turned it down because he was just about to film X-Men 2.

Henry Cavill

Henry nearly achieved the role in Casino Royale but ultimately he was viewed as too young, and the part went to Daniel Craig. In a post written on the British actor's website, he wrote, “I obviously wasn’t right for Bond."

Tom Hardy fans, get ready to go crazy!

The Mad Max star has been announced as the new favourite to take over Daniel Craig as James Bond.

Daniel is set to be replaced after his final outing as the secret agent in the upcoming Spectre movie.

The British actor, who will next be seen playing both Kray brothers in the new movie Legend, has made his way up in the rankings in recent weeks, moving from 6-1 to 4-1 favourite.

He is now just behind The Wire's Idris Elba and Homeland's Damien Lewis, who are tied at the number one spot.

The soon-to-be daddy would certainly be a very interesting choice to play Bond, as he is a big rougher around the edges than the stereotypical 007. However, he's no stranger to play a 'posh' role, as we have seen in Inception… He also fills out a tuxedo quite well, might we add.

Tom is also something of an action star, having transformed his body numerous times for his roles in movies such as Bronson and The Dark Knight Rises

Other actors in the top ten include Michael Fastbender, Orlando Bloom and Dominic West.

We might have a tiny crush on Tom here in SHEmazing! Towers so we're hoping he takes the top spot!
