The 39-year-old shared a hilarious snap of himself and Chloe stood back to back. While the 31-year-old expectant mum holds her growing bump, Adam teasingly cradles his own stomach.

“Look we’re pregnant! Well, I’m just fat now but Chloe is all preggo with a human baby!” the Modern Family star exclaimed.

While it is not yet known how far along Chloe is in her pregnancy, Adam chose to sneakily reveal the sex of their unborn child in his caption.

“Obviously, very exciting stuff! This will mostly be a baby page now, as I will be dedicating my life to my child in hopes he doesn’t use my decades of recorded dirty jokes against me,” he joked further, confirming that the pair are expecting a baby boy.

On her own Instagram page, Chloe chose to post an adorable photo of the couple joining hands to cradle her bump.

“We have news!! can’t wait to get this lil family started,” the Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam actress gushed.

Many famous faces have since sent their well-wishes to the expectant parents.

“The funniest/ cutest kid EVER,” replied Adam’s Pitch Perfect co-star Brittany Snow.

“Ahhhhh!!! Congrats!!!!” exclaimed Barbie actress America Ferrera.

“Such amazing news, Congrats A & Chloe!” added fellow Pitch Perfect cast member Rebel Wilson.

Adam and Chloe first met in 2014 on the set of The Final Girls. The pair later started dating in February 2015, before announcing their engagement in October 2019.

Adam and Chloe were originally supposed to wed in September 2021 in California. However, due to the Covid pandemic, the couple postponed their nuptials until the following month, where they enjoyed a smaller ceremony in Cabo, Mexico.

LGBT Ireland have launched a new campaign aimed at empowering and supporting LGBTQI+ people ahead of National Coming Out day on Wednesday, 11th October. “Empowering anthems” is calling on people – allies and members of the community alike – to choose their most inspiring song, share it on social media and make a donation to support the work of LGBT Ireland. All funds raised will go towards supporting LGBT Ireland deliver its quality services for the LGBTQI+ community across Ireland.

“Coming out is one of the most significant milestones in any LGBTQI+ person’s lifetime, and it can be a hugely challenging and emotional time for people. Fear of rejection and worry for the future can often create anxiety – however it can also be an incredibly empowering experience and can open up the door to self-acceptance and joy.” That’s according to Paula Fagan, Chief Executive of LGBT Ireland speaking today at the launch of the Campaign.

“We all know the positive impact music can have on emotional well-being, and so this year we are encouraging people around Ireland to support their LGBTQI+ friends and family by choosing an empowering anthem that motivates them and makes them feel good about themselves; share the song on Instagram or any other social media and tag LGBT Ireland; and make a donation to support our services.

“At the end of the campaign, we will compile and share our playlist of Empowering Anthems which we hope will help anyone who might be struggling with their identity to feel empowered and loved, and to remind them that support and help is available to them through LGBT Ireland.”

Pictured: Sonya Lennon, David O’Reilly, Cian Griffin, Shane Daniel Byrne,
Brendan Courtney, Dil Wickremasinghe & Paula Fagan, CEO of LGBT Ireland.

Well-Known Support

A number of well-known faces are supporting the campaign and have chosen their empowering anthems, including:

  • Comedian Shane Daniel Byrne, whose anthem is La Roux, “Bulletproof”
  • Designer, business-woman and entrepreneur Sonya Lennon, whose anthem is “I’m Coming Out” by Diana Ross
  • Presenter and designer Brendan Courtney, who also chose ‘I’m coming out’ by Diana Ross as his anthem
  • Psychotherapist and presenter Dil Wickremasinghe, picked Madonna’s “Express Yourself”
  • Cian Griffin, social media influencer, chose “Born this way” by Lady Gaga
  • Presenter and actor David O’Reilly, chose “Rhythm of the Night” by Corona

Speaking at the launch, Sonya Lennon said: “My anthem is Diana Ross’s, “I’m Coming Out,” and I first remember listening to it on a Walkman. The song encapsulates the emotion of being exactly who and where you want to be. It’s a celebration. I believe that being an ally is about accepting everyone for who they are when you’re with them but also advocating for their interests when you’re not.”

Dil Wickremasinghe’s song choice was inspired by her own journey of self-discovery: “The song came out the summer of 1987, I was 16 years old, and I became aware of my sexuality and fell madly in love with another girl, she was a beautiful Sicilian girl. I was in Palermo, Sicily, with my family for a few weeks. She had a red Vespa and I used sit on the back of it as we whizzed up Mount Pellegrino, where we shared our first kiss. I remember listening to “Express Yourself” on repeat that summer. It encouraged me to come out, express myself and 30 years later I am still happily expressing myself!”

David O’Reilly said: “Being part of any campaign that aims to alleviate any stigma, trauma or difficulty for any minority group is an honour. In a world where regression on LGBTQI+ rights is on the rise, it is so vitally important for me to support LGBT Ireland who continue to have their fingers on the pulse in supporting vulnerable members of the LGBTQI+ Community.”

St Patrick’s Mental Health Services has announced the launch of ‘Accept. Act. Adapt.’, a campaign that encourages people across the country to look towards a future where mental health is accepted without stigma, and where people take action for their mental health and adapt to support good mental health in their daily lives.

To mark World Mental Health Day on 10 October, St Patrick’s Mental Health Services is inviting members of the community to experience an innovative projection installation designed incollaboration with Sofft Productions, which will be held at The Townhouse at Arnotts from Monday, 9 October until Friday, 13 October from 11am – 4pm.

The projection experience aims to foster a sense of unity and understanding of mental health by sharing anonymous thoughts and meaningful advice from all members of the public; from those with lived experiences of mental health difficulties to those who simply have insight or messages to share. Everyone has mental health, and this can look different for everyone. Those wishing to anonymously share their reflections, experiences or contributions can visit the St Patrick’s Mental Health Services’ website, stpatricks.ie, and its social channels in advance of the exhibition.

This visual installation will enable anonymous self-expression by taking the words of people in the community and transforming them into moving, yet impactful, visual displays projected within The Townhouse space, located on Level 3 at Arnotts department store in Dublin 1. Through this emotive installation, St Patrick’s Mental Health Services seeks to challenge stigma surrounding mental health, to encourage conversations that matter and to inspire people to take action to support positive mental health and wellbeing.

St Patrick’s Mental Health Services is committed to advocating for the rights of those experiencing mental health difficulties and to educating and empowering members of the community to look after their own mental health.

The mental health service provider is also set to host a free webinar entitled ‘Accept. Act. Adapt.: A conversation on mental health’ on Thursday, 5 October at 7pm. The webinar will provide a platform for open conversations around the acceptance of mental health difficulties and coping with stigma associated with mental health. Additionally, it will offer helpful advice to members of the community to act in order to support their own wellbeing, as well as providing first-hand information on how life can be adapted to support good mental health.

The webinar will bring together a panel of experts, including people with lived experiences, for a conversation on mental health in Ireland. The webinar is open to everyone; whether you’re experiencing mental health difficulties, supporting someone experiencing mental health difficulties or simply want to learn more about how to build positive mental health practices into daily life. Those interested can register by visiting StPatricks.ie or Eventbrite.ie.

Speaking about the launch of the ‘Accept. Act. Adapt.’ campaign, Paul Gilligan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), St Patrick’s Mental Health Services, explains why he hopes this campaign will encourage everyone to get involved in supporting and reflecting on their mental health.

“St Patrick’s Mental Health Services is delighted to launch this important campaign to celebrate World Mental Health Day, and to build on progress made to date in creating a future where everyone is empowered to live a mentally healthy life. Accept. Act. Adapt. is a great opportunity to discuss acceptance and awareness of mental health and to encourage members of the community to take action and seek support when it comes to their mental wellbeing. We also hope that the campaign will highlight that, with the right resources and tools in place, everyone can enhance and protect their mental health.”

The Fury by Alex Michaelides

This is a tale of murder. Or maybe that’s not quite true. At its heart, it’s a love story, isn’t it? Lana Farrar is a reclusive ex–movie star and one of the most famous women in the world. Every year, she invites her closest friends to escape the English weather and spend Easter on her idyllic private Greek island. I tell you this because you may think you know this story. You probably read about it at the time – it caused a real stir in the tabloids, if you remember. It had all the necessary ingredients for a press, a celebrity; a private island cut off by the wind…and a murder. We found ourselves trapped there overnight. Our old friendships concealed hatred and a desire for revenge. What followed was a game of cat and mouse ― a battle of wits, full of twists and turns, building to an unforgettable climax. The night ended in violence and death, as one of us was found murdered. But who am I? My name is Elliot Chase, and I’m going to tell you a story unlike any you’ve ever heard.

India Allwood grew up wanting to be an actress. Armed with a stack of index cards (which, torn into pieces, also function as make-shift confetti) and a hell of a lot of talent, she goes from awkward 16-year-old to Broadway ingenue to tv star. While promoting her most recent project, a film about adoption, India does what you should never do – she tells a journalist the truth: it's a bad movie. Like so many movies about adoption, it tells only one story, a tragic one. But India's an adoptive mum herself and knows there's so much more to her family than tragedy. Soon she's at the centre of a media storm, battling accusations from the press and the paparazzi, from protesters on the right and advocates on the left. Her daughter Fig knows they need help – and who better to call for help than family? Because India's not just an adoptive mom. She also had a baby she gave up for adoption her senior year of high school. That baby is now sixteen, excited to meet her birth mother and eager to help, but she also has an agenda and secrets of her own.

It's supposed to be a quick fling, but when Emma's toxic mother shows up and Justin has to assume guardianship of his three siblings, they're suddenly navigating a lot more than they expected – including catching real feelings for each other.

Funny Story by Emily Henry

Daphne always loved the way her fiancé Peter told their story. How they met (on a blustery day), fell in love (over an errant hat), and moved back to his lakeside hometown to begin their life together. He really was good at telling it…right up until the moment he realised he was actually in love with his childhood best friend Petra. Which is how Daphne begins her new story: Stranded in beautiful Waning Bay, Michigan, with a dream job as a children’s librarian, and proposing to be roommates with the only person who could possibly understand her predicament: Petra’s ex, Miles Nowak. Scruffy and chaotic, Miles is exactly the opposite of practical, buttoned up Daphne, whose coworkers know so little about her they have a running bet that she’s either FBI or in witness protection. The roommates mainly avoid one another, until one day, while drowning their sorrows, they form a tenuous friendship and a plan. If said plan also involves posting deliberately misleading photos of their summer adventures together, well, who could blame them? But it’s all just for show, of course, because there’s no way Daphne would actually start her new chapter by falling in love with her ex-fiancé’s new fiancée’s ex…right?

Miss Fairchild had rules. Miss Fairchild could be unpredictable. And Miss Fairchild was never, ever to be crossed. In a moment of desperation, the three broke away from Miss Fairchild, and they thought they were free. But the reach of someone with such power is long, and even though they never saw her again, she was always somewhere in the shadows of their minds. Earlier this year, Linda revealed the devastating news that her cancer had spread to her brain after being diagnosed with the disease for the fourth time.

While speaking on Good Morning Britain, Coleen explained, “Linda is just a machine. She's unbelievable, you know. Cancer just hits her again and again and again, and she just keeps going”.

“And she's incredible because she'll say, ‘I can't meet you all today for lunch because I've had chemo, I'm not feeling great’. And then the next day [she says], ‘Right, where are we going?’”.

Sharing more of an insight, Coleen added, “You know, it's hard for her. She's struggling to walk now, but she just gets on with it every day”.

Coleen, who had a recent cancer scare earlier this year when she was diagnosed with pre-skin cancer, then spoke about how important it is to be aware of any changes to your body and to get checked if you are unsure.

“It's all scary, and of course, I think about it all the time, but I'm very vigilant with it. And if I'm ever unsure about anything, I go straight away because that's the whole point of it – go straight away”.

Linda opened up about the cancer spreading to her brain back in March. Opening up about her diagnosis, she admitted, “That’s obviously very frightening because there isn’t much help for brain cancer at the moment, apart from radiotherapy which I'm going to be having”.

At the time, the 64-year-old explained that she moved back in with her sister Denise as the brain cancer was affecting her balance and she had three ‘nasty falls’.

Linda also revealed, “I bought a wheelchair. We’re getting stuff ready for the inevitable really”.

Heartstopper fans, we have some news for you!

Netflix has confirmed that season 3 of the critically acclaimed teen series is now in production.

In short, the series follows school students Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke), as they slowly fall into a romance with one another and grapple with teen complexities.

After Heartstopper originally arrived on our screens in April of last year, the series became so popular that Netflix immediately renewed it for two more seasons.

Now, exactly two months on from the release of its second season, the streaming giant has announced that Heartstopper is back in production!

Earlier today, the team behind the LGBTQ+ romance series took to social media to share an image of Alice Oseman, the creator of Heartstopper, who writes and illustrates the graphic novels that the show is based on, as well as the show’s scripts themselves.

The image showcases the 28-year-old holding up a clapperboard for Heartstopper season 3, which includes a sweet drawing of Nick and Charlie on it.

“AND ACTION! Heartstopper Season 3 is officially in production,” Netlix exclaimed in the caption of their post.

Many Heartstopper fans have since taken to social media to express their thoughts on the exciting news.

“Omggggg, I'm excited for this new season,” one viewer gushed on Instagram.

“Netflix you cannot drop news like this on a random Monday and expect me to be okay,” another fan joked on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Netflix’s confirmation comes as Heartstopper fans theorised last month that the cast had already conducted a table read, after actor Joe Locke posted a picture of his co-star William Gao wearing a Heartstopper sweatshirt.

It has also been confirmed that Heartstopper will have a new director this season. Andy Newbery will be taking over from Euros Lyn, who directed the first two seasons.

While a release date has yet to be announced, fans are hoping that Heartstopper season 3 will follow on from previous premiere dates with a launch in April 2024.

As the group prepares to settle in the area for as long as necessary, little do they know that the blackout will soon be the least terrifying thing they have to deal with.

Recent research undertaken by LloydsPharmacy has shown an interesting trend within the Irish population, with an increased focus being placed on managing and improving their health. The research has shown over the last couple of years 51% of Irish adults are eating healthier, 35% are spending more time outside and 33% are trying to sleep longer. The research also showed 35% have started to take a vitamin or supplement, rising to 42% in those aged 55-64. This is further proven within LloydsPharmacy where they are seeing double-digit year-to-date growth in vitamin & supplement sales. Additionally, 49% of people say they would get vaccines, including the flu vaccine, 32% are setting health targets and goals, and 29% also show an interest in tracking their health, sleep and exercise through Fitbits and app trackers.

LloydsPharmacy are responding to these findings by adapting and evolving their offering to support and encourage the Irish population to take a more proactive interest in managing and improving their health. They will continue to offer their patients tailored advise on products and lifestyle recommendations. They will focus on expanding their pharmacy services which currently offers a wide range of vaccinations, from Flu and Pneumonia to HPV and Shingles, as well as customers health checks: blood pressure measurements, BMI checks, smoking cessation, and weight loss management programmes.

In line with this direction and with winter fast approaching, LloydsPharmacy are encouraging their local communities to help prevent and protect those most vulnerable to sickness during winter months by accessing their Flu vaccination service. The flu vaccination is considered the best form of protection against flu and its complications. Reports from Australia show that the flu season has been particularly concerning for children, with 72% of people admitted with confirmed influenza across sentinel hospital sites were children aged 16 years and younger.

Another important way to boost immunity and protection this winter is through vitamins and supplements, and LloydsPharmacy are running a Buy One Get One Half Price offer throughout September where you can mix and match on selected vitamins and supplements. LloydsPharmacy colleagues are available to advise their local communities on how to help keep their family healthy this winter, whether it is the best medication for cough and colds or what vitamins and supplements can support their immune system.

Denis O’Driscoll, LloydsPharmacy Superintendent Pharmacist said “At LloydsPharmacy we want to ensure that our communities are protected. This is why we are offering the Flu vaccination in pharmacies throughout Ireland and encouraging Irish adults and children to avail of this service. It is great to see that adults across all age groups are taking a more proactive approach to their health, with a strong interest in vitamins to support certain needs like energy, immunity, joint care, anxiety, and sleep but we still need people to get the flu vaccine to protect themselves”.

You can book your flu vaccine through the LloydsPharmacy appointment booking tool. You can conveniently book your appointment, visit www.lloydspharmacy.ie or download the LloydsPharmacy Ireland app where a range of appointment booking options are available, including Flu, COVID-19 boosters, Pneumonia, HPV, Shingles, and Travel Vaccinations.

It has been announced that the trial for murdered school teacher Ashling Murphy has been delayed again.

32-year-old Jozef Puska, of Lynally Grove, Tullamore in Co Offaly, has been accused of murdering the 23-year-old on January 12 of last year.

Mr Puska’s trial was initially due to begin in June, but the prosecution requested extra time to examine an expert report provided by the defense.

Mr Puska’s re-scheduled trial was due to begin at 2pm this afternoon (October 2) in Dublin’s Central Criminal Court. However, the court was then told earlier this morning that it is now necessary for a pre-trial hearing to be held, before a jury for the case is selected.

The concept of pre-trial hearings was introduced last year, in the hope that they would help trials to run more smoothly.

Experts note that if the issues are dealt with beforehand, it will reduce the number of times that a jury has to be sent away for legal argument.

Outrage was spread across Ireland and beyond last January, when news of Ashling’s murder was first reported.

The school teacher was out for an afternoon run along the Grand Canal near Cappincur, when she was attacked and killed.

Ashling had recently graduated from her Bachelor of Education course in October 2021, and had taken up a teaching position at Durrow National School.

In the days following her death, thousands of people attended vigils across Ireland in memory of Ashling and to protest violence against women. Vigils were also held internationally in cities such as London, Edinburgh, New York, Dubai and Brisbane.

Following the delayed start to his court case, Mr Puska’s trial will now begin later this month, in two weeks’ time.
