Big Brother viewers were left shocked after last night’s episode revealed two fan-favourite housemates have been put up for eviction.

The news was announced live on air during Big Brother: Late & Live.

It was confirmed that Farida and Kerry are the first two housemates to face eviction on this year’s series.

As they now face the public vote through the Big Brother app, one of the two women will be voted off the show live during Friday’s episode.

Their fellow housemate Olivia originally faced eviction earlier this week, but after passing a secret mission, set by Big Brother, she won immunity.

The secret mission involved Olivia having to convince the rest of the house that she wasn’t the least entertaining of the group.

Before Farida and Kerry were put up for eviction, the pair could be seen clashing when Farida spoke about her make-up videos on social media to the NHS manager who seemed surprised that people tuned in to watch the tutorials.

“To watch you?”, Kerry asked after Farida spoke about her thousands of online viewers and followers.

After the news that 50-year-old Farida and 40-year-old Kerry would be facing the public vote, fans of the show rushed to the comments to share their reaction at the decision, with many revealing how gutted they were that two of their favourites were up for eviction.

One fan wrote, “Ahhh man this is a disappointing result but not surprising”.

“Devo’d these two are up for eviction. They’re both brilliant housemates!”, penned a second viewer.

A third fan questioned, “So we're just sending the entertainment out the door already?”.

“I didn't wanna believe that they would put two iconic housemates Farida and Kerry up for eviction on FIRST WEEK”, added another commenter.

Big Brother airs tonight on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm, where we’ll see either Farida or Kerry get voted off the show.

Fáilte Ireland has announced the launch of its 2023 Transition Year placement programme via tourismcareers.ie.

The fantastic initiative, inaugurated just last year, provides Transition Year students with a valuable opportunity to acquire practical work experience in the vibrant tourism and hospitality sector.

Its primary aim is to inspire a greater number of young individuals to explore potential career paths within this exciting and growing industry.

Following the launch of the work experience portal on tourismcareers.ie last year, the TY placement programme was met with overwhelming positivity, particularly by parents of the participants.

Parents have highlighted how helpful the programme’s work experience database has been in reducing the stress of securing a Transition Year work placement for their children. They also highlighted how it’s encouraged students to broaden their horizons and look further afield when it comes to choosing their work experience opportunities.

The National Tourism Development Authority of Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, has provided resources for businesses to ensure the placements offered are well-structured and provide valuable learning opportunities to the students.

Parents can rest assured knowing their children are gaining a truly invaluable experience that will be beneficial to them in the future, developing interpersonal skills, which are so important for any career choices.

Almost 200 businesses have multiple placements on offer through the programme across a range of tourism activities, including a weaving apprentice in Beth Moran Handweaver in Co. Mayo, a tour guide in Glasnevin Cemetery, and tour guide and grooming work in the Killarney Riding Stables. These local businesses offer work experience for students as well as an opportunity to learn skills for life, such as developing their confidence and people skills.

Students who participate in the programme may also have the opportunity to secure part-time employment, with 80 percent of the businesses hosting a work experience last year offering part-time positions to students following the successful completion of their placement.

Student Emmet Cassidy from Luttrellstown Community College spoke about his experience with the Transition Year Work Experience Programme, saying, “My advice to students who are considering a work placement with a tourism business is to dive right in. It’s such a broad sector and there are so many opportunities involved in tourism, even from a financial, business or even maintenance perspective”.

He added, “I would suggest to not be afraid to ask questions, and always seek to learn new things. Working with the people I do in this sector feels like a family, and my team is always willing to embrace new people. The short time I have spent in work experience has given me so much growth, knowledge, and guidance as to what I want in my career”.

Sharon Balmaine, Head of Tourism Careers for Fáilte Ireland, stated, “A core focus for Fáilte Ireland is to assist tourism businesses in their recruitment efforts while also encouraging young people to consider the wealth of options available through a career in the industry.  The Fáilte Ireland Transition Year Work Placement Programme serves as an invaluable tool, facilitating the connection between students and businesses, enabling them to gain valuable experience in workplaces throughout the country”.

“Participating in a transition year work experience placement not only exposes students to the realities of the working world but also aids them in making informed decisions about their future careers. A well-structured placement fosters personal development and meaningful interactions with professionals, leaving a lasting positive impact on students”.

Helen Skelton has broken her lengthy silence on her marriage breakup.

Helen, who was a runner-up on last year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing, confirmed in April 2022 that she had separated from her now ex-husband, Richie Myler.

The former couple had been married for eight years, and continue to co-parent their three children. Rugby star Richie has since entered into a new relationship with Stephanie Thirkill, and the pair welcomed a baby together in April of this year.

Now, 18 months on from her split, Helen has decided to open up about the end of her marriage.

In her new autobiography, titled In My Stride, the 40-year-old firstly admits that the pair’s separation took her by surprise.

"I was in shock. I know that following break-ups, people often say they didn’t see it coming and it sounds like a cliche, but that was me,” she writes.

Helen notes that she believes she missed "signs" that her relationship was coming to an end, because she was too "consumed" by work and family.

The Countryfile presenter went on to share that she initially chose to hide her split from her parents, as she did not want to "inflict" pain on them.

However, after realising that she was spending a lot of time without Richie, Helen's father made a surprise visit to her home, where the TV star eventually told her dad the upsetting news.

"He immediately stepped in, knowing I needed him, even though I didn’t want to admit it," she writes.

Looking to the future, Helen pens that she wants to keep her co-parenting situation as peaceful as possible for her three children – Ernie (8), Louis (6) and Elise (1).

“I want them to know that we loved each other, but things change and that’s OK too,” she details in her memoir.

Thinking about her own romantic future, Helen concludes: “I want to enjoy this time of focusing on my kids and my career. I don’t need to try to find energy I don’t have for a new relationship.”

Ray is known for his appearance on The X-Factor back in 2006, where he placed second behind Leona Lewis.

The singer has now married his partner in an intimate ceremony, surrounded by 70 of their nearest and dearest.

Opening up to OK! about their big day, Ray reflected on seeing his bride walking down the aisle towards him. The 35-year-old admitted, “It was the moment I’d been waiting for”.

“I caught sight of her and she looked absolutely amazing, I just burst into tears”.

“All the emotion from the day, the night before and even the year we’d been planning the wedding, just hit me. I knew how Emily would’ve been feeling walking with her dad, it was overwhelming”.

Ray and Emily’s revealed their mums played big roles during the big day, but Quinn also opened up about the absence of his dad, who tragically passed away three years ago from cancer.

“Emily supported me through a lot of that time and she showed me again on our wedding day how she goes above and beyond what anyone else would do”, Quinn explained as he detailed the moving gesture his wife did for him to pay tribute to Ray’s dad.

“She gave me a tiny little pin with my dad’s picture on it that I wore on the inside of my jacket”.

“And on the sweetheart table at the wedding breakfast she put a framed photo of him by us. I would never have thought of that. It was so special”.

Ray continued, “The gold in my ring is from my dad’s wedding band, it’s the same gold my dad wore every day for 47 years. So with the ring, the pin and the photo, my dad was very much at my wedding, thanks to Emily”.

We finally have a trailer for Selling Sunset’s upcoming season!

Last week, Netflix confirmed that the seventh season of the hit reality show would be arriving on our screens next month.

Now, after that exciting news, the streaming giant has treated us to the first trailer for the brand-new episodes!

Taking to social media earlier today, the producers behind Selling Sunset revealed this juicy teaser:

Alongside the usual glamorous properties and real estate action, the trailer confirms that fans can also expect a significant dose of drama.

In particular, the teaser showcases Chrishell Stause sitting down to have a tense discussion with Marie-Lou Nurk – the new partner of Chrishell's ex-boyfriend and current boss, Jason Oppenheim. Chrishell and Jason previously dated for several months back in 2021, before he moved on with Marie-Lou in the summer of 2022.

In the clip, Marie-Lou tells Chrishell that she’s convinced that the latter is still harbouring feelings for her ex.

“I just feel like maybe there’s feelings left,” Marie-Lou argues.

“I’m losing brain cells on this conversation,” Chrishell responds, before leaving the table.

Although Jason and Marie-Lou are no longer together after calling time on their romance in May, fans can still expect to see plenty of drama as the tension between the trio continues in the upcoming season.

The arrival of the Selling Sunset trailer comes amid further discussions behind-the-scenes, as Heather Rae El Moussa hinted she is upset that she was not asked to be prominently featured in season seven.

“Season 7 is filming right now, but I’ve been off maternity leave and I’ve been excited to get back to work and so far I have not been called back,” the 36-year-old stated to E! News in March, referring to the birth of her son Tristan in January. “It’s been a little frustrating. So [I'm] not sure what’s been going on."

Selling Sunset season 7 arrives on Netflix on November 7.

Motsi Mabuse has opened up about the racist trolling she has received since joining Strictly Come Dancing.

The professional dancer joined Strictly’s judging panel in 2019, alongside fellow stars Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas.

However, despite earning the position due to her judging credits on German show Let’s Dance, Motsi has confessed that she received criticism from some Strictly viewers, as they claimed that she was only given the judging role because of the colour of her skin.

Motsi, who is also the sister of two-time Strictly pro champion Oti Mabuse, appeared on the Reign podcast earlier this week to discuss her career so far.

During the interview, host Josh Smith asked her about her experiences with racism from Strictly trolls.

“What I really, really, really, really dislike is when people are like, 'She got it because she's black’. It takes away from every black woman and in my example, it takes away my experience,” the 42-year-old explained.

“It takes away my quality. It takes away everything that I have been through and marched on through to be there,” she added.

Motsi then went on to detail why she dislikes being given a label by trolls.

“When you just see the label, 'Oh she's black, you know the first Strictly black judge, the first this,' it takes away 15 years of experience as a judge. It takes away 30 years of my experience as a dancer,” she admitted.

“Maybe my experience as a dancer is not your experience, but maybe my growth coming from South Africa and going through all levels is a different kind of experience, which gives me a different side of the ball,” she continued.

“Everything needs to become a normality without saying, 'Oh my gosh, we've got one black person, we've got a same sex couple, we've got this,' the labels, this is what we all really need to get over,” Motsi concluded.

Bobby is currently taking part in Strictly Come Dancing and is known for his role as Freddie Slater in EastEnders, which he just won a NTA Rising Star award for.

While chatting to OK!, TV presenter Jeff explained, “As much as Bobby's a dancer on Strictly these days, when he comes home, there's a wash in the tumble dryer that I want him to fold up, or I want him to help me to make dinner”.

“These things just keep him grounded. I definitely feel like that's a big, big role – I need to make sure Bob has a balance and doesn't necessarily let himself float away”.

“Although things are great, and we celebrate that, we also make sure we come back to being humble and making sure that as a family, we're all there for one another”.

“Am I actually helping my kids, If I still allow them to live like they're 16 when they're 20?”.

He went on to say, “But that's a personal decision, and it's for every household and every parent to decide what they think is the right level of reality for their kids to experience”.

After Bobby won his NTA, Jeff opened up about how proud he was of his son’s achievements.

It is believed that suspected human remains have been found at the home of missing woman Tina Satchwell.

Earlier today, Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster arrived at a property in Co. Cork, which is currently being examined by Gardaí as part of the investigation into Tina’s murder.

The Assistant State Pathologist attended the house at the request of Gardaí, after suspected human remains were found at the property. It is not yet known where exactly the remains were found.

Tina vanished from her home on Grattan St in Youghal, Co. Cork on March 20, 2017. Her husband Richard is the last known person to see her alive that morning, and he reported her missing four days later.

Despite a lengthy and thorough investigation by Gardaí into her disappearance, the then 45-year-old has never been found.

On Tuesday (October 10), over six years since she was last seen, the missing person’s inquiry into Tina’s disappearance was upgraded to a murder investigation.

On that same day, Gardaí arrested a man in his 50s on suspicion of murdering the Cork woman. However, yesterday evening, a Garda spokesperson confirmed that the man had since been released without charge.

Following on from the man’s release, Gardaí have been continuing to investigate Tina’s home in Youghal.

According to Garda sources, the investigation into Tina’s suspected murder was revived due to their team receiving “strong new intelligence”.

“This is a murder investigation. If anyone has any information, don’t assume that we know it,” Chief Superintendent Vincent O’Sullivan stated earlier this week, adding: “The search will be as thorough and meticulous as it can be.”

Chief Supt O’Sullivan also paid tribute to Tina’s loved ones, noting: “It’s a tough time for any family. It’s not easy. The focus must now be on Tina.”

Gardaí continue to appeal for any person who may have information relevant to the investigation to contact Midleton Garda Station on (021) 462 1550, the Garda Confidential Line on (1800) 666111 or any Garda Station.
