Sammy Root has finally opened up about the details behind his breakup with Jess Harding.

Earlier this month, it was widely reported that the reigning Love Island winners had called time on their romance, just two months after leaving the villa.

“I at least wanted a face to face conversation to see if our relationship could be saved,” he wrote at the time.

Now, a few weeks on, Sammy has finally broken down the timeline of events surrounding his separation from Jess.

“Long story short, we spoke and for like a week or something, things were all over the place. There’s a lot of pressure when you come out, I think Jess was struggling more with it,” he confessed.

“We kind of on the phone said – you know how you say in the heat of an argument, ‘We’re done’ – we did that a couple of times and ended up sorting it out. “I thought, when she gets back, we’ll either sort it out or dead it. Then I just woke up a couple days later and it was just in the press. I was like, ‘Alright… guess I’m on my own!'” he exclaimed. 

Lastly, Sammy revealed how he feels towards Jess now, noting that they messaged “a little” following media reports of their split. 

“We did end on nice terms, we’re still fine. I said hello to her at Pride of Britain [Awards],” he confirmed.

It’s Cat Deeley’s birthday!

The former SMTV Live presenter is celebrating her 47th birthday today. To mark the special occasion, Cat’s husband Patrick Kielty has shared an emotional tribute for his wife.

Taking to Instagram earlier today, the new host of The Late Late Show showcased an adorable video of Cat playing cards with the couple’s two sons, seven-year-old Milo and five-year-old James.

Alongside the sweet clip, Patrick also chose to post an abundance of snaps of the mother-of-two enjoying life with her little ones, as well as a candid black-and-white image of the happy couple.

“That’s alright Mama…Happy Birthday to this one,” 52-year-old Patrick gushed in the caption of his post.

“Still stuck between card cheats, big hair, small boys, faithful dogs, long manes and an Irishman. We love you,” he penned further.

Following Patrick’s heartwarming post, many other famous faces have since taken to his comments section to send Cat their well-wishes.

“Happy birthday Cat! X,” replied former Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore.

“The best human x,” agreed This Morning host Dermot O’Leary.

“How gorgeous. Happy Birthday Cat!! XXX,” added singer Imelda May.

Cat’s special day comes as the family-of-four have been adjusting to Patrick’s new career move. Last month, the Co. Down comedian replaced Ryan Tubridy as the brand-new host of RTÉ’s The Late Late Show.

Speaking to RSVP Magazine, Patrick detailed how he commutes from his family home in London to the studios in Dublin each week.

“Weirdly, this show is going to bring the most routine that we’re going to have as a family. What’s nice is that I’ll still get to do a few school runs at the start of the week,” he explained.

“I still have a house in Co. Down so I’m going to see that side of the family and get to be in Ireland. It’s not going to be as much of an upheaval as you may think,” he teased.

Dancing on Ice have confirmed the professional dancers that will be competing in the upcoming season. 

The new season of the hit skating show will be returning to our screens at the beginning of 2024, with the hosts yet to be announced. 

The celebrities that will be battling it out on the ice rink were revealed over the past few weeks and now Dancing on Ice have confirmed which pros will be helping the celebs make it to the final. 

Professional dancers that will be returning to the show are Vanessa Bauer, Colin Grafton, Mark Hanretty, Brendyn Hatfield, Sylvain Longchambon and Tippy Packard.

Andy Buchanan and Robin Johnstone will also be back on after a break of one season. 

There are four newcomers in the line-up of professional dancers including Amani Fancy, Vanessa James, Annette Dytrt and Simon Sénécal.

Earlier today Alexandra Schauman and Łukasz Różycki revealed they would not be returning to the programme. Matt Evers also revealed that he would be hanging up his skates and not be back on the show.

The famous faces that will be taking to the ice to try and take home the Dancing on Ice trophy are boxer Ricky Hatton, Brookside actress Claire Sweeney, S Club 7 singer Hannah Spearritt and Love Island’s Amber Davies. 

Other stars include Olympian Greg Rutherford, Made in Chelsea's Miles Nazaire, comedian  Lou Sanders, EastEnders’ Ricky Norwood, radio presenter Adele Roberts, Coronation Street's Ryan Thomas and Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi.

Former Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb had signed up to the show but has had to withdraw from taking part after he sustained an ankle injury. 

It is yet to be announced which Dancing on Ice professionals will be partnered up with which celebrities, but we cannot wait to see who will be paired together.

Amy has now delighted fans with adorable family photos at a pumpkin patch, featuring matching outfits with her and her son.

The cute pictures show Amy, Sam and Stanley posing alongside ample pumpkins as well as of them out in a pumpkin field. 

Amy and Stanley were in matching jumpers as the former reality star’s top said, ‘Mama to the cutest pumpkin’, while Stanley’s read, ‘Cutest pumpkin in the patch’. 

The mum-of-one captioned the post, “Our little pump-king. Best day at the pumpkin patch again!”.

“Second year we’ve been with our friends, last year with a 2&1 year old, this year with a 3&2 year old, a 7 month old and an 8 day old baby!”.

She explained, “Excited for this to become a family tradition. The best day. Rogate is such an amazing patch, we go every year and it gets better every time!”.

“It’s family run and all the kids and cousins were all working there today!”.

Stanley also got to enjoy his first tractor ride with his dad and Amy admitted, “He didn’t cry so I think we’re on for Disney now”.

Charlotte Crosby has been reflecting on her motherhood experience as she opens up about her daughter’s first birthday party. 

The former Geordie Shore star welcomed her daughter, Alba, into the world last October with her boyfriend Jake Ankers.

Now that Alba has turned one year old, Charlotte has shared an insight into the pumpkin patch-themed birthday party she organised for her baby girl.

While chatting to OK! Charlotte admitted she was ‘stressed’ about organising a get-together for Alba and her little pals. 

The reality star explained, “I know children of all different ages. So, I stressed quite a lot in the lead-up to it, trying to make sure that the party had a little bit for everyone”.

“But honestly, it was so satisfying watching how much everyone loved it”.

Crosby revealed she had a children’s entertainer, bouncy castle, soft play area, a photo display area that was decorated with pumpkins, hay and Alba’s name spelt out in lights.

She continued, “I put on a big birthday and it wasn’t just for Alba, it was for everyone to enjoy. It had a full soft play set-up and you could order a Sunday dinner”.

“If you wanted to drink, you could have one too. Alba and all our family and friends had a great time, it went so well”.

Guests that attended the party included former Geordie Shore stars Sophie Kasaei, Holly Hagan and her husband Jacob Blyth with their son Alpha-Jax, and Kyle Christie with his fiancée Vicky Turner and their son Crew Jax.

With Alba dressed in a pink princess-style dress, Charlotte described her as “just the most adorable, loving little girl and her thumbs up and lion’s roar are the cutest things ever!”.

Charlotte then revealed how her life has become much better since having her baby girl.

“I haven’t been surprised about how much I’m loving motherhood. It’s something I’ve always wanted with the right person and I’ve found that in Jake. He’s my soulmate and the best dad ever”.

“Motherhood hasn’t really changed me. But it has made my life so much better. I literally feel like Iife has levelled up since I became a mam, I was born to do this”.

Charlotte also admitted, “It’s gone too fast. It’s true what they say. Treasure every moment, they are so precious and fly by”.

Tributes have been paid to an Irish woman who has been shot dead in a suspected murder-suicide.

39-year-old Denise Morgan, who was originally from Tullyallen, near Drogheda, was found dead at a property in Queens over the weekend. 

A 33-year-old man was also discovered dead in the second floor living room, and a firearm was located beside him. It is believed that he was an American man, who was known to Denise.

According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), officers arrived at the property after receiving a 911 call at 2.44am in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Following the discovery of the two bodies, they were removed from the scene and taken for postmortems. 

Local media have reported that the NYPD are not looking for anyone else in relation to the two deaths, and a spokesperson for the force stated that “investigations are ongoing.”

Following confirmation that Denise Morgan lost her life over the weekend, her family and loved ones have been paying tribute to the Co. Louth native.

The Cottage Bar and Restaurant, where Denise worked, wrote on their Facebook page that all of their staff are “in shock and sorrow”.

“It is incredibly difficult to comprehend the void left by her sudden departure. Her warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Our heartfelt condolences are for her family as you mourn this profound loss. We will always appreciate the person she was,” the Irish-American establishment added.

Denise’s two sisters, Lisa Morgan and Shannon Morgan, also posted a heartbreaking tribute to their late sibling. 

“We love you forever and always baby sister until we meet again, our lives will never be the same again,” Lisa penned, while Shannon added: “No words can express the pain we are dealing with now”.

Heather Rae El Moussa is celebrating her wedding anniversary with her husband Tarek El Moussa two years after they tied the knot. 

The couple said, ‘I do’, back on October 23, 2021 with a lavish ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest. 

Two years on, the Selling Sunset star is celebrating her anniversary by reflecting on her and Tarek’s big day and sharing an insight into the special occasion on social media. 

Heather took to Instagram to share a video from her wedding day to her 3.1M followers. 

The emotional footage shows Heather and Tarek exchanging vows at the altar, as well as snippets of Heather walking down the aisle and Tarek getting emotional as he sees her. 

The vows began with the groom stating, “You were just a dream to me and it was a dream I thought I’d never have”.

Heather said, “I can’t believe I manifested the perfect man for me. You’re my other half and you truly are the best human I’ve ever met in my whole life”.

Tarek went on to say, “I was a man who lost hope and all that changed when I met you. You taught me how to love myself again. You changed me from the inside out”.

“You truly completely complete me and make me a better man, a better father, a better son, a better friend and a better human. I promise to show you everyday that you picked the right man”.

Heather then added, “My sweet love, life without you would be unimaginable. I love you more than the world, you and me forever”.

Posting another video with a behind-the-scenes look at the real estate agent getting ready on the morning of her wedding, with clips of the ceremony and reception, the 36-year-old revealed she and her hubby would be celebrating their anniversary all weekend. 

She captioned the sweet post, which was set to Taylor Swift’s song Lover, “My lover. Going into our wedding anniversary with the fullest, happiest heart. Will be reminiscing and reliving moments from our wedding all weekend long”.

After tying the knot in 2021, Heather and Tarek welcomed their first child into the world together back in January- a baby boy named Tristan. 

Tarek is also dad to eight-year-old Brayden and 13-year-old Taylor, whom he shares with ex-wife Christina Hall.

Ben Foden is about to become a dad again!

The former rugby star has announced that he and his wife Jackie Belanoff Smith are expecting another baby.

The pair, who live in New York, are already parents to three-year-old daughter Farrah. However, Ben and Jackie have revealed that their joyful baby news has come after they recently suffered three devastating miscarriages.

In an interview with OK!, Jackie explained that she found out in April that she was expecting again.

“I kept getting excited about the pregnancies, but nothing stuck. After the third, we kept thinking, ‘We’ll see if it happens – if it does, it does and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t.’ It’s hard not to get your hopes up when you really want another baby,”  the 38-year-old confessed.

“It’s a lot for your body to get pregnant four times in one year – it’s hard. The first pregnancy got to around seven or eight weeks, and the others were much earlier, so that’s why we wanted to wait to make sure everything was OK with this one. Plus, with my age, a lot of things can go wrong,” she added.

Ben, who co-parents daughter Aoife (11) and eight-year-old son Tadhg with his ex-wife Una Healy, went on to explain how he broke the news to them.

“They’ll also be coming over for Christmas, just before the baby is born. We usually go back to England for Christmas and rotate every year with Una in Ireland, but Jackie won’t be able to travel then, so the kids will come here,” he exclaimed.

After his split from Una in 2018, Ben tied the knot with Jackie just two weeks after meeting through a mutual friend in August 2019. The pair later went on to welcome daughter Farrah in May 2020.

Karen Hauer has penned an emotional tribute to her dance partner Eddie Kadi following their exit from Strictly Come Dancing. 

The pair are the fourth dancing couple to be eliminated so far from the show. 

They danced the Samba to Calm Down by Rema and Selena Gomez, but ended up on the bottom of the leaderboard where they battled it out against Zara McDermott and Graziano Di Prima in the dance-off.

The judges voted to save Zara and Graziano, meaning Eddie and Karen will miss out on performing during Halloween week. 

After the news of their exit broke, Karen took to social media to share a sweet message for Eddie, whom she described as her ‘best friend’, about their time together during the series. 

Posting a collection of photos from rehearsals to her 308K Instagram followers, the 41-year-old said, “To my best friend… @comeddiekadi. No one really gets to see the real Eddie behind the scenes”.

“The man that works hard day in day out. Even on those rainy days that you didn’t feel like smiling or telling a joke , you still pulled through and stayed true to yourself”.

Rebecca Adlington has announced the heartbreaking loss of her daughter at 20 weeks. 

The former Olympic swimmer took to social media to share the tragic news, revealing that when she had her 20 week scan done, there was no heartbeat. 

Rebecca released a statement to her 115K Instagram followers about the loss and revealed she had named her baby girl Harper.

The 34-year-old wrote, “I don't really have the words right now but unfortunately we went for our 20 week scan this week and they found no heartbeat”.

“I gave birth to our angel, Harper on Friday at 7pm. We held her, and had time with her. We will forever love her and remember her always”.

Adlington then thanked hospital staff before sharing a tribute to her husband Andy. “We can’t thank the staff at Wythenshawe enough. Olivia, Rachel, Emma, Keeley, your kindness and care throughout was simply incredible”.

“And Andy, your selfless support, love and help is truly amazing. I couldnt of survived without you”.

“I don't have the strength or words right now, and don't feel ready to share this news. However, I can't pretend to be OK or fake a smile. I can't have people ask me how pregnancy is or when I am due as I still look pregnant. I don’t have the strength to tell this news individually”.

“We are so truly heartbroken. Our beautiful girl. Rest in peace”.

Rebeccca then shared a quote about sorrow that reads, “‘We have no right to ask when sorrow comes “why did this happen to me?!” unless we ask the same question for every moment of happiness that comes our way’”.

The Olympic athlete announced her pregnancy while on a family trip to Disneyland Paris in September. 

The pregnancy announcement came almost a year after Rebecca revealed she suffered a miscarriage at 12 weeks last summer.

Rebecca and Andy share a two-year-old son named Albie together, while Rebecca is mum to her eight-year-old daughter Summer from a previous relationship.
